Friday, 5/1/26, Took the motor home and are camping at St. Louis Church of God campground, it’s cold, 41 degrees, but our camper is very cozy, hung out with friends, the campground provided pizzas, salad and water for all of us in a warm room for free. Played two games of 3-13 and one game of dice

We tried to park on a campsite, but Bill almost got stuck.  Russ, and Sean helped us lots.  When Bill got the camper out, we went and parked on the road of the campground.  I took this out our window.  You can see the big mud rut.  The guys are talking.

I got up at 7:30, made my coffee and then put worship music on and got ready.  Packed last minute things in the camper, then loaded the motorcycle on the trailer and headed out.  When we got there, we registered.  Sean, Wendy, and their little grandson, Maverick came and greeted us.  Then we went to look for the spot we wanted.  Sean and Russ both came and were lots of help.  Bill backed in and one tire got stuck in the grass which turned to mud.  Bill and their little grandson guys unhitched the trailer and Bill took the motorcycle off.  Then Sean and Russ moved the trailer back farther.  Bill tried again but needed the trailer moved farther back.  They did that, then we all prayed and Bill got back far enough to go forward and get out of the mud.  We were very thankful!  Then we moved to one of the roads and parked on it.  We had enough hose and enough electrical cord to reach but needed a connection piece which Shawn had.  We sat and talked with Russ and Pete who planned this event.  Jim and Bev got here and parked on the road behind us.  They came and visited with us.  They have a new Yorkie puppy which was born in December. He’s so cute.  Sean and Wendy have a miniature poodle puppy the color of Wyatt.  She’s so cute too.  Makes me excited for my puppy.

Everyone left, then Bill and I started a game of 3-13. Russ came over, so we invited him in and visited in the camper where it was warm.  Bev and Jim came and knocked on our door and we all went to have free pizza.  Yum! It was so good!  They had salad too.  Marsha, Russ’s wife got here and so did 5 others from his chapter in Onaway.  Long cold ride for them.   We came back to our camper and played 2 games of 3-13 and 1 dice game. Bill won all 3.  He was pretty happy!  

We worked on our greeting message for tomorrow’s rally.  Then went night night!

Thursday, 4/30/26, Happy 15th Birthday Evan! We love you! Loaded more in the camper and mopped the floor, filled bird feeders, walked around and looked at plants, went to Bible Study, drove to St. Louis to check out campground

Happy 15th Birthday Evan!  We love you so much!

I overslept and didn’t get up in time to wish Evan Happy Birthday before he went to school.  Bummer!  It rained a little off and on today.  Did get much and only light rain.  We read our Bibles, did our prayer book together.  I studied more on my lesson for tonight’s Bible Study.

  I packed and then loaded more stuff in the camper..  Bill loaded more stuff too.  I mopped the floor after that.  I checked off my list to do before driving the motor home.  Only a couple of more last minute things to do.   The sun came out and then it was warmer out.  I went out and filled all of the bird feeder and put more suet out.  Lots of birds today and I saw my first hummingbird lots today too.  My oriole feeders were out, but today I filled jelly feeders too.  Kimmy had one yesterday, so I am hopeful I will be seeing them shortly.  I can sure see the birds lots clearer now and tell what kind they are.   More fun now! 

I washed some clothes I got at garage sales.  I hung them up on hangers to dry.  Then Bill went to pick Isaac up and spend some time with him.  Bill took him to Chick-fil-A.  I prayed, worshipped and read scripture from my lesson again.  It’s a great lesson on receiving the Holy Spirit.  I’m excited for tonight.

Bill got home.  He brought half of his chicken wrap home, and will have it later.  We got ready, got our stuff and left for Bible Study. This was such a great study.  Amanda and I joined our groups together because 2 from her group were missing.  I led the group.  We are going camping again next Thursday and Amanda is leading my class After Bible Study, we went to Melissa’s and gave her her birthday card, picked up Evans’ birthday gift that they had got me for him and then left to go check out the campground we will be staying in.  Someone had mentioned it being too wet for our motorhome.  We checked it out and Bill said it had enough good spots we would be ok.  We headed back home.  Stopped at Culver’s for a kids meal for me and chili for Bill.  We called Evan and sang to him.  He was very happy.  We were glad we had finally connected.  He’s such a fun family kid.  

