Isaac had cookie dough ice cream and it was coated in cookies. YUM!
Hailey and Evan got up early because Melissa called Hailey and had them come home. Bill and I slept in. I got up at 9 a few minutes after Bill and started getting ready in the bathroom. When I came out, Bill told me the kids left. Aww, I didn’t get to say goodbye, but oh well, I will be spending the day with them again. Yay! After I got ready, I made two big bowls of potato salad. I had the potatoes cooked and the eggs boiled, so just had to chop the celery and onion and then cut the potatoes and eggs and mix everything together and add Salad Dressing. I changed my clothes after that and then we left. Bill loaded the corn toss games and our chairs in the cooler already. He took the cooler out and then we carried the potato salad out and put them in the cooler. We got to the party around 12:30. Freddy and Ashton couldn’t make it because her grandpa who is 94 wasn’t doing good and they called all the family in. Joey and Chrissy didn’t make it either because they flew out to Oregon. Amanda, Alex and Emma didn’t make it either because it was his birthday and they were on a trip. Most of our family was there except McKenzie, Travis, Rehvyn, and Max. We had a fun day riding on the pontoon, visiting inside and also visiting outside on the deck. We had really good food. Debbie brought Zhenders chicken and muffins, I brought the potato salad, Shani brought macaroni salad, Vikki brought cut up watermelon, Kimmy brought cut up strawberries and Melissa brought blueberries. The fruit sure hit the spot on this hot day. Fred cooked burgers and brats. Everything was really good. Jack and Evan got to go for a water ride. They were both pulling on the rope and flipped themselves over. Then a buzzer kept going off, and Vikki googled it and it was letting them know the pontoon needed oil. Bill went to try to find some, but no one had it that he checked, then places were closed.
Debbie had to leave at 5:30 to get back to babysit Emma. It sure was. a fun day. Thank you to Fred and Lourdes for the nice family party. On the way home, Vikki called to let us know they were stopping for ice cream and asked if we wanted to. Our Jeep seemed to turn in automatically. Rody treated us all. Thanks Rody! We sure are blessed with a wonderful family!
