2/27/19..Got the kids up and things ready for school, Ginny made lasagna, bread sticks and cookies for us, Hailey watched the kids while I taught my kids class at church

3 Inches of snow this morning when we woke up.  They had said 6 inches, so I was happy it was only 3.  No schools were closed.  Woke the kids up to the song Good Morning, Good Morning, Good Morning.  They laughed. I helped the boys wet their hair and comb it, got breakfast around, prayed with all the kids and got them out the door when Vikki picked them up.  I had an 8 a.m. dentist appointment, so I left before Hailey was picked up.  Came home and got things done I needed to do and spent time with Bill.  After we ate lunch, I left and went to Melissa's.  I shoveled part of the driveway, and did some laundry.  I talked to Vikki and told her I would pick up the kids for her and drop them off when I went to pick up Evan and Max.  Jack at basketball practice.  Ginny was at the school and gave me dinner (lasagna, breadsticks, and cookies) she had made.  She is so sweet.  She  brought Jack home after practice.  Bill was sweet too.  He picked donuts up for us. We picked Hailey up and then went home.  The kids were very happy to have a donut.  Max shoveled the rest of the driveway.  He took a short rest, and then did his homework.  Adam face timed him and they did a game on the computer together.  He finished his homework.  I had Evan do his reading, and studied his spelling with him.  We ate dinner together, and then I had to go teach my class at church.  Got home and helped Jack with his division.  Talked to my Hailey girl for a while.  Talked to Melissa too.

2/26/19...Went to breakfast, Picked grandkids up from school, Melissa and Bruce left for NY, Went to care group for an hour

Went to breakfast.  Went home and cleaned the house and got ready for care group.  I made goulash for Bill and some to take to have for dinner with the kiddo's.  Melissa and Bruce left for Rochester, N.Y. so she could go to a teaching hospital and see a specialist for her disease.  I picked Max, Jack and Evan up from school.  We went to their house, and they had a snack and relaxed for a little bit, before starting their homework.  I studied spelling with them and their memory verse.  They were all good at doing their homework.  Melissa and Bruce got to New York safely.  Praise the Lord!  They face timed the kids.  I had to go to Care Group at our house, but only went for the hour of study time.
Left right away after, so I could get back to the kids.  Hailey is a big help with watching them for me. She had them all in bed when I got home.  I cleaned up around the house, did some laundry and went to bed. Packed lunches for the boys.  Hailey packs her own lunch.  She is amazing she's so responsible and helpful.  Set my alarm for 5:30 a.m to get up before the kids.  Love these grandkids so much!  I will say though, Melissa and Bruce are busy busy busy parents.  I am appreciating being retired so much.  No wonder we have our kids when we are young.

2/25/19...took Melissa to therapy, Went to Betty Bailey's funeral,

Made perch in my air fryer.  It turned out great

I got ready and went to Melissa's.  We visited for a while before we had to leave for therapy.  She had therapy for 4 hours again.  I went to Comfort Inn Suites and got an extension on our gift card.  We won it at the Car Show at Hopevale Church last summer.  Bill put it away and I never even thought about it till a week ago.  It expired 1/9/19, but the supervisor gave me an extension since we forgot about it.  She was very nice.  Met Bill at the church for the funeral.  He wasn't there right away, so I talked to Lorraine, Don, and Diane.   Looked at pictures with Wes and Gayla and then Bill got there.  The funeral was very nice.  She knew Jesus as her Lord and Savior, so that makes all the difference when you know you will see them again.  A granddaughter, and 2 great grandkids 8 and 11, got up and talked about their grandma.  They were so cute and so brave.  It really touched my heart.  We ate at the luncheon with Wes and Gayla afterwards.  Rose Houser was there and asked me if Bill and I would pray for her before we left.  She fell after the funeral.  We were happy to pray for her of course.  I picked Melissa up and we picked her up a hamburger and concrete mixer.  We went to her house and she went over the lists she left for me while I stay with the kids and also other things like packing lunches, medicine, etc.  I made perch in the air fryer for Bill and I for dinner.  It was crispy and yummy.  Bill had an Elder's meeting at church in the evening.  I did my devotion, my lesson for care group tomorrow night and watched a Hallmark movie.

