Thursday, 10/29/26, Yay, today we found out Bagel is our puppy, we all love Bagel already. Bill and I went to Flint, stopped for donuts in Bridgeport, Maddy and I went to lunch, Bill worked on Jeep light, I researched the rest of people on our ballots for voting, made sirloin burgers for dinner,

Yay!  Bagel is going to be ours!  We are so happy!  He’s 7 weeks old in this picture.  He’s been the girls and Kenzie’s favorite from the beginning.  He’s been one of my two favorite from the beginning.  Biscuit was the other.  The breeder sent me this about his personality.  I know he’s the one for us now for sure.  I prayed God would pick the best one for us to have.

Cute picture Kenzie made and Rehvyn colored for Vikki for her birthday.

Vikki saw this beautiful rainbow this morning.  It wasn’t even raining she said.  God’s promise to us.

Bill and I got up and got ready to go to Flint this morning to pick up a headlight for his Jeep.  It was a beautiful day and sunny in the morning.  I got an email right before we left from our breeder saying we were a temperament match with Bagel.  We were so happy because he has been a favorite from the very beginning.  I texted a group message to the girls letting them know and sent a picture of the email.  They were just as happy and excited as me.  Kimmy called me right away after she saw the email.  After I talked to her, Melissa called me too.  I couldn’t talk to Vikki because she was at work, but she texted me at 11:19 while she was still at work just to let me know she was happy too.  I texted my sister, Brenda, too and sent her a picture of Bagel and the email the breeder sent.  She was happy and excited for me too.  She got her new puppy a few months ago.

Bill and I traveled along holding hands for a while.  Then he needed his hand to drink his coffee.  We met the person by Applebees, Bill bought the headlight, then we headed back home.  He asked me if I wanted to go anywhere, but I said no.  Then he asked me if I wanted to stop at the Buttercrust Bakery in Bridgeport which is our favorite, so of course I couldn’t say no to that.  We got our favorite donuts called Yum Yums.  They were out of the apple donuts or we would have gotten a couple of those too.  We ate our donuts and drank our coffees on our ride home.  They were Yummy!

Maddy came over today.  We went out to the shed so she could say hi to Bill.  Then we went to Chic fil A.  She ordered on her phone and we thought it was for pick up, but when we got there they wanted us to go through the drive through.  We did, then after we picked it up, we came back to my house to eat it.  Bill was in the house by then.  I shared my chicken strips and fries with him and shared my fries with Maddy.  She got the chicken tortilla soup.  She let me try a bite, but it was too spicy for me.  Glad I know that now.  We had a nice lunch an a nice visit.  We got specialty coffee drinks with our food, but they were stronger than usual Maddy said, so we added flavored creamer.  After we finished eating, we sat in the family room and visited under electric throws.  Bill wants to keep the heat off until November.  He’s starting to take after Kimmy and Jared lol.  I gave Maddy one of our donuts.  She only wanted a half so cut it in half.  She has lost 30 lbs. and does a lot of running and working out to stay in shape.  Alec has lost 40 lbs.  I didn’t think Maddy had that much to lose, but she showed me a before and after picture.  She is in great shape now which helps with having to carry the baby around.  He’s going to outpatient therapy now and is going to need braces on his legs.  He has started to army crawl around the house now which is nice and helps him build muscle that he needs.  I sure am praying for the little sweetheart.  Maddy left and I read my Bible after that.  Then I did my prayer books.  Also prayed lots for our nation and for family.

Bill was having a hard time with the light he put in not working.  Maddy and I had prayed he would have wisdom.  He came in and told me he had called Rody and he was coming to help.  Then he figured out what it was.  He has to get a small part and then all should go well.  Praise God!  I worked on researching the rest of the candidates I didn’t know on our ballots.  That took some time, but I got it done.

I made sirloin burgers, oven baked small potatoes with seasoning, onions and butter on them and corn from our garden.  It tasted so good.

