7/27/17...Picked up Hailey and took her to Taco Bell to spend time with her. Went to Ollies and then came back to my house and hung out. Froze some beets and zucchini. Met Beemers at Olive Garden for dinner

Bill enjoying our new furniture this morning
Love my "Hailey Girl" and loved spending the day with her.

Livie, Jack and Connor.  Melissa got these pop beads out for Livie and the boys ended up having lots of fun with them.  Jack and Connor connected their beads for this picture

Livie, Evan and Max....Livie wanted in all my pictures and then wanted to see them

Sure am missing my Kimmy, Jared and the boys!  Can't wait till I get a call.  Yesterday my phone rang when the girl buying our furniture was here and I saw the number and thought it was Kimmy.  I answered right away excitedly.  Well it was just a telemarketer.  The was the same as Kimmy's but was 6229 instead of 7229....Boo Hoo.  Today after Bill read his Bible, I took a picture of him very relaxed in the new furniture.  I went to the bank, then to Vikki's to take Peyton's hair stuff to her and then I picked Hailey up.  We went to Taco Bell for lunch and had a good visit.  She is such a sweetie and I am so proud of her.  She is beautiful inside and out.  We went to Ollies's and then came to my house to hang out.  We watched the movie Soul Surfer.  I had to do beets and zucchini so a lot of the time I just listened.  Was able to go in and sit down for the ending though.  We were going to do the Wi Dance, but I couldn't get it working.  That would have been some good exercise.
We dropped her off and headed to the Olive Garden to meet Vicki and Kevin Beemer.  They had Iain with them too.  We had a really nice visit with them.

7/26/17...Made hamburger/cabbage buns for camping, Got our new furniture, Rody, Bruce and Vikki came to help. So thankful for family!

New love seat my love and I will sit on

Bill

Isaac and Peyton

Bill got a call and a girl came to look at our furniture we are selling.
She was the first one to call and loved it when she saw it so bought it.  She came and then had to wait for a half hour before her dad met her here.  We sat and talked and she was very nice.  I asked her if she believed in Jesus and she said yes.  We shared about all the miracles God has done in our family and she shared about her nephew who is 10 yrs. old and has seizures.  His head was too big when he was born so he didn't get enough oxygen at first.  Has leg issues too.  I told her we will be praying for him so please join us.  His name is Desmond.  Her dad and another guy got here and moved the furniture.  She gave me a hug when she left.  Happy to have the old furniture out before the new came.  Made cabbage buns with ground beef, onions, cabbage stuffed in dough and baked. Making them to freeze for camping.  It's our camping tradition with Melissa.
Bill went to pick up our furniture at Art Van's at 3.  Rody, Vikki and the kids came and then Bruce stopped on his way home.  Bruce and Rody helped Bill so much.  It wouldn't have been good for his knees to do without them.  Our family sure is a blessing to us.  Vikki helped with easy movers and the light.  Peyton and Isaac were sure excited about the furniture.  It is electric so goes up and down really easy.  They were cute to watch when they tried it out.  Rody and Vikki helped me with our fire stick so I know what I am doing.  Bill and I watched a movie after they left, called The Book Thief.  We sure like sitting in our love seat.  It is so comfy and nice sitting together, even holding hands.  So much nicer for Bill to get up out of with his knees.  Sits higher and love the automated recliners.

77/25/17 Went to breakfast, stopped at Melissa's, made zucchini bread, started packing for BayShore

Bill put our furniture on Craig's list tonight.  Always loved this furniture but with his knees he wants something higher so it's easier for him to get out of
Chair and Ottoman
Got to see these sweeties this morning....Jack, Hailey, Evan, Abby and Max

We went to breakfast.  There were eight of us there.  Bill and I had oatmeal.  I went to Melissa's afterward and Bill went to a Veteran's breakfast at I Hop.  It was nice seeing the kiddos and Melissa.  The kids got some really nice backpacks at the library for their reading program.  Hailey's even came with earphones.  The bag has a place to put the cord through. I got there right as Livia and Connor were leaving.  Went to the post office and Menard's after that.  When I got home, I made zuccini bread from the zucchini that Gayla gave me.  First time I have made it.  It turned out really good.  I made the recipe of a friend of mine who was 93 and made it for Hospice to give away.  This was a good memory of her!  She passed away last year.  Started cleaning a few rooms so the house will be clean when I get home. Bill put our furniture on Craig's list tonight.

