11/17/08

This morning I picked Hailey up and we headed off to school. I got to work in her class. Hailey was my helper all day. She led the class to gym with me next to her and then back to the classroom. She has a very nice teacher and nice classmates.
We had Jesus time and then Hailey and I set up tablecloths, placemats, plates, napkins, and cups for snack time. We set out the snacks and also the milk and juice.
I sat next to Hailey for snack time. I helped the kids glue pictures on one of their pages of the book they are making. The day flew by. Hailey was a very good girl and a great helper. It was a very fun morning. I stopped at grandpas on my way home. He had the 300 piece puzzle I got him all put together. It was an all white tiger and a striped tiger. He had me helping some, Aunt Brenda and Sara Jo, and Aunt Jody. He enjoyed all the help and we all enjoyed helping. The all white tiger was the hardest part. Now I will have to pick him up another one. It helps pass the time for him. I notice he can't leave it alone for long. Me either when I'm there.
When I got home I cleaned out the utility room closet good and organized it. That's a job I'm glad is done. Made dinner and then dad and I went to the hospital to visit a lady at church who just had a stroke and also Uncle Terry's dad who is having arteries in his neck operated on tomorrow. We just got home. Saw one accident on an overpass. People forget to drive according to conditions for the first snowfall. It didn't look serious at least. We were glad about that.
Kenzie is soaking in the tub. I am getting ready to settle in with a good book.

11/15/08

Yesterday we cleaned out eave troughs, blew off the deck, and picked up the rest of our leaves. We had a pillar out front that was crooked and looked like it could fall over. Bill decided to cut some wood and wedge it straight until we get it fixed. He was using his electric saw and it jolted backwards and cut his shoe. When we got in the house, and he took his shoe off, his sock was cut also. Praise God for his protection. His foot didn't have even a mark on it. We were so thankful.

Hailey gave me this picture at church this morning. It is a picture of a train on the tracks. Pretty good for her age to have such detail.

Kenzie dressed as 80's person for Youth Group

Vikki showed Kenzie how to dress like the 80's so I took pictures to put on the blog. She did a great job fixing herself like Vikki showed her. She won third place at youth group.
The picture of Hailey is from the wedding we went to Thurs. Also have a nice picture of the lady that played Happy Birthday to Kenzie on the accordian. Kids loved hearing her play. Aunt Angie set Bill at Patriot Guard flag which made him very happy.

11/9/08

We celebrated Kenzie's 11th birthday today. After church she had Madison and Brook, friends from church come over. Vikki, the girls and I went to the bowling alley. The girls had fun bowling. Vikki took tons of pictures. After that we went and picked up cake decorations so the girls could decorate Kenzie's cake when we got home. I made sloppy joes and potato soup to have when everyone else came. Kenzie had two more friends from school come over and then Vikki surprised her and brought Kenzie's long time friend, Josie over. It was a fun family evening. All the kids had so much fun playing together. Grandpa loved the potato soup. Jared gave me lots of compliments on it too, and Bill said he only eats my potato soup. I've got a great family.

More shower pictures from 11/8/08

These are pictures from Shane and Kelly's shower. Each table was decorated differently. Ours was the barnyard theme. Here's a picture of it. The kids all love playing at it. The shower was beautiful and Aunt Vikki did a fantastic job on decorating. The food was great too. The girls helped out with the children and did a wonderful job keeping them happy and busy. Bill came too and we were glad to have him sit at our table. The kids got great gifts. Can't wait til baby arrives. Kenzie was a big help putting desert out. She also played songs on the piano to entertain us.

Here are some nice fall pictures taken at Melissa's. The ones of the big yellow tree are from our back yard. It took forever for those leaves to fall off. Now they are all cleaned up and the tree is bare. Kenzie loves climbing trees and making mazes in the leaves on the ground.
