6/24/17....Got ready and headed out to pick Max and Jack up, drop the banner off for the float, and then find Gayla to car pool. The boys did so good on the float!

The parade started.  I had to walk next to the motorcycle so the Song, "Jesus is My Superhero" would keep playing through Matt's bluetooth on the bike.  It sounded so good.

I loved it when I saw Hailey, Evan and Melissa on the side of the road

Jack and Max were super excited when they saw their mom, Evan and Hailey and they threw them lots of candy

Papa was happy to see them to and gave them lots of candy
After we left the parade, we went home and changed and went to Bill's 50th reunion at a very nice farm in Bridgeport
Can you pick out what cutie is Bill?
Cute pictures of Debbie (Bill's sister) in the yearbook at  the reunion.  She's in the bottom picture and the top one too.

Picture of Bill on the football team

Cool sign they had at the reunion

Taking a picture of this group was worse than trying to take a picture of my 10 grandkids together.  Bill did great though.

Bill moved behind the lady in turquoise

The other half of the class.  The guy taking the picture is Larry Kirkpatrick.  His wife is right in front of the lady on the left on the chair.  They are the couple that moved in a house that I noticed Christians were moving out of so prayed God would have Christians move in.  The house is on another road a few miles away.  We went on a motorcycle ride and found out they bought the house and are Christians.  He works for Family Life Radio.  He used to be an announcer I loved listening to.

Panoramic view....Bill didn't graduate from Bridgeport, but went there for two years.  He had a lot of family problems, so quit school and joined the marines.  God has sure blessed him.  I am very proud of him.  The girl in the red (the second from the left) invited him to the reunion.  He was so happy

Car by Bruce's work,  you can only see the roof.  The water rose another foot after this was taken.

Driving along River Rd.  This is usually just  dry field

Freeland Rd is flooded

These poor people...their garage is filled with water.  Their roof is reflected in the water and looks like there is a roof at the bottom too.  Many house were under water.  Praying for them

We went to pick up Max and Jack in the morning.  Then we took the banner to Wes for the float.  The boys were excited to sit on the motorcycle on the float.  Bob Atkinson sat on the motorcycle and dressed like Jesus.  Isaac and Cheryl were on the float too.  Wes and Joel were in the 4 wheeler and the rest of us walked and passed out candy.  Saw Dorthy and also Matt Starke and his family.
Then we turned the corner and in a little while saw Melissa, Evan and Hailey and Phyllis and Andy.
It was a nice day for walking and we didn't have to go as fast as last year which was nice.  Last year we were running part of the time. Max and Jack were so happy to be able to throw candy, especially to their family when they saw them.  I gave them lots of candy too when I saw them and of course hugs.  We went home and got ready for Bill's 50th reunion afterward.  We went to it and had a great time.  Fun watching everyone as they got back together to meet.  After we left there, we headed home to get ready and go sit in the booth at the Shield's Festival.  On our way, Jacob called.  I was so happy to hear from him.  He is back from camp and we all sure missed him.  He had a wonderful time and couldn't pick a favorite thing to pick so just picked CAMP.  He's so cute.  We got to the booth and it had just rained.  Elaine and Barb were there and they picked everything up and kept it dry. Bob was at the booth, so Bill and I sat with him.  His wife, Joanna, came shortly after.  We had a nice visit and had quite a few stop by and want to come to our meeting.  Lots confessed Jesus as their Lord.  We were really blessed by two young boys that said they believed in and loved Jesus.  We headed home and Bill decided he wanted to take River Rd.  They had closed State st. by the river when we were coming so he thought he would take Tittabawassee "Rd.  It was closed too.  Then he thought he would take Freeland Rd.  It was closed too.  Next, the road we were one, River, was closed.  We had to go all the way back close to where our booth was and go down Gratiot to get across the river.  We saw lots of deer because with everything so flooded, they have to find a different place to live.  I was beginning to worry that Gratiot would be closed.  The water is touching the bottom of the bridge there.  I sure was happy to get home!
