Congratulations Jacob!  We are so proud of you.  We love you!

Love this!!!
I think this is such a great picture

Two photo bombers...Like father, like son lol

Fun and yummy ice cream after the graduation
Rody, Bill, Kenzie and Eli all on their phones.  I thought they should be paying attention to Jacob.  Wait....He was on his phone too lol.

Jacob and Ryan...Jacob had wanted to go home and change out of his good clothes.  He didn't have time because we didn't know how late the Country Creamery stayed open.  His friend Ryan came after we were there a little while and was dressed up still too.  I just had to take a picture.
Peyton and Isaac's last day of school

Bill and I went to get gas in the morning before he mentored Ross.  We got a dollar off a gallon on 35 gallons.  Yay!  I went to the bank and Aldi after that.  At 11, I met Vikki, Peyton and Isaac and we shopped for our free over the counter stuff.  Isaac was cute, because I was looking for Zyrtec and the only Zyrtec I saw was 34 or 44 dollars.  I wasn't going to pay that much because I don't need to take it much longer.  Isaac went on the end of the aisle and found me a bottle of it for $19, and just the amount I needed.  Smart kiddo!

When I got home, I read my Bible.  Put good worship music on after that which I do everyday.  I went outside to check plants over, blow off the decks (many of the tree helicopters were all over) and check the temperature of the pool water.  I decided to get my suit on and at least get my legs wet.  The water was so nice I went swimming and to my exercise.  I burned 146 calories.  I love swimming so it's not really exercise to me.  I skimmed the pool first and then ended up swimming for an hour.

I made us each a fruit bowl for dinner and Bill also had a burger, hot dog and fried potatoes.
Melissa came over at 5:40 and we left for Jacob's graduation.  We got there early, but it was already pretty full.  We sat up at the very top with Kimmy and Jared.  Melissa sat up against the wall with them, and Bill and I sat in the row below them.  Vikki, Rody, Peyton, Isaac, McKenzie, Adam and Eli sat another section over at the top.  It was very hot in the gym.

The graduation ceremony was so nice.  Jacob graduated Magna Cum Laude, Earned MEMCA Technical Certificate, and Earned 25 college credits.  We are very proud of him and his amazing accomplishments.  After the graduation, everyone went outside for pictures.  We congratulated and hugged Jacob, got some family pictures, then Vikki went with Jacob to take pictures of him with his friends.   After that, Bill wanted to treat everyone for ice cream, so we went to our favorite ice cream place, the Country Creamery.  It was packed, but it didn't take to long to get served.  Adam's soccer team ended up coming there too.  Other graduates were there also.  It is now Melissa's favorite ice cream place.  They had her favorite flavor too!

Papa, Jack and I
Jacob in the middle on the right.  He will be graduating with honors tomorrow night.  Today the seniors marched through the elementary and middle school wearing their caps and gowns.  I am very proud of him.  He did duel enrollment, going to college also and was in the top 8 of his class.  Love you Jacob, and can't wait to see you graduate tomorrow night.  Then onward to MSU!!!

I caught an opossum in the morning.  I thought it was a raccoon until I looked closely.  I went outside early to water some dry new grass and a few plants.  I skimmed the pool and put the solar cover on to warm it up quickly with this hot weather.  I ate a muffin Charlie sent home with Bill for me for breakfast.  I had an iced coffee with it that I made.  Kenzie called me and I talked to her for a while.  I can't wait to find out what she is having.

I read my Bible out on the deck and did some praying.  Kit Kat didn't join me today.  She must be under the deck where it is cool for her.  It was warm on the deck, but not uncomfortable for me.  Very thankful for shade.  I am so thankful the boys helped Bill get the air conditioner in on Saturday.  We are sure enjoying that.

Bill had to go for a bladder test.  He got a good report…no cancer.  Praise God!

In the evening, we went to Old Town Drive In and got coney dogs, fries and root beers.  Yum!
Then we went to Jack's graduation from 8th grade. It was a nice ceremony.  Jack got lots of awards.  He is a great kid who is kind and thoughtful.  I sure am proud of my Jack.  Did those kindergarteners ever sing good.  Nice a loud so everyone could hear.  After the kindergartners received their certificates, they showed a cute video of the 8th graders when they were in kindergarten, and one of the kindergarteners and 8th graders.  They had cake and juice afterwards.  It was fun!

