Thurs. 2/29/24, Cold 34 degree day, but sunny. Bill cut up the pine tree that fell, Vikki came over,

Kit Kat wanting me to let her in
I got to face time with Rehvyn today.  Love him so much!

Another cold windy day.  I enjoyed my oatmeal and cappuccino this morning.  I watered my plants and moved some into the sunshine for a while.  Bill went to coffee with Charlie.  I called Melissa and talked to her for a short while, then called Sue and had a nice long talk.
I haven’t talked to her for a couple of weeks, so we caught up.  I called Kimmy after that to see what time her power came back on.  It didn’t come back on until 4 a.m.  Now their corn burner isn’t working.  Jared had to leave this morning for work, so didn’t have much time to look at it to see what the problem is.  I am praying it is an easy fix.  I know how much they love using their corn burner.   I talked with Kenzie a few times and face timed with her and Rehvyn.  Whenever I see him I just want to hold him so bad.  Can’t wait to see him in person.

Bill got home and we read our Bibles and devotions.  Vikki stopped over after she finished working to fill out some forms.  I was finishing making ground bologna.  When I was finished, she had a couple of ground bologna sandwiches.  I had a half one because I had already eaten a peanut butter and jelly sandwich for lunch with Bill.  Vikki and I talked to Paul for a while.  She and I had a nice visit too.  She stayed until she had to go pick up the kids.  Bill had gone outside and we kept wondering where he was.  Vikki said she saw the big shed door up, so we figured he was in the shed.  When she left, we saw him cutting up the tree that fell.  She took a picture for me.

I made salmon for dinner that was from Sam’s Club.  It was so good.  Bill just wanted a couple of toasted ground bologna sandwiches.

Wed. 2/28/24, Very windy out, tornadoes in Grand Blanc last night, Kenzie lost power for a while in the morning, Kimmy lost power in the afternoon/evening, Did some cleaning, read Bible, went to visit our friend Barb,

The wind blew a tree down

Nice lunch with dear friends Barb and Elaine
Ordered our stove today...it gets delivered with our microwave on Saturday
New kitchen cupboards for next to the stove.  We can use our real wood doors we have now.

We are relaxing by the fireplace with the lights out.  Cozy

It got super windy around 4 a.m.  I got up and brought in our welcome board sign on the porch.  Then I went back to bed.  The wind sure was howling.  I got back up again and looked out the windows to check on things.  Bill drank his protein drink.  I ate oatmeal and we both had coffee.  Bill left to go to town to pick up the cupboards we need for the kitchen.
I read my Bible and devotions while I waited for Elaine to come over.  When she got here, I drove and we went to Alma to visit our friend, Barb.  Barb has had cancer for over a year.
We were amazed at how good she looked when she opened the door.  She looked just beautiful.  She has quit chemo and decided she wants quality of life.  The chemo was making her sick and making her hands hurt so bad, she couldn’t use them.  Today she was like a spry young girl.  She is still doing ministry and is trusting God.  Praying He does a miracle for her.  We sure enjoyed our time with her.  We went to a very nice Italian restaurant for lunch, and we had such a nice visit.  Our waitress was amazing.

We took Barb home, then headed home.  We drove by our two previous houses in Hemlock so Elaine could see them.  We had a really nice visit on the way home.  She had to leave right away to do a couple more errands when we got to my house.

Bill had the new cupboards out of the boxes and in the family room.  He and I got ready and went to Menards, then ABC Warehouse.  We got our kitchen range and an over the stove microwave from ABC Warehouse.  They are so nice.  They will be delivered on Saturday.
It’s getting exciting now.

I talked to Melissa, Kimmy, Vikki and Kenzie.  Kenzie was without power this morning, but it wasn’t off long.  I FaceTimed with my sweet Rehvyn.  He’s the cutest!  Later on when I talked to Kimmy, they had lost power.  It still wasn’t on a couple of hours later.  Praying it comes on quickly so their fish are ok.

Tues., 2/27/24, Voted!!!!! Went to Kimmy’s, 75 degrees and sunny out today, Melissa, Max and Bruce came over, The guys practiced shooting,

My Wyatt...he sure gave me a warm welcome this morning.  He’s such a cute dog with a great personality.

It was so wonderful to spend time with Jacob today
Bo and the sheep in the pasture
Bo loves his treats!  I love giving him treats.
Jacob on our walk through their woods
The pileated woodpecker has been busy at Kimmy and Jared's
How many pictures does it take to get a good one of Jacob with his tongue not sticking out.  You will have to keep scrolling.

He’s cute!   Finally got a good picture!
Beautiful Peyton at the dentist.  She came out after 8 minutes because her teeth were already so clean.  She brushes and flosses 3 times a day.  The dentist was very happy and so were Peyton and Vikki.  No cavities either.  Isaac was only in for 20 minutes and didn’t have any cavities either.

