Eli, me, Adam and Jacob....I am really looking short these days

Adam is giving our basement a good cleaning and is doing an amazing job.  I have been dreading doing it, but he wants to do jobs to earn money, so it didn’t take me long to find one.  Bill is going to have him paint the basement next.  He is an awesome worker who does everything cheerfully.  I sure am appreciating him.

I got ready.  Vikki came around 8:45.  Kimmy was on her way and got here shortly after with Jacob.  I had picked up blueberry muffins, so we all had one for breakfast.  Vikki had tried to make her oatmeal, but the packs she opened didn’t look good, so she didn’t eat them.
We had fun hanging out with her until she had to go to work.  I was on the phone praying with Sue when Vikki left.

Bill picked Max up and brought him over, so we all watched him skillfully working on fixing a gun he and Papa wanted to practice with.  Bill took Jacob and Max to Clare to go to Jays and then to Cops and Donuts.  Kimmy and I watched some NewsMax news and then decided we were tired so we would take a little nap until the guys got back.  Well they got back a couple of minutes later, so no naps for us.  They had brought us yummy donuts though, so that helped us wake up and not feel tired any longer.  They were the best donuts too.

Vikki called after she got out of work, and wanted us to meet her at an Estate Sale.  The first one was not going to be until tomorrow, so we met her at another one.  Kimmy, Vikki, and Eli found stuff they liked and bought.  Eli FaceTimed Rody and showed him some cool camera things that Rody liked and had him pick up for him.  I didn’t find anything I couldn’t get along without.  It was fun looking together.  The stairs going upstairs were a little scary as they were steep and the floor was crooked when you got to the top.  None of us enjoyed going back down them.  I was glad there was a handrail.  They paid for their stuff and then Vikki left to pick up Isaac from school, and Kimmy, Eli and I went to Menards so Kimmy could buy a broom to go with the cool long handled dustpan she got at the sale.  When we got back to my house, Adam was there.

Jacob had to leave.  Bill started looking for watches for Eli.  He found one Eli really liked and gave it to him.  They had fun looking at stuff in Bill’s big tote.  Kimmy and Eli left after that and Adam stayed and is going to spend the night.  He wanted to get right at cleaning the basement, so I showed him what to do.  He started vacuuming and getting all the spider/cobwebs out from the rafters in the ceiling.  When he finished that, he and I went to Subway and picked up a 6 inch rotisserie chicken sandwich.  Adam got a foot long with tuna, tomatoes, pickles and sweet onion dressing on it.  He looked at Hope’s text to see what to get on it.  He’s so cute.  Then he went downstairs and vacuumed the floor and dusted everything off that was down there.  He washed some tables off.  He came up after that and will mop the floor tomorrow.  What a great worker and wonderful grandson he is.  We all relaxed in the living room after that.  I worked on my blog to get it done, so he can use the computer to play a game with his family at home.
