Tuesday, 4/1/25, Took Sister C to her dentist appt., had our taxes done, hung out with Maddy, Evan and Jack came over, Adam had his wisdom teeth out

Jack leaving with Papa

Evan leaving with Papa

My poor sweet Adam had his wisdom teeth pulled today.  I am praying the pain goes away quickly.  We did have some laughs while texting today.  Especially when spellcheck changed wisdom teeth to wife teeth.

There was a close up picture of him, but it was too painful for me to look at so didn’t post it.  I remember when Melissa and Kimmy went through this.  No fun!

I got up at 6 a.m., got ready, made my coffee, ate breakfast, and then headed to Sister C’s house.  I got there 5 minutes early, so we sat and talked until it was time to leave.  Her appointment went well.  I offered to buy her a coffee, but she was nervous about her oxygen tank running out, even though we had an extra.  Bill is taking her to tomorrow’s appt. so she said she’ll have him get her a coffee.  After I dropped her off, I came home and read my Bible chapters.  Then I let Maddy know I was home.  We had planned on getting together yesterday, but switched to today.  We set it up for 1 p.m., and then Bill told me we were having our taxes done at 1.  I messaged her when we got done which was 1:15, and then went to pick her up.  Her Jeep is in getting a new starter.  We went the back roads to a new coffee shop in Bay City, called Excited Goat.  I had a mounds iced coffee and she had a lemon.  It was so good!  I only get specialty coffees with her, so it’s not that often.  We had a nice visit.  Afterward, she ordered a mobile order to take lunch back to Brielle.  I haven’t done that, so it was interesting watching how she did it.  I dropped her off and then headed home.  I got there just as Jack and Evan were putting their bow and arrows away.  They had played basketball with Papa too, and did some knife throwing.  Bill forgot to take pictures.  They also raked our yard where Bill is going to plant grass seed.  It is prepared now so the grass seed will grow better and not blow away.  They were great workers.  Evan came right away to give me a hug when he saw me.  I love how he does that! I got a hug from Jack too.  I sent them both a text after they left thanking them for all the help they gave Bill and got nice replies.
I picked up the shepherd’s hook as it blew over again today.  I staked it down, then filled all of the bird feeders.  While Bill was gone I walked 1 1/2 miles on the walking pad.  I did a speed of 3.5 so was sure tired afterward.

Maddy said she was going to fast a meal every day and read her Bible and pray during that time instead, so I told her I would do that too.

I talked to Vikki and she said Adam had his wisdom teeth out and I should have Kimmy send me the picture.  Oh my, those were some big wisdom teeth.  Praying for the pain to be gone quickly.

Kenzie just FaceTimed me and Rehvyn was so cute, smart and funny.  I took some pictures but he was on the move so they aren’t real clear.

Monday, 3/31/25, Kimmy, Adam and Eli came over, Adam drove to his dentist appt., Eli, Bill, Kimmy and I played 3-13,Vikki came over after work, I went to visit Marie at the Rehab

I made the yummy salmon Cathy gave us.  Tim caught it, took the skin off, and cut it into pieces.  It was so good.  I texted Cathy to let her know how much we liked it.  I didn’t think to take a picture of it all on the pan, so just got what was left after we ate.
This cactus is continuing to blossom and has many more buds.  It started before Thanksgiving and is still continuing to blossom.  Guess it is a Thanksgiving, Christmas, and Easter Cactus lol
Me, Eli and Papa during our 3-13 game.  Bill won!

Bill got up early to go meet with Pastor Ken.  I read my Bible, but will have to finish the other two chapters later.  Kimmy, Adam and Eli came in the morning.
Adam drove himself to his dentist appointment.  Kimmy, Bill, Eli and I played a game of 3-13.  We had fun except for when Bill was dealing.  He decided he could deal any way he wanted to.  Dealing backwards, a couple of cards at a time was a couple of the ways.  He won with and Asterix!!!  We snacked on M & M’s and cashews during the game.  Adam got back and ate pizza. Kimmy and I ate Mac and cheese.  Eli was fussy, but Kimmy told me he likes the boxed Mac and cheese so I made some of that so Eli could eat.

My shepherd’s hook with all the bird feeders on it fell over from the wind and the wet ground.  Bill had gone outside, so I opened the door and asked him to pick it up.  He looked on the other side of the deck, and told me Kimmy was already picking it up.  That girl....she is always getting right at what’s needed to be done.  Vikki called and was heading over, so I started making a couple of eggs for her to have egg sandwiches.  She got her and took over making the eggs and her toast.   We watched some Little House episodes while they were here.  Vikki had to go pick up the kids from school, and Kimmy and Adam had to go to his appointment.  Eli decided to go with them.  I called Marie and Roy to check on them.  They found out the machine was giving wrong readings for her blood pressure and that’s why it was high.  They are doing it manually now and it is good.  Yay!

