Wed., 1/31/24, Got up early and live streamed The National Gathering of Prayer and Repentance 2024, Finished Vikki’s Bag holder, Vikki stopped over, went to dinner with Anna and Randy

What a happy handsome baby boy!
I’m so thankful for men who are Believers in and followers of Jesus and are serving in our Government.  The National Gathering for Prayer and Repentance for our nation was so moving.  I was in tears lots as the Word was read, prayers made, personal repentance for sin and repentance for our nation.  Praise God they know the Word of God and are bold to stand up for it.  Such a blessing to be part of this!
I'm so thankful for a Godly Speaker of the house who stands boldly for the Lord!  What a blessing from the Lord!
I finished Vikki’s bag holder.  I put one of Kimmy’s cute buttons she made me on it.  Vikki was excited to get it so she came over right away.  I’m so happy she liked it.

Kids and youth at church making snacks and baked goods for the Saginaw Township Fire Dept.  Love how the kids are learning to serve and having fun doing it.  Peyton and Isaac are in the pictures.

Before I went to bed last night, I noticed on The Christian Broadcasting Network News there was going to be a Prayer and Repentance Gathering for our nation.  I let Kimmy  know about it and also my friend Vikki.  I set my alarm for 6:45 a.m., so I could see if I could live stream it in the morning.  I got up and was able to get it on my computer pretty fast.  It was so moving be part of this.  I kept watching the whole 5 hours.
Then I got ready and we went to the Texas Roadhouse and met Anna and Randy for dinner.
We had such a nice visit and the food was delicious as always.  They are such nice people.
We came home and I worked on the blog.  Bill read his Bible.  I still need to do my Bible reading.

Tues., 1/30/24, 2 inches of snow when we got up, Bill took the garbage out, then snowblower the driveway and walkways, Charlie and Sue picked us to to got with them to U of M hospital, went to Cracker Barrel l

Picture of my sweet baby, Vikki sent me. He’s spending the night at his Grammy's
We got a couple of inches of snow last night, so Bill shoveled the deck, walkways and snowblower the driveway.
This is what it looked like on the other side of the house
Charlie drove on the way there.  It was a messy drive with lots of splashing from cars and trucks we passed or that passed us
Bill driving on the way home.  It was misting some and we still got splashed lots.
They got more snow than us in Ann Arbor.  That’s ok!  They can have it!

We got ready early in case Charlie wanted to leave earlier for his appt. because of the snow.  Bill got busy clearing the driveway and sidewalks and then took the garbage out.  We read our Bibles, then Sue called to see if we could leave at 11 instead of 11:30.  I told her we got ready early just in case they wanted to leave early.  Charlie drove on the way down to U of M Hospital.  He stopped at Tim Horton’s for coffee for them and a smoothie for me.
We got almost to the Expressway entrance and the tire pressure light came on.  Then Charlie and Bill thought they should drive over to Discount Tire and have it checked out.  The guy checked it and didn’t see anything wrong, so put air in it and we headed on our way.  Never had any more problems with it so we were thankful for that.  We got to the hospital, parked, went in and got to the waiting room, and about 10 minutes later they called Charlie in.  He had a good appointment and the doctor said he was an example because it’s been 3 1/2 years since his esophageal cancer surgery.

We left, and Bill drove home.  It was still messy out.  Got up to 36 degrees, so at least we didn’t have to worry about icy roads.  We stopped in Bridgeport at the Cracker Barrel and had some great food.  Our waiter didn’t write any of our orders down and he remembered everything correctly.  He did the same thing for the tables around us.  He was amazing.  Charlie gave him $20 because he was so impressed with him.  We all were.  He was pretty young and graduated from Heritage.  We all enjoyed our food.  Everything was delicious.  We all took leftovers home.  We looked around in the gift shop.  They have some beautiful things there.  We left without buying anything.  Charlie drove the rest of the way home.  Thy dropped us off, then went home.  They are such great friends who are like family.   I checked on them to make sure they were in the house safely.

Worked on crocheting the bag holder for Vikki.

Monday, 1/29/24, Bill went to his dr. appt. at 10:30, went to Walmart, went to Tony’s with Vikki, went to thrift stores, went to Aldi, came home and watched online church service from yesterday

1964 Frankenmuth Bavarian Parade.  Bill’s mom we think in the middle of ladies walking.  She looks exactly like Vikki and Kenzie.  Bill’s dad watching by the blue car
Bill’s family’s house in the background with his sisters, brothers and relatives on the porch.
I was so happy to see what this house looked like.  He always talks about it when we go to Frankenmuth.  Our friends from church have a house where the back yard of this house is.