2/24/19..Went to church, Went to Famous Daves with Diane and James, Watched the new When Calls the Heart

Went to church.  It was a "family" meeting.  Pastor explained what the church did in 2018, what money went where, and that our building will be paid off in 2 1/2 years.  So much accomplished last year.  So nice to see people who love the Lord and give to His work and see the amazing things God accomplishes through His people.  We prayed for people after church.  We were very happy when we looked and saw Bruce and Melissa up at the alter getting prayer.  I sure am praying for my sweet girl and for both of them to have a safe and good trip to New York.  It was very windy when we got out of church.  We went out to Famous Dave's with Diane and James.  They wanted to treat us.  We had a very nice time visiting with them.  Kimmy sent me a picture of their bathroom.  It's beautiful and they sure are doing an amazing job.  Can't wait to see it in person.  Talked to all of the girls.  I sure have three sweet daughters.

Emily opening gifts
Joan with Emily
Three of us Elder's wives and close family prayed for Emily at her shower.  It was such a special time seeking the Lord for His blessing, protection and guidance for Emily, Derek and their soon to be born baby.

Faith Rider's dinner at DaVinci's

Went to Emily's Baby Shower.  It was so nice and the food was delicious.  I sat with Debbie Davis, Phyllis, Nancy and Heather.  Emily got a great variety and beautiful baby things.   After the shower, I went to Frankenmuth to meet Bill at DaVinci's. I just got an appetizer, because I ate at the shower.  Bill got a cheesiness pizza.  We had fun visiting with each other.  Came home and watched a movie.

2/22/19...Stayed at Marie's until 10:15 a.m., Came home for a while, Went to Melissa's, Out to eat at Turkey Roost with Charlie and Sue, Played Euchre

Cute cousin picture of Maddie and Kenzie

Got up at 7, got ready and spent time with the Lord.  We ate oatmeal for breakfast.  At 10:15 Marie's sister in law came over to stay with her.  I left and came home and unpacked.  I watched the news and then went to Melissa's.  Helped her do some dusting since her in laws might be coming tomorrow and she has so much going on with getting ready to go to New York.  Vikki stopped over after she was done at work.  We went through some old pictures and had fun together.  After Vikki left, Bill called me and wanted me to go home and get ready to go out to the Turkey Roost with Charlie and Sue for perch.  I finished the room I was on, and left to go home and get ready.  Bill got home shortly after I got there.  We got ready and Charlie and Sue picked us up.  We had to wait outside in line for a few minutes, but got inside and sat at a table pretty quickly.  The perch was big and super delicious.  Cooked just right.  Got baked potato, coleslaw and rolls too.  Left there and came home and played Euchre.  Bill and I won all four games.  Guess you might say it was our night.  Watched a Hallmark movie.

Stayed with Marie, Helped out at Community VillageI

Bill calling bingo numbers for residents at Community Village

Roast, carrots, and potatoes and a bowl of cooked cabbage. YUM

I got everything packed and headed to Marie's.  Went down Lawndale Rd. because our road was nice and clear.  I went for a few miles and then it started having icy spots. I looked ahead and the whole road looked very icy for quite a distance.  I backed up, turned around in a driveway, and went back the other direction.  I turned on Pierce Rd. and it was clear all the way to Bay.  I stayed on the main roads after that.  I got to Marie's and Doug was putting salt down in the driveway and warned me that it was slippery.  Marie, Doug and I had oatmeal I brought for them to try for breakfast. It was organic instant oatmeal from Aldi's. They really like it.  Doug headed back to Illinois, and Marie and I put a roast, carrots, onions, potatoes and a half can of beef broth in the crockpot.  She had me dust and clean the two bathrooms, plus clean the shower in her bathroom.  She was doing better after the injection and was able to dust the extra bedroom, the den and her bedroom.  She also cleaned everything in her bathroom.  This was amazing, because she has been staying pretty much in bed all of the time.
She took a nap and I did my devotions.  At four, Marie wanted to have a sandwich, so we ate.  I had to leave at 5:30 so I could got to help Faith Riders at Community Village.  We helped the residents with their bingo cards.  Bill called the numbers.  I left there and went back to Marie's.  I ate roast, carrots, potatoes and cabbage. She had made strawberry shortcake when I was gone, so I had that too.  YUM! YUM!  Watched Christian TV and then went to bed.

