Isaac, Rody, Peyton and Vikki bringing in the New Year 2021

Bill took his first shower after his surgery today.  When we took the bandage off, the incision was bigger than we thought it would be.  I went to Sam's Club and got a few things, then went to Melissa's to drop off some cream rinse I got for her.  I met Vikki at Jack's and we got some things for our New Year's Eve celebration.  Bill and I at baked chicken (I used my new roaster) and air fried potatoes for lunch.  I made Bruce's nacho dip for tonight.  We didn't eat dinner because we wanted to have room for all the snacks we were going to eat.We got to Vikki's at 6:30 and all ate and enjoyed lots of snacks.  We watched Mark Gungor a pastor in Wisconsin who does marriage seminars and is so funny.  We all did lots of laughing.  After that it was time for Elevation Worship's New Years Eve Party!  What an awesome time of worship!  Bill was getting tired, so we came home and watched the rest here.  We brought in the New Year with them and didn't even watch the ball drop this year!  Didn't even miss it either!  Thanking Jesus for all of His blessings in 2020.  On to 2021!  HAPPY BLESSED NEW YEAR!

Wed., 12/30/2020, Bill had a good day today, Gave Charlie and Sue their Ninja chopper/juicer, Used the snowblower and did the driveway

Isaac sent me this sweet and precious text today!  I am in agreement ...By the Stripes of Jesus Papa is Healed!
I Borrowed the snow pictures from the girls to put on my blog

Isaac made a cute snowman
Peyton made a cute snowman too
 Max with a big snowball

Evan and Jack had fun in the snow today

Evan and Jack

We got about 3 inches of snow last night.  Bill couldn't sleep at all last night and was in lots of pain when the block he had gotten wore off.  He was calling me, but I was sleeping and didn't hear him so he called my cell phone.  I came out to the living room and gave him a couple of Motrin because the nurse had said he could take them too.  Today was a good day for him and his pain was under control.  I ran the snowblower and did the driveway and the asphalt drive by the shed.  I also did some paths like Bill always does.  I shoveled the sidewalks and shoveled both decks off.  The deck is so easy to clean off with this stain on it.
Charlie dropped a bag off for us and I gave him the Ninja Food grinder/juicer.  Vikki had found it and got it for Melissa, it was missing the juicer top that you put on to juice. I was telling Melissa I wanted to get one for Charlie and Sue because of his esophageal surgery, and she told me I could have the one Vikki got her.  Bruce had gotten a blender not too long ago and he wanted to just keep using that one.  They didn't have room to store all the pieces to this one she said.  Anyway, she said I could have it to give to Charlie and Sue.  I ordered a new top, and it just arrived so today was the day we could give it to them.  The grandkids all had fun playing in the snow today.  I was happy to see their pictures so I put them on my blog.  I loved Isaac's text to me today.  What a precious kiddo!  Made sirloin burgers, French fries in the air fryer, and peas for dinner.  We watched a Movie called The Roof Christmas Tree.

Tuesday, 12/29/2020, Bill had his shoulder surgery, Spent the day with Kimmy, Vikki and the kids while waiting for Bill's surgery

Eli nice and comfy on Vikki's Rollaway bed watching the game on the TV Jacob is playing
 Jacob and Peyton

Bill right after he came back to the room after his recovery.  The nurse was helping him and was next to the bed getting his shirt out of a bag.  I took it so I wouldn't get her in it and he didn't know I was taking it.
Bill after he got in the chair for the first time after his surgery. When Melissa showed Evan the pictures, he saw this picture and said “He looks ready to come home already! That’s really good to be that great that soon after surgery. I prayed that and my prayer was answered.”  So precious!
Kimmy, Vikki and the kids surprised Bill and were at our house when we came home and Melissa was on Face Time to greet him and give him balloons, a cute stuffed monkey and a sweet card with them.