Bill got ready and went to his doctor appt.  I did took care of feeding cats (the gray and white cat is back now) and unloaded the dishwasher.  Then I played good worshipful music while I ate my breakfast and drank my coffee.   I read my Bible.  Bill came home.  He said they saw something on the MRI and want to do a biopsy of the prostrate now.  We sure are praying and trusting God.  Prayers are appreciated.  Got our family praying.  I left to go pick up some things at Walmart and then met Vikki at Tony’s and we had breakfast.  It was delicious and time with Vikki is always treasured.  We went to a couple of thrift stores after that, then she had to go pick up the kids.  I went to Aldi to get some groceries.  I got home and we watched our church’s online service.  Then I worked on my crocheting.

I texted Eli to see how he and Jack were doing.  They were sleeping when we left.  He said good and told me they made scrambled eggs for breakfast.  He sent me this picture too.  I love those boys.  They sure can take care of themselves.
I’m almost done with the bag holder I am crocheting for Vikki. At least it doesn’t look like a hat anymore
This came up in my memories.  It’s a dishcloth Vikki knitted for me.  I haven’t used it because it’s such a beautiful keepsake and treasure!
Carol ready to watch the Lions Game
Bill ready to watch the game with Carol and I

Carol and I cheering the Lions on

We got ready and went to the Well Church for a visit with Faith Riders to share with them about CMA and Run for the Son.  The boys were still sleeping when we left.  I put a pizza in the refrigerator for them to make for lunch.  The church service was wonderful with amazing worship.  We knew so many people there that we attended church with when we first got born again.   Bill and Sarah were both on the worship team.  They went to school with our girls.  It was nice to see Bill’s wife Gretchen too.  We also saw Sally and Dave, and the couple that used to own Ryders.  It was a highlight to have Stacie, DJ and Kody sit right in front of us too.  It was nice seeing so many from Faith Riders too, and having Joel there.  After we talked to people for a while, we gave Stacie her birthday present and then gave her a ride home.  I told DJ we would bring her home because she wanted to open her gift in front of us.  We didn’t have far to go because you can see her driveway from the church.  I texted Eli to see how they were doing.  Guess I don’t need to worry about those boys.  They are pretty capable.  As you can see from the above picture a comment they can fend for themselves.  They were going to watch church online, but didn’t get up til 11:30.   We figured they wouldn’t want to eat at Panda House.  We met Faith Riders at Panda House for lunch, then I took Bill to a Gun Show in Bay City where he met Bruce and Max.  Bruce said he would bring him home when it was over.  I came home to the boys.
I got home and Eli said they forgot to make the pizza.  They had it out and were just getting ready to bake it.  I took over and made it for them.   They played more ping pong until it was ready.  Bruce bought Bill home and asked when Kimmy was picking Eli up.  He was trying to decide whether to take Jack or leave him to hang out with Eli longer.  I called Kimmy and she said she texted Eli that Jared was on his way to get him.  Jared got here a few minutes later.  Everyone talked together for a few minutes, then everyone left.  Bill and I read our Bibles then took a little hour nap before going to Carol’s.  We watched the rest of the Kansas City game and texted with Tina, Matthew and Fred.  Carol had made ground bologna for sandwiches, sloppy joes, deviled eggs and a chocolate sheet cake for us to eat.  It was all delicious.  The lions were way ahead in the first quarter, then things took a turn and San Francisco ended up winning the game with the score 34-31 in the end.  We are still so proud of the Lions.  It was sure fun watching the game with Carol.  She’s such a sweet sister.  We came home and I talked to Vikki for a long time.

Sat. 1/27/24, Bill went to coffee with Charlie, Bill and Max hung out together in the morning, Kimmy and Jared dropped Eli off to spend the night with Jack, Bill brought Jack home with him,

Peyton took this picture today.  Her Valentine blanket Rody won for her at Bingo at Debbies is in the background
This is the only picture Vikki took.  I didn’t take any today of him or Peyton or Kenzie
A nice picture Vikki sent me taken today.

Charlie picked Bill up to go for coffee. I sent some chicken noodle casserole with him to give to Charlie and Sue and also Avocado single packs for Sue.   I called Sue and talked to her for quite a while.  We had a nice chat.

I read my Bible.  Today I read about David killing Goliath with a slingshot and a stone.  He was able to do that because he did it in the Name of the Lord and the Lord gave him into his hand.  Awesome to read about the great faith of the men of God in the Bible.  Not so exciting to read about those who did their own thing and were prideful and wouldn’t obey the Lord.  All had sin though and needed a Savior, just like we do.  Love reading about God’s mercy and grace.

I got a text from Eli asking if he and Jack could spend the night.  I called Kimmy to let her know we are doing the church visit and then going to dinner afterwards, because Eli wanted to go to our church.  They are going to watch church online tomorrow, and hang out and play ping pong, etc.

I went shopping for Stacie’s birthday gift.  I am a little late because we have had so much going on, but it didn’t take me long to find something.  We are going to her church tomorrow for a church visit with Faith Riders.  So happy to be visiting there.  We are taking her gift with us to give to her.  I picked up some plastic shelf liner like I have in the bathroom drawers and cupboards for the camper.  It was only $3.50 on sale for a big roll.

