Sun, 11/30/25, Snowy morning, Bill went to late service at church, he plowed the driveway, warmed up my lunch, Melissa, Bruce and Jack came to visit, Jack interviewed papa, started the rest of my exercises with Bill’s help, took a couple of good naps, lots more walking with the wallker today

These are the beautiful flowers in a Christmas arrangement Marlee, my friend from church sent me.  It was so sweet of her.  They sure brighten my day.
Took a picture of the snowy day from where I am seated.  Can’t see the snow too good,  but you sure can see the radiant heater really good.  It works so nice.  No fan, but the heat radiates off of the metal around it. Gets nice and toasty
I noticed I had a nice hair mat on the back of my head.  I was worried I would break some hair off, but this brush the girls got me worked so good and got it out with no breakage. Just amazing.
My Cactus has buds, blooms and blossoms all over it now.  So beautiful
It was a beautiful snowy morning!  Hailey made it home last night and I was glad go hear they cancelled her church so she didn’t need to drive on slippery roads this morning.
For breakfast I had yummy banana brad that Melissa made.  It was so good!
Kenzie and Rehvyn FaceTimed me with Vikki and Peyton this morning.  Rehvyn sure loved it out playing in the snow.
That is his snowbird behind him!
Jack came over tonight with Bruce and Melissa and he interviewed Papa for a school assignment while Bruce, Melissa and I visited.

I went to bed at 10:30 last night, then around Midnight, Bill came in, but he turned the bathroom light on with the door open and it shined right in my eyes.  Then when he was all settled in bed, we had about 1 hour before my alarm would be going off for my first medicines.  That meant he just got to sleep good and I had to wake him to come over to my side of the bed and help me take my first two pills.  After another 35 minutes, he had to help me take my last pill.  After that, I decided to get up and go out to my recliner, so I wouldn’t have to wake him up again.  Then I slept until the alarms went off again in the morning.  I sure will be glad when pill time is over and he doesn’t have to help me get into bed anymore.

He got up at around 8:30 and got ready for church.  He was only going to go to the late service, but then texted me when he got there and said he forgot it started at 10:45.  He had gotten there too early.  I got up and got ready and cut a piece of banana bread for breakfast and then buttered it.  It sure was yummy.  Walking, getting dressed, getting things I need, etc. are all getting a little easier.  I watched our church service Online, then watched a couple of churches in Owosso, to see if they would be churches Kenzie would like.  They were both pretty good.  Vikki watched them too.

Bill got home when I was almost done with the last one.  He brought me in a warmed up piece of pot pie, then went outside to plow the driveways and sidewalks.  He did a great job, except had a few problems with the snowblower breaking an oil line and the plow starter needing replaced.  It was another super windy day, so I felt bad for him having to be outside in that weather.  He got it done, then came in and had a piece of pot pie himself. He also made himself a coffee.  I had made me a cup of coffee when I got up.

I have been calling and texting my friend Debbie from church who is having her knee replaced tomorrow.  I have been doing lots of praying for her.  She is going to be laid up for a while around the holidays too.  We encourage each other.

Bruce, Melissa. and Jack came over.  Jack and Papa went out in the kitchen an did the interview while we sat in the living room and visited.  Melissa noticed my walker only had one tennis ball on it.  I was sure both had been on it, but we decided to check out the picture Vikki took the first day I was home and one was missing there.  I knew it had to be out in the car, so I sent Bill out to look and sure enough, he came in with it.  He put it back on for me.  I’m glad Vikki took that picture.  Bruce had put a turkey in the oven, before they headed over.  They were so cheap, it is a nice cheap meal you can make many things out of.
I bet their house will smell really good when they get home.  Tomorrow is Max’s birthday.  Bill is picking him up from college after he gets done because Bruce has something to do.  Melissa is staying with me while they go.  I think Bill will be picking up Culver’s for us.  That’s where Max likes to go when he gets out of school now.  I picked up his card early, but Bill needs to get some money out of the bank to put in it.

