Bill and I slept in this mornng. We were blessed with a gift card in the mail so we decided to go out to breakfast. We stopped at dad's so I could check on him and bring in his newspaper. We asked him to go with us, but he had already eaten. Bill told him he could come and get a piece of banana bread and a drink with us so he decided that was a good idea. Bill had eggs, pancakes and sausage. I had blueberry pancakes with blueberry topping...yummy!!!. Dad saw cherry bread so ordered that with orange juice. We had a nice visit. Went to a sporting goods store so they could put in for their turkey permits. We dropped dad off and decided to go get Bill some insulated underwear so he would be warm when we went to the snowfest. We also went to look around at Circuit City. At about 4:45 we dropped off venison and potatoes made in the pressure cooker to grandpa and headed to Melissa and Bruce's house. Hailey's and Melissa's haircuts looked really cute.
We headed for the snowfest. We were all bundled up as it was a very cold day.
We walked to the play area first so the kids could see the petting zoo and ride the horses. I took some pictures on Melissa's camera of the kids riding. It was too cold to dig my camera out so I only took pictures in the fudge shop. The kids were so cute and well behaved. Jack was a good baby like usual. We headed to the warming tent, but it was so packed we couldn't get the stroller in. Decided to go across the street and get something to eat there. We went in the small warming tent and ate hot dogs (crisp hot dog buns from sitting out) and drank hot chocolate. Then we headed for the fudge shop. We watched them making fudge and then saw the fireworks starting. The guys took Hailey and Max outside to watch and Melissa and I stayed inside with Jack and watched through the window. After a while they came in and watched inside with us. Jack was intently watching the fireworks. He was so cute. As we were walking we saw the hot air baloons lighting up. They were beautiful. We headed back to the car, stopping at the bakery
on our way and getting some cookies. While we were walking Max said, Can we get some hot chocolate to warm us up, can we. I love the way he talks. It was such a fun night even though it was so cold.

Love all the pictures you took. We had a great time. Yes, it sure was a cold night. Burrr. I think this was the coldest it's been yet for the ice festival. That was the best hot chocolate I've ever had. It sure helped warm us up.