I came home, and within a few minutes, Bill told me Kenzie locked her keys in the car and wanted to know if I had her extra set.  I remembered having them so got them and then face timed her to make sure they were the right ones.  They were!!!  I headed right down to Birth Run to give them to her.  Vikki was with her and had her car there also, so they continued to shop.  When I got there, I gave her the keys to unlock her car, then I took them back to put in a safe place at my house again.  We went to an antique store that was really nice, then went to two baby stores.  It was fun hanging out and I was so happy to see Peyton and Rehvyn.  They were both so sweet as usual.  Melissa called me and wanted to know if she could come to visit for a little while.  I told her what happened with Kenzie’s keys and that I was in Birch run, so we would have to do it another time.  We hung up and I got to carry Rehvyn in the antique store for a little while.

I left and headed for home.  The traffic in Birch Run was awful.  Then even though we had a green turn light, the other side of the road’s traffic blocked each intersection so we couldn’t turn at all.  I finally went around and went down Dixie Highway and got on at the Bridgeport exit.  Bill called and said Eli and Jack wanted burgers from McDonalds instead of my chicken casserole.  I stopped and picked them each up two burgers and an order of fries.  I came home and they were really happy when they saw I got them 2 burgers.  Then Jack only noticed one fry and asked me if they had to share.  Eli already had his in his hand so Jack was happy to have his own fry too. He was so thankful and so was Eli.  They are great boys.   I warmed up some chicken casserole for me.  Bill already ate some.  I wrapped Stacie’s gift after I finished eating.

The boys spent a lot of time outside with the light sabres.  It was 40 degrees.  I took a couple of pictures.  I will wait to take more when they are in the house.  I talked to Melissa and heard all about their fun time staying in Frankenmuth.  I love that Bruce’s work does that.  Melissa and Bruce even went down the waterslides.  Such a fun family.

I’m going to crochet now.

Melissa sent me these fun pictures from their stay at Bavarian Inn Lodge in Frankenmuth.  Jack and Evan look like they are having a blast! So happy for them.

They had to be so happy when there was a ping pong table there.  They love playing it and are very good at it now.

I got up at 7 and put chicken breasts in the crockpot so they would be done by lunchtime.  Then I went back to bed for an hour.  I fell right back asleep.  Kimmy was running lat this morning, so I picked up mochas and donuts and took them to Melissa’s.  Max,. Melissa and I enjoyed our donuts and then I left so I would be home when Kimmy came.  I beat her by 5 minutes.  We sat in the family room and visited.  Kenzie called to let us know she was coming after she went to a couple of stores.  Kenzie came and brought our sweet baby.  He was good the whole time he was here.  He’s happy with any of us holding him and he’s happy to be laying on the floor with toys and he’s happy to be watching Baby Einstein.  He sure is focused on it when it’s on.  He is so smart and way ahead of his age. We all just love him so much.  Bill went to get wood pellets for the kernel burner.  Kenzie went outside to look for a bird feather and came in  with branches and a birch stick instead.  She made things for Kimmy and I.  She’s so talented!  When she saw Bill come back, she went out and helped him unload the pellets, which was so nice of her.  Kimmy went out and helped too.  I was fixing chicken noodle casserole for lunch.  Bill came in and picked him up off the baby matt and held him for a while when he was done.  Vikki came when she was done working.  Of course she grabbed her grand baby right away. She sure is a good grandma.  Kenzie made brownies for Peyton and Isaac to take to church to give away tonight.  The kids are making two more batches at their house after school.  Vikki left to get them. Bill called and told me to come meet him and Max at Culver’s for dinner.  I helped Kenzie get things packed up because she wanted to leave at the same time.  I was a few minutes late getting to Culver’s, but Bill called me ahead of time and ordered for me.  We had so much fun with Max.  What a great kid.  I took him home while Bill went home and got the Zoom meeting set up.  He gave the dogs treats, then waited til 6 and fed them all.  I had to put a treat in Abby’s food to get her to eat.  She sure ate it all then.  Max let Vader and Badger outside.  I let Abby out when she was done.  After all the dogs were back inside, I told Max goodbye then headed for home.  Kimmy called and they were going to stop quick so the boys could get some animal crackers to snack on after going to the fish store.  They were in a hurry because they had fish, so I called Bill and had him get them out and some baggies out.  I texted Eli and told him I could see two good looking guys on my Ring video.  Eli texted me lol and told me thanks for the animal crackers and pops and that Liam really liked them.  I have such wonderful grandsons.  Bill and I had a good zoom meeting with our Area Reps to discuss the upcoming Seasons of Refreshing in February.  After that. we watched a movie called Alter Ego’s.  I was a comedy about a Pastor who wanted to bring some changes to his church.  I sure laughed.