Tina and Chris Seager left these goodies on our porch for Bill...venison sticks, cheese puffs and a sweet card

We read our Bibles.  When Bill took his shower, I ate breakfast because he couldn't eat because of the surgery, and I didn't want to eat in front of him.  We read our Bibles and then left for the hospital. (C.H.) They had the desks set up in the entranceway and were being really careful.  We had to check in with face masks on and they had sanitizer for us to sanitize our hands.  We went to the 3rd floor and checked in and went to Bill's room.  I could be with him until they took him to surgery.  The Chaplain came in first thing and prayed for Bill.  It was a beautiful prayer, and Bill said he wasn't nervous after that.  The nurse came in and got him ready and started his IV.  Then they came to take him to surgery, so I gave him a face mask kiss and said another little prayer with him. I went to Vikki's to wait for phone messages from the hospital saying when they were starting the surgery, and when they were taking him to recovery and to hang out with her, Kimmy and the kids till I got the call to go pick Bill up.  She made us yummy chicken salad sandwiches for lunch!  I was hungry too!  YUM!  We watched the boys play games on the TV and we played part of a game of 3-13.  The doctor called and I put him on speaker.  He told us the surgery went well.  He said the tear was pretty big, but he was able to repair it well.  We continued our game until I got a call from the nurse saying I could come to the hospital to see him.  I got there and he was doing really good and could move his fingers and there was no swelling.  He ate some ice cream and some crackers for a snack.  About a half hour later, they let us go home.  We stopped at the VA for him to get his prescription.  We came home and Kimmy, Vikki, and the kids were here and Melissa was on Face Time.  They had all got him balloons and a cute little monkey and a sweet card.  He sure is loved!  I got him soup from Souper Cafe for dinner.  I ate left over mac n cheese.  We watched a couple of Movies....one was I am Gabriel.  He had seen it on his phone and wanted me to watch it.  He wants everyone in our family to watch it.  Can't wait to see the ending.

Monday, 12/28/2020, Kimmy and the boys came over and Vikki, Peyton and Isaac came over, Social Distance Elder's meeting

Peyton roller blading in the basement
I especially love this picture!  There is a dead mole in the left corner of the window behind Jacob.  I have been praying for God to take care of the moles in our yard as we can't seem to catch them.  Yay!  I was so happy He took care of this one!
Adam hurt his foot when he was playing ping pong and stepped back and landed on Isaac's Roller Blade...Ouch!

Eli was very happy that Aunt Bippi had a bed for him this time when he spent the night

Elaine called to pray with Bill and I about his surgery.  She prayed a wonderful prayer, and we had a nice long chat too.  I had planned on making mac and cheese before Kimmy got here, but had talked on the phone so long, Kimmy and the boys got here before I could make it.  I made it while they were trying to figure out how Adam could text Aunt Missy and Max. I made pizza for the boys, and Kimmy and I ate the Mac and Cheese.  Afterwards, Kimmy, Eli and I drove in Kimmy's van and Bill, Jacob and Adam drove in Bill's truck and  went to Home Depot, so Kimmy could use her dad's military discount.  The boys went with Papa to pick up water for our dispenser after that, and Kimmy, Eli and I came home.  We saw the eagle on the way home, but it was on Gratiot and not by it's nest.  Sure were happy to see it.
Vikki and the kids got to our house and Vikki had some Mac N Cheese.  The kids weren't hungry.  We played some ping pong and the kids rollerbladed in the basement.  Poor Adam came up with a big cut in his heel.  He stepped back while playing ping pong and landed on Isaac's roller blade.  Ouch!  Kimmy put stuff on it and bandaged him up.  It bled through the sock Papa lent him, so Kimmy put a bigger bandage on it.  We went to the park, and the kids rollerbladed on the nice skating rink.  Eli did really good as a beginner.  Peyton and Isaac sure are good now.  Adam had us laughing as he acted like he was rollerblading and was moving pretty fast.  The hospital called and Bill has to be there at 10:50.  It sure will be hard waiting to get a call and hearing how he is doing.  Covid sure has changed things.  We had an elder's meeting at church tonight.  We had it in the big fellowship hall,  5 couples and each couple was at their own table spaced far apart.  It was a good meeting and so nice that Pastor prayed right away for Bill's surgery tomorrow.  Came home and talked to Melissa for a while. Bill said he's a little nervous about tomorrow.