I worked on my blog when I got home.  Fell asleep doing it.  Woke up at 12:30.  

Wed., 4/29/26, Did laundry, Bill went to breakfast with church guys, I cleaned and packed stuff in the camper, Bill mowed the grass

 

Lately, this is where Kit Kat sleeps.  She wakes up when I come out with her food.  Today I took a picture of her trying to get her while she was sleeping, but I bumped the window so she woke up.  

I heard Bill get up, but I decided to sleep in.  It was only about 10 minutes later that I got up.  Once I’m a wake, it’s hard to just lay there. I started a load of laundry, so I can keep it up because we are going camping Friday.  I read the Bible.  My reading for today was the book of Ephesians.  Wow is all I can say.  What a great book of the Bible.  I went over my Bible Study lesson on the Holy Spirit.  This week’s lesson is so good.  

Bill got home and started reading his Bible.  We prayed together, then he went out to mow the grass.  I worked on packing stuff for the camper.  I took a car load out to the camper and took it in and put it away.  Bill took some hanging clothes out.  

It rained on and off so we worked today between the rainy times.  We ate dinner, then I took another load out and loaded it in the camper.  Just last minute stuff needs to go in the camper now.  I pruned a Hydrangea that needed to be done before the end of April.  

Vikki was cute today and sent me a picture of her wearing her slippers to Home Depot.  She knows how to make her mom feel better lol.  She wore white slippers!  

Went over my camping list again to make sure I have everything I took out marked off the list.  A list sure makes it easier. 

 

Tues., 4/28/26, Went to Maddy’s, Went to Walmart, Cleaned camper, Bill got it dewinterized, Loaded some stuff in, walked around yard, went to Prayer

Soloman’s Seal has really spread this year

Where I planted 4 ferns last year on the side of the house, there are now 11 coming up.  Yay!

I got up at 8 and took my shower.  Did my hair and by that time, Bill was up and had taken the garbage out.  He asked me if I wanted to go out to breakfast and of course I said yes.  He let me pick, and I chose Riverside.  We each got 2 eggs, and I split my red skin potatoes with him and he shared his bacon with me.  We both had rye toast with homemade raspberry jelly.  We enjoyed watching the squirrel eating out our window.  It ate from the time we got there until we left.  Bill brought me home because he was going to Lowes and maybe some other places and I had to get to Maddy’s.  I picked up the clothes basket I left there yesterday.  I am cleaning and packing the camper and I use my clothes baskets to do that.  Brielle came downstairs to say hi to me and give me a hug.  She was so sweet.  She was eating rice snacks.  Maddy wanted me to try them, so she got the big box of them out and let me pick.  I picked Cookies and Cream.  They only have 90 calories and were super good.  

I went to Walmart after that and got Creamer and a couple of over the counter things.  

I got back home.  I vacuumed and dusted everything and ran the antifreeze out of the shower.   Bill had dewinterized rest of the camper.  He only had to do the refrigerator and would be done.  I went out and told him how to turn the refrigerator on.  It has to be on to run the water out of it. We are quite the team.  He worked in the yard some, plus finished my new hose holder.  He is amazing!

I warmed up roast, carrots and potatoes for us plus dished us up some applesauce.  It was yummy.  I went over my Bible Study lesson on the Holy Spirit.  It is going to be so amazing Thursday night!.  Then I left for Prayer group at church.  It was amazing tonight!  Lots of praying over our pastor and church family and tonight’s, tomorrow night’s and Thursday’s Bible studies on the Holy Spirit   There was a good group of us there.  Such an awesome time worshipping and praying.  

I came home and dished up a bowl of ice cream with bananas and hot fudge on it for Bill and I .  Yum!  Vikki called and said the guy came and fixed the pipe to the hot water heater.  He had to cut a piece out and replace it because when he opened the packaging a piece of plastic and stirofoam had got in the pipe and blocked the flow of water.  It is working great now, Praise God.  

