Got up early and got ready before the girls and kids got here.  Vikki, Isaac and his friend Mason got here first.  Kimmy and Eli got here shortly after.  Isaac and Mason had a great time playing with remote cars/trucks.  His friend was great to have here.  He was very polite and so nice.  I was glad Isaac made a point to invite Eli to go outside with them.  I made turkey chili for tonight at Bruce and Melissa’s.  I made strawberries dipped in chocolate too.
Vikki cut Eli’s hair which Eli was pretty happy about.  She did a great job.  Kimmy, Vikki and Eli went to some Thrift Shops to find a costume for Eli.  Isaac and Mason stayed with me and had fun playing ping pong and hanging out in the basement.  I made them a pizza and they ate it all and also had some powdered sugar donuts.  I made sure they saved some for Eli and whoever else wanted some.  They ate the whole pizza.  Good to see Isaac eating better now.  I made a chocolate sheet cake for tonight too.  Isaac helped Bill get the hard top back on the Jeep.  So thankful for grandkids who are willing helpers.  It was Isaac’s idea too.

When Vikki, Kimmy and Eli got back, I put another pizza in and we had that.  Eli had eaten at McDonalds so wasn’t very hungry and neither was Vikki.  I ate one piece.  Kimmy ate some of the chicken chili I made.  We all enjoyed the chocolate covered strawberries.
It was funny because last time I made them I cut the stem off and dipped them in chocolate and used toothpicks.  Kenzie came and told me I should leave the stem on to hold them by.  This time I did that, and Eli told me I should have taken the stem off and dipped the whole things in chocolate and used toothpicks.  So funny!

Kimmy and Vikki worked on sewing and fixing Eli’s outfit.  Bill and I went and filled the Motorhome the rest of the way, and put gas in the Jeep.  Between a $1 off today at Meijer and the other day at Kroger, we saved $65 in gas for the motorhome.  I love deals.
When I went to move the Jeep and follow Bill out of the gas station, I saw a blinker on.  Then I noticed it was the hazard lights.  I called Bill because I couldn’t see where to turn them off.  I had only touched the blinker as far as I knew.  I decided to just drive with them on.  When we got a few miles up the road, Bill called and told me there was a row of buttons down by the cup holder.  Well I didn’t see any hazard button.  I am not used to driving the Jeep, so I decided to just drive until I got caught by a light.  That took 3 lights.  I still couldn’t see the button.  Someone got ahead of me and put their hazard lights on so I would know mine were on lol.  If they only knew.  I was happy to turn on our road and pull in the driveway.  I turned my phone flashlight on and saw the button for the hazard lights right under the heater knob between the radio knobs.  I was so happy to turn them off and go in the house.

Kimmy was just finishing up, then Vikki and the boys left.  A few minutes later Kimmy and Eli left.  Bill and I read our Bibles, then took a short nap before going to Melissa and Bruce’s.  We got ready, packed things in the car and went to their house.  I gave all the grandkids their candy bars, then went in the house and hung out with Bruce, Hailey, Max and Peggy.  Melissa and Katie came in shortly after too.  We all tried Hailey apple cookies and pumpkins bread.  She is the best baker.  Both were delicious.  All the kids went and got candy in the neighborhood.  Bruce got things out to put in the chili, and we ate before the kids got back.  They all came back at different time.  Kenzie, Travis and Rehvyn were first.  Rody came later and ate with us.  Peyton went with Hannah and her other church friends.  We missed her lots, but glad she was hanging out with church friends.  We were happy Jacob came home to spend time with us.  Got lots of hugs.  Rehvyn did a great job and was super cute.  He loved playing with Aunt Missy’s toys afterwards and having Hailey play with him.  Everyone ate and we all had fun hanging out together.

Thursday, 10/20/25, Did laundry, went to Meijer and got groceries, Melissa brought Evan over, Evan helped us with outside stuff, Bill took Evan to Culver’s then home,

I made two eggs and then had them with my leftovers from Nori’s yesterday.
Kit Kat keeping her eye on me while I ate breakfast
Evan attacking the corn plants....he got them all out and loaded in yard waste  containers
Evan with his big cotton candy lol, I mean all the stuff that covered the grass seed Bill planted
Taking care of plants that are all done with
Lot of Yard Waste Cans and bags and the leaves haven’t even started to fall yet

Bill and Evan did a great job putting stuff away for winter.

