Ate dinner at the Golden Coral in Flint with Bev and Jim
We got up and got ready and left at 8:30 to go to Denny’s for Bill’s free Veteran’s breakfast.
There was a line up inside the restaurant, but it didn’t take long and it was our turn. We saw Debbie and Dale Honold leaving, so talked to them. Her hair was getting long, she had lost it a few years back because of Chemo. Then she told me the cancer was back. I prayed with her right there for her healing. I am continuing to pray. Dale’s sister, Ruthie was with them so it was nice to see her. Bill had been talking to a guy who used to work for him and was a great worker and his wife. We got sat down and had 2 extra seats at our table, so we told the waitress she could tell Joe and Linda to come sit with us if they wanted to. They were happy to get sat down quicker. They were a really nice couple and we had a great time visiting. When we left and were in the parking lot together, he told us he was going to be starting a year of chemo and radiation. We prayed for him before we left the parking lot too.
Will continue to pray for him too. We went to Tim Horton’s and picked up free donuts. We will be eating ours tomorrow as we were too full from breakfast. We also got some boneless chicken wings at Buffalo Wild Wings. Bill got pizzas for us to have tomorrow too. He loves doing this every year. We also went to Texas Roadhouse so he could get his coupon for a free meal there which doesn’t expire until May of 2026. I love that they do it that way. We are so thankful all of these businesses do this for veterans to honor them..
We got to see visit each of the girls today too. We took them some surprises. They are the sweetest daughters. We came home and got our CMA Vests at 3, then headed to Flint to meet Bev and Jim at Golden Coral for the guys to get their free dinner. We girls enjoyed our dinners and getting together. We had a nice time visiting and enjoying good food. After dinner we went to Bob Evan’s for the Flint CMA chapter meeting. Jim is the president and Bev is the Chaplain. It was a good meeting. The guys got free breakfast meals to take home for tomorrow morning. I just enjoyed hot coffee with good French Vanilla Creamer. It was nice seeing everyone at the meeting. Bev prayed at the end and once again I got prayer for my hip surgery. We came home and while we were driving, I talked to Marie and prayed for some health issues she is having. She prayed for my upcoming hip surgery again too. Then Kenzie and Vikki FaceTimed me and had me join them to see how Rehvyn can put his pajama bottoms on by himself now. He is so coordinated. He had a little trouble and looked like a mermaid with both feet in the same hole a few times. My phone died and when I was offline, he put them on right really quick. I missed it. By the time I got my phone charged and got home and back on FaceTime with them, he wasn’t really wanting to try anymore. He was cleaning up his room, throwing some bedding into his crib and picking up some hangers that were on the floor. He loves to pick up. He did pull his diaper off and Kenzie helped him put his feet in and pulled that up. He was so smiley and cute. I read my Bible after that, then worked on my blog.
