Hailey, Evan and Jack having fun jumping on their trampoline in the rain
The water in our ditch has never been this high
We've never had this much water in our garden either
At least the blueberry bushes are up out of the water.

We've never had water like this in the back woods either

Raspberries aren't underwater at least

Water water everywhere
Side woods by the house
At least the water went down by the end of the day

Still lots in the garden but it is down
We watched the morning devotion pastor did.  Read our Bibles, prayed and worshipped.  Had oatmeal for breakfast.  We sure were praying the rain would stop since we just planted our garden.  We were praying for Vikki's garden and Bruce's garden too.  Vikki's was doing good, but Melissa said theirs was under water.  Kimmy and Jared haven't planted yet, so that was good.  I was talking to Melissa and looked at my watch and realized it was the 18th. I told her I had to go right away so I could call Adam, because I realized it was his birthday.  He had texted me yesterday and showed me the chicken cake they made.  I didn't realize it was his birthday cake though, just thought it was a copy of his lego chicken.  In my defense, it didn't have Happy Birthday written on it yet and not candles lol.  Then this morning he sent a picture of his new knife and told me to show Papa.  That didn't click with me either.  Guess I should keep track of the days better.  I sang Happy Birthday to him and then talked to all the boys and Kimmy.  He's such a great kid!  Bill was in the shed and called Adam later to wish him Happy Birthday.  I took several walks outside when the rain let up.  Talked to Melissa and also talked and face timed with Vikki.  She's just like grandma now, shooting at the squirrels ha ha!  She is a real birdwatcher now for sure. She sure took a great picture of the oriole.
In the evening, the water went down some.  It is still sprinkling at 10 pm though.  Our total rain amount is 3.55 inches.  WOW!  We are praying for Bruce at work.  He said it's pretty bad with all this water!  Melissa had a good FaceTime doctor appt. today.  I was happy to hear that.  We had a good Zoom meeting with CMA Michigan State Leadership.

Day 63, 5/17/2020, Church online, Moved some plants on the deck out of the rain,

Peyton and Isaac came for a short visit with Vikki

Bruce, Evan and Jack planting their garden

Special bonus when Evan found worms

We got ready, read our Bibles before church started, worshipped and prayed.  Watched our church service online.  Great worship and a good message.  I made scrambled eggs, bacon and potatoes for breakfast afterward.  Walked around outside before the rain started.  Moved some plants under the overhang, since we are supposed to get lots of rain.  Filled the bird feeders and oriole feeder since I didn't want to do it in the rain.  Walked around looking at plants to get some exercise.  Bill worked on some pens and read on his book.  We called some people from our small group to check on them.  Talked to Melissa and Vikki.  Vikki stopped over with Peyton and Isaac to get some wood for Isaac to use his dremel on.  He's making a sign for his room.  We watched the movie" Sunrise in Heaven".

Love this cute picture

Jared gave me good advice today and told me I should spread out this Clematis Plant.  I thought it was wound on the trellis too tight, but it was fairly easy to do.
Ride through Bay City State Park
Lots of waves on the bay today and many wind sailing
Gayla with her face mask...This was the face mask she wore today....I forgot to take a picture so got this one from her post on Wes's Birthday!

Melissa and Max (a little blurry but the only pic I got)

Caught another raccoon!  It was a friendly sweet one!  Kimmy, Jared, and the boys came in the morning to move some blocks for us.  They moved them from the truck to the trailer, and then moved them from the trailer and put them around the fire pit.  The ground was too wet to drive the truck back there.  They all worked together with an assembly line and got done really fast.  They sure are joyful workers too!  It would have taken Bill and I so long!   I don't like Bill doing that kind of work by himself any more.  I was very happy when he wanted the boys to help.  Kimmy and Jared were a bonus! Thank you all so much!  The boys loved seeing the raccoon!  Bill took the raccoon and dropped it off.  I made a rhubarb pie with the rhubarb I picked from the garden.  YUM!  Wes and Gayla wanted us to go on a motorcycle ride with them.  We put our motorcycle in the driveway and joined them when they came by.  They wanted to ride to the Thumb, but when Bill got home from getting gas, he said it was really windy.  We ended up taking a shorter ride, which we were all happy about.  Didn't even get off of our bikes!  I was happy to see Gayla had her face mask bandana and Wes had a pull up neck thing for a mask.
It was nice riding together again!  I went to Vikki's to look at her porch and dropped a pair of binoculars off for them to bird watch with.  Went to Melissa's after that and dropped her big roll of toilet paper off, a pail of Bruce's, and a pair of binoculars for them to bird watch with too.  Kimmy and Jared just got binoculars and that made me think of it.  We are all into birdwatching now.  So much fun!

I was excited to see my ferns from Kimmy coming up this year.

Hibiscus is blossoming like crazy.  I love watching it!  My lavender plant has 38 blossoms on it, is growing, and smells so good

877 Cases of Coronavirus today, 95 deaths so far

We watched the morning devotion pastor did.  It was on Psalm 104 and was very good.
We went back to bed for a while because it was raining outside.  Made bacon, ham, eggs, potatoes and toast for breakfast.  Read our Bibles and then Bill read on his third book.  I sent thank you note to Lisa in our group, and a friendship card to my BFF, Vikki.  When it quit raining, I walked around and looked at all my plants and the garden.  Everything looks great.  I picked rhubarb and cut it up.  I will surprise Bill and make him a pie tomorrow.  Yum, my mouth is watering just thinking about it.  I talked to Vikki and Melissa and got a text from Adam.   Saw lots of beautiful birds today and enjoyed listening to them.  An oriole flew into our sliding glass door.  He flew up on the chair that Kenzie was sitting in last night and just sat there for a long time. Then after a while, he flew off.  I didn't get a picture, because I figured I would make him fly.  Bill and I put mulch in the spot left by the house and then put it down around the shed. Now we just have a tiny 3 ft. spot there to do.  We will just get a bag for that. We had a drumstick after all our hard work with the mulch.  12, 510 steps for today! I closed all three rings on my apple watch for my activity for the day!  Yay!
