4/29/16..more shopping at the Freeland Garage sales

Love this picture of Peyton and Isaac in their new shirts from Aunt Ann

Got this nice card with pictures of baby James from Shannon and Rob today in the mail.  So adorable.  I am so happy for them.  What a gift from the Lord.

Kimmy met Vikki and I at Pat's.  We went to more garage sales but it was pretty slow finding things.  I found a live trap so that was nice.  Came down to $4.  I got a couple of rugs, a Harley Davidson Sweatshirt, motorcycle boots, more surprise bag stuff, and a pair of leggings for Hailey.
We had fun. It rained for a little while and was cold, but by the end of the day, the sun was shining and it was nice.  Warmed up a lot.  Bill went to his appt. in Detroit for his leg that had the last knee surgery.  Charlie went with him.  He got a good report praise God.  He got home at 4pm.  I came home and we went to the Sports Zone for the fish dinner.  Wes, Gayla, Joel, Louise, Gary and Dorthy, Nancy and Randy French and her dad, plus Jim and Letha, Randy and Anna Louis, were there. The perch was delicious and so was everything else.  We had a very nice time.  Joel got a new off road vehicle today.  He will have fun riding in that.  Came home and watched a movie, then off to bed!

Kimmy, Vikki and I went to the garage sales in Freeland.   It was cold and it rained a little so the weather wasn't the best.  Not as many people out though so that was nice.  We found lots of stuff fast.  Good thing we each had a stroller to haul stuff.  We had a really good day with lots of good stuff and so much fun.  Rody dropped Peyton and Isaac off for Bill to watch at 1:30 as he had to go to work.  We got home around 5.  The kids were happy to see us and were so excited when Vikki gave them the dollhouse and bow and arrows.  They had fun playing with them for a while and Vikki went through all the the cars we got.  We found two nice cases loaded with cars.  The lady said they were 15 dollars each but told us we could ask the boy who was selling them to see if he wanted to come down.  He gave us both for $20.  Such a great deal. There were about 160 cars and they were really cool cars too.  We kept some and the rest went for my surprise box for my Kids at church.  I found lots of stuff for my surprise box so I am happy about that.  Got some new pillows, a shirt for Kenzie, a few dresses for Hailey, a coat for Jacob, underwear and crocs for Max and a coat and some tops for me.  I made brownies for Jack to take to sell at school.  Made another batch for all of us to eat at her house.  Took them there and the kids were so happy and excited.  So much fun.  Melissa showed me the stuff they got from the garage sales.  Lots of great stuff:  Beautiful Lamps, lots of clothes for each person in their family, books, shoes, 2 Columbia coat/mittens/gloves sets, and a chair to hang in the house.  Got home around 10:30. Such a fun day!

Got a call from Wes at 7:30 a.m.  Gayla's sister, Jan, died last night at around 11.  Sad to hear that news.  We always visited with her at Outdoor Adventures and had her over to eat when Wes and Gayla would come up to visit us.  Kimmy came over after she dropped the boys off at school.  We headed to Freehand to see if there were any garage sales.  There weren't.  We did find two on our road. I bought a little sunglass holder clip for a quarter.  Kimmy opened it for me and I put it on the visor and tried to open it and it broke right away.  Guess I donated my quarter to that nice lady running the garage sale.  Then Vikki called and was at one by Mackinaw so we headed there.  I got a glass water picture with glasses and 2 Star War Wall hangings for Melissa's boys.  Vikki, Peyton and Isaac came back to my house after that.  The kids played for a while.  We made lunch and all ate.   After the girls left, I did my lesson for tonight kids care groups.  Went to class and had a good evening.  Tina and Chris gave me some candy and he brought me a cup of coffee.   Watched Ozzie and Harriet with Bill when I got home

We went to breakfast at Sullivan's.  Eleven of us came.  Louise was back from Florida.  I was so happy to see her.  Stopped at Melissa's for a few minutes afterward and then went to Kroger's to get gift cards while they are quadrupled.  Got a few groceries too.  Went to Aldi's after that and Charlie was just going to his truck.  He gave me a box of candy he had gotten from Jack's that he had Bill and I try the other day at their house.  Then gave me his shopping cart.  Came home and put groceries away.  A village green lawn care truck pulled in the driveway when I got home.  I watched it to see if he was getting out and coming up to the house, but he just backed out.  Well Bill went out a little later and there was a sign in the lawn that he had treated the yard around the house.  He left a bill for $49.  I had Bill call right away because we hadn't signed up for any lawn care.  He called and she told him he would have to pay it because they continue coming unless you cancel.  I asked him for the number and called her back and told her we had gotten 3 treatments at an auction but never signed up for anything.  She said it was written on the bill that they left that it would continue till cancelled.  I told her that since it was just 3 gotten at an auction that wasn't right to keep coming and not personally let us know.  Well she talked to the manager and told us we didn't need to pay.  Sure was happy about that.  Thank You Jesus!
Did some cleaning for care group.  Made chicken, potatoes and peas for dinner.  Care group was great!  We had 14 of us here.  We have such an amazing and committed group of wonderful people.  We are very blessed.  It was a great lesson and Bill did super at teaching it.  Lots of good discussion and lots of wonderful testimonies of what God has done.

Did some laundry and then got ready.  Kimmy came over, then Melissa.
Vikki, Peyton and Isaac came over too.  Kimmy gave Abby a bath for Melissa.  Abby was really good.  Kimmy trimmed her face too.   They all brought their cute doggies to go to the dog park.  It was Abby's first time there.  We spent quite a long time in the dog park and then we went for a walk back to the river.  We stayed on the road because of dioxin signs.  We went to the park so the kids could play for a while and had fun there for a while.  Left for my house and made egg salad sandwiches for lunch.  We visited till the girls had to leave to go pick up their kiddos.  Dad and I did our lesson for care group and then got ready and headed to Sullivan's to have dinner with Pastor Ken and Joan and all of the elders and their wives.  Had a very nice time and great food.  Came home and watched the news.

Got up and went to pick Charlie and Sue unto go to Meijer's to meet everyone from Faith Riders to ride up to Shepherd to the Maple Syrup festival.  19 of us went and there were 10 bikes. It was sunny but a little windy and cool. (in the 50's)  I was kind of glad to be riding in the car.  (our bike is getting fixed in Midland).  This is the first year we haven't met at the Harley Dealer for a biker blessing and donuts and coffee.  Always liked doing that.  We got to Shepherd, and there was a huge line.  The line moved pretty quickly while we visited.  This is the first year we ate in the big gym.  It was packed, but we were blessed to have a table empty just as we got there and all be able to sit together.  After we ate, we walked around and looked at all the crafts and then went outside to look at more.  I got a scrubby, some towels, and two cute aprons for a great deal.  Bill got steel cup holders for camping.  We went back to Charlie and Sue's and played 3 games of Euchre.  The boys won 2 and we won 1.   Came home and worked on the flower beds to get the weeds out.  When I was done I went in the house and Vikki called and wanted to go walk the rail trail.  We walked from Shattuck to McCarty Rd.  Got my steps in that I needed so was happy about that.  Peyton and Isaac did good on their bikes.  Peyton's tire was a little low so she got tired after a while.  Lenny did good, but wanted Vikki to be the one walking him.  He sure is her boy.   Came home and watched a movie with Bill.
