We left our hotel in Logan, Ohio and headed for home.  Got  home around 2 p.m.  We stopped and picked up all of our mail that was held for us and then got home and unpacked.  There was a huge box that Bill told me was mine for my birthday.  While we were on our trip, we went into a nice furniture store and I showed him a mirror with a jewelry compartment behind it.  The doo slid to the side, so I told him I wanted one some day but I wanted the door to open, not slide. Well he ordered it and it came to our house so he had Vikki put it inside.  Poor Vikki because it was pretty big and heavy.  He had me open it and it was beautiful.  There is a picture of it on 3/18/18.  Vikki, Isaac, Peyton, Kimmy, Jacob, Adam and Eli came over and brought Lucy for us to meet.  I was so happy to see everyone and catch up on hugs.  I was pretty excited to see Lucy too!  What a sweet and beautiful little puppy.  I love her coloring and her little white paws.  We all had fun holding her.
After they left, Melissa, Bruce and the kids came over.  They had been to Jack's basketball party.  The boys had eaten, but Melissa, Hailey and Bruce didn't so I picked up an extra big pizza and a no cheese for Bill.  Well, the boys were still hungry so they ate with us...Ally was here too.  It was amazing because we had some pizza left over.  Evan did eat a piece of Bill's.  Max doesn't usually eat much, but he loves pizza now and wanted some.  Glad to see him eating better.  We had fun and it was so good to see them and get my hugs from them too.  I love my family!!! Bill put the jewelry case mirror together and I put everything in it before I went to bed.  It is so nice!  So sweet of him to surprise me like that!  Sure do love him!

3/15/18..Left Pam and Dick's, traveled to Logan, Ohio and spent the night at a Baymont Hotel.

Pammie, Dick, me and Bill.  The fish on the fireplace was a piece of driftwood Pammie bought at a driftwood shop for $20.  Dick made it into this fish. He made the TV stand.  it has sailboats carved in the shelves on the back.  The fireplace opening on the left is gas, and there is another behind us which is for burning wood.

I took this picture while we were driving.  We stopped at the next exit and the guy in the gas station told Sue it has been on the Andy Griffith Show.  I will have to check it out.

Entering into Virginia

Love the mountains

Went through two tunnels.  They still have snow but it was 60 degrees out..

In the tunnel.  I can't go through a tunnel without thinking of Jack Bauer on 24  since watching it.
We got ready in the cabin. Headed to the house and noticed Dick was in his workshop.  Stopped to say good morning.  He was cutting wood for pens that Bill wants to make.  Bill ordered wood but it came in a big piece.  We went in the house and Pammy had everything ready for breakfast.  She wanted to make eggs but we told her we wanted cereal.  We had delicious homemade toast with it and homemade jam.  Also had yogurt and fresh raspberries, blueberries and strawberries.  We took some pictures together and then We walked back to the cabin.  Pam and I went in to get my earrings and check that we had everything.  On our way out, she gave me a beautiful large wooden Bible Box Dick had carved and made.  They had one in their house she has showed me.  A Catholic Diocese in New York had wanted him to make 1000 for them.  He didn’t want to get into making that amount.  She also gave us a beautiful picture of their lake.  We thanked them and gave our hugs goodbye and left.  Shortly after we were on the road, we saw a beautiful Eagle right close to the road sitting in a tree.  I took a picture of a Rocky Mountain peak and when we stopped the guy at the gas station said it was on the Andy Griffith Show.  Will have to check that out.  When we got into The mountains in Virginia, there were flashing signs over the road saying there was a high wind advisory.  Those were some strong winds!  We  Stopped and ate lunch at a Cracker Barrel.  Drove until 6:30 p.m.  Got to Logan, Ohio and stayed at a Baymont.  There was a Walmart just across the road and down a little bit.  I returned the baby stuff I had gotten for Chris and Angie's baby and forgot at our condo.  Also found some yarn I really like for dishcloths. Got Arby's which is right across from our hotel too and brought it back to the hotel to eat.  No one wanted to swim, but I needed exercise and the girl said the pool temp was 86 degrees, so I went by myself.  I almost didn't go because we were at one end of the building and the pool was at the other.  I did though and the water was so warm and nice.  I swam for a long time.  This couple came in and she asked me how the water was.  I told her it was warm, but they just got in the hot tub.
I swam longer and then got in the hot tub with them.  We started talking and they were from Ohio, but have been to Bronner's several time and have been to the Mackinaw Bridge, Island and Grand Hotel.  They told me they have been to Ann Arbor for games too.  I told them I have been in Ann Arbor lots and started telling them about Melissa and how God healed her.  When I told them she had had Gullian Barre' Syndrome, I said have you ever heard of that and they said yes, she had had it too.  They wanted to hear every detail about Melissa and said several times how happy they were that she was doing great now.  The lady didn't have it as bad as Melissa, but still had it bad.  Her husband was a dentist and said it was horrible for her to go through.  They were the nicest people.  I sure am glad I went swimming so I could meet them.

