12/30/16...went to the dentist to get a partial, went to Sam's club with Vikki, Peyton and Isaac, Stacie came over

Bill went to the Sports Zone and Tony's daughter's came there and asked Bill to do Tony's funeral.  Bill said he would be honored.  I left to go to my dentist appointment at 10.  Just a quick appointment to get my partial.  Sure do like my dentist and the people in his office.  They are all so nice.  After my appointment, I picked Vikki and the kids up and we went to Sam's Club.  They had yummy nuts for samples as we came in the door, but no more samples anywhere else and this was a Friday.  Couldn't figure out why.  We got the stuff we needed and then we went to Taco Bell for lunch.  Couldn't believe everything fit in the trunk of my car.  I had a huge thing of paper towels, toilet paper and Vikki had a huge bag of dog food, plus other stuff.  Stopped at Jacks on our way to Vikki's so she could get milk and whipped cream.  Went in for a few minutes and then left to come home.  Stacie called and came over shortly after we were home and visited quite a while. Feeling bad with all she is going through with her dad and his PTSD.  She sure is a dear person and a giver.  We had a nice talk with her and then prayed over her.  We ate left over roast, carrots and potatoes and then watched a movie.  Kimmy texted and said Eli is sick again and Andrew is feeling sick.  Praying more!  Melissa texts and Max and Jack were both puking and now Hailey isn't feeling well.  Still praying!  Praying those who didn't have it don't get it.

12/29/16....Went to Breakfast in Frankenmuth with Debbie and then picked Peyton and Isaac up and watched them for Vikki while she took Karen to the hospital for a biopsy

Power Pressure Cooker Bill got me for Christmas

Went to pick Debbie up at 8 and then went to DaVinci's for breakfast.  It sure as a good breakfast too.  On our way home, we picked up Peyton and Isaac.  We went in first and saw all the stuff they got for Christmas.  They were really cute on the ride to our house, talking the whole time.  We got to our house and they were happy our Christmas tree was still up.  I brought lots of toys up from the basement for them to play with.  They had fun playing for a long time, and then we did the "What God wants for Christmas nativity with the story.  They took turns opening the boxes and putting the pieces in the nativity.  They talked a lot about the Christmas story and knew a lot about it.  They loved doing it and really liked looking in box #7 which was what God wants for Christmas.  It has a mirror in it so right away they said God wanted them.  Loved it!  They ate lunch and then they decorated their gingerbread men after that and did a great job.  They wanted to watch Curious George, so while they did that I pealed carrots and potatoes.  I talked to Vikki and she was on her way, so I invited her to stay for dinner and to call Rody to come too.  I put the carrots, potatoes, and a rump roast in my new Power Pressure Cooker and set it for 1 hour.  It was delicious and love how fast it cooks and how safe it it.  It is a slow cooker, canner, pressure cooker, rice cooker and lots more. So easy and fast.  Can't wait to cook tomorrow night.  Vikki and I played 3-13 and a game of dice.  Rody updated our fire stick for us.  A big thank you Rody!  Appreciate you helping us so much.We all watched the Sound of Music which was fun.  Vikki sang all the songs of course.  After they left, I finished the newsletter and then we watched the movie Christmas Tree Miracle. Melissa texted me that Jack had to go to Urgent Care because of his asthma.  They gave him medication and said if it doesn't work they have to take him to ER.  They are in Muskegon.  Sure am praying for him.  We all prayed together when Vikki and her family were here.  Kimmy said Jared is sick so we are praying for him too.

Crocheted today and took a nap.  Nice relaxing day.  Wes and Gayla called and invited us for pizza and cards.  We went to the funeral home for Charlie's sister, Marilyn's, funeral visitation.  After that, we picked up the pizza from Jets on our way so Gayla wouldn't have to go out.  We got to their house and Ed and Janet were there visiting.  We all tried Gayla's foot massager she got for Christmas from Michael and Kathy.  Wes had us sign his heart pillow he got after his surgery.  Ed and Janet left right after Louise got there.  We ate pizza and had strawberry shortcake for dessert.  Yum!  After that we played 3-13.  Louise won and was pretty happy.  We all had fun playing.  So nice to have such good friends that feel like family!  Came home and watched a movie.

