Friday, May 3, 2024, Rainy morning, nice after 10:30, spent the day at the camper, went for walks, ither CMA friends git here in the afternoon, Bill sold his Grasshopper mower, Vikki sold her goose

Morning Bible reading and prayer time
Cozy camper in the rain
Our friends camper is just like ours on the outside, only a little shorter and different floor plan inside. Same year!
Our twin campers facing opposite directions so we can hang out together outside!
Bill had to leave for home at 4:30 because someone was coming to look at the Grasshopper mower
Jacob ready to go to Grand Rapids to take Abi on a date.

We got ready and Bill had a protein drink and i ate left over pizza from last night for breakfast.  It rained steady all night and was still raining in the morning, only was a light rain.  Bill went outside ti read his Bible.  I read mine inside with the heater going.  Good thing Bill lowered one end of our awning before bed last night.
It’s so easy with this RV to jut pull down the bar a little.  Even easy for me to do.  Jim came outside, the shortly after Bev and  I went out.  We visited and then I walked with Bill to the bathrooms to check out the showers. Very nice but it sure was cold in there.  Jim forgot his medicine, so left on his motorcycle to go get it.  Bill, Bev and I walked around the campground.  We saw some campers come in, so went to see if they were CMA members.  They were our friends Dave,Chrissy, Al and Lucy. They put their campers in our area.  I took a nap on the couch in our camper, since the rain kept me awake lots last night.  Bill had to leave to show the grasshopper mower to someone From Indiana.  He loved it and bought it.  Vikki had called me and i told her to be praying because someone was coming to look at it both for Bills protection and to sell it.  Someone was coming to look at the goose on my porch Vikki was selling at round the same time Bill had the guy coming. Vikki’s goose sold too! Yay! What a great day!  Vikki FaceTimed me and showed me some free stuff she got in a bag frim s lady. I picked some stuff and there was stuff Hailey will like for her apartment next year.  Bill got back and we sat outside and visited with Jim, Bev and Tiny.  I warmed goulash up fot Bill and Tiny. Bill and i played 3-13 and we were six points apart at the King round.  Bill went out on the Ace round and won.  He was getting nervous though lol.

Thurs., 5/2/24, packed last minute stuff, fed birds, made goulash, went to campground, Bev and Jim camped next to us, went out for pizza, played 3-13

Kit Kat doesn’t like her house moved I guess
Relaxing at our campsite
This English Mastiff dog was beautiful and so friendly. He’s a year old and his name is Monster

Bev by him
Bill beat me bad in 3-13

We got ready and packed the last minute stuff, then Bill went into town and got me some tomato juice so I could finish making the goulash.  When he got home, he carried the stuff from the car and handed it to me in the camper.  I put it away.  He put in a new filter and turned on the bypass to the water.  Then he pushed the automatic leveler button and after it was level, put the slide out in.  I drove the motor home and he led the way in the trike.  It was sunny and 70 degrees out.  We picked our campsite out, then he did the outside stuff and I did the inside stuff.  It sure goes quick with the motor home.  We ate lunch outside. He had two pb&J’s and I had goulash. We took catnaps in our gravity chairs under the awning and we could hear it sprinkling lightly.  Very relaxing.  We went for a walk to see if Jim and Bev were here and when we got to the driveway coming into the campground, we saw them pulling in.  They just got a motor home the same year and a Thor Quantum too, just 4 feet shorter than ours.  We helped with setting them up, only a few easy things to do.  I went in to see their camper. Cuts really cute and a lot is the same as ours.  They wanted us to go out to eat, so we rode our trikes to Breckenridge and went to a nice Cafe.  The food was delicious. We all got pizza except Bill had nachos.  We came back to the campground and covered the trike, then came in and read our Bibles.  It started raining again and was raining a little harder, so Bill went out and lowered a side of the awning.  So nice to just have to pull the bar to the awning a little.  We played a game of 3-13. As you can see from the score sheet, Bill was pretty happy.  Nice to relax camping again.

Wed, May 1, 2024, Happy Birthday Debbie, We love you! Found an igloo house for Kit Kat by the side of the road by a doctors house down the road

Kit Kat went right in her new house
Then she went all the way in

I went to my doctors appointment in the morning.  Good reports from blood test.  She’s setting up a referral for my hand.  Going to see about surgery for the Dupuytrens contracture on my right hand.   I picked up donuts and an ice Capp and Mocha and went to visit Melissa.  Max was happy to get his favorite Boston Cream. We had a nice visit, then I had to get home to pack more.  Bill went out with Charlie.  Charlie told him he’s been praying before he goes to bed and it’s helping. He’s feeling better.  He also told Sue he appreciates her and all she does.  He was so down when I was over the to deliver the cake that I went over and prayed for him.  The Lord is working quickly.  Bill brought Max over to target  practice. They had a good time.  I took Max home for Bill.