I baked salmon, then broiled it for 7 minutes.  I made baked potatoes and green beans to go with it.  The salmon they caught at Salmon camp this year tasted so good.  I thanked Cathy and told her to thank Tim for the great job of catching it, skinning it, and slicing it.  YUM!

After dinner, I went and visited Marie.  Roy was still up there, so the three of us had a great visit.  Marie gave me some instructions for when I go clean her house on Wed.  I am going at 8 am and Roy is going to let me in.  Roy showed me the cutest picture of him when he was 4 years old.  A worker told him she had two horses, so he told her he would bring a picture of a cowboy....him!!!
Roy (maybe Roy Rogers lol)

I got home, emptied the dishwasher, than started working on my blog.  Going to bed early now because I have to be at Sister C’s at 7:45 and then drive her to her dentist 35 minutes away.  I love spending time with her, but don’t know about appointments this early.

Sunday, 3/30/25, Went to prayer, than into church service, home for a nap, then took motorhome to fill up with gas, watched the MSU game, watched a movie

Took this picture at church since Greg and Bill were twinning with their New Life sweatshirts.  Merijo jumped in the middle.  They are great friends.
Beautiful sunset after the really high winds, rain, thunder and lightning.
Maddy said it’s amazing that Mason’s face looks amazing today with bruises lighter than yesterday and almost gone.  She burned arm pretty bad today.

We went to prayer at 9:30, then afterwards went into the service.  Prayer was awesome, worship was awesome and the message was so good.  Vikki was helping with Thomas in Sunday School.  There were 90 kids, babies through 5th grade.  Good thing we are going to start having 2 services.  After service, Bill and I prayed for Logan and Paige.  Logan was in my k-1 class and now will be getting married to Paige.  Love seeing kids grow up into young adults who are serving the Lord.  After that, our Intercessors group prayed for Luke, a college kid who is getting married at the end of April and moving away.  It was an awesome time of prayer too.

We came home and ate. Then relaxed and both took a nap in our recliners.  It was a rainy day out.  In the evening we watched the Michigan State Game.  We were sorry they lost, but the other team sure did platy well.  The weather reports kept interrupting the game because there were severe storms in Michigan with potential tornados and the winds were 70 mph.  I called Kenzie when I heard it was headed her way, then Melissa called me to let me know about the bad weather.  Bruce’s dad had called her and said the winds by him blew the roof of a school off and overturned a mobile home.  I called Vikki and I tried calling Kimmy, then Jared but no answer so finally texted Adam.  I finally did get through to Kimmy.  She was going to let Jacob know.
We got high winds right at the time they had said.  It poured, but we didn’t get any hail and no tornado’s for any of us.  Thanking God for answering our prayers.  I had tried to call Marie at the hospital a few times, but didn’t get any answer,  I also tried calling Roy at their house, but he wasn’t home.  I didn’t want him getting caught driving in the storm.

Bill and I watched a good movie, called Cinderella.  I talked to Melissa after the movie again.  Bruce’s dad had shoulder surgery so we are paying for quick and complete healing.

Saturday, 3/29/25, Rainy cool day, The boys all slept in, Bill and I got gas, then I stopped to pick up donuts, met Al and Lucy in Perry

Poor Mason fell out of a chair high chair and hit his head on the table.  Maddy sent me pictures.  They were at her sister's cottage.  She took him to Sparrow and got him checked out.  They just need to keep an eye on him because everything checked out good.  Praying for him to heal quickly.  Maddy is young, but is just the best mom.

I walked a mile on the walking pad.  I wanted to get my walk in before the boys got up.  They stayed up really late, so they slept in for a really long time.  Bill read his Bible, then I joined him and read mine.  After that Bill and I went to Kroger and got gas, then he went to the post office and I stopped at Tim Horton’s.  I picked up a dozen doughnuts.  I took 4 to Melissa, Max, Bruce and Hailey, then headed home with the rest.  When I got home, the boys were still sleeping.  I made coffee to drink with my donut.

The boys got up and saw the donuts right away and started thanking me.  They were so cute and so sweet.  I was happy I thought to pick those donuts up.  Jack and Evan had coffee too.
They all ate cereal after that.  I offered to make eggs, but I had bought cereal they liked so that was their choice.  Bill worked on his Jeep in the garage.  He always has something to put on it or make it look nice.  Good to see him have a fun interest.

I watched a couple of worship videos on the tv.  The boys had fun hanging out together.  I was kind of missing when they were little and just played with toys right by us.  They do grow up though.  I am thankful they are such great kids and they all love Jesus so much.

Melissa came and visited, then she took all three boys to her house.  Eli wanted to spend the night here with them again, but Bill and I weren’t going to be home, so Melissa said Eli could come to her house and spend the night.  I was happy that worked out.

