Jacob always does an outstanding job in the marching band
The band was the b best part of the parade!  Jacob is 4th from the back on the closest side
He does the moves so gracefully and has fun while he does it

Hailey's cabin.  She got moved in today for her summer job at Spring Hill

I watered a few with plants with the sprinkler this morning early.  Made some iced coffee and had my oatmeal.  Got some things ready for when the kids and grandkids come today.  The boys are going to help Bill get the air conditioner and Eli is bringing two friends over to work on a school wood shop project.  I got ready and went to meet Kimmy, Jared and Eli in Sanford to ride to the parade with them.  This is Jacob's last time in it.  I decided to just make potatoes on the grill today instead of potato salad because I wanted to see him in it.  It was a last minute idea to get together or I would have made the potato salad yesterday.  Hailey had to leave to go to camp where she will work for the summer.  Jacob did amazing in the parade.  I always love watching him march besides listening to him play.  The band was the best part of the parade!  They all did great!

Kimmy and Jared took me back to my car, and I headed home.  I made some brownies, then peeled and cut up the potatoes.  Vikki and Peyton got here.  Later Kimmy and her crew came, then Rody and Isaac.  Melissa, Jack and Evan got here right as it was time to eat which was nice.  Bruce came later after he went to get some stuff from a garage sale.  We all enjoyed spending time on the deck visiting and relaxing.  It was cool out on the deck, even though it was hot outside today.  We prayed and then got our food and went outside to eat.  The younger kids ate in the basement.  Kimmy and Jared had to have Eli's friends home by 8, so they left first.  Vikki and Peyton left next because of having school tomorrow.  Rody and Isaac were next.  Bill and Jack took an electric bike Bill gave Rody over to his house for him.  They came back and played ping pong.  I will have to add those picture tomorrow.  Melissa and I just enjoyed relaxing, talking and we also spent some time praying.

Read my Bible, then read on my book.

Watching a dog show in Frankenmuth.  This dog we were standing by was so cute!
Video of dog show is last below

Bill got caught in the Cheese Trap lol
I was just going to tell Vikki I didn't have any humming birds come this year, and when I went outside to see if any orioles landed on the new feeder she gave me, I saw this hummingbird.  It was so cute and stayed a long time

I read my Bible in the morning and made us both a coffee.  We had good prayer at church before the service.  It was amazing worship and another awesome message.  Lots came up for prayer afterwards when the prayer team and Elders went up to pray for people.  We prayed for Tracy, Lauren (Brittany's 13 year old niece who came up all by herself), and for Dylan and Susie.  Melody came up too, just to let us know that after we prayed for her about a month ago, she hasn't had depression since.  You could just see the difference in her.  Praise God for answering and healing her.  Such joy praying for people and then seeing God answer.  What an awesome God.

Bill and Brad rode to Bubba's again and stayed for an hour.  Then I met Bill at Jen's and we all rode to the Caro Chapter meeting.  It was a good meeting and the chapter is growing which is great.  They were all very kind to us and welcoming.  We hadn't seen them in a while.  We left there and rode to Frankenmuth and watched the dog show for a little while, then walked around Frankenmuth through the River Place.  It was pretty hot out in the mid 80's and Jen had long sleeves on, so we left after that and rode back to their house so I could pick up my car.
Bill started filling the pool up to the hose hole so it's ready to connect the filter, then run water in to fill it the rest of the way.  Peyton and Isaac are pretty excited and wanted to know if it would be ready tomorrow.  They don't care if it is freezing lol.  Oh to be a kid again.  Lots to do yet, so don't think it will be clean and ready tomorrow yet.  Maybe the next day.

Hailey texted me when she landed at Chicago today.  She drove with her friend back to her friend's college (her friend can have a car this year) and then her friends parents paid for Hailey to fly back.  She flew all by herself and did great.  She's one brave girl.  I went to see her tonight because she will be going to a Christian summer camp to work this summer.
I will be excited to har from her when she gets settled.

The blossoms are so pretty on my Clematis now

Lilacs are in full bloom and are so beautiful.  They smell so good too
Woodpecker likes oriole food
Kit Kat snoozes so sound next to me.  She doesn't even move when I get up
Bill and I uncovered the pool.  Not too bad.  Won't need too many chemicals to clear it up.
Pictures Vikki sent me of their day at Kenzie's.  Eli with Myles above and Vikki, Kimmy, Kenzie, Eli and Peyton below.  They had a fun time.

Kenzie sent me these pictures.  Blueberries plants they planted today.  Also below is a planter Kenzie got.  It reminded her of me.  I have one somewhat like it.  Hers is so cute!