12/26/16..Kenzie called and wanted me to come see her and spend time together. Of course I said yes

Put the things in the cupboard to put the new shelf on.  I have been waiting for Bill to do it, but then thought it would hurt his knees and he didn't want me to ask anyone so decided I would try.  I used my laser leveler which worked great.  I got the things to hold the shelf in and he put the shelf in for me.   It is so nice because now I can store the pressure cooker and induction burner I got for Christmas in the cupboard, plus have a shelf for the other stuff I had in there.  I went to Kenzie's and sewed the button Kimmy made her on the towel holder I made her.  We visited and she showed me some things she got for Christmas, then I took her to Cracker Barrel and we had chicken salad sandwiches which were delicious. She couldn't eat too much after being sick yesterday so took more than half of her stuff home with her, plus biscuits and corn bread.  We played the game at the table and both ended up leaving just one.  We had fun doing that and talking.  Went back to her house and she showed me the blanket she is knitting and it is absolutely beautiful and so soft. I got 50 miles per gallon on the trip there and back which was so nice.  It is getting really windy outside now.  Hope my nativity doesn't blow away.  Too windy to even try to walk out there.  I tried opening the front door and it was super hard.  Just staying put and watching a nice movie with Bill.

Sitting down to eat!  Melissa and Bruce used the good China I had given them that my great grandma had bought me when I was just 17 for my hope chest.  It looked beautiful and brought back so many good memories and made even more great memories

We went to Bruce and Melissa's at 9:30.  The table was set beautiful with her china!  Loved seeing grandma's Daisy's China she got me piece by piece at Kroger's for my hope chest being used.  I passed it to Melissa when I got Grandma Daisy's china she used every Christmas passed to me by my cousin Jill.  We took some pictures and then they started opening presents.  It was funny because I was videoing and Evan opened a present that was Jack's.  Melissa said Hailey you passed out the presents wrong, but then when they looked at the tag, Melissa had written it wrong.  Melissa had been up very late so must have been because she was so tired.  Next Evan opened and as seen on TV swivel sweeper that was Melissa's.  Then to top it off, Hailey opened a present and it was what she bought for Ally.  Melissa saw it on the dresser and thought Jack could give it to Hailey.  She didn't realize Hailey got it for Ally.  I told her the video I was taking could win on funniest Home Videos.  We were laughing so hard.  So much fun watching them open their gifts.  Papa and I got a thing to shove up in the light vent of the camper so it can be dark in our room or the bunk house.  So nice since I have taped cardboard and  tried other methods of making it dark before.  Also got a memory foam bath mat which is so soft and comfy on the feet.  Can't wait to use it.  Hailey got me blueberry chocolate covered dried blueberries from Grand Haven which are so delicious.  Max got me a bar of beautifully scented soap from the Maple Grill.  Jack and Evan made pot holders at school and gave me one from each of them.  After that, we ate breakfast.  Bruce made scrambled eggs, egg casserole, potatoes, bacon, sausage, corn bread toast, fruit, chocolate chip pancakes with real maple syrup with orange juice and coffee to drink.  It was the best breakfast ever!  Such a fun morning.  We watched "It's a Wonderful Life" after that. Such a nice Christmas morning.  We left there and came home to let Mocha out and pick up some ice cream out of the freezer.  We headed to Kimmy's.   When we got there, the boys were excited to show us their lego sets they  got for Christmas.  So amazing the amazing legos sets they have now.  Jacob even put a motor in his truck and could drive it around  We got there just in time to eat a delicious dinner.  She had Aunt Martha's beautiful china set out so nice which was another good memory of a dear aunt.  She and Jared had made yummy ham, mashed potatoes, corn from the garden, rolls, chips, and doritos.  We drank out of glasses they made which was a treat.  Everything was delicious.  We weren't real hungry but it looked so good and tasted so good we kept putting it in.  We had fun playing pictionary with the boys, Kimmy and Jared.   We certainly are blessed to have such wonderful family.   We were sad we didn't get to see Vikki and her family because of her being sick.  Kenzie was sick too.  We got home and Kimmy sent me a message that Jacob was throwing up and she didn't feel good.  Started praying right away for them to get better and no one else to get it.  Amazing how fast it came on them.
