Bill met Charlie for coffee.  I got ready, fed the birds, ate breakfast and had my morning coffee.  Texted with my sister Brenda lots, and also texted with my sister Jody.  Texted with Kimmy, Adam, Vikki and Melissa too.  Bill worked on power washing the mower and putting it on the tractor.  He got it on right before it was time to leave.  We went to Evan's Birthday Party at 2.  We had fun and the cake and ice cream sure were delicious.  It was fun seeing Evan so excited and having fun with his friend Elijah.  Bill saw that it was supposed to rain in a couple of hours, so we left so he could cut the grass.  First time this year it's been cut!  I went to Costco and got gas because we saw it was going up to $4.39.  I paid 3.92 at Costco.  Vikki got gas in town for 3.96 and then she came to our house.  I got there right after her.  Peyton brought all of her clothes she got from the garage sale to model for me.  We had so much fun.  She sure got cute clothes for cheap.  She looked beautiful in everything.  I wish I would have remembered to take a picture here.  I dropped some slippers that came today off at Melissa's.  I had ordered her a pair 2 years ago and she loved them, so wanted the same kind.  I went to Meijer after that and picked up some of the carbonated water Bill likes to drink.  Read our Bibles, and relaxed in the evening.

Friday, 4/29/22, Went to Freeland Garage Sales, Went to Adam's soccer game

My cousin, Jack, passed away on the 27th.  He was my favorite cousin!  I'm thankful for all the memories of have of fun times together.

Fun time going to garage sales with Kimmy and Vikki.  We all had our wonderful carts Vikki found for us a few years back.
Vikki, Jack, Melissa, Evan and Kimmy....we were happy when they came to the area we were in to say hi.  Evan brought the nerf gun at the sales and was so happy he got it for $4 which was a really good deal.  Jack got one for a good deal too.
Vikki, Kimmy and me having ice cream from the ice cream truck.  I wanted to treat them just because of all the memories I have of getting ice cream from the ice cream cart in the neighborhood when I was little.

Peyton and Isaac in their cute shirts Kenzie and Travis made them.
Adam played an amazing game.  He is fast, his eye is on the ball always, and he is so good at going after the ball and kicks it so well.  Great soccer player! Lots of action pictures below!

He looks so big out on the soccer field now.   He started out playing so little.
He ran to the other end and kicked it three or four times toward the goal, but the goalie stopped it each time.  They won 6 to 0.

Planted my Zinnias a few days ago and they are sprouting.

Got up, got ready, and packed sandwiches, grapes, muffins, cream sodas and waters for our lunch during our garage sale time.  It was a beautiful sunny day.  We started out in the 30's with our hats and gloves on.  Buy the end of our shopping day it was in the 60's and we were eating ice cream.  We all found a few things and got discounted prices on most of it.  We had a great time hanging out and shopping together.  Nice getting 11,000 steps too.  We were glad we got to hang out with Melissa, Bruce, Jack and Evan for a while too.  We shopped until 4, then Kimmy headed to Adam's game, and Vikki and I headed home.  Bill and I headed to Adam's game, once I got home.

It was windy and a little cool in the open field watching Adam play, but we took hats, gloves and blankets so wasn't too bad.  I got my hug from Eli and loved seeing him.  Jacob had to practice his music, so he couldn't come.  I am glad he is so responsible and wants to do well.  I sure enjoyed watching Adam play.  He is just amazing now.  He goes after the ball and knows how to get it to where it should go.

We came home, and I talked to Melissa for a while, and also texted with Kimmy, Adam, Vikki, Hailey and Kenzie.

Thurs., 4/28/22, Went to Jacks, Went to garage sales with Bill, Took Bill to pain clinic, Vikki and twins came over

Peyton thinking about trying the new Hover Board they got at a garage sale

We had Isaac try the Hover Board first in the house.  We were a little nervous about them trying it outside.  He did great and so did Peyton.

Kit Kat loving her new tunnel and toys from Vikki
Vikki sent me this after I did my blog, but I had to add it.  It's so cute!
Spoiled Kitty
Isaac went out to the camper with me.  He can't wait to go camping and neither can I.