I started an album for our new Puppy and moved pictures of him, his mom, dad, and brothers and sisters into it.  I told my breeder that his new name would be Asher which means blessed.  The girls picked it out because I always say What a Blessing and would tell my other dogs they were blessed, they lived in the home of the righteous.  I guess I will be speaking a blessing on this puppy.

Worked on todays, blog and then worked on catching up on the blogs I am behind on.

Wednesday, 10/28/26, Bill had a VA appt. then went to breakfast at Leo’s with church men, I walked on the walking pad, ate breakfast, did laundry, worked outside cutting plants down, planting mums, digging dahlia bulbs up to use next year,

Still some pretty color on our road

Kenzie made this picture for Vikki’s birthday and Rehvyn colored it.  So sweet.

Vikki drew this cute lamb in her journal Bible.  It’s so cute.

Bill went to his VA shoe appt.  After he got done, he went to breakfast at Leo’s with some guys from church.  I walked over a mile on the walking pad.  I played worship music while I walked and worshipped the Lord.  After that I ate breakfast.  I warmed my left over blueberry pancake with blueberry syrup up and had my coffee with it.  I read what my breeder wrote on her blog about more dog care and helpful tips.  I was glad to see she posted that McCann dog training is good on You Tube.  That is what Kimmy has been having me watch.  Bill got home and we read our Bibles/Prayer books.  Kimmy called me back after I tried calling her and we looked up some beds for small dogs.  I went to look at dog beds at Aldi’s and Walmart. Vikki called me when I went out to my car and said she has a bed I can have that Lucy doesn’t need because she has 3 beds.  Yay!  Money saved is money earned.  I ordered a nice blanket on Amazon and a 4 foot leash that the breeder said I should have to make training easier.  Today the dog brush I ordered and Lamb Chop came.  These were recommend by the breeder because her Havanese love them.  Melissa loves the brush and Kimmy said Lamb Chop was Wyatt’s favorite toy.

I went outside when I got home and cut down all my hostas, my Soloman’s Seal, and the golden rod plant that grew in my garden.  I tried to dig it up but couldn’t.  Bill said later that he will dig it for me.  I dug my dahlia bulbs up and put them in a brown bag to be stored in the dark cool room in the basement til next year.  I emptied the wagon into a Yard Waste container.  I picked up some sticks and put them on the burn pile.  I planted my white mum and my purple mum.  It was a beautiful day for it in the mid 70’s.  I washed off some garden decor and put it away.  Vikki called me and talked for a while.  She wondered why I sounded like I was working hard.  I wonder.

Bill picked Max up and took him to his appointment.  Afterwards they went to Culver’s and Bill texted me to see if I wanted to come.  I called him but they had already left.  He was going to pick me up something after he dropped Max off, but I told him I would just go get Culver’s.  I passed the new Dairy Queen on my way and it wasn’t too busy, so I went there and got a burger and a Blizzard.  They were good, but I like Culver’s better.

I worked on catching up on my blogs and talked to Melissa for a while.  I talked to Sue and talked to Vikki again too.  She sent me a picture of a motorcycle crashed and said it was the guy from their church who put in their water heater.  The motorcycle was totaled, but he was ok.  What a miracle.  We sure were thanking Jesus.

Got two days done on my blog.

Tuesday, 10/27/26, Did laundry, made breakfast, worked outside lots, went to prayer in the evening.

My Rehvyn FaceTiming with me
Kenzie sent me these cute pictures.  They had all kinds of machinery/tractors for kids to sit on and they gave them candy.  Rehvyn loved it so much,  He and his daddy dressed up and had lots of fun together.  Kenzie too.
Kenzie sent me pictures of his art project today.  She does lots of crafts and plays lots of educational games with him.  She’s a fun mom.
Bill vacuuming out the leaves from the bricked in area Kimmy and I planted ground cover in.
Worked cutting the hibiscus down and pulling zinnias out.  They were all dead from the frost so I didn’t get any zinnia seeds for next year.
Lucy and me
Isaac, Peyton and Lucy

I took my shower after I got lots of laundry going.  We have 2 weeks worth.  We had our coffee in the morning afterward.  We read our Bibles and did our prayer books, then after that, I made eggs, potatoes, sausage, and toast for breakfast.  We had orange juice with it.