After Bill and Jack finished, I took a picture of Jack.  Melissa was supposed to get a picture re enacting the interview, but I haven’t seen it yet.

Bill helped me get my leg up on the bed, then worked with me helping me with the exercises I needed help with.  The one where I am supposed to lift my leg up and then lower it slowly was the big one I needed help with.  He did most of the lifting and I could let it down slowly pretty good.  I am glad to be doing that one to get strength back in it so I can move my leg on the bed myself.  These exercises all should help.  Plus I am practicing walking correctly with the right stride too.  Melissa said she would help me with them tomorrow.  I am so thankful for all of this help and my wonderful family.

Sat., 11/29/25, Everyday gets better, Vikki came over again and was a great help, Kimmy and Jared traveled back home from Indiana, Hailey and Melissa came over and brought pot pie, caramel chocolate chip cookies and banana bread

We all enjoyed the pot pie Hailey made.  It was soooo delicious
Delicious chocolate chip caramel cookies
Delicious banana bread

Bill helped give me my medicine and sit me up in the night to swallow the water.  I slept good until 4:30, the came out to my recliner.  My alarm went off whenever it was time to take my meds.  Then I went back to sleep in my recliner.  Getting up to my walker and walking is getting easier.  I walked around, got dressed, then went and relaxed in my recliner again with icing and elevating.  That really is keeping the swelling down and pain level down. Pastor has been checking on me every morning to see if I need anything.  Others from church have been checking on me too.  I am so blessed.Bill made us scrambled eggs and toast and then poured us each a glass of orange juice.  Vikki called, and then came over and visited and helped me with what I needed help with.  Stayed a few hours.  I talked to Kimmy and Jared on their way home from Indiana.  I was glad when they were out of the snowy area.  I talked to them again just as they were on their road and almost home.  Happy they are home before the big snowstorm hits.  They told me about their fun time with family in Indiana.
In the afternoon, Hailey and Melissa came over and Hailey brought us a big pot pie she had made for us.  It was absolutely delicious.  The best I have ever had.  She also made us a plate of chocolate chip caramel cookies.  Melissa brought a loaf of warm banana bread she made.  Everything was so so good.  Looking forward to eating the left overs tomorrow.
Bill drove Hailey to Bay City to pick up an expresso machine she bought.  He drove her in the Jeep because it was getting slippery out.  They saw an accident on one of the Bay City Bridges. Melissa stayed with me and helped me and kept me company.  Bruce, Max and Vader stopped in for a quick visit and put some stuff in their camper here.  Hailey and Bill got back, then she and Melissa left because Hailey was driving back to college tonight to help at her church tomorrow morning.  I relaxed again in my recliner and we will watch a movie tonight.

Friday, 11/28/25, Nice restful day at home, recovering and being loved and well taken care of .

I wore the shirt Stacie made up for me, and I ate the pita sandwich Vikki and Melissa said  was so good.  It was!
There’s a little swelling in my surgical leg but n to too bad.  I did lots more icing.

I did better today with the walker.

Bill got up at 9 and came out by me at 9:30.  That’s when I woke up.  I got up and walked to the bathroom, then got dressed.  Vikki and Peyton came over around 10:00.  They stopped and Peyton got food at Culver’s for breakfast and Vikki bought me a delicous strawberry banana smoothie.  It was huge and lasted me a long time.  It tasted so good and was so cool on my throat.  What a great idea she had.  She helped me with lots of things I needed done.  Kimmy called to check and see how I was doing.  I was so happy to talk to her.  Jared has texted me to check on me each day.  What an amazing son in law!  He does make me laugh which is good medicine.  Melissa called me too.  She was going Black Friday Shopping with Hailey.  They had a really long line to stand in at Target, but had fun together and got good deals. I’m so glad they could go.  Vikki, Peyton and I watched a Christmas movie with cute animals in it.   It was good.  Afterwards, they brought some of my Christmas stuff down and set it up on the mantle of the fireplace in the family room, and also set up my stable Mark built me when he was little and all the nativity pieces to it.  It looked so pretty.  They brought out the Oh Come Let us Adore Him sign and set it in front of the tv.  I ate my Pita sandwich half. Yum!  Grant and his family came to pick up Emmy, their dog.  She is the best dog and so cute.  I took a nice nap.  Bill made our dinner after that.  I had a nice talk with Melissa again.  Then I had some beautiful flowers arrive. It was a beautiful Christmas arrangement.  I will put a picture on here tomorrow.  Marlee, my sweet friend from church had them sent to me.  I called her and talked to her and thanked her.  I got my pjs on and relaxed until time for bed.

