Sat. 8/22/26, Someone made big charges on Bill’s credit card so let the bank know, did some hoeing and weeding around house and in flower garden, went to Tony’s, more weeding on last little part of flower garden,

We read our Bibles, did my prayer books.  I read extra in the book of Daniel because it was so interesting.  I walked outside afterward and fed my fish.  Bill tried to use his credit card at Home Depot and couldn’t, so he looked and there were two big charges on our account that we didn’t make.  We contacted the bank and they had shut our card off because of the big charges.  We filled out forms and they are investigating the charges for fraud.  That took a while.  I went out to do some weeding and hoeing with the 3 prong hoe.  I got about 3/4’s of the way done and it started sprinkling.  Bill asked me if I wanted to go out to eat, so we called Kimmy and Jared to see if they and the boys wanted to go out to eat with us and we would treat.  They were picking up Eli and Isaac and then meeting Vikki with them.  She and Jared were going to the Green Thumb Fish store afterwards.  We called Melissa and Bruce to see if they wanted to go out to eat and Melissa, Evan, Hailey and Jack met us at Tony’s on Gratiot.  We had fun visiting and eating.  Eli called me to see if he could use my Panera Sips Club and I called him back to say yes.  Kimmy called me to see where we ended up eating.  I told her we would take them out soon.  They had such big portions, we were all super full and couldn’t eat everything.  That is everybody but Evan.  He was helping the rest of us eat our extra stuff after he ate a big chicken dinner with onion rings.  He is so funny.  He’s always hungry.  I remember my brother eating like that at Evan’s age.

Jack got a text from Kaylin’s mom saying they were in Saginaw and going to Jack’s favorite restaurant, The Maple Grill.  She was asking him if he wanted them to pick him up so he could go with them.  He had told them how good it is and told them they needed to try eating there.  

We left the restaurant, hugged each other, then we all headed for home.  Bill and I were going to go get ice cream tonight, but decided we were too full.  We will have to have that ice cream date another time.

I worked on the blog when I got home.  Bill sat next to me in the loveseat recliner and caught up on his phone.

 

Friday, 8/21/26, went to Vikki’s, fun day hanging out with her, Kimmy, and the kids

We read our Bibles first thing.  Bill went to help Alec pick up some drywall.  Kimmy and I went to Vikki’s to hang out today so Vikki could get Peyton’s hair done.  It takes around 11 hours.  Kimmy was already there when I got there.  I didn’t get there until 11.  I was so happy to see Kimmy and Eli today.  We haven’t seen them in a long time with Kimmy being sick.  Kimmy thinks she has pleurisy now, but is taking an anti inflammatory for praying that takes care of it.  We helped take Peyton’s braids out so hopefully that saves Vikki some time.  It’s a big job, but it lasts for around 6 weeks.

We girls had pizza for lunch and the boys got home and had chicken fries.  We girls tried the chicken fries and they were really good.  Thanks for sharing with us boys.

Peyton played her guitar lots when Vikki wasn’t working on her hair.  She plays so good and it was so relaxing listening to her.  The boys worked on trying to get the chain on Isaac’s bike when they got done with their ride.  They were in the basement most of the time.  

I left around 4 to come home.  I warmed up the leftovers from Zehnder’s for dinner.  They tasted just as good.   

Had a relaxing evening.  Started watching a Christian movie, but decided we didn’t like it so turned it off.  Read CBN news.

Thursday, 8/20/26, Picked up Melissa, went to Mid Michigan Med. and had cinnamon roll latte’s with Hailey on her break, went for a walk, went to Dahlia Hill, went to funeral home for Kenzie’s grandma Joan’s showing,

Bill and I got ready, then read our Bibles.  Did my prayer books for Bill and my grandkids.  I dropped veggies from the garden off to Lisa and her mom.  I talked to them for a while, then left to go to Melissa’s.  Wookie gave me the best greeting.  Got to see Evan and Jack and got good hugs.  Melissa and I headed to Midland to go have Lattes with Hailey on her break.  On our way, I was going by Panera, so picked up a lemonade with no ice to have later at home.  We had an adventure with me driving on our 5 minute drive.  I didn’t have sound on my Google Maps so was trying to look at directions.  I thought I was to turn at a light and it even had a lane to get in, but there was no road there.  Went to the next light and turned where the road actually was.  It was a good thing Hailey sent Melissa a picture of the building she works in.  It made it much easier to find the entrance we needed.