We went to church...Wonderful time of worship and great message.  We came home and ate our regular Sunday Brunch.  I started taking off more ornaments from the tree.  I messaged Stacie to see if we could drop off Kody's Christmas presents.  She texted me back, so we left to go there.  We went out in the shed where it could be open and airy.  Kody liked his gifts.  They had gifts for us to open too.  They got us a beautiful plaque that says Give Thanks.  We loved it!  Bill got a $25 Cabella's card and I got a $25 Barnes and Noble Card.  That was so sweet of them.  We had a nice time visiting and catching up.  We only stayed about a half hour. When we got home I worked on taking the tree stuff off, and Bill took down the outside lights and Nativity.  I took all the other decorations in the house down too, except left the little tree in the family room up and also the stair rail decorations.  Bill helped me move the furniture back where it was before Christmas and he carried boxes upstairs to the attic and brought down a rocking chair for me.  We watched a movie called God Cafe.

Slept in until almost 9.  Bill went with Charlie for a ride while they drank their coffee and visited.  I put some Christmas boxes and stuff away.  Vikki and Peyton came over, and we went to Kimmy's to get my purse that I forgot last night.  We had a fun time there.  Melissa face timed us and it was so cute because the boys all took over.  They were all excited to show their cousins their Christmas gifts.  We finally were able to see and talk to Melissa and had a nice visit.  We drank coffee, visited and played 3-13.  I was the big loser and Kimmy was the big winner.  We stopped at Walmart on the way home and used my Humana Master Card they sent me to get over the counter medical products.  It had to be used before 12/31, so I was happy to have Vikki's help.  The girls were happy to get some supplies too.  We stopped at McDonalds on the way home and got Peyton and Isaac OreoMcFlurries with their gift cards we gave them for Christmas.  Rody came over and we all ate Christmas Leftovers which is our yearly tradition.  Vikki and I sorted through all the stuff we got and put it in bags.  After they left, Bill and I watched a movie.

Friday, 12/25/2020...MERRY CHRISTMAS...Visited all the girls and their families today

Isaac and Peyton in their robes and slippers they got for Christmas

We spent our time in the Word and Prayer and then Melissa FaceTimed us and we watched Hailey, Max, Jack and Evan open their presents from us.  We watched Melissa and Bruce open next.  It was so much fun.  Melissa called me when Bruce had breakfast ready, and we placed our order and then went to their house.  We opened our gifts from the kids on their porch.  Hailey got me some of my favorite foam soap from Bath and Body Works which I love.  The boys got me a gift pack of lavender soap, lotion, Essential oil spray, balm, chapstick and other great items from the Maple Grill. All made in Michigan products. The boys were excited to show us their Nerf Guns we got them.  They sure were having fun with them.  We took a picture with Hailey.  We even got to arm hug, which sure brought tears to my eyes then and a few times through the day.   Melissa had packed up plates of eggs, bacon, potatoes, sausage, French toast, cinnamon rolls and fruit.  It was super delicious.  Thank you Bruce and Melissa!  Best restaurant in town and great service.  We came home and ate, then went over to Vikki and Rody's.  We looked at all the gifts the kids got and enjoyed watching them play.  We had a nice visit, then we headed to Kimmy and Jared's.
We had coffee and got to see what the boys got.  Jacob got a light like mine that Kimmy and family got for me.  He showed me how it worked.  It's amazing!  I thought it was like the one I had upstairs that I love, but it is so much nicer and does so much more.  We watched
some Victor Borge videos, then we had to head home as I was dropping Christmas leftovers off to Sue and Chuck.  I did that as soon as I got home.  We watched a movie that was ok, but couldn't get into it because the actors weren't very good.