11/27/25, Thanksgiving Day, Got more good care, passed therapy, and doppler tests for bladder, had very sweet nursed, Got to go home, before lunch, Got in the house good, Stacie came and visited and brought me a cute shirt, Bill was a great help all day and night, had egg salad sandwich for lunch and later chili for dinner. In lots of pain when moving my leg, otherwise id well and walked around the house

Isaac with Rehvyn,  both looking. very handsome
Peyton looking beautiful.  They went to Rody’s Aunt Ann’s for Thanksgiving.

I was at the hospital until about 10:30.  I ate a western omelet, toast. and orange juice for breakfast.  They had a Thanksgiving menu to order off of if you had to stay for lunch.  I went to therapy with two therapists. I walked a long way down the hall by my room, then they pushed me in my recliner chair when we got to the elevator.  They had me go backwards with the walker up two stairs which is what I will have to do at home.  I did great and they said I passed my therapy test. I walked part way down the therapy hall, then they thought  should save my energy for when I need to walk at home today.  I agreed.
The nurse had done doppler scans on me and today I was able to fully empty my bladder.  Test 2 passed.
Bill came and they got my discharge papers ready,  Bill helped me get dressed and he also packed up all of my stuff.  He went down to get the car and I was wheeled down in a wheel chair.  I got in the car really well and we headed home.  There were a couple of big bumps (ouch) but it was a pretty smooth ride home.  Bill helped secure my walker while I went backwards up our two steps.  Then I went in and sat put things away or on the bed for later.  It was sure good to be home sweet home.  Stacie came over to visit for a few minutes.  She brought me a  cute shirt with a cute Thanksgiving saying on it. It is soft and is burgundy.  So sweet of her.  We watched a movie, Homeless for the Holidays, after the Lion’s lost, then  ate egg salad sandwiches and chili.  He took good care of me.  I got my pajamas on and he helped me sit on the bed, took my ted hose off and helped move my surgical leg over as it doesn’t move too easy yet.  He got me my ice bag to ice it at night too.  I slept good in bed on my back and set my alarm for when I had to take my medicines.  Bill got up and gave them to me and helped me sit up to take them.  At 3:30, I sat up, got my walker and went to the bathroom, then walked to the living room to sleep in my recliner.  I took the rest of my medicine for the morning out there.  I slept more and kept icing my leg.

Went to the hospital at 7:45, surgery was from 12:07 til 3:21 p.m., out of recovery at 4:30, Bill, Vikki, Melissa were there in person, Kimmy was on FaceTime with Vikki, Hailey came when I got into my room, Hailey brought no bake cookies, Bruce and Melissa came up to see me, Had nice people taking care of me, I walked with the walker, slept pretty good

Melissa, my miracle girl, in front of her picture

Chocolate covered cashews from the girls and families and pretty flowers with a cute balloon in them from the girls in the picture below.  Cookies from Hailey b hind the chocolate covered cashews