We got the Lattes because it was 11:15 and the coffee bar closes at 11:30.  We sat and drank some of ours while Hailey finished working.  We saw her behind the desk and saw her take a patients blood pressure.  She is smart and is a good worker.  When she was done, she came out and joined us and was happy to get the latte.  After that, we went on a nice walk during her break.  We came back and she got her lunch and ate it.  She gave us an ice pack and Pyrex dish to take home for her because she is going with friends to Traverse City today after work.  

Melissa and I went and looked at the Dahlias at Dahlia Hill.  They were pretty but looks like they will be prettier later when more bloom.  We went to Panera and Melissa got a lemonade for her.  I dropped her off at her house and came home.  Bill and I got ready and went to the funeral home for Kenzie’s grandma Joan’s showing.  We talked to Kenzie’s aunts, uncle and cousins.  Bill and I were looking at pictures and Joan’s older sister who is 81 came up and went to introduce herself to me.  All of a sudden she said, do you hear a loud PA system and was holding her hands by her ears.  I told her no.  She called her husband over and told him she needed to sit for a while.  Bill and I told her we pray for people at church and asked if we could pray for her.  She said yes.  We prayed over her and when we were done, she said God heard and answered right away.  She felt normal again.  Praise God.  We talked to Kevin for a minute and then we went back to watch a video in the back.  A guy recognized Bill and they worked together.  He was an on fire Christian and shared testimonies of how God protected him and spared his life twice.  He also shared how God has set everything up for him and led him in ways of serving the Lord while working a retirement job training kids at camp to work with irrigation systems.  We met Kevin’s mom who is 99 and as sharp as can be.  She sure doesn’t look that old.   Vikki and Kenzie got there and we talked with them, then Maddy came in and we got to see her.  

We left after that and dropped off the ice pack and food container Hailey had given us because we forgot it when I dropped Melissa off.  Came home and worked on blog some ran pool filter and now will be leaving to go to Vikki and Rody’s to pick them and Rehvyn up to go to Zehnder’s for the guys free birthday meals.  

We all went in our Jeep to Frankenmuth. We took pictures then went in to eat.  We got seated right away, but not in our usual dining room.  We were in the bar area.  We had a really nice waiter.  We all left very full of very delicious food.  We had a fun time too.  It was a very fun day!

Wed, 8/19/26, Had Ruby vacuum, blew off the deck, washed down the tables, put cushions out, Adam and Grace came over and visited. then swam. they helped us put the cover on, Bill had to cut up the old solar cover and throw it away, I watered the garden, saw two hummingbirds, put new hummingbird food in the feeder for them

Grace and Adam had a nice long swim.  They are the last ones to swim this year as we are closing it tomorrow.  They helped us put the winter cover over it since we aren’t using our new solar cover until next year

Chopped up lots of green peppers for the freezer tonight

Got up, started Ruby vacuuming, read my Bible, and did my prayer books.  Blew off the deck, washed all the tables and put the cushions on the swings, chairs up by the pool and loungers.  Adam said he and Grace would probably stop over after they leave Frankenmuth and visit and go for a swim.  Bill went to help Alec measure how much dry wall he needs to fix where some drywall got moldy. 

I talked to Melissa for over an hour.  I am going to pick her up tomorrow and we are going to visit Hailey at Mid Michigan Hospital.  It is her last day for her internship.  We are going to have coffee together there.  She says it’s the best coffee she’s had.  Can’t wait to go try it.

I’m dropping off some veggies for Lisa and her mom on my way to pick Melissa up.  