Bill and I met Al, Lucy and their grandson Colton.  He is 7 and was so much fun and so cute. We had a good meal and a great visit with Al and Lucy who are our Goodie Reps for Michigan.  They do a great job.  Bill ordered some things for our chapters from them and they met us to give them to us.  When we came home,  we saw two places along the road that at at least 5 dead deer right close together. In the one place, the car ahead of us had to stop because a deer ran out right where there were a bunch dead along the road.  Yikes, I was glad to get out of those areas.  We had tried to call Bill’s brother Fred, but didn’t get an answer.  We were going to stop in to visit them.  He called back a half hour later, and said he was walking into a restaurant and couldn’t hear good, so waited to call back.  His son Joey was with them and is moving back to Michigan.  We are happy about that.

Marie called me, so when I saw it was her and she left a message, I called her back. I don’t have any hospital numbers in my phone, so I wasn’t sure who it was.  She was concerned about getting her house cleaned.  I talked to a friend at church and found out who she needed to call, but she wanted it cleaned before she comes home.  I told her I would be happy to go clean it if Roy let me in.  It was a big relief for her.  She told me she loved me when she hung up.  I’m so thankful for such sweet friends.

Bill relaxed when we got home and I worked on my blog.

Friday, 3/28/25, Kimmy, Vikki, Peyton, and Isaac came over, Met Debbie at Denny’s, went to garage sale, rain/hail storm, went for ice cream with Tina and Chris, Eli, Jack and Evan came to spend the night

Vikki, Peyton and Isaac got here first.  It wasn’t long and Kimmy came too.  Bill asked me if we should have Peyton go, but I told him I didn’t want Debbie having to buy his breakfast too.  I knew she would insist.  We got to Denny’s and greeted Debbie, then sat down.  She was a a big corner booth.   She asked me if Kimmy and Vikki and the kids were coming.  I told her no, but they were at our house.  Well, then I found out she had invited them and they were on their way.  We all missed Melissa, but at least I spent yesterday with her.  Debbie bought all of our delicious breakfasts.  She always does sweet and special things for my birthday.  We had fun visiting and we sure enjoyed our breakfasts.  Thank you Debbie!

Isaac rode home with Bill, and I rode with Kimmy, Vikki, and Peyton.  We went to what was listed as an estate sale, but today it had turned into a garage sale and it had hardly anything.  Didn’t find a thing there.  We came home and visited and then watched some Little House Episodes.  I had set the bread makers last night and both loaves were baked right on schedule.  I cut the bread with my Rada Bread knife and it was so hot I could hardly touch the top of it.  The knife is so amazing and it cut it perfectly without even squishing it at all.  We had chicken salad sandwiches and they were so yummy.  Ginny and Daniel came to buy some of Bill’s tools he was selling.  They came in and we talked for a minute, then they went out the other door and out to the shed.  It started pouring out and hailing as soon as they started walking.  Bill came in soaked.  The girls and I hung out longer and Vikki did the hot and cold game with me so I could find the last duck she hid.  It was in the press and seal box on the shelf in the utility room.  Good thing she helped me with that one.  After everyone left, Bill and I met Chris and Tina at Cream and Sugar.  It is a new ice cream place in town and they make the best bubble cones and their ice cream is amazing.  Yum!  We had fun sitting and visiting while we enjoyed our yummy homemade ice cream.  Kimmy called me and Eli, Evan and Jack wanted to spend the night.  I let her know when we were heading home.  Jared dropped Eli off and then shortly after Melissa dropped Jack and Evan off.   Eli brought a couple of pizzas with him.  The boys put their stuff upstairs, then came down and watched the end of the Michigan State game and the beginning of the Michigan game.  MSU won and the Michigan game is still going.  They had better pick up their pace and make some baskets.

Reading our Bibles now because we had a busy day and forgot.  Whoops.

Thursday, 3/27/25, Did laundry, vacuumed and scrubbed the floors, helped Bill place the wench in the right spot on the jeep bumper, went to Rehab to see Marie with Melissa, Zoom meeting with the state leadership in the evening

Evan greeted me right away with a big hug.  I got hugs from Hailey and Jack too, but forgot to take a picture of therm for my blog.
Bill relaxing in the swivel Lazyboy.

I slept in this morning and it sure felt good.  Put a load of laundry in when I got up, then ate cereal for breakfast and drank my coffee.  We read our Bibles.  Bill worked on the bumper of his Jeep.  I put worship music on from my playlist and then walked 1 1/2 miles on the walking pad.  I moved the speed up to 3.4 mph.  That’s a pretty fast pace for me.

I moved stuff, and vacuumed the tile floors downstairs.  Then I started scrubbing the floor on my hands and knees.  By the time I got finished with the kitchen and bathroom, I decided I would do the rest of the floors with a mop.  I was sore because of all the walking and muscle pain from it.  I vacuumed the living room after that.

