Busy day today...Kenzie was going on a field trip and the bag she packed was too big. After I dropped her off at school, I went and picked up a small back pack for her to take and dropped it off at the office for them to give to her. I turned around and her teacher was behind me so he said he would take it to her. I ran to the bank for grandpa, then went to Sam's to get some pop for grandpa. Went back to his house, and then we planted more corn in the garden. I headed home to make sloppy joes for supper so it would be ready to drop off at grandpa's when I picked up Kenzie from school at 4:15. Kenzie and I took his clothes off the line for him, then came home to eat and get ready to go to her concert. She was in the strings orchestra and they did a fantastic job.
We all loved hearing them play. Outstanding job Kenzie!!

Notice who's up in that big tree. Don't know how Jared managed that. But it reminds me that he's tops in my book. Here are pictures of our little sweetie Adam's birthday. What a fun party for all of us. We sure enjoyed ourselves. Looking forward to Jacob's now. Notice the picture of Adam looking over all of his shirts. What a good little one year old to be interested in his clothes he received.
Vikki worked hard putting all those curls in Hailey's hair for her dance picture. She did a great job and Hailey looked beautiful. Aunt Missy and Hailey picked me up so I could video Hailey's dance class. Hailey danced beautifully. I couldn't believe how she knew all the steps. Good job Hailey! Afterward they came over to meet Kenzie's bird and we took these pictures. As you can see, Aunt Missy loved the bird, but Hailey kind of kept her distance. I spent the day with grandpa today. We cleaned his house (he cleaned the two porches which he hasn't been able to do in a while.) While the kitchen floor dried, I took him out to eat lunch. It was a sad day as it was a year ago today that mom passed away. We went to the cemetary and took a big potted hanging planter. It looks so nice. Then we rode around the park and also went riding to look for turkeys. Actually, we see more in grandpa's back yard than we seen riding around. We came to our house and grandpa looked over the camper we got to pull behind the motorcycle. He really liked it and though we should try it out right away.

Kenzie's Colorado Project

Thanks Gail for sending all the wonderful stuff from Colorado. Kenzie got an A on her project.

Here's Kenzie's new bird. Her other bird was mean so she kept it for two weeks like they told her where she bought it, thinking it might get nicer. It didn't so Kenzie called the pet shop and asked if she could bring it back and trade it for another one. They said she needed to talk to the manager so to call back at 3. She called and he was really nice and let her bring it back and get a new one. Well, she got her bird and named him Harley.
Of course Papa Bill approved of that name. He is the nicest bird. He lets her hold him, pet him, pick him up etc. and never tries to bite and doesn't squack. I even hold him and enjoy him. Papa hasn't quite got there yet however. Mocha and Harley get along very well too. I have tons of great pictures of Adam's birthday party to put on the blog. I resized them tonight so tomorrow will try to get them all on.

Took Kenzie to school then went to pay some bills. Got to dad's at about 8:30 am and we did some stuff around the house, then used Bill's GPS and headed to find an address where the guy fixes Crossman guns. Dad wanted to get his pellet gun fixed. Well the GPS took us right there and it didn't take us long. We went to Walmart afterwards and then home. We worked on putting the state quarters in a book, then it was time for lunch. I headed home to mow the grass. Got a call from Kimmy and they were at the dog park, so I ran over some sunscreen for the kids as it was getting warmer than Kimmy thought it would get. I enjoyed seeing the kids (and dogs). Of course, Mocha wanted me to carry her and keep her away from all the dogs. I need to take her with Champ sometime when it's not busy so she gets to like it. Took some cute pictures of the kids while I was there. Kenzie took the cute picture of Bill with Mocha. She was so happy to see him smile so big while holding her dog. She came running all excited to show me. Vikki wanted to cook out so she picked up hotdogs and chips.
She grilled the hotdogs on foil with onions. They tasted so good. She also brought ice cream sandwiches for desert. Yum Yum!! Thanks Vikki. I got the front yard cut when it started getting dark and gloomy out. Then the raindrops started falling so I headed for the shed. Went back to dad's to take his dinner. Last night I took him hotdogs, potato salad, and beans. He called me later on my cell phone to tell he it was a delicious meal. He also wanted to know if I wanted him to wash the containers or if he could throw them away.(they were butter containers) He was real happy when I said throw them away. When I was there this morning, he told me how good the food was again. I asked if he wanted the same thing tonight or if he wanted something different. He asked for the same thing without hesitating. I made him a banana cream pie today so took it over to him and we both had a piece after supper. He's so much fun to spend time with.