7/24/17....Went to the rail trail by the township hall and walked 2 1/4 miles. Walked with Bill through 5th wheels at Hamiltons. Napped in my hammock for 45 minutes. Filled up Gas tanks and got our $1.00 off of 35 gallons at Kroger.

My hibiscus in the morning with 4 new buds

My hibiscus in the afternoon in full bloom.  I counted 15 new buds on it now too.  Love this plant

What do you think of this bunk house we looked at....this is one half of the room.  Couch that makes into a bed, queen size bed above.
This is the other side of the room...Bed above and one folded on the bottom that comes down.
It has a small bathroom on the left with a sink, toilet and exit door.   They sure make some nice campers.

It was nice and cool this morning.  I went to the rail trail to walk.  There were several other walkers out there at 8 a.am.  They were all really friendly.  It was very nice walking with the wind at my back but I burnt extra calories walking against the wind for a mile of my walk.  I saw a toy poodle that was absolutely adorable.  Just had a puppy cut and was nice and fluffy.
Came home and Bill and I decided to go to Hamilton's to get a new antenna part.  We decided to walk through the fifth wheels they had while we were there.  We had fun and got lots more steps.  Afterwards, we walked through Art Vans.  We went to Harvey's for lunch and used our gift card from His Restoration they blessed us with.  I came home and hung my hammock and ended up falling asleep for 45 minutes.  I set my phone alarm so I wouldn't sleep too long. We watched the  news and then went and filled up our gas tanks on the truck and car and some gas cans.  We got a dollar off per gallon of 35 gallons!  Great savings!  Kroger had quadruple gift card gas points so we got what we knew we would use.  So glad they do this.  We played 3-13 and Bill beat me again but not as bad as last night.  He beat me at Words with Friends too.  He had 401 and I had 399 points.  Close game!

7/23/17...Went to church and then went to the Warrior Appreciation Rally for Veterans in Frankenmuth,

Miss Joan gave all my kids sunglasses today!  They love Miss Joan! Isaac is third from the left, and Peyton and Evan are fourth and fifth from the right!  Love having grandkids in my class
We walked along here and Bill enjoyed talking to the veterans at all the tables

Two of my favorite Veterans...Bill and Doug.  Doug was a gunner who was hit by a suicide bomber in Iraq.  He is a miracle and now share's his testimony of what God has done and is doing in his life.  Two amazing men of God!  So proud of both of them

Bill and Debbie.  Debbie, Tom and Sharon were volunteers who cooked hot dogs.

Vikki in her hammock at the park

She is pointing at me in my hammock.  Silly girl!

I took a picture of Vikki in her hammock.
We went to church.  It was an exciting day because we got to see the video made of the Summer of Service and VBS last week.  What amazing youth, kids and adult helpers we had.  After that they excused the kids.  I taught Sunday School today.  I had twelve kids.  They were excited to get sunglasses from Miss Joan at the end of my class.  After church we had cake to celebrate the great week of service to the community and VBS.  Lots of new visitors at church today which was great.  After church, Bill and I went to Frankenmuth for the Warrior Appreciation Rally.  Doug was asked to do the prayer and we saw him and his family out there and talked with them a lot.  Charlotte, The little girl in my class in the pink skirt in the picture, was happy because I told her i was going to be there.  She had told her parents I was coming, so loved it when she saw me.  She is such a sweetie!
They had free hotdogs, cheese, popcorn, cotton candy, tea, orange drink and lemonade and water for everyone.  We enjoyed walking around talking to veterans.  It was nice seeing Debbie and Tom while they made our hotdogs.  Very good thing to volunteer for.
When we got home, Bill took a nap, so Vikki and I went to Meijer's to see if they still had hammocks on sale for the kids birthday.  They didn't so will have to watch for a sale again.  We went and got a concrete mixer at Culver's and then went to Walmart so I could get sunglasses and Vikki could look at backpacks for Peyton if they were on sale.  After we left there, I took her back to her car at Meijer's and we went to the park find a place for our hammocks.  We saw a perfect circle of trees, but it looked like poison ivy was growing around a couple of the trees.  Not sure, but leaves of three we let it be!!!  We walked to check some trees farther back but didn't find any where we wanted.  Wanted to be in the sunny area so we wouldn't have mosquitos.  Walked back and walked up the big hill and then saw a couple of trees we like. Put our hammocks up and relaxed and had fun!  Came home and played 3-13 with Bill and he beat me bad.