Bill finished 2 Bibles he has been reading in a year.  Wow!  That is a lot of reading.  I am proud of him.

My breeder said I can pick up our puppy on November 7.  All three girls are going with me.  It will be a fun girls day out.  I am so excited.  So are the girls.  I am hoping she makes the appt. early enough so I can make it back for the Marine Corps Ball.

Today, dog shampoo, conditioner, and nail clippers. A couple of things I need to have when I pick the puppy up came too.

Bill and I worked outside lots.  He mowed the grass and blew the leaves.  Then he vacuumed them up with a big vacuum.  He worked hard.  I worked at cutting stuff down, and picking up sticks.  Filled a Yard Waste container.  Picked up subs for dinner.  Vikki stopped over with the kids.  I was so happy to see them all and get hugs.  Lucy came too.  She was super excited to see me.  I gave them their two bags of Beaver nuggets from Buck-ee’s.  We had a nice visit, then they had to leave.

I went to prayer in the evening.  It was so awesome and amazing how the Holy Spirit moved.  Such an awesome group of interceders.  What a blessing!

I came home and worked on catching my blogs up.  Slow and steady wins the race.

We went to bed at midnight.

Monday, 10/26/26, Don’t remember too much about this day, but did get to see Kimmy and Jared which was the highlight of the day.

I had a couple more baskets of stuff to bring in from the camper since we won’t use it until next year now.  I didn’t take any pictures today.  Kit Kat was happy we were home.  She sure wanted lots of attention.  We read our Bibles in the morning and did our prayer books.  Didn’t post this day right away and didn’t post pictures so don’t remember too much other than catching up on stuff and getting some outside stuff done.  In the evening, I met Kimmy and Jared at Costco because I needed to get gas and that was the cheapest, and I also wanted to give them their 2 bags of Beaver Nuggets we got from Bucc-ee’s.  Jared tried some right away and gave me one to try.  I thought it tasted ok, then I left and on my way home I was craving Beaver Nuggets.  So weird.  I loved seeing Kimmy and getting a hug and seeing Jared through the van window and talking for a few minutes.

Sunday, 10/25/26, Met up with Bev and Jim and ate breakfast at Cracker Barrel, spent the day traveling home with stops for bathroom breaks and gas, happy when we got home safely, Happy to talk to the girls,

Bev, Jim, Me and Bill at Cracker Barrel for breakfast

Color in Indiana was still kind of pretty

Michigan had some pretty spots where there was still color

Us following Jim and Bev...we followed them from Effingham, IL to Birch Run in Michigan

We got up, got ready, went in Cracker Barrel to go to the bathroom.  I did some looking around in the store while I waited for Bill.  We left around 7:30 in the morning.  We drove and got on the expressway, and Jim and Bev passed us.  We were so happy to see them and they were happy to see us.  Bev called me to see if we had eaten breakfast.  We hadn’t so we drove to the Cracker Barrel in Terri Haute and had a nice breakfast.  They had the fireplace going by us and it felt great.  After breakfast, we led for a while, then stopped for gas at a Love’s when it was time.  Jim led after that for a while.  We were so happy to see the Welcome Michigan sign.  It is always great to get back.  We traded in Michigan and we led when we got closer to Birch Run.  We were both dumping our tanks there.  Bev and Jim had to take their dogs out though so they told us to go first so we wouldn’t have to wait.

We got home around 7 and unpacked stuff right away while it was still light.  I decided to empty the refrigerator too because I wanted to be able to turn it off.  So I had to do that after dark.  Bill helped carry food baskets in.  I sent a text to the girls letting them know I was home and called them later.  I’m always happy to get back to them and hear their voices.  Can’t wait til I see them.  Bill’s always the same way.  We love our family.