           

 

Monday, 4/27/26, Went grocery shopping, made a roast dinner for Maddy and family and one for us, did laundry and had a big mess, a couple of frustrating times today, Bill hooked up the. hose on the other side of the deck

I got up early, got ready and went to Meijer and Jacks and got groceries for the dinners I’m making tonight and for our upcoming camping trip.  I also stopped at Kroger and filled my car with gas.  I’m glad I don’t have to fill it very often.  Usually only once every 3 weeks.  I came home after that and turned the oven on while I brought groceries in.  Bill was outside working hard on taking deck boards off and feeding the hose under the deck and connecting it.  I don’t like to see him getting on knees, but he was on them.  I offered him knee pads, but he didn’t want any.  When the oven was preheated, I put both roasts in to brown.  I peeled carrots and then peeled potatoes so I would have enough for Maddy and Alec and also us.  When the roasts were browned, I added potatoes, carrots and onions plus seasoning  in the roaster and put it back in the oven.  I put our roast carrots, potatoes, onions and in the power pressure cooker xl.  I couldn’t get the top to go on it even after reading up on it and watching a video.  After 20 minutes, even after praying, I called Bill in to see if he could get it on.  We have used it before so knew it worked.  He couldn’t get it either.  He read up on it and watched the video too, but no way would it go on like they said.  Finally, I took the ring off the cover and turned it upside down.  Then Bill tried it and it went on perfectly.  They need to mark it since it looks the same both ways.  I set the time for 40 minutes.  After that frustration, I went to get the close out of the washer and there were pieces all over the floor and inside the machine that looked like caked mud at first.  Then I discovered it was cardboard.  I also found a replacement part to my Dyson in the washer.  I then figured out something going into the laundry, must have knocked the little cardboard box it the replacement parts into the clothes basket, and it was full, so I just dumped the clothes hamper into the washer without seeing the box.  What a mess to clean up.  It was all over the place and worse than accidentally washing a baby diaper.  No fun to clean up.  Had to rewash clothes because little pieces were stuck all over, even after brushing and shaking each piece of laundry.  Next time I took them out they looked clean and I didn’t see any more cardboard.  After drying them, the lint screen was full of stuff but no pieces of cardboard.  The timer went off and the food was done perfectly.  The roast and potatoes were nice and brown and everything was done once the pressure came down and I could check it.  I made gravy and had Bill start eating because he had an Elder’s meeting to go to.  Then I dished Maddy’s up and made gravy for them, packed everything in containers and also packed M & M cookies, and a jar of applesauce, then headed to her new house.  She carried the clothes basket with all the food upstairs.  I talked to Mason for a while.  He was saying hi and was talking so cute to me.  I took a quick tour to see part of the house.  I will see the rest tomorrow when I go back.  I had to get back to eat and pack our food in the refrigerator.  After that I washed the dishes that had to be hand washed and cleaned up the kitchen.  I went out and locked the camper, because Bill said he forgot.  I locked the door, because Bill said he had forgot before he went to the meeting.  

I read my Bible after that.  Then Bill got home and he read his.  We did our prayer book and devotion.  Then I talked to Melissa a long time and then I talked to Vikki for a long time.  Melissa told me about a bad accident on Gratiot and 46.  A semi hauling grain tipped over an spilled all over the road.  At least, two other vehicles were hit, one was crunched really bad.  Melissa and I prayed for the people involved.  Hailey was leaving to go back to college and had to detour around it.  I sure am glad she wasn’t in it. Thank the Lord!

I talked to Bill about the Elder’s meeting and went over some stuff, then started working on my blog.  

 

Sunday, 4/26/26, Went to church, awesome service, Met Lew and Cindy and rode motorcycles to Cass City, Went to Thumbs up for Christ Chapter meeting at Nick’s Oven, Stopped at Roy and Marie’s on ur way home,

Don ordered a strawberry shortcake at Nick’s Oven and it was so huge!  That’s what he got instead of a meal.  Jerry is really staring at it!

Lew leading the meeting.  He did a great job.  This is the first Chapter in Michigan.  It started 45 years ago and Fran, the lady that is in the red two down from Bill, and her husband, who passed away last year, were the ones that started it.  That’s my big plate of food.  I could only eat a third of it.  Bill got Salisbury steak, mashed potatoes and green beans and his portions were really big too and great homemade food.  YUM!

We are so blessed how God watches over our grandchildren as they seek Him.