Looks like Papa has shrunk

Evan having dinner at Culver's with Papa.

I got up at 7:30 and started the laundry and took Kit Kat’s food outside.  I put on some good worship music.  I made a couple of eggs and warmed up my left overs.  Still so much food and it tasted so good.  Bill got up at 8 and I helped him make the bed.  Then he drank his protein drink and we both read out Bibles and devotions.  I enjoyed my coffee.  I finished Isaiah today.  Such a great book of the Bible.
Much to learn from it each time I read it.

Kenzie FaceTimed us.  Rehvyn was helping pull the clothes basket and picking up clothes and putting them in it.  He sure loves helping and does a great job.  Her phone was dying, so she had to go.  I went through my 2 months worth of coupons for Meijer, made my list out and then went and got groceries.  I was very thankful to be able to use my Handicap Permit for the first time.  It took a long time shopping with coupons, and me walking a little slower.  I did great though and made it through with out too much bad pain.  I took a couple of Tylenol before I left home so that took the edge off.  I had the nicest lady checking me out and also the guy bagging was very nice.  I earned the Meijer M Perks I needed for Bill to get $1 off to put gas in the motorhome.  Yay.  We have to get it tomorrow.  Bill carried everything in and I put stuff away.  I sure am thankful for his help.  It didn’t take long at all and there were a lot of groceries.  This is the first time I have gotten them since before we went to Arkansas.

We both took a short nap when we were done.  At 3:45, Melissa brought Evan over to help us with putting away the outside stuff, pulling corn husks out and emptying planters on the deck, plus raking and picking up the stuff on the newly planted grass.  I also had stuff for him to hose down and then haul to where I needed it.  He carried a tub of outside stuff down to the basement for me and also some lawn ornaments.  It sure saved me steps.  Melissa and I had a nice visit while she was here.  Then she had to leave so she could clean her house.  Evan and Papa put all the deck stuff away and the outside wooden swings.  We sure were thankful for his help.  Papa took him to Culver’s and then took him home afterwards.  Bill called me to see if I wanted him to bring  me anything, but I was full because I ate an egg salad sandwich.  It is so sweet that he always checks though.  I cleaned the downstairs bathroom, plus the toilet in the upstairs bathroom.  Working on getting the house nice and clean so we can have Fred and Lourdes over to play cards.

My Christmas Cactus is getting buds on it already.  Yay!  I love watching it this time of year.
Bill got home and we relaxed.  We each had a bowl of ice cream with bananas, cashews and chocolate chips.

Wed., 10/29/25, Vikki had her orthopedic appt. this morning, Went to Orthopedic Appt., turned absentee ballots for special election in, picked up Melissa, went to Nori’s for breakfast, went to Sue’s, picked Isaac up from school, went to Bible Study,

Bill, Me and Melissa at Nori’s for breakfast
Isaac and I at Culver’s...He was a hungry boy, which I am glad about.

We were sleeping and all of a sudden the bright bedroom ceiling light came on.  I said to Bill,  do you have to have that big bright light on.  He said it’s 8 o’clock.  Then he looked at his watch and said oops it’s only 6.  We went back to sleep.  Then I had my alarm set for 8 a.m. and at 7:50, he gets up and says get up, it’s 8 o’clock.  I asked him if he could just let me sleep til my alarm went off.  He was pretty nervous we would be late for my appointment which wasn’t until 10 a.m.  I ended up just getting up and getting ready.  Vikki called me and her appointment only took 10 minutes and went well.  She got a steroid injection and he told her it should take the pain away in a couple of days.  Then she will be able to do her therapy better which will at last get her arm back to normal.  I talked to her later and it was already helping with the pain.  Praise God!

My appointment went good.  Everyone there was nice and caring, from the lady who took information down, to the person who did X’rays, the PA and the check out girl.  The PA was super nice and super smart and explained everything very well and very thoroughly  She showed us the X’rays and CT Scan results and said she can’t believe I am walking without a cane.  I know that’s because of all of the prayers.  I definitely need a hip replacement but they are booked until February.  She works with a doctor who is pretty new to our area and said he is a specialist and is really good.  She is trying to see if I can get in to him sooner and if he takes my insurance.  We are praying if he’s the one who is supposed to do it, God opens the door and if not he shuts the door.  She gave me a bag with lots of stuff to read up on and some things I will need after surgery in it.