Travis and Kenzie

Kenzie and Me

Me and MYkenzie...love this girl

Bill and I walked at SportsZone.  Came home and had oatmeal and then headed to Melissa's.  We visited for a little while before heading to Level 11 for her therapy.  She had 3 hours of PT and then 1 hour of OT.  I went to Walmart and picked up a couple of little toys to go with Emily's baby gift.  Picked Melissa up after that.  They were sweet and gave her 4 cupcakes for the kiddos.  Picked up a chicken sandwich at Arby's for Melissa and headed to her house.  She was pretty tired.  I came home and took care of the strawberries and bananas that I dehydrated.  Kenzie and Travis surprised us and stopped in.  We were so happy to see them.  Vikki came a few minutes later.  She was pretty happy that she won $400.  Gave Kenzie my old blowdryer and gave Vikki some dried strawberries.  Bill went to the Marine Corp League meeting.  It was sleeting out, so I was happy when Bill made it home.  He said the side roads were very icy.  We watched a Hallmark Movie when he got home.

1/19/19...Went to breakfast, went to Melissa's

Went to breakfast at Sullivans.  Wes, Andy, Phyllis, Dennis, Charlie, Don, Loraine, Dustin, Bill and I were there.  Gayla had a sleep test last night and was too tired to come.  I stopped at Melissa's afterward to take her purse to her.  She left it in the car last night.  I stayed and visited and she showed me her beautiful shower curtain, rug, towels, and toothbrush holder in her bathroom off her bedroom.  It looks so nice.  We had a nice visit and nice time of prayer.  She's nervous about her New York doctor appt. so we prayed about it.  Continuing to pray for my precious Melissa.  Picked up a couple of books for Emily's baby shower.

2/18/19...Melissa, Max and I went to Jacob's band concert

Eli holding Della's twins with Della close by

They are the cutest twins
Jacob before leaving for his band concert
Jacob sitting in the front left corner...He did an amazing job

Melissa, me, Jacob and Max after the concert

Walked at SportsZone with Bill.  Started round steak with cream of chicken soup in the crockpot.  Went grocery shopping and after I unloaded everything, I realized I had left my wallet in my backpack that I took to the SportsZone.  I couldn't pay, so told the girl I needed to go home and get the money to pay.  She said it was ok and held my groceries there. I was happy I knew her.  She's my favorite checker.  I hurried home and then went back to pay.  She added my gift cards which were 4x fuel points when I got back.  I hurried home to make mashed potatoes and corn to go with our meal.  I hauled in groceries and put them away while it was cooking.  We ate and then Bill cleaned up the kitchen while I went to pick up Melissa and Max to go to Jacob's concert.  We got to the concert and a nice lady that was behind us and we told could pass us, said she would hurry around and come open the door we were by so we wouldn't have to walk so far.  That was so nice of her and so appreciated.  We saw Kimmy waving when we walked in.  She was up pretty close to the top.  The boys were sitting on the far end, so Max went with them.  Kimmy and I helped Melissa up the steps and she did really good.  Jared got there right after us.  Jacob did an amazing job.  All the band 8th grade and up sounded wonderful.  They are going to do these songs in a festival.  We headed home, and stopped at McDonalds when we got to Freeland.  It was a fun night and I'm so glad Melissa and Max could go with me and hear Jacob.

We spent time with the Lord, Went to breakfast and then met together in the conference room until 11.

Got up early and spent time with the Lord and went over my homework.  Went down to breakfast.  It's a Starbuck Restaurant in the hotel.  Bill and I had banana bread French toast with bananas on top. So nice that the church covered everything for us on this retreat. Pastor Ken and Joan were the only ones down having breakfast, so we sat with them.  Slowly and steadily other couples came and joined us.  We kept adding tables and chairs.  We loaded our stuff in our cars, checked out and then went to the conference room to discuss our homework, pray for our church, pray for people in our church as the Holy Spirit put them on our hearts.  We prayed over Debbie because she broke her wrist and arm when she fell on he ice.  Then we prayed over Pastor Ken and Joan.  We all hugged and left.  Bill and I went and visited Marie for a while.  After that, we went to visit Roy at the rehab.  He is still in pain, but was sitting in a wheelchair eating.  We had a nice visit with him too.  We went to Culver's afterward for a  burger, concrete mixer and we split fries.  Came home and unpacked.  Called all of my sweet daughters and talked to them.  I sure have missed them.  Bill and I took a nap and relaxed.