We got ready and went to church.  We drove separately because Bill is staying for both services, but I am staying for just the first one.  I have been gone so much for the past three days and will be gone most of the day today, so need to get a few things that have to be done, done.  Worship was absolutely amazing and the Holy Spirit moved in an awesome way.  Even two on the worship team were on their knees bowing before the Lord, and many were up at the altar worshipping God.  We know the enemy, Satan,  didn’t like it because the equipment didn’t work to have it online.  Pastor said there is some video of it that he will post this week.  What an awesome time of worship and then many came up for prayer too.  I prayed for Sophie, a young girl who Bill and I had prayed for before with her fiancé.  Bill prayed with a guy who was so moved by the Holy Spirit that he broke out crying.  I talked with some people, then left and came home.  Bill said the second service was just as amazing.  I am so thankful for all God is doing. 

We got ready and left to meet Lew and Cindy at Kroger’s in Bay City.  She was on her new Harley Softail.  It’s silver like Lew’s and they looked great riding together.  We rode the back roads to Cass City and it was a lot warmer than yesterday’s ride.  So fun!  We got to the restaurant and had the back room.  We ordered our food and it was delicious.  

The meeting went very well.  Afterwards, we rode back with Lew, Cindy, Don and Jerry.  When we got by Roy and Marie’s, Bill asked me if I wanted to stop and I said yes.  They were happy to see us.  We had such a nice visit.  Marie was using her hand she hasn’t used for quite some time.  The injection she had really worked well.  Very thankful.   Roy came out and looked at our motorcycle.  He was really interested in it.  He is such a nice man.  He just turned 91 this year and is pretty amazing and has a great memory. 

We came home and I worked on some changes Cindy needed in order to make up our double sided information cards for our State Rally.  I sent her the changes as soon as I had them done and she said she would make them for us.  

We read our Bibles, did our prayer books/devotions.  I talked to Melissa for quite a while and talked to Kimmy.  Kimmy sent me the Prom pictures of Adam and Grace.  She also got a great review on a trinket holder she made.  She just put some on her Etsy page.  She and Jared make beautiful pottery.   

I talked to Laicey and she was having a sad day.  I prayed for her and she had her smile back afterwards.  She is a sweet friend.

Waiting in line for breakfast at the Maple Syrup Festival.  The line started outside, then curved down one hall and back up that hall, then back around a corner and finally reached the breakfast room.  The line moved pretty fast though.

 I texted Melissa happy birthday right away.  We left at 8:30 to go meet Faith Riders for our ride this morning.  No one was there, so bill called Wes and found out we were a half hour early.  We went to Tim Horton’s for coffee and a donut and sat next to a couple that Bill worked with the husband.  They were such a nice couple and we really enjoyed talking with them.  Two more retirees from their work came in and talked with us too.  We left after we finished our coffee and met with our friends from Faith Riders.  We were all dressed warm.  I was sure thankful for heated seats on our bike.  It was a good ride and I didn’t get cold.  I listened to the America Reads the Bible readings for today.  Today is the last day.  It sure has been wonderful.  When we got there I found out Bill had been listening too.  We ate breakfast, then walked around and looked at all the crafts.  I got to give one girl who made beautiful jewelry one of the clip on angels and talked to her about God for a few minutes.  She was so sweet.  She said she was going to clip it on her purse right away.  Bill, John and I left before the rest, because Bill and I had to go to Jackson for Al and Lucy’s Chili Cookoff, auction and drawing for Run for the Son.  We sure had a fun time and came home with lots of stuff.  Our name got drawn lots.  They had some great chili there, plus potato soups and hotdogs.  Lots of desserts too.  We had fun visiting with friends, and had an opportunity to pray for Beth’s soon to be born grandson.  She sat by Bill and started talking and Bill told her I was a prayer warrior too.  I told her how God took scar tissue out of our daughter, Melissa’s lungs.  That’s when she asked us to pray.  God sure gives us lots of opportunities and He sure does do lots of healings and miracles.  What a joy to serve Him.  After the auction and drawing for prizes, we left for home.  We got back to Saginaw around 9 p.m., so I called Melissa and she wanted us to stop over so I could taste her birthday cake.  Bill didn’t want to try it because it had cream cheese in it.  It was so scrumptious!  Visited for a few minutes with Bruce and Melissa.  Got to see Max too, but forgot to take a picture.  Left after I ate my piece of cake because they had to get ready to go pick up Jack and take him to his school after prom party.  