Tues., 4/30/24, Happy Birthday Evan! We love you! Wes and Gayla came over, Kenzie and Rehvyn came over, Barb and Ron came over,Bill mowed the lawn, I went to prayer,

Happy 13th Birthday Evan!  You are an amazing grandson!  We love you so much.
Sweet Rehvyn was so sweet when he was here today
Kenzie, Rehvyn and Suzie.  Susie loved Rehvyn.  It was her first time around a baby.  Kenzie loved Susie!
Kenzie holding Rehvyn
I took these cute pictures today and didn’t even notice the blanket formed a heart.  My happy boy makes my heart full
I only took one picture of an oriole today.  They were here lots again and Kenzie saw one eating out of the liquid feeder and called me to show me.  It’s the only time I’ve seen one at it.

I tried to call Evan at 7:45 before he got to school at 8, but just missed him.  Wes and Gayla called and wanted us to go out for breakfast, but I was in the shower so couldn’t get ready in time.  They stopped over after they ate.  We played the Penny Game.  They liked it.  We all think Joel will be able to play it with us.  We visited and then went outside to look at our pond and garden, since they haven’t seen it.  They left so Wes could get home and mow his grass and Bill wanted to mow ours.  Kenzie called and wanted to come earlier than planned.  Yay!  That gave me more time with Rehvyn and her. She wanted a coffee, but then I asked if she wanted a cappuccino.  She sure loved it!
Rehvyn is getting so close to rolling over.  He gets in the right position and tries, but he doesn’t quite have the arm movement yet.  We heard Mylee outside barking, and Kenzie looked out the front door and said a couple with a black dog was coming to the door.  I couldn’t think of who had a black dog,  It was Ron and Barb with their dog Susie.  They brought the CMA banners we need for the event we’re having this weekend.  They came in and visited for quite a while.  Susie is a good doggie.  Kenzie loved her because she reminded her of Ginger.  Susie was really interested in Rehvyn.  We enjoyed our visit with them.  Kenzie made a turkey and cheese sandwich, and I had cottage cheese for lunch.  Bill had a peanut butter and jelly sandwich.  He went out to mow the grass.  Kenzie stayed for a while longer, then she took Rehvyn to her mom’s.  She took Mylee too, but ended up calling me back and brought Mylee back here to leave her til Jared came at around 4:20 to pick her up and take her to their house.  Kenzie and Travis were leaving to go to a festival in Florida today.  They are driving straight through.  Jared came and picked Mylee up.  He had to leave right away because Adam has a soccer game tonight.  I finished getting stuff together, then packed it in the camper for our camping trip this weekend.  Only refrigerator needs to be packed now and last minute things.

At 6, Bill and I called Evan and sang Happy Birthday to him and talked to him for a while.  He had play practice after school, so we had to wait until he got home.  He was his cute happy cheerful self and very excited about his birthday.  He is one thoughtful boy!

I left at 6:15 to go to our church prayer group.  Tonight we prayed over our worship director and technical director and for one of our worship leaders, after we all worshiped together.
It was an awesome time together praising and seeking the Lord.

I had some strawberries and a piece of cake when I got home.  Yum!  It was 8 and I still got to see an oriole.

Monday, April 29, 2024, Had my first orioles come today, Bill did a funeral this morning, the lily Kenzie gave me is coming up, Bill took Max to Lapeer to 5 Guys, I made an angel food cake for Charlie and Sue

Sorry for all of the Oriole pictures....today was the first time I’ve seen them at the feeders this year so I was pretty excited.  One feeding on the jelly and another one above waiting for a turn
Two eating at the same time
One on the feeder and another one waiting in the tree
I thought the Lily Kenzie gave me and we planted together on reveal day for Rehvyn wasn’t coming up because Kimmy’s has been up for a while and I had no sign of it, then they dug all the clay off the top of the garden, and then the guys moved the stepping stones, so didn’t know if it was under where one was.  I wanted all of that done so just thought I would get a start from Kimmy since she has new ones coming up.  I was pleasantly surprised today when I saw it coming up.  It is special to have mine for sure.
Another evening picture of an oriole.  What a fun day.  They didn’t disappoint!

