1/26/16 We had care group

Got up and went to breakfast.  Came home and got the house ready, then knitted and watched the news.  Did our lesson for care group.  Got Subway for supper.  I got a footlong meatball and marinara sub and Bill got a turkey.  Mine was a special or 4.44.  It was yummy.  I am saving some for tomorrow.  Had a good care group with lots of sharing.  Watched the last episodes of When Calls the heart.

1/25/16 Went to Vikki's to check out her new furnace and then went with Kenzie and Cole for banana splits at Tony's on State St.

Kenzie and I decided we would let Cole have the whole banana split and we would just split one.  So glad we did as it was huge and we hardly made a dent in it.

Kenzie took a picture of me eating on ours

Cole after he started getting full.  He did a pretty good job eating his

It was starting to get a little harder as he got full

Kimmy and the boys had appointments at the dentist.  They stopped here on their way home and dropped off my fitbit.  None of them had any cavities.  I sent some treats with them and a utensil holder for Kimmy.  Sure was glad to see them.  I should have taken a picture
The banana splits were half off since we brought our own bananas.  Kenzie and I were glad we split one because we got so full so fast.  Cole enjoyed his, but then got to full to finish his too. We had a nice visit and fun eating our special treat.  Prayed for Kenzie's ankles and legs.  Glad she let me pray for her right in the restaurant.  We left and when I got home we watched more episodes of When Calls the heart and I knitted.

1/24/16, Jack and Melissa came over so he could have a quiet place to work on his homework.

Jack interviewed me about when I was young and then he came to write it out and make up his board.  I should have taken a picture of it too.

We went to church.  The girls and families were each there except Kenzie.  After church, I went to Walmart to get dvd's for my camera.  Came home and made sirloin patties, baked potatoes and peas.  Melissa called and was bring Jack over to finish his interview project for school.  Melissa ate with us and then she started working with Jack on writing out the answers to the questions he asked me.  He started out pretty good, but then got tired and had trouble focusing.  I had Melissa leave and I started working with him.  He started doing really good again and finished pretty fast.  It turned out very nice.  Melissa was good a getting the board all laid out nicely with the questions, answers and pictures.  They visited for a while and after they left, Bill and I watched more episodes of When Calls the Heart.

1/23/16 Had a leader's meeting at New Llife

At 8:30 we went to church for the leader's meeting.  We had bagels, cream cheese and coffee and then   the meeting started.  At noon, we went into the fellowship hall and ate tacos, enchiladas, nachos, rice, beans.  The food was delicious.  We could make up whatever Mexican food we wanted with what they had out there.  Went back into the sanctuary for the rest of the meeting, then left for home.  When I got home, Abby had managed to get out of the pop up dog house.  I know to put her in the metal cage next time and Mocha in that one. ha ha.  I don't know how Abby got the door half unzipped without ruining the cage, but I was thankful she didn't put a hole in it.  We ate left overs for supper.

1/22/16....Vikki, Rody, Peyton and Isaac came over for round steak and mashed potatoes

I put round steak in the crock pot this morning.  As it was cooking, I thought of inviting Vikki and her family.  She said they would like to come so I got stuff ready and set the table with Grandma Daisy's good china and silverware set.  We ate and then sat and visited and knitted in the living room.  The kiddos were really good and played with cooties.  We had such a nice time relaxing and visiting. After they left, we watched When Calls the Heart for a while. We are on the 2nd series now.

1/21/16 Malachi and Dennis came for lunch

This bag is going much better....going forward now, not backward...hope it continues

Got up this morning and peeled potatoes, baked an apple pie, made a meatloaf, thawed out homemade applesauce that was frozen.  Got everything ready and did some knitting.  Set the table and then at noon, Malachi came for lunch and to visit.  A few minutes later, Dennis Ward came to bring me his key so I could take care of his cat while he is in Florida seeing his mom.  We asked him to stay for dinner and the four of us had a very nice visit and good prayer.  After they left, I knitted some more and than at 3:30 Bill and I went to the funeral home for Derek Rupp's grandma.  We had a good visit with Emily and Derek and then met Derek's mom.  She is such a sweet caring person.  She offered to have her hubby come down and clean our eave troughs out when we need it after hearing about Bill's knees.  She works at Dow Chemical and is one of the top people there.  Next she introduced us to her husband and he was really nice too.  He went to Bethlehem Lutheran School when he was young.  We got home and got ready to go to the Theatre to pick up popcorn they were donating for us to have while we show a movie to The City Rescue Mission tonight.  We picked up Elaine and headed to the Rescue Mission.  We had a good turnout.  24 of them and 8 of us.  We watched Unconditional which was a true story and a very good movie.  Signing off to knit now.  Night Night

1/20/16 Went to Kimmy's to spend the day

Norman is such a nice dog

Finally finished my bag I knitted.  Spent a long time on it as I made mistakes and ripped out lots.  I know how to go backwards better than forward in knitting now.

Nana, Jacob and Eli....I was so happy to see these sweeties

Had to go outside to get a picture with my sweetie Adam

Jacob hopped in the picture really quick which made me happy

Went to Kimmy's to spend time with her while she is waiting for her sheep to have lambs.  We had a nice visit and she helped show me how to finish my bag.  Thank you for all your patience Kimmy.
We checked on the sheep every hour, but no babies yet.  Loved getting to see the boys.  I have been missing them.  Left and headed for home.  Ate and went to church to teach kids care groups.  I had 12 kids tonight which is the most ever this year.  They were really good and we had fun.  Aleyiah Nelson brought me a card she made that was so sweet.  She also had a dark chocolate bar for me that she wrapped in a tissue.  Love these precious kids.