3/14/18...Left our hotel in Hnderson, got to Pam and Dick's at 10:30. We had such a nice time relaxing and visiting with them.

Love this sink in Pam's bathroom.  When you turn the water on, it falls from the top round thing onto the bottom.

Sister and Brother (Pam and Bill)

While we ate dinner, we watched the sun set over the lake

Dick and Bill relaxing and eating ginger

Indian girl on the couch up in the loft where we slept.

We ate breakfast at our Hotel in Henderson, NC.  Everyone was so nice there and very hospitable.  They had a goodie bag for us to take with us when we left.  It had two water bottles, an apple, and two granola bars in it.  So nice.  We tried to call Pammie, but she didn't answer.  We wanted to let her know we would be early, 10:30 instead of 12 noon.  We got there and she had left her phone in the house and was starting a fire in the wood burner in the cottage for us.  They had put gates up, so we all parked behind the gate and walked around and up to the house.  Dick came out to meet us and used his remote to open the gate.  We all went out to surprise Pammie.  We all went in there house and visited until lunch time.  Then Pammie put egg salad, ham, turkey, salami, a veggie tray, a fruit tray, chips, bugles, cheese they brought back from the Netherlands, and delicious homemade bread.  We made out sandwiches and ate.  Charlie wasn't feeling too good.  He was constipated so he was watching what he ate.  We visited some more and Charlie and Sue went out to the cabin and took a nap.  It is just amazing to see all the furniture, bowls, etc. that Dick has made, not to mention the cabinets and kitchen cupboards.  He also made these nice lights in the living room.  They saw them in Colorado, but they cost 2,800 dollars.  He came home and made them.  He has build 3 sailboats too.  Amazing that he and Pam could have built that beautiful house, workshop and Cabin.  They are very talented for sure.  Charlie and Sue came back in after a couple hours.  Pammie cooked us boneless pork chops, round new potatoes, corn on the cob and we also had salad.  She served us and had the food for each of us on a fancy plate that she placed in front of us.  She wouldn't let us do anything no matter how many times I offered.  I did get to help clear the table off after we ate though.  She was busy in the kitchen and couldn't stop me.  She made cheesecake and it was the best cheesecake I have ever tasted.  She also had made chocolate chip ice cream and vanilla ice cream.  Everything was so good.  We sat around visiting more.  Charlie and Sue went to bed early because he still wasn't feeling good (better because Pammie gave him Milk of Magnesia) but still not great.  We went to the cabin about an hour later.  I slept really good in the loft.  Did you girls notice Dick's yellow crocs?  He reminded me of you girls the way he loves crocs.

3/13/18 Stayed at our hotel til 9:30 a.m., Went next door and walked through Camping World. seen. Traveled all day. Stopped at a Cracker Barrel for lunch, Stayed in Henderson, North Carolina.

Katelyn and Rocco got to hold their babies in the NICU today.  Brings back memories of Peyton and Isaac

This is our pool 3 floors below us.  Guess we won't be swimming, but if there was a fire it would make a good trampoline to land on.

We ate a great breakfast (scrambled eggs, American fried potatoes, sausage, yogurt, waffles, and fruit.  Lots of other stuff to have but would have been way to full.  Fresh baked cookies in the lobby every day from morning to late at night too.  We left at 9:30 a.m. and went to Camping World next door.  It was huge.  I've never seen such wonderful camping stuff.  Only bought two things though.  We got a nice key holder to hang by the door of the camper and a squeegee for the shower.  We traveled and stopped for lunch at a Cracker Barrel.  I got my favorite grilled chicken tenders with mashed potatoes.  Got Vegetable soup to go with it too. Also had a Blackberry cobbler and Bill had a frosted glass Hot Fudge Sundae. We arrived in Henderson where we are staying at 4:00.  Very nice room again.  Nice coffee bar, but didn't see any cookies yet.  There was a cute towel and washcloth made into a flower with candy in it on our bed.  Very hospitable here!