It was a rainy morning.  I got up at 6:20 and went to get my blood test so I would beat the crowd.  I was the second one called in.  I went to Meijer to get Debbie a birthday card so I could get it in the mail today.  I also sent a sympathy card to Sam and Kim, our neighbors because his dad passed away.  I picked up an angel food cake, strawberries and cool whip so I could make it for Charlie and Sue.  Charlie really liked it when I had one here, and told Bill the next day he sure would like one.  I ate breakfast and had a cup of coffee. Bill left to go do the funeral.  We both went to the funeral home last night.  We had met Butch once, but didn’t really know him.  He was only 55.  He had the same thing Charlie had and went through the same surgery.  He only had about 3 months that he lived after that.  Charlie is going on 4 years.  So thankful to still have him around!

I moved my summer clothes downstairs and put my sweaters upstairs in the dresser upstairs.  When it quit raining, I walked out to check on the fish.  I didn’t see them.  I got a branch and cleaned out about 6 huge leaves from the Sycamore tree.  Then I saw both fish swimming.  I decided to put a couple big leaves back in for the fish to go under.  I put food in my flat feeder and checked the oranges on the oriole feeder.  They were pretty cleaned out.  The jelly was just about gone too, so I thought maybe orioles have been coming, but I haven’t been home enough to see them.  I was so happy when I looked out and saw two on the feeder.  Yay!  I also saw my Lily from Kenzie poking through in my flower garden.  Yay!

I came in the house and listened to good worship music.  I also watched the orioles a lot.  Bill called me to let me know the funeral went good and they were going to the gravesite. I took a nap since I was so tired from getting up so early after going to bed so late last night.  Kenzie called me and I asked her to turn it into FaceTime so I could see my sweetie Rehvyn.  He was so cute and smiley, almost laughing.  That made my day too.  It was a yay kind of day!  Bill got home, but had to leave right away to go pick up Max.  When he was leaving, he asked me if they went out to eat, if I wanted to go.  I said yes.  They called and were going to Lapeer to 5 Guys.  I really like that place, but decided to just stay home and eat my left overs from Lucky’s I brought home yesterday.  Max was cute and sent me a peanut from there to have.  He got one for his mom too.  So funny!

I took the angel food cake I made over to Charlie and Sue along with strawberries and cool whip.  Meijer had beautiful strawberries for 99 cents.  You didn’t have to look for good ones; they were all good.  I talked to them out on the porch for a while, then I prayed for Charlie.  He is weak and his blood pressure is really low from some medicine they put him on.

I edged the rest of the trim in front of the house.  I talked to Melissa while I did it.  Then I hauled the branches that fell off the birch tree out to the back wood pile.  Some were pretty big.  Bill got home and helped carry the last two branches for me.  I was trying to get it done for him because I knew he had a busy day. He told me Charlie was really happy with his cake and texted him how yummy it was.  Bill thanked me for making him a cake too.  It was a yellow cake with chocolate frosting.  He was happy.  He didn’t want an angel food cake, because he likes regular cake better.

Talked with Vikki and Kimmy each for a while.  Vikki is painting her goose and Kimmy touched up her goose.  Kimmy showed me pictures of her ducks.  They are growing fast.

Sunday, April 28, 2024

Sunday, 4/28/24, The boys and I ate breakfast, went to church, Bill and I went to our prayer groups, Vikki, Peyton, and I were all in the same class today. After church, we met Sue and Doug and Ron to plan our Michigan CMA Rally

Me, Isaac, Rody, Vikki, Jack, Eli, and Peyton in church waiting for the service to start.  Bill took the picture
Adam, Jack, Milo and Eli...Nice the boys have friends at our church
Vikki took this of our class today...The kids sure know the answers to the questions before I can even finish asking them.
Peyton and Goldie at church
Kimmy hung the dangle prism I got for her while we stopped at the Farm Market so Danielle and Joey could meet Rehvyn.  It looks so nice by her window.  I’m glad she let me give it to her.  She didn’t want to take it at first.  It made me so happy when she did.

I got ready, then got the boys up to get ready and have breakfast.  They got up really good for staying up past Midnight.  We only had time for cereal, but they were so cute saying it was their favorite kinds and how they like coming here because they get their favorite things.  They wanted coffee too.  Jack had a little coffee in his creamer lol.