Got ready.  Bill and I voted on our absentee ballots.  We goofed and he had mine and I had his.  We didn’t realize it until we had signed our names.  We decided we would take them in later to see what we needed to do.  Bill helped me fold some king size sheets I washed after using them yesterday when I cleaned the kernel burner.   I made a coffee to drink on the way and headed to Kimmy’s house around 9:30.  It was already 53 degree out and the sun was shining.  I got there and was happy to see Jacob was up already.  He got up at 7:30 this morning.  We all sat visiting and Kimmy told us a little proudly about her winning streak in 3-13.  Jacob and I started texting then for a few minutes and left her out of our conversation...we were just kidding of course.  Jacob went in his room and fell asleep.  Kimmy packaged up a soup bowl and a mug to put in the mail.  I assisted minimally.  A lot goes into all they do for their pottery business.  She is pretty fast at what she does.  Kimmy and I visited more, then she went and woke Jacob up to see if he wanted a sub sandwich.  He did.  Kimmy made all of our sandwiches and wouldn’t let me help.  Jacob got up and we ate.  The sandwiches were delicious.  We played 3-13 after that.  Of course Kimmy reminded us about her winning streak.  Jacob and I started out really good.  He went out and I didn’t get any points.  It went downhill for Jacob after that.  I did good and stayed in the negative and Kimmy was in the positive until the end of the game.  Then I moved to positive, but only had 15 points when the last hand started. Kimmy was a little ahead of me.  Whoever went out would win.  I got the worst hand for the A’s and no wilds.  Kimmy ended up sticking me and she was the winner.  Poor Jacob will have to keep hearing about her winning streak.

The three of us went for a walk after that.  Kimmy and I went to the barn to see Bo and give him some treats while we were waiting for Jacob.  Bo was super happy.  He is such a nice horse.  He is as nice as our Sammy was.  We walked back toward the house and Jacob came out.  We looked at the flower beds and then went to check the Lenten Roses.  She had new growth coming too.  Mine are looking good this year too.  We walked through her woods and by the pond.  It was so nice out and great not to have to wear coats in February.  We said goodby and hugged, then Kimmy left to pick up Adam and take him to run 4 miles with Hope at her school.  Kimmy took him an ice water.  I came home and measured drawers in the camper, to cut the plastic liner to put in them.  It was really warm in the camper so I had to turn on the vents and open windows.  It cooled down pretty fast then.

I heard from Wes and Gayla that they made it around Atlanta at 1 p.m.  They were thankful they don’t have to drive in traffic like that everyday.  They are driving their motor home and staying in Florida for a month.  They sure had nice weather for travel.

We took a short nap while we waited for the carpenter who is going to give us an estimate for removing our drop in stove and putting in a regular stove.  He came and said he could do everything we wanted.  Is also putting a microwave over the stove so I will have more cupboard space.  He said he can save the cupboard doors we have which are real wood and use them on the new 9 in cupboards. Yay!  He told us to go order the stove tomorrow because it is the last day of the sale!

I talked to Melissa, Vikki and Kimmy to have them pray for our sister Angie.  She is in the ER after having a stent put in yesterday.  Said something about a bleed, but couldn’t understand her text real well.  We are praying hard.

Monday, 2/26/24, Filled the bird feeders, cleaned the kernel burner, worked outside, Bill took a motorcycle ride, went to dinner with Pastor Ken, Joan, the elders and their wives

Got things covered and ready to clean the kernel burner
The birds were happy I filled the feeders.  Lots came to eat today.  Sunny and 55 degrees out.
The squirrel was pretty happy I filled the feeders too
Christmas Cactus is blossoming on one side again and lots of baby leaves coming on the other side
Sure am happy when the kernel burner is all cleaned and starts right away

Bill went with Charlie for coffee.  I filled the bird feeders since they were getting pretty empty because we were gone.  Then I made oatmeal and had my coffee for breakfast.  After that it was time to clean the kernel burner.  I covered the furniture with sheets, then began the task of cleaning.  It went really well and was super easy.  I am getting better at it (of course I always know to pray first).  The parts all come out and go in much better than they used to.  I don’t dread it like I used to.

Bill got home and brought me a muffin from Tim Hortons.  Yum!  He decided to go get a haircut.  He went on the motorcycle.  Charlie was just getting finished with a haircut.  Bill looks so nice with his beard trimmed nicely and his hair cut nicely.

Bill’s sister, Angie, had a stent put in today.  They texted that it went well.  Later Angie texted me that there is a complication with the artery and she will keep me posted.  Sure am praying.  His sister, Debbie, called and is having a biopsy on Wednesday.  We are all praying for her too.