We got ready in the morning, I ate cereal, we read our Bibles, then we headed out on the motorcycle to meet up with Faith Riders to ride to Bubba's.  When we got there, there was only 6 of us, which was strange.  Mark and Jeff checked the email from Faith Riders and it said it is tomorrow not today that they are riding.  We decided it was so nice out that we would all still go.  Plus we all wanted to be in church tomorrow morning.  Bill led the group and did a great job.  We got to see friends from Trinity Riders that we haven't got to see for a while which was really nice.  We got to hang out with Brad and Jen and get to know them better which was nice too.  We got to meet and talk to people we didn't know too. We got there at around 10 and stayed till around 3:30.  We ate at 3 and the food was really good.  They served the food and were very careful which was nice.  After we got done eating, we left for home.
It was a nice ride.  We went by where the 18 yr. old from Hemlock was in the car accident and was killed which was sad.  They have barrels with flashers up there because they went in the ditch and hit a driveway culvert and did damage.  He was a passenger and drinking was involved.  He was an only child.  His name was Dax.  I am praying for his family.

When we got home, we took the cover off of the pool. Bill had suctioned the water off the cover yesterday, so it was dry and easy to get off.  We put the hose in to fill up the water to where the filter goes.  We are going to have some very hot weather, so want to have it filled and have it warm up quickly.  No rain in the forecast, so I am watering plants too.  We went to get the pool water tested and find out if we need anything we don't have for it, but they were closed.  I talked to Melissa.  They had gone out to Frankenmuth for the dog show.  Max loved watching the Border Collies herd the sheep.  It was hot and very crowed, and there was a medical emergency which postponed the next event, so they left early.

Kimmy, Vikki, Eli and Peyton went to Kenzie's to hang out.  They planted some blueberry bushes, went to a thrift store where Vikki found some good finds, and Kenzie made yummy spaghetti for them.

Friday, 5/26/23, Happy 18th Birthday Jacob, We love you! Went to Maddy's, went to Kenzie's, face timed with Jack,

Happy 18th Birthday Jacob!  We love you so much and we are so proud of you.  Go Green!  Cool shirt and wonderful cake.

Kenzie made delicious roast, carrots and potatoes in the crockpot.  It was so delicious and it was fine dining for sure.  She made us delicious and nutritious drinks too.
Selfie of Kenzie and me
The lilacs are now in full bloom
My hydrangea bush is looking beautiful now too.
These lilac bushes smelled so good while I was on the deck bird watching today.
It was chalk spraying day at the kids school today.  Peyton got covered.  Isaac didn't want to do it because he didn't want to get his heelies dirty lol.
More iris's coming
Oriole on the feeder and another sitting in the tree
Rose-breasted Grossbeak visited today too.  Lots of other beautiful birds too.
Last picture of Jack's class.  They returned home late last night.  Jack two rows behind the girl in bright pink.

I had texted Jacob at 12:02 a.m. and wished him a happy birthday.  I told him to have his mom call me when he was up in the morning so I could call him.   He texted me in the morning, so I knew he was up.  I called Kimmy's phone and talked to him and wished him a happy birthday and sang the birthday song to him.  We talked for a few minutes about his old age lol.  He's always so much fun to joke with.

I got ready, ate my oatmeal, and then went to Maddy's.  Brielle was falling asleep, so Maddy texted me asking if I would carry her upstairs when I got there at 10.  When I came in quietly, Brielle noticed and that was that...she woke up and stayed awake until about 11.  I played with her for a while while Maddy rested.  Then I changed her diaper and fed her.  She was on my lap, and we were watching worship on TV and she fell sound asleep.  I carried her upstairs and put her to bed.  Then I helped Maddy with getting her lunch ready and some other things around the house.  Around noon, her mom came over (she lives next door) and was going to take Maddy and Brielle to the store just to get them out of the house.  I forgot to get a picture of Brielle.

I went to Kenzie's early then.  We took the raccoon she had trapped, and released it in a beautiful wooded spot with water.  We saw deer and a woodchuck, so it will be a perfect place for Mr. Raccoon.  It took a while to release it because a tarp had gotten caught and was keeping the bar from releasing.  I got it to release, but it would snap shut before the raccoon got out.  He was trying to go to the back of the cage.  Kenzie got a stick, and when I opened the cage the next time, she gave him a poke and he took off running.  We went back to her house and ate a fabulous meal (we both had second helpings it was so good) and she made and had cranberry strawberry juice.  Kenzie put a strawberry on the edge of our glasses to make it look pretty.  She also made us a coconut milk, cranberry juice and dried strawberry drink that was super delicious.  It was a Starbuck Recipe she got.  She showed me the downstairs baby room and the upstairs baby room they are working on.  They have redone all of the floors in the house except the bathroom and it looks amazing.  Thank you Kenzie for such a fun day with you at your place, for the delicious food, and for the wonderful wax melts.  I love you so much.

I came home and watched birds, read the Bible, and then Bill put a movie in called Be the Light.  It was a good movie.
