12/31/15 HAPPY NEW YEAR....BROUGHT IN THE NEW YEAR AT WES AND GAYLA'S

Chuck, Sue and Wes in the basement at Wes and Gayla's.  They just did their basement.

Selfie of me and the Scarf Kenzie got me.  Thanks Kenzie
Went to Penneys, G's and Kohls.  Got a G's gift card and a coin jar that keeps a count at Kohl's for Joel for Christmas.  The coin jar was half off so happy about that.  Kenzie stopped while I was gone and gave Mocha a bath for me.  I was a happy camper when I got home and saw that.  Bill and I went to Riverside to meet Wes, Gayla, Chuck and Sue for dinner at 5.  We went to Wes and Gayla's house afterwards and played dominoes and had banana splits and other delicious treats.  Brought in the New Year and saw the ball drop and fireworks at Swan Valley.  Called the girls and their families to wish them Happy New Year.  Yearly tradition!

12/30/15 Did laundry, watched old videos

Kenzie stopped over and brought me this book she got me from the Christian Book Store and a beautiful scarf that has John 3:16 written out on it.  So sweet of her.  I read the introduction and the first chapter of the book she got me.  It is so good.  I could feel the Holy Spirit moving on my heart as I read.  Cole's grandma got Kenzie this same book.  She said she is going to read it.  I know her heart will be touched.

This is my scarf.  It has a special meaning between Kenzie and I because when she was five, we were at the park on McCarty Rd. and there was an older man that was walking his dog.  She wanted to see the dog and then asked me if she could say her scripture to him.  I thought it was the one we were learning that week in class and I thought that it wasn't one that a person who didn't know the Bible would get.  Instead she said John 3:16 that she had learned before.  The guy was so touched he said he had been thinking he needed to get back to church and now he was going to for sure.  I was so blessed to see how God used Kenzie.  Such a special day!
I am enjoying my Christmas tree as it will be coming down soon.  Went to Kohls shopping.  Got a King size mattress pad that's waterproof for our new mattress with the gift card Chuck and Sue gave us.  Got it for have price as they were having a sale!  YAY

12/29/15 Didn't go to breakfast....bad roads so just wanted to sleep in.

Cutie Adam and cute snowman...I borrowed this from Kimmy.  They just got home from Indiana and the other two boys have been sick.  Hopefully Adam doesn't catch it and the other two are better soon.

Didn't go to breakfast this morning.  Roads weren't good so just slept in.  Watched some old home videos while I did laundry.  Went to Vikki's for a while and we went to Jack's together.  After that I visited for a little while at her house.  Her road still wasn't plowed and was terrible.  All the other roads I took were fine.  Watched more movies when I got home.  Took Bill to get his truck from Garber's at 4:30.  Came home and Chuck brought some noodle soup he made from the turkey carcus we sent home with him.  It was yummy.  We went to fill the car, truck and some cans with gas so we could get our $1.00 off a gallon on 35 gallons before it ran out the end of the month.  For my car, Bill truck (it wasn't empty though) and a gas can it was a total of $35.00 with our dollar off 35 gallons.
Such a big blessing.  I went to Culver's when we got home.  Dad's mouth was bothering him so I went myself.  It was real quiet with mostly just workers there.  Kenzie waited on me and of course thought she knew exactly the concrete mixer I wanted.  She was pretty close except couldn't remember the second fruit I always get.  She knew it was either raspberries or strawberries.  It is strawberries.  She also was going to have them mix the cashews in instead of on top.  I do that both ways though so I guess she has me pretty figured out.  While I sat in the booth eating it, she came and talked to me for a while.  She was back at the cash register when I went to leave so I told her goodbye.  She called me as I was heading for the door and came over to me and gave me a big hug and said she loved me.  So sweet of her.  All her worker friends were watching because no one was busy.

12/28/15.....Bill went to Detroit to have spots removed in his mouth to be checked for cancer. Praying for good report

Quiet day.  Prayed a lot for Bill's procedure to go well and his drive to be safe.  Winter snow warnings with ice predicted.  I just relaxed and knitted with my wonderful new knitting needles.  Kenzie, Cole and Catniss stopped over for a while.  Bill made it home safely.  Was doing pretty good and will have to wait for results.  Told him it will be a couple days.