5/16/19...We had breakfast at the Hotel and then spent the whole day together, learning, praying, journaling as we were seeking God

Some of the cool chairs in the lobby

Old picture of Bill, me, Sue, Charlie, Gayla and Wes that Gayla sent me

We all had breakfast at the hotel together. After that we met in a conference room and Pastor Ken taught us in prayer.  We all practiced afterward as the Holy Spirit led us.  This was an amazing time for all of us, and is a life changing teaching on prayer.  It’s amazing how much God has changed me.  This would have totally been out of my comfort zone many years ago, but I loved doing it now! God is so good!  We ate pulled pork sandwiches and coleslaw for lunch.  Had delicious cookies for dessert.  Then Joan taught us on journaling what God shows us from scripture.  I used to do this, and was reading one of my old journals I brought with me. I need to get back at it. We had an hour break and then we met back in the room for. Brooklyn Boys Pizza. It was delicious!  We sat around talking after that and then we went to our rooms.  Our homework is to meditate on Psalm 121 and Write down what God puts on our heart.

2/15/19...Picked Peyton and Isaac up from school, Went on Elder's retreat

Brenda and Joan....we loved these chairs. I call them tiltawheel  chairs as they spin around and the sides come around you

Us relaxing in our beautiful room

The bathroom was amazing

All the goodies Pastor Ken and Joan had in a big Valentine's bag for us  So sweet of them!

Got ready and then packed for our Elders retreat.  I picked Peyton and Isaac up from school.  It was so cold and very windy.  We were freezing by the school door waiting for the kids to come out.  Peyton and Isaac were happy to see me.  We went to McDonalds and picked Happy Meals up for them.  Picked up some Thistle Seed for my birds, then went home so they could eat.  They had fun playing with dominos.  Vikki came and visited til she had to pick Hailey up from school.  Bill and left for the Courtyard by Marriott for the Elder’s retreat.  Such a beautiful hotel!  Pastor Ken showed up on my Dropbox when i was messaging pictures to the girls.  I thought I had done something wrong as I never expected his name to pop up. Then I realized he was just in a room next to us.
At 5:45 we went downstairs and saw Pastor Ken and Joan, so we walked across the street to the Seafood Co. Restaurant.  All the other elders and their wives got there shortly after. The food was delicious! Bill and I had perch.
We came back to the Lobby and relaxed and visited.  They sure have some cool chairs here.

Kenzie sent me this cute picture of her in her kitty sweatshirt and her kitty
Got a call from Vikki at 6:40 in the morning.  Peyton was sick throwing up, so Vikki needed me to pick up Melissa's kiddos and take them to school.  I got ready fast and picked them up and dropped them off at school.  Texted Jared to wish him a Happy Birthday.  He is such a great son in law! An amazing husband to Kimmy and such a wonderful dad to my grandsons.  We are so blessed to have him in our family.  I thank God for him lots.  Went shopping for Bill's Valentine's gift.  Got him a shelf for his closet for more shoe space.  He had one, but mentioned yesterday that he would like another.  Got him a heart shaped cake too.  He got home while I was upstairs doing my hair.  I came down and he told me he got me the yogurt on the cupboard for Valentine's Day and handed me a card.  The card was super sweet and it had a note that my gift was actually in the garage.  I went out and there were a dozen red roses and a box of Stoeffer's chocolates with nuts in them.  We both ate a couple of chocolates and they were delicious.  I got all ready for our date tonight, so all I had to do was change my clothes when I got home from taking Melissa to therapy at 3.  She had Katie and did really good again today.  Got home at 3:30 and quickly got ready so we could leave in 15 minutes for Horizons.
It was nice honoring the Veterans again.  The food was delicious, with a fabulous raspberry cake for dessert.  We had lots of fun with sister Debbie and Tom and all of our friends who came.  Lots of laughs in the photo booth.  Great way to celebrate Valentine's Day!

8.1 total inches of snow now. Went to doctor with Marie, Had ice cream with Bill and Sabrina

I planted my Amaryllis from Debbie yesterday
Lots of snow out there and lots of birds
Lots of wind too....the flag if whipping and the snow is blowing
Bill got up early and went to the SportsZone to play cards and walk.  I don't go as early, so didn't want to drive on the bad roads.  I put the dried strawberries in containers and did laundry.   I was going to walk my two miles in the basement, but Marie called and she and Doug were heading here to pick me up to go to the Dr. with her.  She is changing to Dr. Stevenson who is Melissa and Bruce's doctor.  I went in with her to help her remember what the dr. said.  Doug wheeled her back for me and then took the wheelchair and waited in the waiting room.  The doctor was so nice and caring.  We both liked him.  He also told her she was taking the same medicine, only different names for heartburn and that doing that could cause kidney failure.  He took her off one and added another that works in a different way and is safe to take with the one she is on now.
Bill had the driveway all cleaned off by the time Marie and Doug came.  He does a great job keeping up with this snow and ice.   In the evening, we took stuff and dropped it off at Bill and Sabrina's for the Faith Riders Meeting tomorrow night.  We are going to a Valentine's Dance so Bill is covering for my Bill at the meeting.  They met us at Tony's afterward and we had ice cream and a great visit with them.