7/22/17...Spent the day at Rock the Island....Newsboys were there and Love and the Outcome....two of my favorite Christian Groups

The Drummer (Duncan) with Kenzie

Got ready and packed the stuff for our booth at Rock the Island.  It was raining when we got there.  Barb gave me a poncho to wear so I could keep sort of dry.  We set up and sat under the booth and also in the truck for a while until it stopped raining around noon.  Kenzie and I walked around and took pictures on the dock.  Vikki went to our house for me to make sure Mocha was in her cage and also to get my raincoat and flip flops.  She also got Kenzie's hula hoop.  She was coming later and was going to bring them too me.  I was so happy she did that for me.  Then Bill wanted me to run home to get more CMA brochures for our table.  I talked to Vikki and she insisted that she would go back and get them and also bring Bill's raincoat and crocs.  What a sweetie she is.  She got them and then came to the Island early to drop them off.  Bill and I met her and got them from her and she left.  Bill and I walked around with Kenzie then.  Bill and I got hotdogs and Kenzie only wanted a lemonade.  We went back and Kenzie hula hooped for us.  She is really good at it.
Walked around more and went to see Chrystal and her boyfriend at the Bethlehem booth.  It was nice and stayed pretty cool because it was cloudy after the rain.  Vikki, Rody and Isaac got there around 2.  Peyton stayed with Grammy because of her fractured foot.  We sure missed her.  We sat our chairs up so we would have good seats for the concerts and then walked around more.  Melissa, Bruce and the kids (they brought Ginny's four kids too) came and sat behind us.  The kids were all so well behave.  Melissa and Bruce walked around and I watched the kids for a little while.  I passed out snacks to them and they were so happy and polite.  Hailey and Ally got to meet the Newsboys and have their picture taken with them.  They were so excited.  Bruce got his picture with them too.  They signed their shirts too.  I was so happy for them.  They are such nice girls.  Love and the Outcome sang great songs and I loved listening to them and worshipping.  The Newsboys were the last group and were amazing as usual.  I loved all of their songs and everyone was worshipping the Lord.  I videoed some to show Jacob, Adam and Eli when they get back from Copper Harbor.  We went to get our camper's (Wes and us) and we were blocked in by cars  and campers in front of us.  Wes had yummy nectarines left in his camper and water bottles.  We only had a big box with plates and tossed food in ours.  The wife (Love and the Outcome) is 9 months pregnant...so they didn't have leftover food ha ha!  Got the camper ready so the slide outs could come in.  I looked out and saw one of the Newsboys talking to some people, so I told Kenzie to have Papa take her picture with him.  He left before they could get to him.  Then we were trying to have someone find out whose cars were blocking our way and we saw the drummer out.  I told Kenzie to come and we would get her picture with him.  We were too late; he went in their big bus. I did pray he would come back out so I could get Kenzie's picture with him before we left.
We finally got someone to move a car so the guys could get our trucks in and hook them up to the campers.  Wes had to back his camper up first and had to back in a big circle and miss campers.  Bill was on one side and I was on the other directing Wes, and Kenzie was sitting in our truck waiting.  I saw the Newsboy's drummer come out so hurried to the truck to get Kenzie.  She ran up to him and asked if she could get a picture with him.  He was very nice and asked her her name and shook her hand and said you're the hula girl aren't you.  Then he held his had out for me to shake and said and you are...and I filled in her grandma.  I took a couple of pictures and then he said he had to check them out and grabbled my camera to look at them.  He was very nice!  Kenzie was so happy and so was I.  Thanked the Lord too!