I had oatmeal and coffee, then uncovered my plants.  Bill had to go get a blood test, so I went to Jacks and got some meat.  I saw the eagle sitting in the tree on my way.  Always love seeing eagles.  Bill called me when I was just getting ready to check out at Jack's, and wanted to know if I wanted to go to some garage sales.  Of course I said yes.  We went to the Freeland sales.  He found a couple of leather Jackets.  He got a good deal on them, so he was pretty happy.  We went to another area to look.  Stopped at a few.  I didn't buy anything.

Came home and I sat outside while Bill got ready for his appointment at the pain clinic.  It was a nice sunny day and got up to 54 degrees.  We went to his appointment, then I went to Aldi while he was in getting his injections.  They always call me when he is done.
I went back to the parking lot and waited for about 10 minutes, then they told me to drive up to get him.  He did good.  I am always happy when he walks out that door.  We went to Texas Roadhouse for lunch.  They open at 3 and we got there 5 minutes after 3 so hardly no one was there.  We had fast service.  We both had sirloin steak, baked potato, salad and yummy rolls.  Everything is always delicious there.  We came home and I started edging my new garden space.  I didn't get it all done, but did make progress and got some weeds out too.  Still wet, but workable.  Vikki and the kids came and brought Kit Kat lots of cute toys she found a deal on.  Kit Kat played with every one and was so excited.  It was cute to see how excited she was.  She played in the tunnel too.  Vikki got some cat socks too.  We put the socks on her and in a flash she kicked all four off at the same time lol.  It was so funny.

I covered my plants again tonight. Yay, this is the last night of cold temperatures in the forecast.  I'm excited about Kimmy, Vikki and my garage sale adventures tomorrow.  We always have a good time.

Talked to Vicki B., Melissa, Kimmy and Vikki.  Adam texted me and let me know he passed his Drivers training test.  I am so happy for him.  I knew he would, but I know what a relief it is when you hear you passed.  Let the driving begin!  Texted with Kenzie.  Still praying for Melissa to feel better.

Wed., 4/27/22, Cold and windy, 28 degrees when I got up,

Bruce has been awarded the Operations Professional of the Year and has excelled professionally, consistently generated good quality effluent, and has publicly promoted the profession of the wastewater treatment plant operator.

I am so proud of Bruce.  He has so much knowledge, works so hard, has great management skills and so much more.  He is an all around amazing guy!  This is so well deserved.  It sure made my day!

Our score sheet from tonight's game

Bill had to take his trailer over to Charlies and help him take it in to be worked on.  I had my morning coffee and oatmeal.  When it started warming up a little, I uncovered all of my daffodils and hyacinths that I covered last night.  They all look beautiful  I have tonight and tomorrow night to cover again as it is getting below freezing.  I want to enjoy them for as long as I can.

I worshiped to some good worship music, then did my praying and Bible reading.  Talked to Kimmy, Melissa, Vikki, Sue and Marie today.  Texted with my Adam.  Walked around outside for a while and looked all of my plants over.  Fun to see how much they grow.  KitKat followed me and wanted me to pick her up a couple of times.  She loves it outside now and doesn't really even try to get in anymore.

Bruce and Max came over to get some wood.  Bill helped them.  It was so nice seeing them and getting to congratulate Bruce in person.  I am blessed with amazing son in laws who are like sons!

Bill mentored Alec.  I sent him a text to see if he wanted to eat when he gets home, because he was at a restaurant.  Well I accidentally sent it to Adam.  Adam answered, Yeah.  Then he said, I don't have time tho.  We have to go to youth group.  I laughed and then sent him a text letting him know it was supposed to be a text for Papa.

Bill and I played 3-13.  I won -3 to 18, even though threw away a card twice and picked it up saying it went to his set (one was a wild card too).  Big * goes next to his score.  I asked him if those rules go for me too.  He said it depends on the situation.   Whaaaaat???????

