We planted our garden in the evening.  Bill and Isaac worked on putting the electric fence wiring up and Peyton and I planted the plants and seeds.  Isaac planted a plant too and a row of corn when he finished getting the fence wiring up.

We went to prayer, then to church.  It was celebration Sunday with 5 baptisms and 22 new members. Three of the people getting baptized were people we had met at Nori's Restaurant.  Bill had his New Life Sweatshirt on and when we got up to leave, they asked us where our church was.  We told them and invited them to come.  The next week they were there and they have been coming ever since which is over a year now.  It was especially touching to us to see them follow Jesus in baptism.  All of the people getting baptized had amazing testimonies of what God had done and was doing in their lives.

After church, Diane, James, Maddy and Brielle went with us to Olive Garden for dinner.  We had a nice time.  Diane is going to have another grand baby around Dec 16.  We told her we were going to be great grand parents around Dec 8.  Funny how the dates are so close.  James surprised us and paid for all of our meals while he was paying for theirs.

We came home and then Vikki brought the twins over to swim and spend time with us.  She and Rody were going to look at refrigerators.  Bill tilled both garden areas and did a great job.  Peyton, Isaac and I swam for a while.  They swam at least 2 hours.  I swam about an hour.  We got out of the pool and the kids had drumsticks.  Then we went to Boehler's to get our plants for the garden and my flowers for the deck.  The kids were great helpers.  Isaac pulled the wagon the whole time and Peyton helped carry plants to it.  I took a picture of them and a really nice lady came up to me and told me to get with them and she would take a picture of all of us.  She was so kind.

I texted with Matthew and he was doing fine today.  Praising God of course.  Peyton and Isaac swam again for a long time while I read my Bible on the deck.  I had to have a blanket out there today because it was cool and windy in the shade.  Peyton and Isaac played so good together in the pool and had so much fun.  I made them Mac and Cheese when they were done which was per their request.  They wanted to spend the night and I thought it was a great idea because we planned on having them help with the garden tomorrow anyway.  We asked Vikki and she said yes.

Bill and Isaac went out to work on the electric fence, hooking the wires back up.  Isaac sure was a great helper.  I planted my flowers in pots on the deck.  Peyton came out and we planted the garden.  She was an amazing helper too.  Isaac helped some, but he really loved helping Papa with the fence.  Peyton loves planting the garden so it was perfect.  I loved planting it with her.  Easy Breezy with those kiddos helping us.  In a couple of hours we were done.  Then we had to water it because it is so dry here, with. no rain in the forecast.

We watched Homeward Bound 2 in the evening and the kids and Bill had popcorn and M & M's.  I had cashews and M & M's.  We laughed a lot while we were watching the movie and also at a funny joke of Isaac's.

Afterward,  I read the Bible (per Peyton's request) prayed over them, and tucked them in.  They are such easy kids to have around and so helpful.  I took a bath, and finished my blog.

Adam's last soccer game of the summer.  He and the team played great.  It was a tie game

Adam, Matthew and Debbie
Eli, me, Debbie, Adam and Matthew
We all went to the Olive Garden for dinner after the game.  Adam didn't come because he went swimming with friends.  We got him a to go meal though.  Got to take care of our Adam!

I woke Jacob up at 7:30, then he actually got up at 8.  We left at 8:45 to go to the Kevin Beemer memorial ride.  He was our close friend who passed away at 51 last year.  His kids were all there, but his wife was too sad to come.  I texted with her and sent her pictures.  Bill went on the ride, but Jacob and I came home.  We gave Vicki's daughter, Meredith, a ride home because she just got braces and her mouth was hurting.  When we left her house, we passed Bill and the rest of the motorcyclists in his group.

When we got home, Jacob and I watched the K Love Fan Awards.  So many great worshippers with amazing voices, great testimonies and the Holy Spirit moving in an awesome way.  We both loved it so much.  It was so much fun watching it with him because we both had voted, plus it was fun commenting together on the amazing singers.  I am so glad I stayed home with Jacob and didn't go on the ride.  This will always be a special memory.