I woke up at 3:30 and came out to my recliner.  I got my Glacier Cherry Gatorade and put it next to me.  I could only drink until 5:456 and had to be getting ready, so only drank 30 of the 40 fl. oz.  We left for the hospital and got there a little early.  It was pretty windy outside and in the 30’s.  A girl took us right back so I could get weighed and checked in.  My surgeon saw me and came up to me, shook my hand and said hi.  He told us he had one surgery before mine and should get at mine around 10.  I went into pre op and had the nicest girls working on me.  They were like the Dream Team, kind, fast efficient and fun.  I had to go across the hall to the bathroom a couple of times from drinking so much.  They told me it was good that I drank all of that because it was so easy to find a vein and put the IV in.  Bill called Melissa and  Vikki to let them know my surgery would be around 10:30 a.m.  They came up about 15 minutes later.  Kimmy and family FaceTimed us while they were driving to Indiana to go to Jared’s parents.  Jared was telling me to break a leg.  I guess he knew what was ahead for me lol.  It was nice to say hi and talk to each of the boyslnIt was nice that Kimmy could be there with us the whole day via FaceTime too.  I got to FaceTime with Hailey and Jack, Kenzie and Rehvyn too! Ha ha, if they only knew how many were really in our room lol.  My doctor came in after he was done with his other surgery.  He explained things again and is so knowledgable.  He always has a big smile.  Vikki asked him if she could take a picture of him with me an he said yes, but then added maybe I would want one after three weeks when I a really feeling well.  He left and the Anethesiologist came in and explained I would be having.a spinal.  He was the same one Vikki had for her surgery.  After he left, the Dream Team girls came in again.  I had told my girls about them and was happy they could meet each other. They were so nice and had told us we could have 3 up there instead of the usual 2.  The girl at the front desk had told them only 2.  The nurse anestisist came in and was super nice and explained everything she was doing when she gave me the spinal.  I am so thankful they have such nice workers when  you have to go through something like that.  They wheeled me back to the OR and I was looking at all of the big lights and all of the people helping.  I felt peaceful the whole time before my surgery.   I woke up and it was 4 p.m. when I when I came to in recovery.  I felt like sleeping, but thought about Bill and the girls waiting, so tried harder to wake up.  They took me to my room and Bill, Melissa, Vikki and Hailey came in.  Hailey had brought me no bake cookies to have later. Yum.  Kimmy of course was on FaceTime which really made me happy.  I had a nice private room.  I told them they needed to go home because they were there all day.  The nurse taking care of me took my vitals and said they were good.  She put medicine in my IV and took good care of me.  After she was done, her and another girl stood by me while I used my walker to go to the bathroom.  They left me in the bathroom for about 5 minutes after I pushed the button.  I finally knocked on the door, then opened it and asked if the were coming.  It was painful to stand for that long so soon.  I was glad when they came so I could walk back to bed.   I took a nap after that.  In the evening, Bruce and Melissa came up to my room with chocolate covered cashews and flowers with a balloon from each daughter and family  I slept more, got checked more. took more meds which went on all through the night.  I’m glad I could sleep on my back so good in between  their coming in to check on me.  I sure do love my family and how thy love me.  Vikki and Melissa had a yummy turkey pita bread sandwich they loved, so Bill ate the hospital meal I ordered after he went down and got me one of those sandwiches.  I couldn’t lower my tray and my legs were tight against the tray, so tried eating it, but it was way too messy with all that lettuce on it.  Bill got me chicken strips and mashed potatoes, plus beans and I ate them.  I told him to leave after that so he could get home and rest and I could sleep.  I was so thankful to God that all went well.

Tuesday, 11/25/25, made chili, Bill took trash out, pre surgery day...did what’s on my list from hospital, Vikki came over, Kimmy, Jared and Eli came over,

Brielle at Meijer in her new rain coat...rainy day today
Eli made me so happy....he loved my chili and kept saying how good it was and even had a second bowl!
Me and Eli the night before my surgery.
Kimmy and me

Bill and I took all of the bedding off our bed and I washed all of it as instructed on my hospital list for the night before surgery.  Bill read his Bible.  I made chili while checking the laundry, putting it in the dryer, then folding it when done.  It took a long time because of bulky blankets being done one at a time.  I went out and filled all of the bird feeders to the top.  It started raining just as I finished.  Bill set up the outside nativity while I fed the birds.  He got done right as it started raining.  We came in and I read my Bible.  It is so clear that God says obey His Word if we want a blessed life with Him and if we go our own way and don’t obey, there will be consequences.  This happened so many time with Israel and Judah and many people were destroyed because of their sin.  Scripture also shows time and time again, if the people called out to God and repented, God forgave and blessed them.  What a merciful God.  Scary because people today are doing what they want and don’t read the Word to see what God wants.  Yikes!  I sure am thinking and repenting as I read every day.  I want God and His mercy always!

