Vikki came over to drop off lids to some totes she gave me. She said hi to Marie and Roy and then took this picture for us
I got up early so I would be ready and have the coffee made when the girls came. They came a little later today. We visited, drank coffee and ate blueberry muffins. Vikki brought some storage containers for Bird feed I asked her to pick up for me. She and Kimmy have some like it. I filled those while the girls looked for Bill’s dog tags with him. I found my dad’s, but we haven’t found Bill’s yet. We ate veggie Lasagna and Mac and cheese for lunch.
After lunch Kimmy started cleaning out one of my kitchen cupboards with mostly canned goods in it. Vikki and I assisted in getting rid of stuff and bagging up what was going in the trash, Lots of stuff went bye bye. Kimmy pulled the slide out shelves out and washed them, then organized the cupboards nicely when she put the stuff back in. Vikki helped me make Cabbage buns. I spread out the dough and she put the spoonful of burger, cabbage and onion on. Then I wrapped the dough around it. We made 2 batches. I told Vikki she could take the extra meat mixture home and make some. She stopped at Good Times Pizza and picked up dough so she would have everything she needed. Vikki said they were so good. Kimmy cleaned out the pantry cupboard while we baked them. She organized it so well and also got rid of lots of old stuff. I will have to do better at keeping up with using things before they expire. I sure appreciated those sweet daughters today and all they did for me.
They left early and went to some stores and also picked Peyton and Isaac up from school.
Marie and Roy came over around 3, after her doctor appt. We visited, then we ate cabbage buns, salad, applesauce and then had banana cream pudding for dessert. Roy and Marie brought the pie. It sure was yummy! We sat and visited lots afterward. Before they left, we prayed over Marie, then we prayed over Roy, then Roy prayed over Bill and I. He’s 89 and sure is a prayer warrior. So is Marie. They are huge blessings in our life. It was cute when Roy said a couple of times to Marie that they should leave, and Marie said we aren’t in any hurry. Then Roy would just laugh so cute. He reminds me a lot of my dad. So easy going and a fun personality. Roy took Marie’s wheelchair out, then I walked next to Marie so she could hold on to my arm if she needed to.
It was a fun day and with the girls here, lots got done. I am blessed with family and friends who are like family.
