Debbie and I...friends since 20 years old, then sisters

We slept til 8:30.  I got ready, did my hair, then did my exercises.  I was too tired to do them yesterday and wanted to make sure I got them in today.  They help so much!  We read our Bibles, then I checked to see when Kimmy’s Christmas gift was coming.  I was pretty sure it was going to be Monday.  Well, I looked and it said her gift was cancelled and I wasn’t charged.  I ordered it on Dec 12., so I got on amazon chat and said I thought it was already charged on my card. Then I told them about the mix up with Kimmy accidentally using my card for her Christmas shopping, because even though she had marked her card, it defaulted to mine.  I told them it was a Christmas gift and I didn’t want it cancelled, and they should put it on another card instead of doing that.  They answered right away and told me it was still coming on schedule now.  Yay!  That sure made me nervous.  We thought it was going to make us late getting to Debbies for the Schaard Christmas Party.  We had to stop and pick up a relish tray on our way.  The relish tray stop didn’t take much time.  Today I can get in the Jeep without a stool.  Yay, more progress.  We made it to the party and were only 2 minutes late.  We talked to Kimmy and Jared on our way.  Kimmy took pottery pictures today, so they were going to be about 45 minutes late.  They were on their way while we were talking though.  Jared told me to be sure and not miss doing my exercises and that I should do them twice today.  He sure cracks the whip.

We got there and Vikki, Rody, and Peyton and Isaac were there already.  Debbie and Sonny were there too, helping.   We hugged Debbie, Tom and Matthew, then hugged everyone else.
Melissa, Bruce, Max, Hailey, Jack, Evan and Lydia came next and we hugged them.  Then Kimmy, Jared, Jacob, Adam and Eli came and we hugged them.  Mykenzie and Rehvyn were the last getting there and we got our hugs from them too.  I love our family and our family Christmas.  Both Debbie’s wouldn’t let me help with anything today because of my surgery.  They were sweet and did everything.  We snacked on lots of good sausage, cheese, candy, nuts and (cookies that Lydia’s mom made yesterday and sent. They were beautiful, many kinds and delicious.).  We quit sacking so we would have room for dinner.  There was baked chicken, mashed potatoes, squash, Mac and cheese, and lasagna, plus rolls.  Then we had different kinds of pies for dessert.  Everything tasted delicious.

We opened gifts after we ate, then we all played some fun Bingo.  Bruce called the numbers.  It took a while, but I finally won.  Debbie gave me a cute Bronner’s post card ornament with their logo on one side and our address on the other side.  I quit playing after that.  Bill was the last one to win.  He won $5 in nickels.

We left after that and drove through downtown Frankenmuth to look at the lights.  It was so pretty and  the horses and carriages were traveling down the road too.  We always went driving through Frankenmuth when the kids were little to look at the lights.  It is a yearly tradition and we still love it.

We came home and I worked on my blog.  (I didn’t fall asleep tonight lol). I am going to church tomorrow so will be going to sleep as soon as I’m done though.  It was such a nice day!  Debbie and Tom made everything special.
