More guys

Charlie, Vickey, me and Sue. My favorite part!  Shopping at the MCX...It was like a luxury department store.  We got great deals because a marine on base that was in line behind us let us use his military card.  Vickey had one we could have used, but we couldn't see her so right away he offered.  So nice.

Charlie, Vickey, Sue and Bill.  Bill sure enjoyed himself lots in there too.
I absolutely love the rug Jared and Kimmy made from Della's wool.  It is beautiful and they are amazing and very talented!!!

We sat around in the morning and drank our coffee and visited.  At 10 am we went to IHop’s For breakfast.  It was packed and there was a ten minute wait.  The food was great.  After that we went to the Marine Command Center.  Vikki had her card and they let us right on the base.  We were looking for the Marine museum but they moved it to Parris Island so we went there next.  They let us right on the base with just her card there too.  We were all surprised because when we tried to go with Christopher and get on his base, we couldn’t just go with him.  We had to go through filling out a long form and show our license ang giving our SS number.  Then they called in to check everything.  It took so long that we didn’t go.  We really enjoyed the base.  We went in to the mart and it was like Koles , Penney’s and MACY’s put together.  We found some good deals.  Bill loved it in there.  Me too.  We went to the museum afterward.  There were so many young soldiers in it looking at the displays.  They were so kind and respectful to us, always letting us go first and saying excuse me.  Young guys would tell the others to let us go first.  Vickey, Sue and I sat on a bench waiting for the guys and lots of soldiers came upstairs and walked by us sayin good afternoon ladies.
Quite impressive seeing all the respect.  We drove around the base.  It was very nice.  Went out for homemade ice cream after that. Went to Walmart and then stopped to pick up pizza for dinner.  Came back and ate.  Took Zexter for a walk.  I did my blog while Charlie, Sue, Bill and Vickey played Euchre.  I wanted to catch up on my blog.

3/9/18...Left Florida, got to Beaufort, S.C, Went for a walk, Went to Outback

Zexter reminded me a lot of Mocha

The doggie sure liked Bill

Nice Neighbor hood we stayed in.  We took a walk around it.

Sue and Vikki

right at the end of our walk around the water, there was this sign that said  "Beware of Alligators"
They have only had one there and they rescued it.

I took this picture by the sign.  That's the house we are staying in right across the road.

Left condo at 8:30 am.  Stopped for breakfast at a Waffle House.  Such a delicious breakfast!  Haven’t been to a Waffle House since we went to Florida when the girls were 12 and 14.  Mike kept telling us along during our trip that we were going to go to a Waffle House.  When we got to Chattanooga Tennessee, they got 21 inches of snow, and the only place open was a Waffle House.  That’s were we went!  Got to Vickey’s daughter Holly’s house at 5:30.  He house is huge and beautiful.  Lots of steps because the houses here are built up high because of hurricanes.  We walked Vickey’s dog around the block.  Such a beautiful neighborhood!  We went out to eat after Holly got home.  Went to a place called Bricks but there was a 25 minute wait.  Left and went to Outback and had a 25 minute wait there too.  We waited and had great food.  By the time we got home, it was 10.  Visited for a while and then went to bed.

3/8/18...EVAN ASKED JESUS INTO HIS HEART111 We left our condo at 9:30 and headed to Christophers. We all forgot to remember to bring the baby gift, wedding card and Zayden's gift that we had got at Walmart. Didn't realize it until we were too far. Had a great time with Chris and Angie. Loved holding baby Kylon. Went out to eat, came home and packed some stuff, played cards.

Sue and Charlie...thought this was so cute on the ride home.  They trusted Bill's driving so much that they fell asleep on the drive home.

We left at 9:40 a.m. and headed to Christopher and Angie's, Bill's great nephew  On the way, we realized none of us remembered the baby gift, Zayden's gift or the wedding card we had gotten the night before at Walmart.  We didn't have time to go back, so when we got to the town they live in, Niceville, we stopped at a Walmart and got the same gifts.  We got to their house and visited quite a while and I held the baby.  They had two dogs.  One was older and more mellow and the other was young and all over us. It even jumped up on the couch by Sue.  Bill held the baby too and we took pictures while we were there. We went to lunch at a restaurant on the water.  I had the whitefish parmesan.  It was delicious!  I held the baby while his mom finished eating her food.  He is such a good baby.  We headed to Eglan Airforce base where Christopher works after that.  He though we could get in by Bill and Charlie showing their VA cards.  They have changed the policy now though, so we had to go to the other side from where we were to get passes.  There were 3 foreigners ahead of us and they took so long looking their information up, that after we filled our forms out, we realized we wouldn't have enough time to go through the base.  Zayden would be home from school and getting off the bus so we told the guy we weren't going to go through.  We said goodbye to Chris, Angie and the baby and gave exchanged hugs.  Then Charlie, Sue, Bill and I went to the Airforce Museum and walked through it.  We left there and headed home and I took that cute picture of Charlie and Sue in our backseat snoozing.  We packed a lot of stuff when we got back,  made burgers to eat and then played cards  Charlie and Sue won the first game and we won the rest.