We stopped at McDonalds and Jacob got a McChicken sandwich and a large Diet Coke.  I got a cheeseburger and had my cold brew coffee I made.  We got to Midland and were on the road to the soccer complex and I got in the wrong lane.  I had to turn and got through a bank parking lot and then back on the road I was on.  Then we got to the soccer complex and Matthew texted to see if we were bringing water to Adam's soccer game.  We only had drinks for us, so we decided we would go to McDonalds and get drinks for him and his mom.  Once again I got in the wrong lane, so we had to turn, but Jacob looked it up on my phone and we were headed for a McDonalds where we could get drinks.  Then we got a message back from Matthew saying we didn't need to bother because they stopped and got drinks.  We turned around and I drove great with no wrong turn lanes on the way back.  When we got out of the car, Kimmy called and said Debbie and Matthew were there, but didn't know where to go.  I called Matthew and gave them directions to come to the circle with the flags.  We met them and Jacob helped get Matthew out of the van and onto his Amigo.  We went and found Kimmy and Jared and watched Adam play in his last game of the summer.  He and his team played great and tied the other team.  It was a tense game to say the least.  Afterward Jared took Adam home and then to meet friends to swim.  We all went to Olive Garden and ate, and Jared got there right as the food was being served.  It was yummy and we all had a nice time.
Bummer though, when we went to leave Matthew went over the curb with his Amigo and started teetering and fell over.  The boys and Jared got him up and back on the Amigo and we all prayed for him.  He said he was ok.  We all felt so bad for him falling.  He is just the nicest guy and cares about everyone.  I texted Debbie later and she said he was doing fine.  Praise God.
Bill and I watched the K love fan awards when I got home.  Bill had a good time on the ride.
I was happy to see him when I got home.

Friday, 6/2/23, Bill fixed rotatiller, Kenzie had her reveal party here, the kids swam, Jacob spent the night

These pictures are in reverse order of the day except for the evening ones on the deck, but I didn't want to go to all the trouble of moving them

We were so excited.  Kenzie came to reveal what gender the baby is.  Pink flower would be a girl and Yellow flower would be a boy

Bill got the new motor in the rototiller.  He’s amazing.  It works so good

More beautiful flowers today

I took a picture of Adam being silly.  He was taking selfies instead of taking our picture like he was supposed to.  He always keeps us laughing

Jacob wanted to spend the night which made us so happy.  He, papa and I played Deer in the Headlights.  We had lots of fun.  I ended up winning which meant I had to pick up the game.
Jacob was sure to spread all the cards out all over.

Bill went with Charlie to see if Charlie could remember where the water pipes at church were located underground.  He had helped with them many years ago. It was a little cooler this morning so I dug up my Chive plant and put it in garbage cans.  It got so huge and was spreading quickly.  Kenzie wanted some so I sent some home with her later.  I transplanted my Kalanchoe plant in the house to a bigger pot.
I weeded the flower garden.  The ground is super hard with all this dry weather.  Flowers are all doing good though.  Kenzie and Vikki FaceTimed me while they were making cupcakes for her reveal at Travis's sisters tomorrow.  Then they called to ask if they could do a reveal party at our house tonight.  Yay!  I am so excited to find out what this baby is.  Kimmy called me and said Jacob wanted to spend the night and asked if it was ok.  It sure was.  We always love having Jacob or any of the grandkids for that matter.  Everyone came around 7.  We all sat on the deck and Kenzie had me, Melissa, Vikki and Jared take the bags off the plants to reveal the gender of the baby.  Yellow is what they were and means we will be having a great grandson. We're praying for this sweet blessing and will be happy to meet him when he arrives.  There are more pictures I have to get from Vikki of the reveal.  We all sat outside talking, playing the 21 game and eating some snacks.  I started the gas fire pit when it started cooling off outside.  It hasn't cooled off that much in a while.  The kids all had fun swimming.  Jacob and Adam swam last and stayed in a long time too.  Kenzie and the girls went out with me to plant my lily plant.  I dug the hole, Kenzie put it in, I pushed dirt back around it, Vikki watered it, Kimmy helped did some Lillies of the Valley out from under my peace plant out there.  Then she had the boys move the bridge to a different place and Jacob moved the bird bath.  Vikki filled it with water.  Everyone pitched in.  It sure was a fun day.