We dropped off our absentee ballots and then picked up Melissa and went to Nori’s.  Melissa has never been there before.  We all had the same thing, but I had ham instead of bacon.  It was delicous and big portions.  If was fun being together.  We took Melissa home afterwards, then came home.  We were both tired, from getting up so much in the early morning, that we took naps.  It sure felt good.

I went to Sue’s and took her some spaghetti.  She was so happy to have food.  She isn’t cooking right now because she’s so down.  I sat and visited with her until I had to go pick Isaac from school.  I asked him if he wanted to go anywhere and he picked Culver’s. He ordered himself and ordered a kids hamburger meal, pretzel balls, and a concrete mixer.   Usually he doesn’t want hardly anything.  I’m glad he was hungry.  I sure loved spending time with this grandson I love.   I had a free sundae that was yummy.

He stayed with us until Vikki picked him up on her way home from Kimmy’s.  It was so nice having him.  Vikki had to leave right away and I was working on the computer and had to finish, so I got hugs and said goodbye.  Bill mowed the grass today and also spliced two wires and got the gazebo lights working again.  I’m so happy about that.  He is too.

I finished what I was doing and then went to Bible Study for our last class and party.  It was fun and we even got to make pretty bookmarks.

Joan had turkey, ham, two kinds of cheese all cut up, plus a veggie tray and a fruit tray.  It was fun talking and snacking.

I called Stacie on my way home because she had called to check on me.  Then I called Marie because she wanted to know how my appointment went too.  I called my sister, Brenda, earlier in the day to check up on her after her surgery and to let her know how my appointment went.  I sent her the X-ray and the report, because she used to be an X-ray technician.  She sent me a text after seeing it and said, Yikes, No wonder you hurt.

Vikki said earlier after I let her and Kimmy know, mom, I didn’t even know you were in that much pain because you always just pray and trust the Lord.  I like to do that and don’t like to say too much about pain although this has been awful.  I should be worse according to those at my doctor’s appt. though, so I am really thankful to God.

Tfues., 10/28/25, Worked on Bible Study, took motorhome in to Camping World, Stopped at Butter Crust Bakery, washed outside stuff to be packed away for winter,

Beautiful colors on our drive today
We covered the pond yesterday to keep leaves out.  Today I picked up all of the lawn ornaments that need to be packed away for winter
All clean and drying in the sun

Got ready and read my Bible and worked on my Bible Study Lesson.  Then packed us an egg salad sandwich and come Belvita wafers to snack during out trip to take the camper in to Camping World.  They are winterizing it and also putting the replacement shade over the driver’s side slide out.  Bill dumped the tanks when we got there, while I went in and waited for customer service to wait on me.  Bill came in just as I was being helped.  I drove separate, so we took my car and headed back home.  We decided to stop at Butter Crust Bakery in Bridgeport to get a donut.  I got a nutty donut and Bill got a glazed donut.  YUM!
We got home and Bill brought the garbage can and yard waste cans in that were emptied.  I worked on washing all of the small tables under the gazebo on the deck and putting them away, then getting all of the small yard/garden things that had to be packed away for winter washed and drying in the sun.  I also washed the ash vacuum reusable cloth bag out and hung it to dry.  Messy, but nice to have done and be able to use a clean one.

I came in and Bill was napping.  I reclined for a while, but didn’t nap.  It was nice to get a little rest though.

I made spaghetti for dinner, then afterward, we went back to Camping World and picked up the camper.  They did a great job and our Service Rep. saved us $400 in Discounts.  That sure made us happy and was a blessing.

Bill went to Kroger and got gas for the motorhome for $1.99 a gallon.  We had a dollar off up to 35 gallons.  Love saving money!!!!  I went to Sam’s and got gas.  It was $2.82 for me.
I went to Hallmark too, and picked up a Pastor & Wife Appreciation Card.  I had been looking while we were on our trip, but no one had them.  Now to get it to church before the end of October.  Our Pastor and Joan are both huge blessings.

I came home and looked the motorhome over.  Everything looked good, so we put the slide outs in and locked it up.

I worked some more on my Bible Study.  Tomorrow is my Orthopedic Doctor Appt.  Bill is going to go with me.  Will be glad to finally find out what is best to do. Praying for wisdom for the doctor and a good report!

