Vikki, Hailey and Evan
Got up early and got ready before the girls and kids got here. Vikki, Isaac and his friend Mason got here first. Kimmy and Eli got here shortly after. Isaac and Mason had a great time playing with remote cars/trucks. His friend was great to have here. He was very polite and so nice. I was glad Isaac made a point to invite Eli to go outside with them. I made turkey chili for tonight at Bruce and Melissa’s. I made strawberries dipped in chocolate too.
Vikki cut Eli’s hair which Eli was pretty happy about. She did a great job. Kimmy, Vikki and Eli went to some Thrift Shops to find a costume for Eli. Isaac and Mason stayed with me and had fun playing ping pong and hanging out in the basement. I made them a pizza and they ate it all and also had some powdered sugar donuts. I made sure they saved some for Eli and whoever else wanted some. They ate the whole pizza. Good to see Isaac eating better now. I made a chocolate sheet cake for tonight too. Isaac helped Bill get the hard top back on the Jeep. So thankful for grandkids who are willing helpers. It was Isaac’s idea too.
When Vikki, Kimmy and Eli got back, I put another pizza in and we had that. Eli had eaten at McDonalds so wasn’t very hungry and neither was Vikki. I ate one piece. Kimmy ate some of the chicken chili I made. We all enjoyed the chocolate covered strawberries.
It was funny because last time I made them I cut the stem off and dipped them in chocolate and used toothpicks. Kenzie came and told me I should leave the stem on to hold them by. This time I did that, and Eli told me I should have taken the stem off and dipped the whole things in chocolate and used toothpicks. So funny!
Kimmy and Vikki worked on sewing and fixing Eli’s outfit. Bill and I went and filled the Motorhome the rest of the way, and put gas in the Jeep. Between a $1 off today at Meijer and the other day at Kroger, we saved $65 in gas for the motorhome. I love deals.
When I went to move the Jeep and follow Bill out of the gas station, I saw a blinker on. Then I noticed it was the hazard lights. I called Bill because I couldn’t see where to turn them off. I had only touched the blinker as far as I knew. I decided to just drive with them on. When we got a few miles up the road, Bill called and told me there was a row of buttons down by the cup holder. Well I didn’t see any hazard button. I am not used to driving the Jeep, so I decided to just drive until I got caught by a light. That took 3 lights. I still couldn’t see the button. Someone got ahead of me and put their hazard lights on so I would know mine were on lol. If they only knew. I was happy to turn on our road and pull in the driveway. I turned my phone flashlight on and saw the button for the hazard lights right under the heater knob between the radio knobs. I was so happy to turn them off and go in the house.
Kimmy was just finishing up, then Vikki and the boys left. A few minutes later Kimmy and Eli left. Bill and I read our Bibles, then took a short nap before going to Melissa and Bruce’s. We got ready, packed things in the car and went to their house. I gave all the grandkids their candy bars, then went in the house and hung out with Bruce, Hailey, Max and Peggy. Melissa and Katie came in shortly after too. We all tried Hailey apple cookies and pumpkins bread. She is the best baker. Both were delicious. All the kids went and got candy in the neighborhood. Bruce got things out to put in the chili, and we ate before the kids got back. They all came back at different time. Kenzie, Travis and Rehvyn were first. Rody came later and ate with us. Peyton went with Hannah and her other church friends. We missed her lots, but glad she was hanging out with church friends. We were happy Jacob came home to spend time with us. Got lots of hugs. Rehvyn did a great job and was super cute. He loved playing with Aunt Missy’s toys afterwards and having Hailey play with him. Everyone ate and we all had fun hanging out together.