I decided to check on Bill out in the shed and took him a bottle water.  He was just getting ready to put the part on the bumper that holds the wench.  I helped put the big hook through to the other side.  I walked around my garden and looked at plants coming up.  I have to dig up some grass patches, but it was way too wet today.

I went to Melissa’s at 4.  I went in and talked to the kids for a little while, then when Melissa was ready we left to go visit Marie in the rehab.  We walked into her room and neither she nor Roy were in there.  We walked out in the hall to see if we could see her going down it.  A girl came up to Melissa and started talking about when she had her for therapy.  The bright socks Melissa used to wear helped her to remember.  She was very sweet.  After that,  I asked and they told me she was down to the next floor and was visiting a friend.   I knew it was Cosmene’s room because Roy had told me she was in and gave me her room number the night before.  We walked in and they were surprised to see us.  We all had a great visit, sharing lots of good memories and catching up on our families.  When they started bringing food trays around, Roy said we needed to get back upstairs so Marie could eat.  As we were leaving Cos’s husband John came.  We said a quick hi and gave hugs, then went back upstairs to Marie’s room.  I helped Marie with open some seasoning and some pepper up, then Melissa and I left.  I dropped her off, then I went to Aldi and got some muffins and some strawberries, blueberries, avocados and KiWI.  I’m trying to eat more healthy foods.

When I got home, I ate a cabbage bun and finished the little bit of noodle casserole that was left.  At 7, we had a zoom meeting with the state leadership for CMA.  It went well and only two couples couldn’t make it on.  One had surgery today and the other was in a different country.  The meeting went well.  Bill always does a great job leading it.

I made bread dough and put it in both bread makers.  I set the timer so it will be done a little before noon tomorrow.  I also made chicken salad up.  Sam’s club is my favorite place to get canned chicken.  After I got everything all set for tomorrow when the girls come, I sat down and started working on my blog.

Wednesday, March 26, 2025

Wed. 3/26/25, Bill and Vikki put the new swivel on our Lazyboy, Bill went and helped Vikki get her swivel on too, I went to Cathy’s, met Melissa and kids at Biggby

Vikki picked up our swivel when she picked hers up.  Bill got me one for my birthday,  They worked together and got it on.  It works so good and it’s so nice to be able to turn in it. Thanks Vikki for being a great help.
Beautiful sunny day in the high 30’s with no wind.  My plants are continuing to blossom and are so fun to watch.

Ate oatmeal with raisins and banana for breakfast.  Enjoyed coffee in my Kimmy mug.  Afterwards I read my Bible.  Bill did too, but he had a head start, so he finished before me.
Vikki called Bill and was going to pick her swivel up for her Lazy Boy Chair.  She asked him if he wanted her to pick up his too.  She doesn’t work this week so it worked out good for us.  She came over and helped Bill put it on our chair.  They are a good team!  I assisted occasionally by holding the flashlight and of course by praying.  We all took a turn sitting it it afterwards.  It’s so nice!  Thank you Bill and Vikki!  They decided since Bill had the tools out, they would go and put Vikki’s swivel on her chair.   I didn’t go, because I had to get ready to go to Cathy’s.

I got to Cathy’s right at 2pm.  It was nice getting to visit with her.  We had fun working together to sort her mail, bills, etc. and file the piles we had.  Much more fun than doing it alone.  Her kitty came in the office with loud meows.  It is deaf, so that is why we figure it meows so loud.  It’s a really cute cat and very friendly.  Cathy and I had time afterwards, to sit and visit for a while.  Her new medicine is working and is helping her.  I was so happy to hear that.  Melissa called and said Hailey was on her way home and wanted to go to Biggby with us, so we happily waited for her to get home.  Bill was at DJ’s to have the bumper put on his Jeep.  DJ did a nice job painting it and putting it on.  It looks really good.  He called me when it was done and I let him know I was just leaving Cathy’s, was heading to meet Melissa.

I left around 5 and went to Jack’s on my way back and picked up birdseed, peanuts and suet.
One of the workers loaded the 50 lb. bag of birdseed in my car for me.  I only had 36 miles left on my tank of gas, so I went to Kroger to put a couple of gallons in.  Melissa called me and told me Hailey was almost home.  We decided to meet at Biggby and we all got there at about the same time.  Melissa, Hailey, Jack, Evan and I all got our 16oz. Caramel Marvel Latte for 95 cents.  Usually they are $7 so that was an amazing deal.  It is because it’s Biggby’s birthday.  We enjoyed drinking them and visiting.  We stayed there for quite a while.  It was 7:45pm when I got home.

I warmed up some chicken noodle casserole, then went in the living room and started working on the blog.
