Thurs. 10.25/24, Kimmy, Eli, Vikki, Melissa, Jack, and Adam came over today. Fun day. Moved pond fish to the basement, hung out, ate lunch, nice family day, went to Wes and Gayla's

Rehvyn had a great check up at the doctors this morning
Kimmy was driving Eli and me to Jack’s.  Beautiful colors on the way.
Eli and Jack...Eli had a half day of school and Jack had the whole day off
Jack in his fencing gear
Adam in the relaxed mode...he was walking pretty good on his sore leg
Bill was letting the boys target practice!  He’s such a good grandpa

Kimmy and Vikki got here at the same time.  We drank our coffee and visited until Vikki had to go to work.  I got round steak going in the crock pot for dinner tonight.   Bill went to the VA to get some bloodwork done.  Kimmy and I left shortly after to pick Eli up from school and pick up some round steak.  She smelled my round steak going and decided it would be good for her to make tomorrow night when the boys girlfriends are there.  Jack’s didn’t have and round steak which was really weird.  We ended up stopping at Pat’s and she got some nice round steak there.  We got back to my house right before Melissa and Jack got there.  Kimmy had brought a fish pond to put in the basement and put water in so we could catch my fish and put them in it for the winter.  The fish didn’t cooperate when Kimmy and I tried to catch them.  We caught 4 finally, but decided to go in the house and let them rest.  We had lunch.  Kimmy and I had spaghetti and Jack and Eli had pizza.  Bill went to pick up Adam at 1:30.  Adam had pizza when he got back here.  Melissa was still full from her sub she had earlier.  Kimmy and I went out and decided to drain the fish pond.  We were going to use a shop vac, but were unsure how to get the filter off the one in the shed.  Bill came out and gave us a great pump to pump the water out.  We caught more fish, pumped more water out, then caught the rest of the fish.  Kimmy got the bubbler going and acclimated the fish to the new water, then put them in.  Melissa came out while Kimmy was catching the fish.  It was cool and windy out, so we were all glad to get inside.

Our round steak dinner was yummy.  We shared some with Wes and Gayla.  I visited with them when I dropped some off.  They called me later to tell me is was delicious and thank me. We said we love each other, then hung up.  God has sure blessed us with amazing friends who are framily.

I watched some you tube video’s of Tulsi Gabbard being interviewed.  She was very informative. I read my Bible and worked on my blog.

Thurs., 10/24/24, Kimmy came over, then Melissa came over, later Vikki came over. It was fun hanging out together, I visited Diane at Well Spring, Kimmy and Vikki hung the light back up, hung my bird for me and worked on changing the washer door to open the opposite way, Jared came and finished it. So thankful

I loved FaceTiming with my sweetie Rehvyn this morning.  He was so smiley!
Kimmy and Vikki hung my new bird up today
Kimmy and Vikki worked on changing the washer door so it opened so I didn’t have to put the clothes over the washer door and then into the dryer.  They couldn’t get the last thing, but Jared showed up and saved the day.  He got it working.  I am so happy to have them open like they do now.  So much easier.  Thank you so much all of you!
Kenzie sent me all of these adorable pictures of Rehvyn today.  He’s the cutest!!!!!!
I love his cute smile...makes me smile

He melts my heart

Kimmy came over after her dentist appt. and her visit with Vikki.  Shortly after she got here, Melissa came over.  We had fun hanging out together.  Kenzie FaceTimed us and we all had fun seeing her and Rehvyn.  We had spaghetti for lunch.  After lunch Kimmy did some sewing for Melissa and me on my sewing machine.  She also brought a shirt of Bill’s he painted in and we thought ruined it.  Kimmy had taken it home and painted it with shirt paint and it looked great. She washed it in my washing machine and she noticed the door on my washing machine hadn’t been changed to open the opposite way yet.  Bill had tried but couldn’t get it to work when switched.  She and Vikki worked on it and what they couldn’t do, Jared showed up and did.  I love having it so much easier.  Thank you so much!

