Barn dance fun!

We went to class in the morning. They were both great. The adult swim got canceled because of weather.  We only got a few drops here, but two tornadoes touched down in Tuscola County. The kids swam in the afternoon.
We went with Wes and Gayla to Faith Quesr, which was donated to BayShore. It used to be Noah’s Arc.  The evening service was great.  Austin from our church was on the worship team. Awesome worship, message of Truth and testimonies.  We had ice cream afterwards, then we went and watched the kids at the barn dance.

Sunday , 7/31/22, Happy Birthday to my Sister Brenda!!! BayShore fun, went to see BayShore’s Faith Quest, Great worship and message again tonight, barn dance for kids

I wished my sister, Brenda Happy Birthday.  We went to the church service in the morning.  In the afternoon, the BayShore bus took whoever wanted to go, to the State Park to swim at the beach like we used to every year before they put the pool in.  Bruce drove Jack, Evan, Eli and Caleb there, as they didn't want to ride the bus.  They even had hot dogs for everyone after swimming.
Hailey and Adam didn't want to go.  We were all hoping they would open the pool and we could swim when it wasn't so crowed, but they didn't.  Wes, Gayla, Bill and I enjoyed a game of putt putt.  I was cloudy and cooler when we started which was nice, but the sun came out about half way through.  In the evening, we went to the evening service and Vikki and I were very happy to see Matt Hook there.  He is one of our favorites.

Adam and Vikki were a huge help!  We camped on the end by the putt putt.  Wes and Gayla got here shortly after we did, and parked next to us,  Hailey brought Jack up and hung out with us.  Jack and Eli had fun hanging out together.  Bruce got her in the late afternoon and parked next to Wes and Gayla.  Then Mia and her family got here and parked next to Bruce.  So cool for all of us to be in a row, unplanned.  Bill grilled hot dogs and we all ate together in the clam.  Then we went to the tabernacle for worship and the service.  Vikki and I were happy to see Matt Hook, one of our favorite pastors was here.  The kids went to their classes except  Impact kids.

Friday, 7/29/22, Kimmy, Jacob and Jared stopped to visit outside for a few minutes, Went grocery shopping, Put chemicals in the pool, Took some ice to Melissa's and then a plant I forgot, Worked all day on getting ready for our vacation.

I should have taken a nice picture of my half of cinnamon roll with my coffee in my Kimmy/Jared mug, but I was so excited about eating it, I forgot.  I did share half with Bill.  He ate his whole half, but even a half is so big, it is filling.  I will have this left over part tomorrow with more coffee for my breakfast.  Thank you Kimmy, Jared and family.  You sure know how to make me happy.  I love you all!

Hailey and Melissa when I dropped the plant off I need her to water for me.
Evan showing me Zoey.  She's a star now

Jack got some ice out of the big bag of ice I took there.  He was enjoying it.

Max and Vader.  Max sure loves his new dog.  I do too!
Vikki came over to load their stuff in the camper.  She brought Lenny.  Kit Kat isn't going to let any dog get her lol.  She actually likes Lenny.  I love Lenny!

It was a busy day packing the camper, picking the garden, doing laundry, getting the pool shocked and ready, watering the garden and all my plants in the evening.  It was nice having Kimmy, Jared and Jacob stop on their way to Flint to pick up some pottery needs and also a keyboard for Jacob's computer.  They brought me a  big cinnamon roll from the Hilltop in L'ance.  My favorite place to get cinnamon rolls.  That was so sweet of them.  They also stuck a gift card in the bag for Meijer, which I tried to give them back, but they are pretty stubborn about that.  I will think of a good way to bless them back.  They are always helping us and doing big jobs for us and driving here lots.  I am so thankful to have them back home, and very excited to have Adam and Eli going to BayShore with us for the week.  Yay!  They camped in Copper Harbor early so this year it works out.  Jacob has to go to band camp for the week.  He is a leader in it so has responsibilities too.  Having kids come over on Sat. and decorating shirts he picked up.

I went to Melissa's twice because I forgot to take the plant that's in little buckets over to her the first time.  It worked out though, because I bought a watermelon at Aldi today and when I went to cut it up, it was not ripe and was white inside.  I stopped when I took the plant and they let me pick a new one.  They are always nice there.  I loved visiting and getting to see and meet Max's new service dog.  She a beautiful and smart dog.  They are a great match.

Vikki came over and brought their stuff to put in the camper.  Lenny came too.  Kit Kat wasn't too sure about him.  Yesterday he was here on a leash and she rolled over and laid on her back by him.  She was a little more nervous today when he was loose.  I talked to her why she unloaded her stuff and brought it to me so I could set it in the camper.  It's nice when you don't have to go up the steps lots of times.

I finally sat down to read my Bible and work on my blog.  I got 16,000 steps today.

Thurs., 7/28/22, Talked to Kimmy in the morning...yay! Bill and I dropped our absentee ballots off, then went to Walmart and the Pool placeVikki, Peyton, and Isaac came over, then Melissa, Jack and Evan came over,

My view from in the pool when I was swimming this morning.  There were 2 beautiful orioles, but I only got a picture of one

Ha ha Vikki took a picture of me too without me knowing.  We are funny!

Vikki and I worked at recovering the benches in the camper.  We were new at this, but they turned out good.

It sure looks good.  I should have taken a before picture

Evan

I got up early and picked the garden before it rained.  I picked cucumbers and beets.  I finished just before the rain started.  It didn't rain long, then the sun came out.  Bill and I went to Walmart to get material and velcro to recover the benches in the camper.  We went to the pool place after because one of our hoses sprung a leak and he needed to replace it.  We got home and he needed me to stop the water from flowing out of the pool, so I got in and held something over it to stop it.  It didn't take him long to change it.  The water felt so good, that I stayed in and swam.  I talked to Kimmy for a while while I was in.  I watched the orioles which I sure enjoyed.  Vikki called and when I told her I was in the pool she decided they would come swimming.  I swam 735 yards before they got here.  Then we just relaxed on our floating hammocks while they were here.

We ate meatloaf sandwiches for lunch.  Melissa came over with Jack and Evan.  They didn't eat with us because they were full from Burger King.  It is so nice that Melissa is driving again and doing so well.  We had a fun time hanging out with her.  While she was here, Vikki and I started covering the benches in the camper.  We are leaving Sat. for BayShore, so have to have it done before then, plus still need to pack our stuff in the camper.  We sure were happy with how it turned out.  Great to have that job done!

Vikki went to take Lenny and Lucy to the dog park and meet Misty there.  I took beets and cucumbers to Lisa from church, and then went to Melissa's to take the Nesquick I picked up for them at Sam's Club to them.  They were out of it at all the stores they tried, so were happy to be able to get it.  Max takes his medicine with it.  I got to see Hailey and Evan while I was there.

Bruce and Melissa got a good report about their roof today.  No mold!  Yay!  It was some mildew, but Bruce shut the vents off in the bathroom and turned the big fan on and it has taken care of that.  The guy put in a couple of new vents that were needed and they are all set now.  No major problem like we thought it could be.  We prayed a lot so we are thanking God!!!.

Vikki came back after the dog park, and we finished the last bench.  Boy were we happy we were done and that it looked so great.  Vikki left and I watered the garden.  Then we came in and relaxed.  That sure felt good.