We went to church and they sat in the sanctuary while we went to prayer.  It was awesome prayer today.  We went in to the sanctuary and Vikki, Rody and the kids were in our row too.  Bill took a picture.  The couple behind us asked us if we wanted them to be part of our family and be in it.  They are a really sweet couple.  Worship was really good.  We went back to Sunday school after class.  Cassie, who is over the children’s ministry, was in a wedding yesterday, so we had lots of firsts.  No lesson and activity sheets on the counter,
(I had problems running off the lesson last night and almost gave up, but decided to try a couple of more times and was successful). It was a good thing or I wouldn’t have had a lesson to go by.  We were going to watch the video of the big Story, and the tv wouldn’t work.  Joan happened to come in to check on it and it was unplugged.  Then the story started and the kids said they had seen that one.  I went back and it was the right date and the right video that went with the lesson.  At the end the activity was to make shakers that the kids to shake and remember to be brave like Paul.  They had to cut their paper in half, then they all needed help with folding it over the end of the paper towel holder and taping it securely.  Then they had to roll up some foil in a ball.  They had given us sheets that would have been way too big to fit in the paper towel holder, so I quick ripped them in to smaller sizes.  Then we were supposed to mix the rice and the beans, but there was no container to mix them in.  I finally found a jar in the cupboard.  We had to pour some in each kids paper towel holder which took time.  Then we had to help them put the paper over the other end and tape it securely.  We had four of us helping.  We got the notice that we had five more minutes.  Our other pastor, Pastor Dan, gave the message and finished a half hour early.  Yikes.  We finished but sure had to fit a lot in that short amount of time.  We all said, Wow, the Holy Spirit sure helped us.  I was praying last night and this morning for the Holy Spirit’s help.  So thankful He was there for us.  I sure had a great team of helpers.  We visited after church for a while and the boys hung out with their friends.  We came home and I put a pizza in the oven for the boys (their choice).  They were sweet and gave compliments on the pizza being so good.  It was only an Aldi’s large Take Home pizza.  No wonder I love having them around.  They went outside to hang out.  Bill and I took a 30 minute nap, then we had to leave for Okemus to meet at Lucky’s with friends Ron, Sue and Doug to plan the CMA State Rally.  Bev couldn’t come because she has been really sick with a cough, sore throat and congestion.  We prayed for her.  She did send some notes with good suggestions.  We had great meals.  I brought 2/3’s of my Chicken Alfredo home so will get at least two more meals out of it.  Bill ate his whole perch dinner.  I was happy when Kenzie face timed me so I could see Rehvyn and talk to him.  He sure does pay attention.  Kenzie is always fun to talk to too.  Sure do love my family.  Bill worked on the funeral he has to do tomorrow for Butch from church.  I proof read it for him.  I worked on my Blog.  We relaxed the rest of the night.  It has been a busy week.

The boys did a fine job making our burgers and bacon on the grill
Jack, Eli and Papa dishing up their food.  Vikki came just in time to eat with us too.
Pictures Vikki took of Hope and Adam ready for the prom.  She looked beautiful and he looked very handsome

Bill and I went to drop off items at Faith Rider’s Garage Sale on Geddes Rd. for Run For The Son to raise money for three missions, Mission Ventures, The Jesus Film, and Global Christian Outreach. Then drove to Freeland to stop at The Faith Riders Booth, to see if they needed any help. We visited for a while with them.  We also went and talked for a while with the Gidean who had a table there and was passing out Bibles.  After we walked around more, we went and had breakfast at the Riverside Restaurant by the river.  We enjoyed watching squirrels eat off their feeders outside and also enjoyed watching the boats go by with the Walleye fishermen in them.   Kenzie called me and said they would be stopping over in twenty minutes.  Kenzie, Rehvyn, Hailey and Peyton came over after they finished going to garage sales. I love how they went shopping together.  Vikki did go for a while and showed them a good subdivision to go in.  They found lots of stuff.  Jacob and Eli came over. It’s Jacob’s first day home from MSU and I was so happy to see him.  He was so sweet and gave me a hug goodbye and told me he loved me.  Then he turned around and came and gave me one more hug.  Then he got in his car, got out and told me he loved me again.  I am so blessed with loving grandkids.   We played the Penny Game, ate drumsticks, Eli put two fish in our pond and had fun hanging out together. Melissa, Jack and Evan came after the other grandkids left. Melissa dried some clothes and Evan loved hanging out with Jack and Eli. Eli wanted him to spend the night with them, but he had to go home and mow the grass because Bruce had called and told Melissa he needed to do that. Jack and Eli are spending the night. Yay! The boys cooked the burgers and bacon out on the grill and I made fried potatoes and broccoli.  The burgers and bacon were delicious on our hamburger bun.  Yum! Eli loves cooking and so does Jack.  In the evening, Jack put a movie on Air Play for us to watch.  It was animated and was such a cute movie and very funny.  I laughed so hard.   Grandkids are so much fun!  I did my Sunday School lesson.  I had a very hard time getting it to come up on the computer, but I finally got it.  I usually have it done way before this, but this has been a very busy week.  Of all weeks for it to take so long.  It is a great lesson and will be fun for the kids.