2/12/19...5 1/2 inches of snow overnight, Took Melissa to therapy,

Max holding Jeffrey Peanut, Abby, and Jack

Hailey

Love this picture of Wyatt, so I borrowed it from Kimmy.  So Cute!

Cut up strawberries to dehydrate

Can't wait till they are done, Kiwi will be next
We got lots of snow overnight and it was still snowing when I got up.  Melissa didn't want to miss therapy, and I didn't want her to.  They called to see if she was coming and we talked it over and decided to try it.  They did move her appt. back from 8:30 to 9 a.m.  I was going to go to breakfast for a half hour, but the roads were awful and even the main roads (State, Center, Michigan, etc weren't plowed yet), so I changed my mind and called Bill to let him know I wasn't coming.   I couldn't see very well because my windshield wipers need to be replaced.  I reminded Bill I needed new ones.  I was trying hard to stay in the tracks of other cars.  Not many cars were out on the roads.  I made it to Melissa's and was happy to get there.  I parked in the garage so Melissa could get in easy without slipping.  I was happy to get to see Max and Jack.  Evan got up and I was happy to see him too.  They were the only ones up.  Jacob sent me a text to let me know they didn't have school. What a sweet grandson he is.  We left a half hour early and didn't see one plowed road even in town.  Bummer!  Melissa told me that there was a snow scraper that fell out of someone's car and got smashed by their van.  Found out it was mine!  What a day to be without a scraper.  I dropped Melissa off and parked.  Walked down the hill to therapy and it sure was windy and slippery.  I stayed with her while she had therapy and really enjoyed watching her.  She had Adam for the first time.  He usually works with just kids, but they had lots of cancellations and were short handed so he got Melissa.  He had just taken a class on what to do to help loosen tightness.  He really helped Melissa and had her standing nice and straight and walking much better.  He was so nice too!  She had therapy for 75 minutes today.  We talked to Shawali and let him know Thursday is Melissa's last day.  He wanted to know how she was doing at home and if she was just using the quad cane now.  He was very happy to find out she was.  While she finished walking down the hallway, I went out to start my car and let it run for a while since I didn't have a scraper.  I used my umbrella to get the snow off the windows where the wipers didn't get.  On our way home, we passed 4 snowplows going the opposite direction.  We were wishing we had one in front of us.  Finally when we got close to Center, the roads were plowed.  Her subdivision wasn't though.  I got to see Hailey when I dropped Melissa off.  I left right away, because I wanted to get home.  I decided to stop at Aldi's to get a couple of things I needed.  Their parking lot was terrible and not plowed yet either.  I was so happy to get home.  Melissa called and messaged me to check to make sure I was home safe.  What a sweetie.  I talked to Marie and Roy was doing good after his surgery.  He could move a little so that was good.  I cleaned out another cabinet and sorted through some papers.  We cancelled care group tonight.  I warmed up the chicken in the air fryer and it made it taste just like it did when first cooked.  Nice and crispy too.  YUM. Watched the news and game shows on TV.

2/11/19...Came home from Marie's, went to dentist, Went to breakfast and spent the day with Melissa

Using my nice Air Fryer that Vikki won and gave to me.  This is the first time I have used it.

The chicken had to cook for 25 minutes and was crispy on the outside and tender inside.  So delicious.  Can't wait to use it again.   Thank you Vikki!!!
Left at 6:30 in the morning.  Went out to clean the snow off my car, and saw that Jerry, who lives in their basement, hadn't left at 5:30 like he said he would last night.  He was parked behind me, so I had to go to the basement and ask him to move it because I had a dentist appt. and I needed to get home and get ready for it.  The roads were slippery and I didn't know how long it was going to take me to get home.  The roads were bad until I got to Saginaw.  I went to the dentist and then Melissa and I went to Riverside for breakfast.  Bill called me and I ordered his breakfast and he came to eat it while we sat with him.  He had to got to Bay City to see if they were going to do surgery on Roy.  They had 20 people scheduled ahead of him and he was a standby.  Melissa came over and we looked at old pictures and then we took naps.  Bruce picked her up.  Bill called and said he was heading home.  I made chicken in the air fryer and scalloped potatoes.  It turned out really yummy.  Vikki stopped to borrow the truck and was just in time to eat the first air fryer meal.  Bill and I watched a Hallmark movie.  Roy called at 9:37 and was going to be having surgery in an hour to an hour and a half.  Bill headed up to the hospital to be there for him as Marie can't go because of her back problems.