Bill and I had a bowl of chili for lunch.  I finished it just in time.  I put some in a container in the refrigerator to have, then packed up six containers for the freezer.  I cleared off my little makeup table upstairs and made a spot for it in our room.  Kimmy called me and I talked to her and Jared about the videos I watched on my hip surgery until Jared said I was making his hip hurt lol.  Kimmy asked if I was going to be home in the evening so they could come visit me.  So happy.

I got some videos out and stacked them on the tv cabinet to watch while I am having to rest. Got my plants watered too.  Had lots of people calling me and texting me to let me know they are praying for my surgery tomorrow.  I am so blessed.  I haven’t been nervous at all and I know that has to be the Lord’s peace.

Vikki came over and bought the leaf blower and chargers back.  Poor girl was sore from doing her leaves.  She brought Emma with her.  She came up to me right away, but after Kimmy, Jared and Eli got here, she was not sure about any of the guys.  She stayed right by Vikki.  She did finally warm up to Eli and Jared.  Bill and Jared went out to the camper and put the slide out out a little, then Bill lifted up our bed and Jared got two chair cushions we got in Arkansas out and brought them him the house.  My car is a little low, so they will help me stay in the right hip position on the way home from the hospital.  After that Jared, Bill and Eli brought the makeup table down, the mirrors I took off and the stool.  That was so appreciated because I was thinking before I knew they were coming about how I was going to manage helping Bill.  Bill had went to town and picked up eggs and bread today.  He decided to boil the eggs.  I had told him when the water starts boiling, he needed to put the eggs in and turn the burner down so it boils, but not hard.  We visited with everyone, and then I went out to the kitchen and saw the eggs were on high and were boiling away alright.  I moved them off the burner and turned the burner off.  Bill forgot to set a timer and forgot to turn the burner down.  He had gotten side tracked by visiting with the kids.   One time I forgot eggs, and they boiled dry, then popped all over hitting the ceiling.  It was a lesson I will never forget, so I am very careful with eggs.  Bill made yummy egg salad and we all ate sandwiches or chili.  I had to talk Kimmy, Jared and Vikki into it.  Didn’t have to talk Eli into it thought.  He made the first move, saying if no one else is going to I am.  Love that kid!  We all ate after that.  It was so fun having everyone here and I sure didn’t think about my surgery much.  Did decide I had better get my Day Before Surgery list out and look at it again.  Drank 40 oz of Glacier Cherry Gatorade from 5 pm til midnight.  Then went to bed.
I’m praying for Kimmy, Jared and the boy’s safe trip to Indiana tomorrow and a very blessed time with Jared’s parents and family.

Monday, 11/24/25, Bill had an eye dr. appt., I went to Bath and Body Works, then to Meijer, got more things around and ready for my surgery day, Melissa and Hailey came over

Made a peanut butter, almond milk, banana, small scoop of ice cream, coffee smoothie after I FaceTimed with. Kenzie and Rehvyn
I also air fried two eggs after FaceTiming her.  Everything was so good!

We got ready and then read our Bibles and did our other reading.  I played three awesome worship songs to worship too.  Bill had to go to the VA for an eye appt.  I finished my Bible reading and then Kenzie and Rehvyn FaceTimed with me.  They are always fun to see and talk to.  Kenzie was making a healthy smoothie and told me how to make it.  She also told me I could make great eggs in the air fryer at 300 degrees for 7 minutes.  They turned out really good.  I made toast to go with them.  We talked for 48 minutes.  Rehvyn is always so fun and cute.  Kenzie’s always sweet and shares great ideas.  She told me about her fun time yesterday shopping with friends Macy and Layla after having lunch together.  She also told me that Layla is a Christian and shared about Jesus and the Bible on their drive to take Macy to the airport.  She was very excited and happy since being born again.  She wanted to share that joy with Kenzie.  It was nice hearing Kenzie talk about it.  I shared a scripture I had just read that made me think of Kenzie.  It was in Jeremiah in my reading for the day.  It is the Scripture I have loved you with and everlasting love, therefore with loving kindness, I have drawn you to myself.

