3/30/09

Today I took Grandpa shopping to three stores. He's always fun to be around.
I got home and put my groceries away and then I tried to call Bill. As I was waiting to leave him a message, my home phone rang and it was him calling me. I went with him to visit a family whose dad had just passed away and Bill is doing the memorial service. I volunteer where Bill works so I can go with him to some of his visitations. They were such a sweet family. I have met the nicest people when I go along. We went out for lunch and had a very nice time. I love spending time together. I am puting on some pictures I took of my sweet grandchildren that I didn't get posted right away. I forgot to mention, the other day I called grandpa and instead of going to his speaker phone, he answered the one on the wall. I asked him if he had his hearing aids in because he didn't seem to be understanding what I was saying, and he answered, "No, I don't have a hangover." I had to laugh so hard.

Welcome to the family Abby Doll 3/28/09

I got to watch Jack today while Bruce and Melissa went to pick up their new puppy. Jack was so sweet and such a good baby. I loved how he would just let me hold him and was so content. What a precious baby. He never fussed once. I loved the way he eats his food. No mess. He opens wide and loves his food. Vikki, Kenzie and Rody came over so they could see the new puppy when Bruce and Melissa got back. I made chicken, mashed potatoes, and corn for dinner. Vikki picked up Grandpa for me and he came to eat with us and to see the new puppy too. We all ate and then the puppy and his family arrived. Hailey was so excited to show us all Abby Doll. She is such a cute puppy and seems to have a great personality. Bruce, Melissa and the kids ate before they left. It was a great day.

Superbowl Sunday 2/1/09

We had a fun Super Bowl Day. Some of us were in the family room doing the Wii and some were in the living room watching the game. Also some were in the basement watching the kids have fun. We had lots of fun bowling. We got exercise, had great laughs and family time and enjoyed all the precious grandkids. It was nice having the guys tell us when a good comercial was on and rewinding it for us to see.
Melissa did awesome on the Wii. I was so amazed and thankful to God for what he has done in her life and blessed her with. I am thankful for each one in my family and so proud of how they raise their children and love the Lord. It was a SUPER Super Bowl Day!!!
