Tuesday, 5/27/25, Bill had cardiac appt., I met Maddy at Biggby, Bill removed old shrubs, dug holes and he and I planted new shrubs, weeded my flower garden, went to Boehlers and got 2 more shrubs, came home and planted them, moved ferns, ate at Culver

Cute picture Melissa took of Evan and Max at the dog show in Frankenmuth.  Badger with Evan and Vader with Max
I love it when these Iris’s blossom
I moved 4 ferns out of here and moved a Lenten Rose over so it would have more room
Got three Panicle Hydrangeas.  This one, and also put two by each side of the sidewalk near the steps by the front door.
This is what they will look like
Got a new Blueberry Bluecrop plant. My other one died.  A different kind made it and has new growth this year.
First two blossoms on Clematis out by the shed
Got the flower garden weeded.  Need to edge it next.
Planted a Lil” Kim Red Rose of Sharon bush

This is what it is supposed to look like

Got an Imperial Gem Lavender Plant...Still hoping my other lavender plant starts showing signs of life
Hailey sent me this cute picture of Luke, her and Jacob at work today
I moved an Autumn Joy plant by the back deck where Bill dug out the same kind of plant we had two of in the front.  Only one other one left now and it might be coming out if it starts looking bad.  I did trim it some where it hung over my rose bush
This is where I moved the 4 ferns from the other side of the house.
Hostas are starting to grow. I put 5 more around the curve that I dug up to thin out some small starts.  The rounded little push farthest away is a Birch Leaf Spirea.

Bill got up and got ready to go to his cardiac dr. appt.  I got up at 4:30 after tossing and turning all night because my right leg was so painful.  It has been bothering me mostly when I go to bed for several months now.  My doctor took me off the statin 2 weeks ago  to see if that was what was causing the problem.  I decided to try the mattress upstairs.  I laid down and as soon as I did, the pain was completely gone.  I slept great and then when I woke up I didn’t have any pain at all still.  I thought that was pretty miraculous so was thanking the Lord.  Vikki had paid a lot for that mattress upstairs and it is pretty new.  She wanted to trade us for the mattress we had up there before, to see if she would sleep better on ours.  Our mattress downstairs was one Bill found and we went and bought from some people.  I remember the wife telling me her husband liked it but after a year she was done trying to sleep on it.  I thought I could sleep on anything because I fall asleep so fast.  Guess I was wrong about that.  After a year, I am done with that mattress too.  Tonight Bill is trying the upstairs mattress with me.  Yay!  I hope he loves it too, because I want to switch the two.  The kids who spend the night don’t really care what they sleep on.

I met Maddy at Biggby and we had a nice time catching up.  She and her family have been on vacation in Texas.  We had coffee and a breakfast sandwich and sure had a good time and laughed a lot.

I returned paint brushes and duct tape to Home Depot after that and also went to Walmart and returned some placemats I had got that I didn’t really like on my table.  I went to the Home Goods Store and found a set of four placemats for 14.97.  I went home and tried them and they look really nice on the table.  I got home and Bill was still mentoring Jeremy at Tim Horton’s.  He went to meet him after his doctor appt.  The doctor said his heart is good and he just has a little blockage.

When he got home, we planted the three plants we got yesterday.  Then he dug out two plants that have so many sticks mixed in with the branches with leaves we both decided they had to go.  He sawed them down first, then dug them out.  The big one he had to pull out with the tractor.  He did a great job.  He was pretty tired afterward so I got him a drink and he sat down.  He went to the back and dug a smaller one out too, which I replaced with an Autumn Joy.  I put flowers in two big flower pots for the deck.  I forgot to take pictures of those.  They look really nice.  Bill trimmed low branches off all the trees where he had to duck when he mows the grass.  We both hauled them to the fire pit and the rest went in a pile in the woods for when he can burn them.  It was too windy today.

We went to Boehler’s Greenhouse after that and got two more plants, the Rose of Sharon Bush and the Birch Leaf Spirea.  We went to Culver’s and I had a delicious Pot Roast Sandwich which was so tender and so good.  Bill got a burger and fries and split the fries with me.  He took a bite of my Pot Roast and really liked it too.

When we got home, we planted the two new plants and then I watered all of the new and transplanted plants.  I weeded my flower garden after that.  I was tired, so called it a day and came in and relaxed by Bill and worked on my blog.  The girls all just texted me and let me know they are praying I have a great night’s sleep with no pain tonight.  I should really sleep good with them all praying.  I am blessed.