I went to Bath and Body Works after I got ready.  Then I went to Meijer after that.  I ran into Catherine from church there and we talked for a while.  I got a ham for Christmas, some stuffing crumbs, creamer, Newman’s coffee, blueberries and an hot/cold pack for after my surgery.   I came home and then after putting the stuff away, relaxed in the recliner.  Bill and I too an hour nap, then I got the leftovers out and we ate.  He had an Elder’s meeting after that.

Melissa and Hailey called and came to visit while Jack was at fencing.  We had a nice time.  I remembered to ask them if they ever made it back to Bath and Body Works to get the $11 soap that was on sale for 2.95.  They didn’t.  I had bought extra today in case they hadn’t got some, so I had Hailey go upstairs and get the bags and let them pick out 3 each that they liked.  It was fun watching them go through them.  I sure was happy I remembered to tell them I got them.  We visited a little longer and then they had to leave.

I took my disinfecting shower and then did all the laundry after.  I am keeping busy with showering and putting really clean clothes on.  Trying to keep the laundry caught up so Bill can just keep up after my surgery.  I worked on catching up with my blog, then talked to bill about the Elder’s meeting.

I slept really good and stayed in bed last night too.  So nice not having to movie to the recliner.  I brought my favorite pillow in from the camper and it sure is helping.  So thankful. I can hardly believe, I have tomorrow and then the next day is my surgery.  I have gotten so many calls and texts from family and friends saying they are praying for me.  God sure is awesome!

I watched some videos on my surgery tonight.  I am thankful my surgeon is doing my surgery the way he is, without cutting the muscle and robotically to get the measurements and length precise.  I am praying for God to give him wisdom and the skill for my surgery.

Me, Evan and Papa
Melissa, Evan and Bruce

We got ready for church, then headed to the first service.  I went back to my Sunday School room and made sure everything I needed was out and ready. It was!  Cassie always does a great job!  I went back in the service and talked to some people until Bill came in after praying with pastor and it was time to start the service.  Pastor Dan Dickenson gave the message.  Worship was awesome and Debbie and Bill said the message on being Thankful was so good!  I went into Sunday School and taught when we were dismissed.  Marie was my helper and was a great one and Janet was shadowing today.  She was a great help too.  What a great class and an amazing lesson about Elijah hearing God’s still small voice.  I went to prayer between service after parent’s picked up their kids.  Debbie, Bev and Dave, Frances and I were all back praying.  They prayed again for my upcoming surgery and for Debbie’s upcoming knee surgery.  We went into the second service after that.  I was happy to hear Pastor Dickenson preach.  It was a great message!  Bill and I prayed for people afterwards.  I prayed for my neighbor Kim and Pastor had someone he wanted Bill to pray for.  We talked with friends, then left as Kimmy, Jared, Adam and Eli, Vikki, Peyton, and Rehvyn  were at our house for leftovers.  Jared got all the food out for us and put it on the cupboard.  Rody and Isaac got there.  We all made plates up and heated them in the microwave.  Once again, everything was delicious. We were all full!  We started watching the Lion’s game.  We were very happy when they went in the lead.  Adam had to leave, and Bill and I had to go to Evan’s concert which was at 3.  We met Melissa, Bruce and Hailey there.  The concert was so good and Evan did a great job.  Lydia played the clarinet and did a great job.  The high school symphonic band played a group of movie songs from Beauty and the Beast, Disney, Lion King etc. that was amazing!
Kimmy called me and said they were going to carry the outside nativity outside for us. A tree guy came to our house at 4 and we were still at the concert.  Jared went outside and talked to him for Bill.  You can always count on Jared.  We had cake and lemonade after the concert.  We got to meet Evan’s friend Lydia and her family. We enjoyed talking to them.  Bill asked Melissa if she wanted a Mocha from Tim Horton’s on our way to her house and she did.  We went there and the line moved pretty slow, but Melissa was happy when she got her Mocha.  I didn’t get anything, because I am trying to drink more water before my surgery to stay hydrated.
Kimmy called and said they were bringing the outside nativity pieces downstairs and putting them outside for us.  They always go above and beyond. All of the pieces were outside by the stable when we got home, and Kimmy, Jared and Eli were gone.  Jacob and Adam had left early since they drive themselves.   I ate a piece of turkey and some cottage cheese when we got home.  Eating protein too!!!    Then I took my disinfecting shower.  I relaxed after that and worked on my blog. Bill’s sister, Debbie called me and talked to me to let me know she would be praying for my surgery to go well and told me to tell Bill if he needs any help when I get home to call her.  She was so sweet.  Her daughter Amanda and her husband moved into their new home today.  Debbie and Tom had gone down to help them.