I went outside for a while and walked around.  Saw that Kit Kat killed a big ole mouse.  Good kitty.  I pulled some weeds and put them in a garbage can.  I will work more on them tomorrow when it is 67 degrees out.

In the evening, we went to Timbers with Pastor Ken and Joan and all the elders and wives from church.  We had a meeting after we finished eating.  I am so thankful for this group of friends that love the Lord, seek Him and have great wisdom from God.

When I got home, I talked to Kimmy, Vikki and Melissa.  l talked to Kenzie earlier today. She said Rehvyn is doing great.  I am missing him.

Sunday, 5/25/24, Left our motel and went to Big Boy in West Branch for breakfast, listened to our church service online, finished it when we got home, unpacked, rested, went to worship at church at 6, watched a movie

Yesterday, I prayed for Michelle who wasn’t feeling well. I prayed and in my prayer at the end, I prayed this scripture.  Her mom prayed with me and told me to look at my phone and see the text she sent me earlier.  I looked and this was it.  I hadn’t checked my messages because of being in church.  So cool what the Lord does!
Kenzie sent me this cute picture of my sweet baby grandson

We left our hotel and headed to Big Boy down the street to have. breakfast.  Al and Lucy were there so we talked to them for a while.  They were getting ready to leave and we had just ordered our breakfast.  They are one of the nicest couples!  They left, and our breakfast came.  We both had the senior breakfast that came with coffee included.  The breakfast was delicious.  We both had eggs, crispy bacon, and then Bill had wheat toast and I had fresh fruit for my choice.  Yum!  Great price too!  $13 for our breakfast total.

We had a nice ride home with the sun shining and the temperatures warming up.  We took the country route.  At 10, we listened to our church’s live broadcast online.  I saw that Bill’s sister Angie was watching and commented and told us hi.  I answered her back.  I’m so glad she listens each week.  She has been since covid.  Amazing worship and an awesome message.  We had to finish watching it when we got home.  After the service was over, we carried stuff in and unloaded and put everything away.  Then we sat in our loveseat recliners and rested.  I texted the girls and Kenzie to let them know we were home.

We went to a worship service at our church.  It was awesome and the Holy Spirit was moving.  Nothing like worshipping the only true God who has done so much for us and is so worthy of our praise.  Hallelujah!

When we got home we got a snack, then watched Double Glance.  A movie with David White in it when he was just a young kid.

I read my Bible after that.  Bill had already read his.

I got up at 5:30 and Bill was up and said he already took his shower.  I got ready, then we read our Bibles.  We headed to the church and had a pancake and sausage breakfast there which the West Branch chapter put on to raise money for RFS through donations.  Louis, Don, Elaine, Cheryl from Faith Riders came today.  Great messages on the hope in Jesus we have and how we need to tell others about the hope we have.  Awesome worship, awesome prayer and great fellowship, plus the youth of the church made an awesome chicken noodle soup/chili/white chili/salad meal for donations and served us.  They did an amazing job.  They made $700 after their costs were covered.
We had more teachings after lunch.  We had a time where the leadership prayed for people after the service.  Then we had officer training.  Those of us who aren’t chapter officers helped pack goodies up.

Then 20 of us went to Lumberjacks for dinner.  The food and the service was amazing! We came back to the motel after we ate.  I talked with Kenzie and she sent me a picture of the neat carrier she bought for me today.  She’s so sweet and thoughtful!

I talked to Melissa and Kimmy too.  I talked with Vikki, Rody and Stacie earlier.  They all cared about my Facebook getting hacked and wanted to help me!  I love my family!!!

I got up at 5:30 and got ready. Bill got up at 6:30. While he got ready, I read my Bible and did my devotions.  He read son of his Bible, then we left at 7:15 and went to Mac’s Restaurant. We sat with Jay, Jane, and Jeff Pezel.  Al and Lucy set at a
Booth nest to us.  Sandy and Jerry came in later.  Everyone at our table got two eggs, hash browns, bacon and toast.  The breakfasts were huge!  I couldn’t even eat half of mine.  No one else could finish there’s either. We left there and went to the church and unloaded the goodie trailer and set goodies up.  There were lots of people who came to help us, so that was a blessing
We stayed at the church, then went for a late lunch.  We all got soup because we were still pretty full from breakfast.  We went with Jay and Jane and Sandy and Jerry. Their soup was really good too.
We went back to the church.  Bill had some last minute changes he had to go over, so I came back to the hotel for 1 1/2 hours to rest.  Then I went back to the church, visited more, and bought some items Barb was selling to raise money for Run for the Son.  Did more visiting til the service started.  It was a great service ad we had awesome prayer afterwards.  I got to FaceTime with Vikki for a short time.  Then we had pizza after the service and more fellowship.  So good to see friends from all over Michigan.  We came back to our motel after that and Bill finished reading his Bible while I worked on my blog.