We came home and Vikki called to say someone shot at the hotel the White House Correspondents Dinner.  I turned the news on and we watched what happened.  God protected once again.  So thankful the Agent that was shot had a bullet proof vest on and was ok.  Thankful for all the Secret Service and Police who did their jobs very well, thinking of others and not themselves.  So sad we have this kind of thing going on in our country.  

Talked to Vikki a few times today, and Rehvyn and also Melissa.  Texted with Hailey.

Friday, 4/24/26, Kimmy and I went to garage sales, Vikki picked up Rehvyn and met us later, went to garage sales til after 3 when it started pouring,

I bought a potty chair that Vikki found at a garage sale.  Rehvyn didn’t have any accidents but used the potty the whole time we shopped.  What a big boy!

Got up early and got ready to go to garage sales again.  Vikki called and said she was picking up Rehvyn and would meet us later at the garage sales.  Kimmy called and was on her way, so I waited about 15 minutes and left to meet her.  Thankful she drove again today.  She does such a great job.  We went to some garage sales and found some things.  I found a firetruck for Rehvyn for only 25 cents that I knew he would like.  We shopped for about and hour and then went to Pat’s and met Vikki and Rehvyn and put his carseat in the van.  We all had so much fun going to garage sales and Rehvyn was so cute and fun.  We found stuff all day, especially Vikki.  We found some new subdivisions to go to.  We told Melissa about them.  She, Bruce and Hailey were shopping today. We called and texted each other a few times.  It was a beautiful sunny day in the 70’s.  The subdivisions we walked through were so beautiful.  What an enjoyable day.  We ate lunch at Leamon’s.  Kimmy made us sandwiches for us again, and we also had chips, string cheese and Twinkies, clementine oranges and other snacks if we wanted any.  We used the porta John and then went shopping more.  Vikki found more good stuff.  People started putting their stuff for garage sales away because there was a storm coming in about 20 minutes.  We rode around trying to find a garage sale we went to that had a tie that Eli liked when Kimmy sent him a picture.  We finally found it after turning around once, and Vikki went to look for it and it was already sold.  We went to go back to Vikki’s car, so Kimmy could just head home and Vikki could take me to my car.  We had to wait a while to turn in and just as we parked in the parking lot, it started pouring so hard.  Kimmy got an umbrella, I put my sweatshirt on so I would have a hood, and Vikki said she didn’t need anything.  Vikki got the car seat in and kept it dry.  Then Kimmy carried the umbrella over Rehvyn to keep him dry.  By the time I ran my stuff that was in the front seat and a couple of things from the back, to Vikki’s car, I was plenty wet.  Vikki was soaked, and I don’t know how wet Kimmy was because she got in her van.  Vikki got her shower we said and laughed.  She Itst had a new hot water heater put in today and if it didn’t get put in, was coming to take a shower here.  

It poured more but kind of let up when I got out of my car.  I didn’t get any wetter.  We left the parking lot.  There was a couple of cars trying to turn on to the main road, so I went to the stop light. I got to my house about a minute after Vikki.  She pulled in the garage because it was raining medium out.  I went in and helped her and take my stuff in the house.  It didn’t take long.  They left and as they were pulling onto our road, they saw a snapping turtle.  She yelled to tell me about it.  

I put things away, then started making chicken trips,  Vikki found two cute pillows today, so she yelled and let me know so I could watch for Kit Kat to make sure she didn’t try to get it.  I FaceTimed with Melissa and Hailey.  Hailey made her an absolutely beautiful birthday cake layered and with beautiful fruit on the top.  I told her to send me a picture so I will post it on here if she does.  Tomorrow is her birthday!  What a blessing she is to me, her family and many.  I showed Hailey the dress I got her for $1.  It is beautiful.  Vikki and Kimmy liked it too.  Hailey liked it.  Kimmy called.  I had sent her a picture of a leather necklace that we went back for Eli, but didn’t find.  It was my dad’s.  I told Eli he could have it.  

I listened to the Bible being read til 9:15 and then worshipped with an awesome worship couple.  Then prayed at the end with them.  So awesome!  Thank You Lord!

Finished my blog and got ready for bed.  Getting up early tomorrow to go with Faith Riders to Shepherd.