3/11/18...Packed up, Went to I HOP for breakfast, Went and saw Jeff in MT. Pleasant, N.C. at the rehab he is in, Went to Myrtle Beach and spent the night

The twins...their mommy is peeking between them and daddy is holding one

Jeff and Bill visiting at the rehab

Vickey, Jeff, Sue, Bill, me and Charlie

We got up and packed up our stuff.  We went to I Hops and had breakfast.  Vickey followed us there.  We ate and then started heading to Mt Pleasant, NC where JEFF is in rehab.  Vickey went home to get her dog and then headed there too.
JEFF was happy to see us when we got there.  What a miracle he is.  He fell out of a tree stand a couple of years ago and landed on his head. It was a blessing his brother checked on him and found him and called an ambulance which had a hard time getting back to where he was.  He has diabetes and has had a foot wound that just started healing after a year.  His heart was only working at 15%.  Had a heart attack when he was a pilot in the service at 25 years old.  Just had sepsis and mersa at the same time. Had to have his pacemaker removed and a plate taken out of his foot and wait for those infections to be gone before they put the pacemaker back in. Now is is in rehab and looks better than all the other patients in the rehab.  They are talking about sending him home soon.  He wants to go to Panama City and stay at the condo there for 3 weeks!  Amazing recovery because of all the prayers God has answered!  We left there and headed to Myrtle Beach.  Staying a a Country Inn which I love.  So nice here!  We went sight seeing and then ate at Texas Longhorn!  It was delicious!  Came back and relaxed at our hotel and booked a room for tomorrow night. Sabrina sent me a message with pictures!  Her daughter, Katelyn, had the twins.  Both boys!  Milo weighed 5 lbs. 15oz. and Boedy weighed 4 lbs. 6 oz..  Such beautiful babies!  I am so happy for them.  They had invitro done like Vikki.  Two more miracles!

Pretty gloomy day with some rain.  Not many people out  at Myrtle Beach.  Love the big sky wheel but didn't get to ride on it

This amusement park is right across from the beach

Loved seeing this restaurant with the big crab by the door

The Alabama Theartre

Inside...amazing that the person who helped us was from Saginaw.  She left when she was little.

The picture on the screen turned out much better than the one I took of them on stage

Grand Finale

We ate a delicious breakfast at our hotel and then drove along the beach in Myrtle Beach.  It was sprinkling out but stlll a nice time seeing everything. Saw beautiful homes along the water that make the huge homes in Bay City look tiny.  We went to the Alabama Theatre to get our tickets for the performance, but it was canceled because three members of the cast are sick with the flu.  The lady that was at the desk in the middle called us over and asked us how we would like to go see the Carolina Opry at 7 pm instead.  She said if we spent two hours at Wyndham listening to their presentation, they would give us a free dinner buffet and the Opry tickets for free.  We decided to do that, determined that our answer would be no even if they high pressured us.  We walked around at a furniture store to pass time until time to go.  I got a call from Louise and after she said hi, her daughter Becky got on.  They are in Florida.  Her daughter said Louise had a tiny heart attack and was having trouble breathing.  Becky said she was doing ok though.  They were just taking her for an Echo.  Louise wanted us to be praying.  We stopped and prayed right away.  The buffet was all you could eat.  There was chicken strips, shredded barbecue chicken, meatballs, mac and cheese, green beans and rolls. The person assigned to the four of us took us to a table to eat and gave us time to enjoy our food and then came back and talked a little with us.  The head presentation person talked (she was very good and funny and she played a dvd.)  Then Broderick, our sales person, talked some with us again and we followed him to one of their facilities to see the rooms.  They were absolutely beautiful and fun just to go through.  We went back to the place we started and he told us the price.  Only 100,000 for the top package.  We stuck to our no, and he was very nice.  We talked to him about the Lord and he was a Christian and showed us his phone with a verse a day on it.  He had only been there 2 weeks.  He reminded me of Rody and because of Rody's name it helped me remember his.  He wasn't high pressuring us at all.  Then his manager came over and presented a cheaper package.  He didn't high pressure either.  Than a third guy came and offered a better deal.  They were all nice with no pressure.  We stuck to our no and got out of there with our free tickets and full tummies.  I don't like doing that though because I stiff feel under pressure.  Still easy to say no at those prices though.  Instead of two hours, it was four.  It was rainy out though so we listened to the whole thing.  Gayla called me and said Louise has to have a heart Cath tomorrow.  She has aortic stenosis.  Please pray for our dear sweet friend who is 93.
We went to the Carolina Opry and it was fun and they had great voices and musical talent.  They had a very funny comedian too.  They honored all the veterans (many stood when they said to).  They played God Bless America in their honor.  Very touching.  It was two hours long.