Waves were smaller today

We went for a beautiful drive today

Stopped at the Indian Dealer in Panama City

We went for a walk on the beach

Not sure what the blue light is in the pictures

Beautiful walk but had to watch out for lots of jellyfish

Empty pool today.  90 degrees but it was so windy you freeze when you get out

Beautiful Sunset

We got up, ate breakfast, checked outside to see what the temperature was.  It was pretty windy out so felt cool on our balcony.  We ate our breakfast and then deduced to ride to Pensacola. We stopped at The Donut Hole and had a donut and coffee on our way.   The ride was beautiful with lots of amazing scenery. We stopped at a Chic Fil A for lunch.  We ended up going to the city, Niceville where Christopher and Angie live and found where there house is.  We are going there tomorrow to eat lunch and go to his base.  He is getting passes for us.  We came back and went for a walk along the beach.  There were still lots of jellyfish.  Some people were walking barefoot and Sue asked if they knew what those things were. They said no, so she told them to be careful because they can sting.  Afterwards, we checked at the office with the girl working and asked her if they were the kind of jellyfish that sting and she said yes.  Ate up the leftover spaghetti for dinner.  Played cards.  Chuck and Sue won 2 and Bill and I won 3.

3/6/18...71 degrees, windy and had some rain. Evan almost got ran over by Melissa at the school. Praising God for His protection. Played Euchre. Went to Publics for Almond Milk, cookies, batteries and spaghetti sauce

I looked out my bedroom window and saw this girl in the back and she reminded me so much of Hailey.  Makes me miss my Hailey girl
The weather sure has changed...Sunny skies are gone and the wind has picked up.  Warm  out, but the wind is crazy

Sue took this when I was telling her how to take the picture.  It was cute of Bill and the only people picture I have for today so I put it on

Got up to high waves with lots of wind and no sunshine.  In the low 70's here today so temperature was warm at least.  Melissa called very shook up because when she dropped the kids off, they got out one by one and went up to the door.  They just changed the policy two weeks ago after the Florida school shooting and now have a man standing outside the school, opening the door and letting students in.  Melissa got busy with Max's costume for the day, and thought she saw Evan go in the door.  Evan had asked for the change in the van before he got out because they were having penny wars in the school.  Max went in and Melissa checked the van to make sure nothing was left behind and waited to see Max go in.  Just then she started to pull forward and the car behind honked and the man by the door screamed to wait and came running.  Evan had dropped the money and had crawled under the van to get it.  If the guy wouldn't have been there, Melissa would have run over Evan.  She was so scared and still very upset and crying when she called me.  She had called Bruce first and he sent a message to the principal to thank the man.  The principal said she had seen it and it was SCARY (she put it in caps)  Said it could have ended much worse.  Evan looked terrified when he stood up by the van.  This is one thankful Nana.  I can't even imagine how horrible that would be.  I am thanking and praising God.
We played Euchre.  Poor Charlie is getting discouraged because we have won 16 games and they have won 2.  He isn't giving up though.  We went to Publics to get a few things....milk, spaghetti sauce to add to what we have from the other night and cookies.  Charlie got some batteries too.  It was raining when we were out, but it didn't rain hard and didn't last long.  Charlie wanted to play more Euchre when we got back.

What Melissa wrote about God protecting Evan this morning:

Thanking God today for protecting my baby! Almost ran over Evan this morning when dropping him off at school. He had gotten out of the van and dropped his change for the penny war just as Max was getting out and I was distracted talking to him. Some of the change must have fallen under than van so Evan crawled under to get it. (I couldn't see him and did not know he did this.) I waited as Max walked up to the door and double checked the backseat to make sure nobody forgot anything. As I started to pull away, I heard a honk and then someone yell "Wait" so I immediately stopped. He ran up to the van yelling "Wait, he's under the van!" I still didn't know what he was talking about thinking maybe the kid from the car behind me somehow got caught under my back bumper or something. I thought Evan had already ran into the school. I didn't even realize it was Evan until he slowly got up from the ground and I could finally see him. He looked so scared and I could hear the fear in his voice as he told me he was getting his money that fell. As I pulled away from the school, panic struck me as it started to sink in what had just happened and how close it really was. I just sat there crying, thanking God over and over again. Going over it in my mind later on, I started thinking of all the little things that made this turn out the way it did. Only a couple weeks ago the school decided to have an adult always standing at the door to let the kids in. If it hadn't been for that, I wouldn't have known and the outcome would have been totally different. I will forever be grateful to him and his quick thinking to yell for me to stop. If I had pulled away any sooner, not checking the backseat or not waiting till Max made it up to the door, the outcome could have been totally different. If the car behind me hadn't honked, I might not have been paying enough attention to hear someone yelling "Wait" or maybe would have thought they were just talking to the car behind me. All these what if's are so scary to think about but it definitely shows that God was watching out for us today. And these were just a few of the little things that prevented this horrible thing from happening. I can't wait for my baby to get home from school so I can squeeze him extra tight, I might not want to let him go! As I talk to him about NEVER EVER crawling under a vehicle again, I will also be giving him some extra hugs and kisses. Sooooooo thankful!!!!

So I just want to say again, THANK YOU JESUS! I can’t say it enough! I won’t stop! He is such a gracious God!
