Sad seeing all of the damage in and around Gaylord from the ice storm. So much and it covered a large distance. |
 |
Our group picture at the Harley Davidson dealer where we (CMA) were doing a bike/biker blessing. Russ from Indian River did the bike blessing and we handed out blessing stickers. |
 |
Styletto’s Women’s Riding Group...we were doing the bike blessing for them and anyone else who wanted to stop in |
 |
Russ, far right and Marsha second from the left were from Indian River and are wanting to start a CMA chapter there |
 |
We had prayer over our motorcycles too. We also prayed for anyone needing prayer.

Tree damage on our ride with Jeff on the way back. He picked great curvy roads which were so much fun.

Our potluck. The guys hung tarps up to block the cool wind from us all |
We gathered at 9:30 and left for our group ride to go to the bike blessing in Gaylord at Zipps Harley Davidson. It was much cooler than yesterday’s ride. When we got in the Gaylord area there were many trees damaged from the ice storm. It was so sad. That is one of our favorite places to go. My nephew is the undersheriff there and was involved in much of the cleanup.

There was a lot of damage right on the side by the parking lot at the Harley dealer too.
We enjoyed talking to the lady bikers and finding out a little more about them. Some were from the UP and some were from Davidson. They have a large group of riders and they just go on the rides they can meet at. The dealership had a luncheon for them with delicious little ham, turkey and roast beef sandwiches, fries, cheese, and pop. They had lots so invited us to eat too. Afterward, we all went outside and Russ lead the bike blessing. We handed out blessing stickers, then the women’s group left, some other bikers left and then we prayed for each of our bikes and riders. We prayed for Al who is having shoulder surgery on Tuesday, and for Paul who is dealing with some back and leg pain. Then those who came in cars went to Buffalo Wild Wings and those of us who rode on motorcycles went on our ride that Jeff had planned. He takes us on great rides always. We stopped at a gas station in case any one wanted to get some snacks to eat. We rode through East Jordan, Ellsworth, and Belaire. My sister lives in Ellsworth. I wish I would have know we were going through there. Bill and I would have tried to arrange to see her. We got back to the campground at 3. I put the cool whip on my banana cream pudding dessert for the potluck and also made a lasagna. We read our Bibles and then went outside to visit. Cindy and Lew came up for the day to go to the potluck and to attend the meeting. We visited with them, then took them around to see people and meet those they hadn’t met. There was good food at the potluck and good fellowship. We stayed nice and warm with the tarps keeping the wind out. Bill did a great job leading the meeting. Such a nice group of friends to gather with. Lew and Cindy left for home after everything was done. Art and Pat came and talked with Bill and I in our camper. They are used to being the only Area Reps in the U.P. and are now having to work with our new Area Reps Bill and Teri. We are having them get together again to just get to know each other better and to see how they can work together. We went by the campfire after that. It was pretty cold so we weren’t out there long. Played 3-13 and dice and tonight I won both games. Finally!!! Jeff came to talk to us. He and Kathy are stepping down as area reps after 17 years. They are in Florida for 6 months of the year now and have been flying back and forth to events and training. It is getting too hard for them. We totally understand and are thankful for all they have done to serve in leadership in CMA. They are an awesome couple and amazing friends. We were sad, but we sure understand. They will still be in CMA.