Monday, 10/27/25, Met Maddy at Olive Garden, pulled up invasive plants by fish pond, cut down more plants and filled Yard Waste cans, Bill went to Elder’s meeting, Melissa came to visit

I didn’t take any pictures today.  I do have a cute worship video Vikki sent me of Rehvyn at church yesterday.  No wonder God says to be like a little child.

Bill and I did our Bible reading and prayer books.  At noon, I met Maddy at Olive Garden.  We had a delicious lunch and a great visit.  Summer was so crazy busy this year that this is the first time we’ve gotten together since they came up to the campground for the 4th of July fireworks.  Lots of travel for us and lots of friends going through things who needed help.  It was so good to get back together.  She is 6 months pregnant now and looking beautiful.  We had lots to catch up on.  She was part of my homework, because in my Daring Joy Bible Study, I was supposed to share what God was doing in a situation I prayed about, with someone and hers was the name I wrote down to share it with.

I came home and Bill wasn’t home yet from going to pick up large water jugs for the cooler from Shays.  I decided to nap until he got home.  He got home and relaxed for a while, then we went outside.  I put the laundry I had washed back in the camper and took a few things out.  We put in the slide outs too.  We are taking it in to be winterized tomorrow and also for them to put a new shade over the slide out on the driver’s side.

Then I started cutting down more plants and Bill came out to do the bigger ones with his hedge cutter.  He helped pick up the stuff and put it in yard waste cans.  Only have a few more things to do and tomorrow will finish up putting the last stuff on the deck away and some garden decorations also.  I dug up the rest of the invasive plant Kimmy had given me.  She didn’t know it was invasive and she had to did up hers too.  What a job!  So happy it is done.  I dug a few other things out too.  I didn’t take any pictures of it before and after.

Bill had to go to an Elder’s meeting.  I warmed up my left overs from Olive Garden for dinner.  Melissa came and visited me when she dropped Jack off for fencing.  We had a chocolate Mocha Cafe and a piece of Walnut Apple Bread toasted.  She really liked it too.  We had a short visit, but a nice visit.  I love when she stops over!

I FaceTimed with Kenzie and Vikki today.  Kenzie was making bread.  Rehvyn was pushing keys on the computer, moving his high chair around and eating fries after dipping them in ketchup.  Vikki didn’t need me to pick her up and take het to work this morning.  Rody took her car in and she had a big screw in the tire.  They fixed it for nothing, praise God.  They didn’t need her to work today she said.

Sunday, October 26, 2025

Sunday, 10/26/25, Went to early service, taught Sunday School, went to prayer between services, went to second service, JW Ruff preaching today, Bill took Max to gun show in Midland, I took a nice nap, Bill called for me to meet them at Culver’s, I went to Vikki’s, Bill and Max practiced target shooting, Came home and Bill and I had some Apple bread toast,

Beautiful ride home from church this morning
Got to see my beautiful Peyton today!  Yay!
Apple Walnut bread...so delicous!

We got ready and went to the early service at church.  Talked to a couple who have been coming for 4 weeks and a girl who’s been coming for 3 weeks.  Lots of new people seeing the need to return to church.  God is moving!  Good worship, then I went back and taught my K-1st Sunday School Class.  Had 9 kids in the early service.  It was a good class even though my helper couldn’t come because her daughter had to go to the hospital.  Praying for them.

I went into prayer and we prayed for the first service and those who were at it and also prayed for the second service and for God to move.  Everyone laid hands on me and prayed for me for healing of my hip and also for a good appointment on Wednesday and for the doctor to have wisdom.  I sure appreciate praying friends.

We stayed for the second service.  I love being able to be in service instead of watching on tv.  JW Ruff who used to go to our church gave the message.  He moved to a different state, went to Seminary and got his Masters degree.  His message was really good and straight from the Word of God.  The second service was packed.  Worship was awesome with many coming up to the altar to worship.  After church, I talked to Brittany and told her I have been praying for her and will be praying Wed. when she has a C section and has her 4th baby.  She is a great mom and her hubby is a great dad.  I visited with some others while Bill was visiting, then we left.  We got home and I made Bill a sandwich and he headed to pick Max up to go to Midland to a gun show.  I took a much needed nap because I didn’t sleep from 2 a.m. on.  I finally came out and tried sleeping in the Lazy Boy, but by the time I got kind of comfy, it was time to get up.

