| Bill, Me and Melissa at Nori’s for breakfast |
 |
Isaac and I at Culver’s...He was a hungry boy, which I am glad about.
We were sleeping and all of a sudden the bright bedroom ceiling light came on. I said to Bill, do you have to have that big bright light on. He said it’s 8 o’clock. Then he looked at his watch and said oops it’s only 6. We went back to sleep. Then I had my alarm set for 8 a.m. and at 7:50, he gets up and says get up, it’s 8 o’clock. I asked him if he could just let me sleep til my alarm went off. He was pretty nervous we would be late for my appointment which wasn’t until 10 a.m. I ended up just getting up and getting ready. Vikki called me and her appointment only took 10 minutes and went well. She got a steroid injection and he told her it should take the pain away in a couple of days. Then she will be able to do her therapy better which will at last get her arm back to normal. I talked to her later and it was already helping with the pain. Praise God!
My appointment went good. Everyone there was nice and caring, from the lady who took information down, to the person who did X’rays, the PA and the check out girl. The PA was super nice and super smart and explained everything very well and very thoroughly She showed us the X’rays and CT Scan results and said she can’t believe I am walking without a cane. I know that’s because of all of the prayers. I definitely need a hip replacement but they are booked until February. She works with a doctor who is pretty new to our area and said he is a specialist and is really good. She is trying to see if I can get in to him sooner and if he takes my insurance. We are praying if he’s the one who is supposed to do it, God opens the door and if not he shuts the door. She gave me a bag with lots of stuff to read up on and some things I will need after surgery in it.
We dropped off our absentee ballots and then picked up Melissa and went to Nori’s. Melissa has never been there before. We all had the same thing, but I had ham instead of bacon. It was delicous and big portions. If was fun being together. We took Melissa home afterwards, then came home. We were both tired, from getting up so much in the early morning, that we took naps. It sure felt good.
I went to Sue’s and took her some spaghetti. She was so happy to have food. She isn’t cooking right now because she’s so down. I sat and visited with her until I had to go pick Isaac from school. I asked him if he wanted to go anywhere and he picked Culver’s. He ordered himself and ordered a kids hamburger meal, pretzel balls, and a concrete mixer. Usually he doesn’t want hardly anything. I’m glad he was hungry. I sure loved spending time with this grandson I love. I had a free sundae that was yummy.
He stayed with us until Vikki picked him up on her way home from Kimmy’s. It was so nice having him. Vikki had to leave right away and I was working on the computer and had to finish, so I got hugs and said goodbye.
I finished what I was doing and then went to Bible Study for our last class and party. It was fun and we even got to make pretty bookmarks.

Joan had turkey, ham, two kinds of cheese all cut up, plus a veggie tray and a fruit tray. It was fun talking and snacking.
I called Stacie on my way home because she had called to check on me. Then I called Marie because she wanted to know how my appointment went too. I called my sister, Brenda, earlier in the day to check up on her after her surgery and to let her know how my appointment went. I sent her the X-ray and the report, because she used to be an X-ray technician. She sent me a text after seeing it and said, Yikes, No wonder you hurt.
Vikki said earlier after I let her and Kimmy know, mom, I didn’t even know you were in that much pain because you always just pray and trust the Lord. I like to do that and don’t like to say too much about pain although this has been awful. I should be worse according to those at my doctor’s appt. though, so I am really thankful to God.