I went to visit Diane at WellSpring.  We had such a nice visit and were sure happy to see each other.  Before I left, I prayed for her.  She comes home tomorrow.  She is a great friend.
When I got home, Kimmy and Vikki had the kitehen light over the table hung back up right.  It fell down and was just hanging.  They made sure it was hung sturdy.   They also hung the new glass bird I got in Arkansas at Mount Wilhelmina up in my frame that looks like a window.  They sure were helpful today.  They always are!   I was happy to see Isaac today when he got out of school and came over. He’s getting so tall and handsome.  Sure do love him.  He always sends me cool pictures.  He sent me some sunrises yesterday that were beautiful.

In the evening, we went out to dinner at Olive Garden with Debbie and Tom and got our Christmas tree.  We had a nice visit and the food was so good.  Debbie and I brought lots of leftovers home, but the guys ate their whole meal.

We picked up Jack and then Bill dropped me off at home and he took Jack to his fencing class and sat and watched him and waited for him.  It was a fun day!

Wed., 10/23/24, Picked my prescription up, went to therapy, went to Vikki’s, did laundry, unpacked more, Vikki came over, Adam surprised and drove himself here for the first time for a visit,

Yay, Adam drove to our house for the first time alone and surprised us!  Sure do love him!
Me and Adam

Kimmy sent me some pictures of these handsome hunters getting ready for their hunting adventure.

Eli all set and looking good!  Love this kiddo tons!
Father and son team....go Jared and Eli...Hope with all this planning and gear you get a big one!

Love the new shirts Abi picked out for her and Jacob!  I sure love this guy so much too.
I love all of my family so much!!!!!!!

I got up early and got ready so I could pick my prescription up at 7:30 a.m. before my therapy appointment.  There were only 2 people ahead of me, so I got it quickly and headed to therapy.  Made it with 2 minutes to spare.  Paige was happy to see me and I was happy to see her.  She had me go out to my car and get my prescription and take the first dose.  Then I forgot to bring the prescription for therapy in, so I had to go out and get it.  She measured everything and went over everything with me.  She didn’t want to put any pressure on my thumbs until I’m on the blood thinner for a while.  She did put my hand in warm wax and it sure felt good afterward.  I talked with all the girls today and got to go see Vikki and spend an hour after therapy was done.  It sure was good to get a hug from her.  I went to Aldi’s after I left her house and got lots of things I needed.  When I got home, Bill helped carry groceries in.  He had blown the leaves off the deckWe ate lunch, then I unloaded more stuff in the camper.  We won’t be using it now, so brought in anything that can freeze and all food.  What a fun year of camping.

In the evening, we sat by our new heater that looks like a fan.  It sure warms you up quickly.  I did the rest of the laundry.   There was a ring at our door at 8 o’clock and we sure were surprised when we found out it was Adam.  We had such a nice time visiting with him.  He ate some M & M’s while he was here.  He seemed so grown up.  I guess that’s happening quick with all of the grandkids.  He watched the time, and left so he would be sure to be home before 10. Of course Papa and I prayed for his safe travel when he left.  He had been to Aunt Vikki’s before he came here.  She had him eat with them.

We voted on our absentee ballots tonight.  Will turn them in tomorrow.  I talked to Kimmy and she is coming over tomorrow.  Melissa is going to come over too.  I’m sure Vikki will come over when she gets out of work.   We read our Bibles, listened to worship music, and then I worked on my blog.  Every time I went outside today, Kit Kat followed me.  I checked on my fish and they looked good.  They started eating right away.

Tuesday, 10/22/24, Got home from ER at 4 in the morning, slept in, went to Wes and Gayla’s, picked up mail that was held, had ultrasound to check for blood clots, 2 found,

Swelling went down some on my feet.  Still swollen but not as bad

Cute pictures of Jared and Eli in their blind!  I’m excited for them!

We slept in until 10:30 after getting to bed at 4:00 this morning.  We got ready and went to Wes and Gayla’s to visit them and see what we could do to help.  We visited and caught up with what’s been going on.  Wes is using the walker and hopping on one foot now.  Yesterday he was using the wheelchair.  He’s making progress.  His visiting nurse came while we were there.  She was really nice and easy to understand.  Bill moved Wes’s motorcycle out from in front of their zero turn lawnmower.  We looked at all the damage to the motorhome, trailer they haul their motorcycle in and shed.  Lots of damage, but it could have been much worse.  We left after about an hour and a half and went and picked up our mail.  Lots of it!  We went through the car wash and the truck is nice and clean again.  I called and cancelled my hand appt. with U of M.  My hand is doing great, so last time I was there the dr. told me to cancel it if no problems.  We went to Leo’s and had breakfast.  It was delicious.  Vikki had called us when she was at Hobby Lobby, so we called her to see if she could come join us for breakfast, but she was already home.

