Beautiful warm sunny day...We enjoyed lounging by the pool

Beautiful sunset.  I videoed it going down, but can't post it.

Sunset...It sure went down fast

Watching a movie outside by the pool on the big screen.  We sat in lounge chairs and they brought us warm beach towels because it was windy and a little cool out.

Animal of the night and a thank you card from our steward who took care of our room.
It was an “at sea” day today!  We ate breakfast at the Platinum with Wes, Gayla and Joel.  I had a stack of blueberry pancakes with blueberry topping, ham, and a fruit plate.  We changed into our swimsuits and went to the 11th deck and lounged in the chairs.  Bill decided to go to the deportation meeting to see what we need to do tomorrow when we get off the ship early to catch our flight.  They told everyone at the meeting that they can’t believe how many people set their luggage out for pickup at night, and then the next morning when it’s time to get off the ship, they have only robes, or pj’s or nothing in some cases to wear when they have to leave.
A young couple next to me from Oklahoma on the deck stood up and saw flying fish.  Wes had told us he had seen some on his last cruise.  There were about a hundred of them.  They sure can fly pretty far.  Sure was neat to see.
We went and had lunch at one.  So much food to choose from, and you can always have as much as you want.  Ice cream available in machines 24 hours a day.  We laid by the pool after that.  Then we walked through some shops.  Went to dinner at six.  Bill had prime rib and I had Salmon, red potatoes and macaroni and cheese, plus baked onion soup.  Yum!  We all had baked Alaska.  The wait staff all came out carrying flaming ones and paraded around.  Then they all put another show for us.  We went to our rooms and got warm clothes on, then went up by the pool and sat in lounge chairs and watched Small Foot.  The worker brought us warm beach towels to cover up with.  The calm daytime pool turned into a wave pool because it was so windy.  We went in the  Lido  and played 3-13 after that.  Bill won and beat Wes by 4 points.  Wes had been winning till then! We said our goodbyes because we had to leave way earlier than them in the morning to catch our flight in time. What great friends and wonderful blessings they are to us.

I watched a beautiful sunrise on our balcony.  It was breathtaking!  We went up by the pool and found Wes, Gayla and Joel up there.  It looked so cute up there with all of the towel animals on the loungers and lining the area by the pool.  They even had a big alligator.  We ate breakfast in the Platinum Restaurant.  Then we walked off our ship and arrived at Amber Cove in the Dominican Republic.  It is the most beautiful place I have ever seen.  They had a beautiful pool and lounge chairs, and it was all free.  Bill and Wes went down the Zipline a couple of times. Bill and I swam for a while.  It was the most amazing pool I have swam in.  It even has a place with a couple inches of water to lay on a lounge mat and get a suntan.  Loved the lazy river too and it was nice that it had a place that went down gradual so Joel could sit and put his feet in the water.
We all sat around the pool for a while. We went and picked out a coconut for a drink and watched the guy cut off the end and carve a hole in it for the straw.  Bill videoed him.  We were both so much into watching him that we walked away with out paying.  Of course the guy came running after us.  We sure apologized and paid him right away.  We drank the coconut milk from the coconut.  When we were finished drinking, we took the coconut back to the guy where we got it and he cut it and scooped the coconut out and put it in a cup for us.  We ate a little of it.  I was surprised Bill tried it because he doesn't like coconut.  It didn't taste much like coconut from the store though.  After that we walked in all of the shops and bought a few souvenirs and a pair of sandals for each of us.  Got some Dominican Republic money for the grandkids to go with the money holders we got for them in Puerto Rico.  We met up with Wes, Gayla and Joel and had homemade ice cream.  We went back on our ship and ate burgers and fries at Guys Burgers.  They are so delicious.  In the evening, Bill and I headed down to have filet mignon in our restaurant. When we went out our door a couple was passing by all dressed up.  He was in an Aloha colorful shirt and she had a matching dress.   They looked at us and told us it was elegant night again and wanted Bill to know they wouldn't let him in in shorts.  We went back in our room and changed real quick.  Then we went to the restaurant to eat all dressed up.  The meal was delicious!  I had a soufflé for dessert that was outstanding.  Yum!!!  Bill didn't see any dessert he liked listed, so he had ice cream.  Bill and I walked around and he bought me a “By the Inch” gold bracelet that is beautiful!  You pick it out and they make the chain into a bracelet.  We went to the Amber Palace for the live musical show.  Didn’t like tonight’s performance.  It was 80’s Rock.  I’m not a rock fan.  Played 3-13 with Wes and Gayla.  Bill was the winner!