12/26/15 Vikki and Peyton came over for been soup as we didn't have a lot of leftovers from Christmas

Got up early and went to Pat's to get beans to make bean soup.  I made the soup and then called Vikki to come have some.  We always get together for leftovers after Christmas, but there weren't many leftovers.  We started watching Finding Nemo when Chuck and Sue came over to pick up the turkey carkus.  They stayed and watched the "Mom's night Out movie we started watching Christmas Eve and couldn't finish.  Then we played cards, but they won all three games.  Bill and I didn't get good hands.

A full moon tonight.  Haven't had a full moon on Christmas since 1977 when Kimmy and Vikki were babies.  Won't have another one in many years so I took a picture
I got up at 5:30. Took my shower, spent time in the Word, listened to Christmas music and worshipped.  So thankful Jesus came as a baby on Christmas so long ago and so thankful He is my Lord and Savior!  Bill got up and got ready and we headed to Melissa and Bruce's.  We had yummy cinnamon rolls Bruce made when we got there.  The kids opened their presents and then Bruce and Melissa opened theirs.  The kids got papa lots of yummy candy kisses and they got me a beautiful vanilla candle.  Then we ate eggs and ham, omelet casserole, potatoes, bacon, sausage, and pancakes.  We had coffee and orange juice to drink.  I was so full after that.  Bruce got called into work so Melissa and I cleaned everything up. Then Bill and I left and headed to Vikki and Rody's.  We visited with them and saw everything the kids got for Christmas.  The kids were adorable.
We left there and came home to let Mocha out and then headed to Kimmy and Jared's.  The boys showed us all their lego sets they got.  They were together and amazing.  Eli was still working on his.  Jared had made a ham so they all got ready to eat.  I was still too full, but Bill ate ham, mashed potatoes, corn, and banana bread with them.  I tried a bite of ham to take the glaze Jared put on it.  It was yummy.  We visited after that, Bill took a nap and Kimmy and I knitted with our new needles.  Love my new needles.  I did take a Christmas cookie to eat as I left.  Bill took Jacob's big bag of M & M's to tease him and was going to give them back to him in the truck but he got so busy showing them everything in the truck that he forgot and brought them home.  He had to call Jacob and let him know.  Came home and did my blog and watched TV.

Got up at 5 and started preparing food.  Got done at 8:30 and then got dressed before everyone started coming at 9.  Cole was the first one here.  He was  5 minutes early.  Kenzie got here right on time.  Vikki and family and Melissa and family got here shortly after 9.  Kimmy and family were about an hour late because they didn't have any power at their house.  The wind was really blowing.  It even knocked over their basketball hoop.  We had some cookies and punch and then Bill read the Christmas story out of the Bible.  The kids were very good (Papa told them he would give a dollar to the best listener)  They all got a dollar by the way.  We started opening presents after that.  The kids all started from youngest to oldest giving the gift they got to the one they had drawn their name.  They got really fun things.  Then we went from youngest to oldest to open all of their presents.  Jacob, Adam and Eli were super excited about their nerf blasters.  Max and Jack loved their Monster trucks that pull 200 pounds too.  Isaac was pretty excited about having his cubby build a bear back.    Poor Hailey.  I got her an i tunes card and then gave her the rest in money, but I only put 10 in instead of $45 like I was supposed to.  I gave it to her later.  I got a beautiful calendar again from Vikki that she made up.  Also got a small blowdryer that folds, a glass screen protector for my phone, a beautiful knitting needle bag that Kimmy made and a round wooden knitting needle set that you screw the ends on, the movie "Mom's Night Out", beautiful sweaters, jewelry and gift cards.  Kenzie and Cole gave me a wall plug in with two plugs and two charging places.
Bill gave me a really nice 8 in one screwdriver flashlight. ha ha (I had picked it up and wrapped it from him to me.)  Chuck and Sue came to eat with us. The girls and Sue helped so much it was amazing.  It was a fun day and we were so blessed.  Thank you Jesus for my family!  Bruce got called in to work right after he ate.  We watched the movie and had to stop because I had to take Melissa and three of her kids home as Bruce didn't get back.  Vikki and Rody took Hailey to Melissas.  Came back and went to Kimmy and Jared's church to hear Adam and Eli play the bells.  Jacob is too old this year boo hoo.  The boys did great and the church service was amazing.  We sang beautiful Christmas carols and the pastor gave a great message. When we got home we watched the movie together and then went to bed!