Tues., 5/30/23, Jared's moms surgery day, Went to Vikki's, picked up O ring and pool chemicals, washed lounge chairs, filled pool so Bill could hook up filter, picked up Jack and Evan, Put chemicals in pool

My place to read my Bible in the morning.  So peaceful.

Jack and Evan having drumsticks as an after school treat

Jack and Evan relaxing.  They enjoyed telling me about their day at school

Evan...I cut out his dirty feet,  I gave him a blanket.  His feet were black from playing at school.

After putting the two chemicals in the guy at the pool place told me,  the pool turned darker than had been.  Probably because the filter wasn't hooked up and the weather has been so hot.  I shocked it and an hour later this is what it looked like.  Yay!  I love a clear pool.
Just when I think it can't get prettier, it does.
Made us each a fruit bowl
Hailey sent me this picture from camp.  I'm glad she makes friends so fast.  This week is training week, but she get's paid for it which is super nice

Bill met Charlie for coffee.  I sat outside and read my Bible.  Did some praying out there too. Jared's mom, Lela, had her surgery today!  I know how much prayers mean and what they do. After I got ready, I went to Vikki's to pick up the thistle seed and suet she is giving me that she has extra of.  So nice of her.  I went to the pool place after that.  They tested our pool water, then he told me what I needed to do.  With the O ring, silicone for it, and Pooltrine 60, the cost came to $37.  When I got home, Bill was mowing the grass.  The pool was almost full to where the pump could be hooked up.  I walked around and looked at my plants.  I saw both butterfly bushes poking through the ground that I had planted last year and the year before.  I thought they weren't coming up, so I was pretty happy.  I put suet in the feeders, and also put thistle seed in the feeders.  I washed off two of the lounge chairs.  It sure did help covering them under the deck with a tarp.  The rain washes leaves, etc. and it gets everything dirty under there.  Last year it was a job washing all the stuff.  This year is easy breezy.d

When Bill was done mowing, we got the pool filter started.  Then I put the first chemical PH increaser in and ran the filter for an hour.  I ate lunch (I ended up too busy to eat breakfast.  That doesn't happen very often, unless I am fasting.  The hour passed quickly with keeping busy.  I put the PoolTrine 60 in next.  The pool kept looking darker instead of lighter.  The guy had told me this would take care of the green, but I think with the hot weather and filter not on for a couple of days, it didn't do the job.  I shocked the pool next and after an hour, it looked clear and beautiful.  Yay!

I picked Jack and Evan up after school and brought them to our house to spend time.  We had drumsticks when we got here.  Then we just sat and hung out and they told me about their day, and talked about a lot of other things.  We talked about Jesus too.  Evan told me how much he loves memorizing God's Word so it's in his heart.  They try to think of what Jesus would do in circumstances.  I am so proud of these two boys and love them so much.  They are kind and always think about others.  They make good choices.  They ate burgers, hotdogs, and each had a bowl of Cocoa Krispies.  Bill ate burgers and hot dogs with them.  I ate leftover chicken noodle casserole.  Melissa came to pick them up and visited for a while.  Vikki and I talked on the phone a few times today.  Lela texted me and let me know it was a good surgery day.  I sure was thankful to God and happy to hear that.  I am thanking Him and praising Him.  What an awesome God.  She also is helping others who have cancer because it is a teaching hospital.  What a wonderful gift to others.

Melissa and Jack walked Hailey's route tonight, and almost kept going in an extra circle.  Jack realized it and they headed the right way.  I am glad Melissa is keeping up the walking.  She is just doing amazing.  I am going to walk a couple of times a week with her when I can.

Hailey texted me and sent me a group picture of camp workers where she is. They were playing games already yesterday which was her first day.  She said she is having fun.  I sure do miss her already.  I can't wait to go see her and take her to see where her great grandma and grandpa's cottage was that we went to all the time when I was a kid.