I slept really good last night, and didn’t have to move to a recliner.  I sure hope that happens again tonight.

Papa gave Jack the Bible he read and highlighted.  Bill read it in a year and then stuck some money in pages and wrote in the front of the Bible.  Jack was really excited to get it and said he is going to switch to reading that Bible right away.  It was so touching!

Got up at 6:15 a.m. and got the cheesy potatoes baked.  Moved them to the Roaster Oven to keep warm until dinner.  I had bought a sliced ham, but got it all ready and in the crockpot insert last night, so all I would have to do is put it in the crockpot and turn it on.  Then I made the dressing and stuffed some in the turkey and put the rest in a crockpot to cook on low until dinner.  Then I put the turkey in and got some other things done ahead of time.  Vikki, Peyton and Rehvyn got here at around 10:30.  She had made the mashed potatoes and and had them in two big foil containers.  I put them in the roaster oven with the cheesy potato container.  They all stacked in there great.  She also brought jello with strawberries.  Vikki made the punch for me.  Kimmy, Jared and the boys all got here between 10:30 and 11.  Kimmy made two batches of rolls and an apple pie.  Melissa and family got here and brought green bean casserole that Bruce made, no bake cookies,  Hailey brought warm pumpkin bread.  Stacie, DJ and Kody got here too.  Stacie made a huge container of deviled eggs.  Abi had a previous commitment so couldn’t come.  We missed her.  Everyone helped with whatever was needed....setting up tables, putting chairs around, getting chairs from the basement, filling the candy dish, putting tablecloths on the tables, putting silverware and napkins at the 3 tables.  We were able to visit before the food was finished cooking.  Of course Rehvyn was very entertaining to us all.  He is so cute and funny and wants us all to watch him.  He was a very good. boy here.  We all sure do love him.  He gave us the best and biggest hugs and even threw some kisses in there when hugging sometimes.  We sure needed this additional little blessing in our family.  Kenzie had to go to a festival, so she and Travis couldn’t come.  We sure did miss them.  When the turkey was done, Bill got it done, I got the stuffing out of it and then I made the gravy. Kimmy steadily kept up with washing the big dishes that couldn’t go in the dishwasher.  All of the girls, and Jared and Bruce helped set everything on the table.  There was sure lots of food and everything tasted delicious.   We all waited for a while to have dessert.  We had apple pie, banana cream pie, chocolate banana pie, no bake cookies, pumpkin bread, and jello.  Stacie packed up a plate of food for Kody because he wasn’t hungry when he was here.  She also packed up a big plate of food and desserts for Sue for me.  Kimmy, Jared and Melissa went and dropped it off on her porch.  She had kind of a scratchy throat the day before so didn’t want to take any chance of getting anyone sick, so just stayed home.  She called me crying when she got the plate of food because she was so thankful.  We really missed having her here.  Bill, Jared, Adam and Jack played Euchre.  Bruce got back here and he helped Jack a little because Jack hasn’t played much.  They had a fun time.  The rest of us had a fun time hanging out and watching that silly Rehvyn.