I start therapy for my thumbs tomorrow.  I have osteoarthritis in them and Paige told me I would only have to come for a couple visits and she could help me avoid them getting bad and needing surgery some day.  I noticed when I had to use my left hand for everything my thumb hurt, Also exercising with my right hand made that thumb hurt.

I talked to all four girls today.  They are all so caring.  I am blessed.  I went at 5 and had an ultrasound to check for blood clots.  Could hardly believe it when she came back and told me I had 2, one in each leg.  She couldn’t reach my doctor, so then got another doctor from the office on the phone.  The doctor wanted to talk to me.  She explained that they were non occlusive so I didn’t have to be admitted.  She was so nice!  She had just gotten off an airplane.  They had told her everything going on.  If I have any shortness of breath, I have to go back in right away.

I talked to the girls and to Sue and Gayla.  Read my Bible and worked on my blog.  Read all of the literature I got from the ER and also from today’s appt.  God is faithful and is watching over me.  So thankful He loves me with an everlasting love.!

Monday, 10/21/24 , heading home, ended up in Er til after midnight

t
Bill while eating his Cinnabon,  I fed bites to him with a fork while he drove. I texted with Barb and she said she did the same thing for Ron.
My Cinnabon

P

Left Salem at 7 in the morning. Only stopped a few times again, got Cinnabons, back on the road, went to visit Fred and Lourdes, got home, then went to Med Express because my feet were still swollen and my ribs still hurt from my fall, although they are better.  The doctor was concerned about the swelling so wanted me to go to ER to have my heart checked out.  I tried call Bill but no answer. I had Vikki try to keep calling him til I got out of med express.  I let Vikki know I was out and headed home so I would keep trying him. She said he’s probably unloading the whole camper to surprise you.  I got home and didn’t find him in the house so went out to the camper and he was bringing in the last load in.  I told him I had to go to ER so he got ready right away.  He anointed me with oil and prayed for me, then we left.  I called the girls to let them know and to get them praying.   We went to Covenant and the girl told me the last person waited 7 1/2 hours before they got in. The waiting room was packed, so we went to St. Mary’s.  Not many in the waiting room, only 5, but all their rooms in back were full.  We decided to wait. We got home at 4 a.m.  Poor Bill after driving all day, unloading the camper without me, and then 6 1/2 hours at the ER, but he didn’t complain at all.  Just was as sweet as could be.

Sunday,, 10/20/24, Left for home, followed Ron and Barb, made it to Salem, Illinois, spent the night in a rest area there

Stopped for gas. I finished putting the gas in while Bill used the restroom.
Our good friends Barn and Ron ahead of us
Crossing the Mississippi River
The Mississippi
Entering Illinois

My alarm went off at six and Ziggy asked from the front of the camper if that alarm was for him.  He was already packed and just about to leave. I had planned to be up and ready first to make him a coffee before he left.  At least I had gotten everything all set for him the night before and told him what to do.  Bill got up and told him goodbye and I told him good bye through the door.  Bill prayed over him before he left and I agreed from afar.  He left for his home in Illinois, and was driving it in one day.

We got ready, ate, then packed up.  Bill rode the motorcycle back to where our trailer was parked and I drove the motor home.  Bill loaded it on the trailer after he had it connected to the camper then we both worked on tightening the straps.  We met Ron and Barb at Walmart’s parking lot and the started on our trip back home.  We made a couple of stops for gas and bathroom breaks.  We made our lunches and dinners and ate in the camper.  We snacked along the way.  I buckled up on the couch and put my feet up on the table benches for a while.  My feet were swollen in the morning.  Bill noticed them right away.

We parked in a rest area around 7, and spent the night.  Bill and I finished a game of 3-13 we had gotten to round 7 on and had to quit.  Then we played another game. He won both but not by too much.  We slept pretty good!  I can’t wait to get home and see the kids and grandkids!