I warmed up another burger from Fred’s for lunch.  I was too full to eat the last couple of bites.  They are big burgers.  I called Kimmy.  While I was talking to her she told me Adam and Grace had just pulled in.  I was disappointed the hadn’t stopped over.  Jacob was packing his car as he moves into his new apartment tomorrow.  Kimmy and Jared will be helping him.  Abi is moving into her apartment tomorrow too.  They are in the same apartment complex.

Kimmy called me back to let me know Adam and Grace were on their way to visit and go for a swim.  I was sure happy to hear that great news.  Bill and I took the solar cover off and it was falling apart, so Bill cut it up and put it in garbage bags.  I skimmed the pool since when we had the wind and hard rain the other night, leaves got in the pool where it doesn’t cover up because of the steps going into the pool.  There were plastic bubbles from the solar cover I got out too.  The water was crystal clear and they said once they got used to it it was much warmer than the air.  It was cooler in the evening than it has been, but still in the mid 70’s.  They helped us cover the pool with the winter cover so it would at least be covered til we close it.  They were so sweet.  Bill offered them some sugar cookies, but they wanted Oreo’s in small packages from Sam’s Club.  Adam told Grace Nana always has Oreo's.  He’s right.

Bill went to the Marine Corps League meeting and Adam and Grace left right after him.  They were going to the fair in Midland.  I had offered to take Adam and Grace out to eat in Freeland when they were leaving, but they were too full from the pizza they ate.  I waved goodbye and I could see hands waving out the sunroof.  I made a PB&J for me and sat out on the deck and ate it. 

When Bill got home, we took the steps out of the pool and worked on tightening the winter cover so it would stay on until we close the pool. I watered the garden while he was gone.

Tuesday, 8/18/26, Trash Day, went to Hobby Lobby, met Kenzie, Travis, Rehvyn, Vikki and Peyton at Airborne, went to Restaurant for Taco Tuesday afterward, Rehvyn and Travis got a haircut afterward, went to Goodwill, went to prayer, picked the garden,

I emptied stuff from the refrigerator into the garbage and Bill worked on taking all the garbage out and hauling the garbage can and recycling can out to the road.  I started a load of laundry too.  We read our Bibles after that.  We had a bowl of muskmelon and fresh pineapple for breakfast.  

I got ready, then went to Hobby Lobby and got some cute bags, for a craft I picked up for kids for the carnival.  I also got a beautiful and very soft blanket for $8.  I used my gift card Cassie gave me for Christmas.  

I met Vikki, Peyton, Kenzie, Travis and Rehvyn next door at Airborne at 1.  Vikki and I watched while the kids all jumped.  We sat in massage chairs and enjoyed a massage during some of our time there.  They all had so much fun.  They got really good exercise too.  They had an hour to jump.  Vikki’s friend had given her coupons for them to use to jump free.  

We left and went to Sombrero’s for Taco Tuesday.  I called Bill and he met us there.  We had good food and fun together.  Bill left to go pick up his wedding ring that he had resized.  It fit him good.  After he cut his knuckle on that finger, it swelled and then scarred, so he had to have it made bigger.  He shouldn’t have been naughty and got up on that high Motorhome roof after I left to pick up Melissa and Hailey for Starbucks that day.

After we ate, the rest of us went next door and Travis and Rehvyn both got nice haircuts.  

Rehvyn sat so good for his and did whatever the girl told him.  It was cute when she told him to shut his eyes.  It is in one of the pictures.  Billy from church came in and was signing in for a haircut too.

We left then and went to Goodwill and walked around.  It was fun looking at toys with Rehvyn.  Travis bought him a little car and wrecker he really liked.  

I left for home after that so I could have a little time before going to prayer group at church.  I relaxed for a half hour in my recliner.  Prayer was amazing tonight.  The Holy Spirit just flows during prayer.  We are seeing so many answers.  God is Awesome!

I came home and warmed up a burger left over from the reunion.  I also had a bowl of cucumbers.  I picked the garden after that and got some tomatoes, cucumbers and peppers.

The corn is getting bigger and should be ready soon.  

Bill and I read our devotion.  It was a good one.  Billy Graham was one of my favorite Evangelists ever!