Tues., 4/26/22, Went to lunch with Lisa, We sold our big outdoor table and chair set, Went to prayer

We sold our old table and chair set, so set up the one we just got.   Can't wait til warm weather.  Comfy and no cushions to deal with
My spring flowers were so beautiful today.  I covered them tonight to try to protect them from frost.
Lunch with my sweet friend, Lisa today
Ally and Hailey had to dissect a fetal pig today in class.  Yikes!  And I thought dissecting a frog was bad.

Bill cut up an old hose, then took all the garbage out.  We read our Bibles.  Vikki sent me a good worship song to listen to.  I just drank a protein drink for breakfast since I was picking my friend up for lunch at 11:30.  I filled the bird feeders since I saw it was going to rain later.  Bill and I hauled the big table and chair set we are selling into the garage.  We set up the table and chairs we just got in it its place on the deck. I had a nice talk with Melissa.  She  and Jack aren't feeling well, so spent time praying for them.

Lisa and I went to Timbers for lunch.  There was one other booth taken and then us in our booth.  The workers all wore masks.   We ate and had a nice visit.  I dropped her off at her house and then headed home.  We both took lots of food home.

The person came and bought our old table and chairs and picked them up.  The daughter of a nice couple at church bought it so we gave her a deal.  We had a lot of good years out of that furniture and it is still a very nice set.

I went to intercessory prayer at our church in the evening.  On Good Friday, everyone went to different prayer stations.  One was a huge paper where everyone could write their prayer requests, praises etc.  Two of these papers got filled.  We divided them up tonight and got together in groups of 2 to pray over each need.  There were a few praises, but mostly prayer requests.  It was a powerful time of prayer as we prayed and spoke God's Word over each need.  We are expecting God to move in a mighty way.

Talked to my Melissa again when I got home.  She sent me the picture Hailey and Ally sent her while they were in class with their pig they had to dissect.  Pretty good for best friends since preschool to get to do that together.  I don't think I could do it.  I know I sure wouldn't want to.

Kit Kat caught her 6th mouse today.  No mice will be able to make it in the house with her outside. I gave her treats and some good attention for being such a good kitty.

Texted with Adam, Melissa, Vikki and Kimmy today.  Kimmy said her and Jacob have stuffy noses and she has a headache so we are praying for them too.  Praying for everyone else in our family to stay healthy.

Monday, 4/25/22, HAPPY 27TH BIRTHDAY MELISSA! WE LOVE YOU!

Bill holding Melissa the day she was born.  We were so happy!

Happy Birthday Melissa!  We love you and we are thankful to have a daughter as loving and kind as you.

Me, Melissa and Bill (Bill wanted to take a selfie)

It was a gloomy day which made me feel tired.  Did our regular morning routine.  The weather app said it was supposed to get in the 60's, but 55 is the highest I saw it get, with no sunshine today.  I got my refrigerator cleaned out, but didn't do much else.   Bill and I watched a 2 hour movie called Jesus Music.  It was very good and brought back lots of memories.  It is awesome to see how Christian music has gotten so worshipful today and back to the Heart of Worship as Michael W. Smith sang.  So thankful for Billy Graham and how he helped the young people as they wanted to worship God.

After the movie, we went to Melissa's to celebrate her Birthday.  We ate burgers and hot dogs, then had delicious birthday cake and ice cream.  We all hung out on their back deck.  Bruce got Melissa a new swing for the deck, so we got to try that out.  Very comfy and nice. Melissa's peonies are way taller than mine are, and her raspberries have some leaves already.  Mine are behind as they are only buds.  We had fun with Melissa, Bruce and the kids.  Bill had to go to an elder's meeting at church, so he left early.   I stayed another half hour, then came home.

Melissa and I had some long chats today and Vikki and I face timed and talked a few times. Eli texted me Hi today.  He's cute!  I saw heard more than that from him.  Didn't text with Adam til bedtime.  We did our good morning and good night then.  I told him I missed him all day!  Got a beautiful picture of an oriole from Lela today.  I can't wait til they get here.