Bill had to read his Bible because he didn’t have time in the morning.  I had gotten up early and had read mine.  After doing the food, I was happy I had mine read already.

Bill did a great job driving the motorhome all the way to Arkansas and back home.  I am
happy he is a great driver.

Sat. 10/24/26, Packed up everything, Bill hooked the trailer up to the motorhome with my guidance, he loaded the bike on the trailer after Ziggy brought it up, Ziggy prayed for us and then went to the morning service, we took off after we were all ready, had a beautiful ride on a beautiful day. We stopped at Lamberts again in Sikeston, Missouri. Then we drove til we got to Effingham, Illinois, then stopped at a Cracker Barrel for the night. I was around 9..

There was a big ole wasp on the top of the mirror on the right.  I couldn’t wait to get going so he would blow off.  I sure wasn’t taking him home with us.
Bill in the phone booth at Lambert’s in Sikeston

Me in the phone booth
We both got chicken strips dinners
I got 6 huge chicken strips, cottage cheese and chunky applesauce, Bill caught us each 2 rolls which are huge, then they bring around pass around bowls of fried okra, fried potatoes with onions, macaroni and tomatoes, and black eyed peas.  We didn’t eat any black eyed peas.  Bill didn’t have any fried okra either,  Everything was so good.  The waitress brought us 2 extra rolls to take home, plus we had 2 left we didn’t eat.  We took 4 of our chicken strips home and I took some fried potatoes.  We ate left overs for 2 days.

Bill did a great job driving all day and into the evening.  The country side was beautiful.  We only stopped for gas/potty breaks.  We ate lunch in the camper while we were going.  I cut up chicken strips for Bill and he ate a roll.  I had the same thing only had potatoes with mine.  We snacked during our drive too and listened to Christian music I had on my playlist on my phone.  We enjoyed our stop at Lambert’s for dinner again.  Such a fun place with great food and friendly waitresses and waiters and roll throwers.  We called Bev and Jim while we were waiting 30 minutes to get seated.  It ended up being 20 minutes.  They were 45 minutes behind us and we were just getting seated, so couldn’t wait for them.  We drove a couple of more hours and stopped to stay in a Cracker Barrel in Effingham, Illinois.  We didn’t even play a game after driving all day.  We relaxed, then went to bed early.  Thankful to the Lord for keeping everyone safe today.  We talked to Cindy and they were staying in a Cracker Barrel in Terri Haute a ways ahead of us.  Bev and Jim were staying in a town about the same distance behind us.  Russ and Marsha were staying in Indiana near Indianapolis at a hotel.  Travel will be resumed for all of us tomorrow.  Gayla texted me during the day to see where we were and how we were doing.  I kept her posted all day and let her know where we stopped for the night.

Friday, 10/23/26, Went to the evening service, 1,881 was the final registration total. What a blessed week of worship and teachings, fellowship and great food. We have much to thank God for. Now we are ready to get home to our family.

Thursdays total registered
Friday’s total registered..praise God...so awesome worshipping with so many believers in Jesus!
This whole area and both sides of it were full and the whole back area behind us where we have meals was completely full.

We hugged friends and told them goodbye as we will be leaving in the morning.  Lew and Cindy, Bev and Jim, and Marsha and Russ are leaving tomorrow morning too.  Marsha and Russ are riding their motorcycle all the way back to Alma to his brothers and then loading it on their trailer and driving the rest of the way home.  We are all praying for each other and all who will be leaving in the days after us.

We went back to the camper and visited with Ziggy.  We made our plan for the next morning on when we would be leaving.  Ziggy is going to pick up our trailer from the field and bring it up for us.  It is a little rough on a motorhome going down there.  He always does it for us.  He is staying another day and sleeping in his Jeep.  He has a mattress in it so said he will be fine.  I told Gayla he was staying and she said he could stay with them.  She told him the next day, but he said he would be fine in his Jeep and was leaving at 5 in the morning, so he didn’t want to wake them.  We went to bed at 10:30 and the plan was to leave at 9 in the morning.