Bill called me to come to Culver’s and join him and Max for dinner.  Of course I said I would.  When I got there I just ordered an Olive Burger.  Max came up to me and told me not to get fries, because I could have the rest of Papa’s.  I told the girl that my husband was here and asked if I could get his military discount.  I was going to have Max get Bill, but the manager gave it to me right away which was so nice.  Then I asked for a cup for water, and accidentally put pop in it without thinking.  I went back to the counter and tried to pay for it, but the girl told me no, it was fine for me to just have it.  They are so nice there.  We ate and had a nice visit with Max.  He got an A in his class on writing that he’s taking at Delta even though he doesn’t really like the class.  I’m glad he still did great.  I’m very proud of Max.  We all left and they headed to our house and I headed to Vikki’s.  I sat outside on Vikki’s front porch in her comfy chair while she finished washing the gate she found by the side of the road by Kenzie’s house.  She was trying to decide whether to keep it or sell it.  After she got it washed, we went inside.  Peyton came and gave me a big hug and sat with us for a while.  Rody and Isaac were gone.  We had fun hanging out.  We prayed for Hailey’s car to start as she was babysitting and it wasn’t starting.  She had a baby she was babysitting with her and was trying to go to church and take it to child care for the parents.  She was calling a friend to have some take them.  Bruce tried to help her get it going on FaceTime, but he ended up going there to see if he could fix it.

When I got home, I made Bill and I each a piece of Apple Bread toast.  Yum!  I worked on the blog.

Vikki fixed Peyton’s hair really cute tonight.  She is so talented!

Saturday, 10/25/25, Left to meet Faith Riders at 9:45, rode to St. John’s Cider Mill, West Branch chapter came there too, Fun time hanging out with friends enjoying good food, great cider and donuts and great fellowship,

We met at Meijer, and visited until everyone was there and it was takeoff time
Some beautiful color still in places along the way
Elsie the cow on the left
Ron and Barb
There was a special place for motorcycles to park close.  A guy told us about it and then a group of people riding motorcycles came in right after us and it was our West Branch CMA chapter.  We were so happy to see each other!

Isaac Bill, me, Don and Elaine eating our yummy lunch.
Bill and I went in the cider mill and got donuts and hot apple cider.  YUM!
Isaac came and found us so we gave him our extra donut
All of CMA members got our picture by the bus....In the bus (lol) from right to left...Gary, Marie, me, Isaac, and Jerry
From left to right out of the bus Wes, Gayla, Carol, Don, Elaine, Bill, Barb, Ron, Brenda, In the green is they guy from Resurrection Riders..don’t remember his name, and then Bob is on the end.

We got ready, made our coffee, read our Bibles, then left to meet Faith Riders at 9:45. It was 38 degrees out, but it was sunny with no wind which sure helped.  The heated seats on the bike, my chaps, extra layers and warm jacket kept me very comfortable.  I wasn’t cold, but would have enjoyed having it a little warmer.  We had a great ride and saw some beautiful color.  We were happy to be able to hang out some with the West Branch chapter.  It was pretty amazing to have them pull in a minute after us.  We had no idea they were planning on going there.  We walked around, then I got a shredded chicken breast sandwich with BBQ sauce on it and Bill got a hot dog.  They gave us chips with it and yummy dill pickle slices.  We didn’t eat breakfast so it sure tasted good.  After that we went through the bakery, we went and got donuts and hot cider.  That hot cider sure warmed us up.  Isaac came upstairs and found us and enjoyed the last donut.  We went back through the bakery and bought a delicous looking loaf of apple bread.  Can’t wait to try it.  Then we went and sat with Wes and Gayla and talked to them for a while.  After that we all got ready and left, except Barb and Ron stayed and walked around more and were going to ride home by themselves.  It was 52 degrees out, but clouds covered the sun, so it felt about the same temperature riding as it did this morning.  Not as much color the way we rode home.  Wes and Gayla invited us to come to their house for coffee, so we followed them home.  We enjoyed our coffee and had a great visit.  It was nice to spend time with our framily again!
We rode home, and finished reading our Bible chapters for the day.  Then Bill decided to take a nap and I tried to too.  I couldn’t sleep, so warmed up some noodle casserole, then worked on my blog after that.  Vikki FaceTimed me so I could see Rehvyn climb up the slide.  He sure goes up it fast.  He sure reminds me of Kenzie when she did that.  He sure is saying words very clear now.  I especially love how he says Isaac and motorcycle.
Below was him riding his stick pony.