2/10/19..Went to Bethlehem to hear Hailey and Ally sing for worship. Went to our church, Went to Marie's.

Amy texted me and told me I didn't need to come to Marie's until noon.  I got to go hear Hailey and Ally help lead worship at Bethlehem.  They did great.  The sermon was really good too!  I left and got to our church two minutes late.  It was hard to find a parking spot.  The church was packed.  Isaac came and sat by Bill and I until he went to Sunday School.  Our worship was amazing and it was a great message too.  I left a few minutes early so I could get gas and pick up something to eat and make it to Marie's on time.  When I got there Amy had a ham going in the Smart Pot. She made chicken and I made bean soup with the ham.  We froze some stew and some bean soup so Marie and Roy would have meal size portions in the freezer.  We also did some laundry for them.  Amy left and I helped Marie with what she needed and also organized her freezer in the basement and wrote down what she had in it for her.  We ate chicken and noodles and then had bean soup later.  Didn't sleep real good because I slept in the bed next to Marie's hospital bed.  She kept the big light on and the TV so I didn't sleep real well.

2/9/19..Went shopping, Went to Jack's game, Went to Isaac's game, Went to Marine Corp. Banquet in Flint

The pictures went on and posted the last pictures of the banquet first and this mornings pictures last. Didn't want to let me change them so just keeping them like this.
Bill and I

Bill looks so nice in his Marine Corp. Outfit
Sawyer shaking Bill's hand after she gave him a hero rock she painted
Sawyer was the speaker for the evening and did an amazing job for a 9 year old

Bill presenting Sawyer with a $200 check from the Saginaw Detachment
Group picture of the Marine Corp. League of Michigan
A very nice 91year old man having his picture taken with Sawyer.  He was in the Marines when he was 19.  He fought for our country, yet where he was stationed, they wouldn't let him eat in the restaurant with the white soldiers.  So sad and hard to comprehend.  He was such a kind gentleman to talk to and didn't seem bitter about it at all.
Bill and I with Sawyer

Jack #1 Playing Basketball with his team, the Chargers

Hailey and Ally
Isaac playing basketball #7

Got up with Bill and made him breakfast and coffee before he left for the Marine Corp. Rally in Flint.  I went shopping and then went to Jack's basketball game.  Melissa, Bruce, Evan and Hailey were there.  They won their game.  Evan was cute.  I gave him a dollar and he went to buy something and came back with two blueberry muffins for me instead.  It was so sweet of him and he was so excited about getting them for me.  Melissa and I each ate one.  I gave him another dollar to spend on himself and he got popcorn.  It was on sale now, so he got two gatorades and gave one to Luke and one to Daniel.  He sure is a giver!  I came home and ate and then went to Isaac's game.  He is really catching on to the game now, and did really good.  Love watching the grandkids play sports.  Bill came home to relax.  I was happy because I was going to drive down to Birch Run to meet him so he wouldn't have to drive all the way home.  Vikki was sweet and offered and was going to drive me there in her car so Bill and I could ride home together.  Now it worked out nice because I can just ride with him to the Banquet.  It's a formal banquet, so we have to dress up.  Bill came home and had a chance to relax before we left for Flint.  Right before we left, we found out Roy fell and broke his hip joint.  He will be having surgery on Monday, and should be home on Wednesday.  So thankful Amy and Dennis Ward were there when it happened so Amy could stay with Marie and Dennis could go with Roy.
Marie has been sick since last June and Roy has been so good and kind taking care of her.  I am going to spend the day and night with Marie tomorrow.  The banquet was very nice.  Little Sawyer was so sweet and so very kind to all the veterans.  She has done much during her little life ministering to veterans and showing how thankful she is for them.  She has spoke to congress, to Homeland Security, and has received the Presidential award 4 times.  She walked 12 miles for Suicide Awareness for Veterans and did 22 pushups for 22 days.  It was amazing listening to all that she has done for our veterans. Her brother is a Marine and that is what started her doing this.
