Tues., 9/7/21, Packed camper, Picked campground garbage up, came home, unpacked camper, bad storm, lost power, Celebrated Peyton and Isaac's Birthdays

BayShore is pretty deserted this morning
We took the golf cart and drove around the campground.   Emptied trash barrels and turned them upside down.  Only had two loads as Don and Brett picked the rest up already which was so nice of them to offer to do for Bill
Bev was walking her dog while we were driving up the road
We walked back after leaving the cart off.  Bill by the Tabernacle
Our power went off while we were napping in the love seat.  Ha ha, no power to sit our reclining seats up, so we had to leave them like this.
Peyton and Isaac ready to blow their candles out

I had fun driving the car on Isaac's game.  I got pretty dizzy at the end.  Not as easy as I thought it would be.  I went off the road a few times, and even went through a corn field. Rody was getting a good laugh!  Bill didn't want to try it.
Papa and Isaac

Peyton and me playing her new game.  Lenny wanted to keep his paw on me

It was so sweet of Bruce and Melissa to get these piñatas for the kids because it was their special 10 yr. birthdays.  They filled them with candy for them.  The kids had so much fun trying to break them, and we had fun watching them

Peyton ready to start

Isaac took a video, papa watched and Peyton swung away.  It didn't take her too long to break it open
Isaac's turn.  Rody wasn't to brave, he kind of stood behind the wall while Isaac swung
Peyton and Papa watching Isaac as he starts trying to hit it.  It didn't take him too long to break it either.  Just enough time for them both to have fun doing it.
Bill finally decided to try driving too.  He did pretty good, but got dizzy too!
Isaac showing papa how to play

My plants were looking beautiful.  We must have gotten enough water while we were gone

Bill reading his Bible with the light switch LED light Vikki got us for the camper

Bill got up early so he could leave the campground by 7 to take the dunk tank back.  The kids sure had fun with it.  I ate, drank my coffee, then packed everything up and secured stuff in the camper.  I did some of the stuff outside for Bill too.  When he got back he finished the outside stuff, then we drove around picking up trash.  We said goodbye to Bev and Ron and then dumped our tank and left.  It was a good drive home with not much traffic.  I always pray for that when I have to haul the 5th wheel.  We got home and Bill unpacked his clothes and stuff, and I unpacked the rest.  He mowed the grass.  We were both trying to get done before the storm came.  Kimmy called, so I ran out to let Bill know it was raining, hailing, strong winds, a pole down by their driveway, and they were without power.  He got done a few minutes later before the storm hit.  I put everything away that could blow on the deck, and got everything off the pool deck.  The pool stayed nice and clean so that was great.  We were both tired when we got in, so we took naps before we had to leave for Vikki's.  When we woke up, our power was out.  We found out when we went to get out of our recliners and the power button wouldn't work.  We had to crawl out of them.  I called Kimmy to let her know we were without power too, since I told them they could come here if they needed too.  Now we were in the same boat.  Jared looked and told us it was supposed to be back on at 2:30 tomorrow.  We went to Vikki's.  We saw lots of trees and power lines down.  There were many in our area that were without power.  We had fun singing happy birthday, giving a little birthday spanking and a pinch to grow an inch to each of the kids, and eating cupcakes and ice cream.  They were really good too.  They opened their cards.  We had already given them their presents.  We had so much fun playing games, and watching the kids break their piñatas.  We charged all of our devices and chargers there. Vikki gave me a nice charger to take home to use, and Rody gave us a nice bright light to use.  Bill had to read his Bible on the couch and I went to the Lazy Boy to read mine.  When we were done, we just had candle light because we wanted to save the batteries in the lanterns and battery operated lights.  It was a fun night for sure!  Texted Adam today.  Talked to Melissa too.

Monday, 9/6/21 Morning service, afternoon motorcycle ride, evening dinner with friends, fellowship at campfire

Matt came over with his I Pad and wanted to take a selfie.  I took one too.  He’s such a kind and joyful person

Ice cream at Grindstone City with Bev and Ron

We went to the morning service.  Then everyone started packing up to leave.  Bev and Dave and Bill and I stayed an extra day so the guys could relax after planning a great block party and CMA rally,  Bill and I rode on the golf cart and told everyone goodbye.  In the afternoon We the four of us took a nice motorcycle ride.  We went to Bay Port, Port Austin and Grindsrone.  We talked to some very nic people who had beautiful Indian motorcycles, But he two guys were  brothers.  The four couldn’t have been nicer. I asked them if they believed in Jesus and they said yes, and they didn’t know what they would do without Him.  They let Bill and Bev try sitting on their motorcycles.  They said they would one to our rally next year. We went to get ice cream at Grindstone City.  We got baby cones and they were huge.  We took a different route back.  I loved riding by Lake Huron.  When we got back to the campground, I made potatoes on the grill, and we grilled sirloin burgers.  I also took cottage cheese and fresh peaches cut up to Bev and Ron’s campsite.  She had the table set up beautifully.  They had grilled steaks and she made a salad and had nachos and salsa.  We sat around the campfire and talked and really got to know each other better. They are a super nice couple.

It was another beautiful day with temperatures in the mid 70’s and sunshine.  We went to prayer and to the morning service.  I went to the pool with Gayla and Barb.  Sabrina and her family were there, so we talked with her for a few minutes and also got to see Katelynn’s baby, Zane.  He’s so cute with lots of hair.  The twins were having so much fun on the slide.  Matt was in the pool and came to say hi to me too.  Barb and I went and got our donation box and packed up the few shirts that were left on the table.  We counted the money, and we divided it and each made $79 for Run for the Son.  We relaxed at the camper until 4. There were two baptisms so we went to see them. Very moving!  We ate spaghetti at the dining hall, then went to  worship and and the evening service.  We said our goodbyes with tears to Wayne and Lisa who are our State coordinator and are moving to Tennessee after the rally.
Bev and I took the golf cart and got the cake from our camper and delivered it to the family center. Julie and I cut the cake and Wes and a couple of others scooped ice cream.  Bev handed us plates.  Gayla helped me wash tables afterwards.  Bill and I didn’t get to bed til 12:30. It was another fun and busy day!

Matt Lake giving his testimony!  He is part of the Strength Team.  They just removed a cancerous mass from his side and he got out of the hospital yesterday.  He had told Bill a few weeks ago he would give his testimony.  After that he found out he had cancer, but still wanted to come give his testimony!  Once again God was glorified!

I went to leadership prayer, but Bill had gotten calls from vendors saying they were coming so he started setting up tables along the road with Don and Jim.  After prayer, we all went to serve and help out.  It sprinkled in the morning Dior a few minutes, so we had to dry tables off.  Kimmy, Jared and the boys got here, then Kenzie, then Vikki Rody and the kids. Kimmy and Jared’s pottery display was so beautiful!  I sold some leather jackets and stuff at a table in between Kimmy and Kenzie.  Then I went to help out at the bake sale with Barb.  At the end, the bake sale made $575 which will go for Run for the Sun.  Yay! I was so busy that I had the kids and grandkids just come and get food when they were hungry.  Vikki and Kimmy were so kind and helped me so much.  Peyton and Isaac opened their birthday presents from us.  They are excited about their birthday ms in two days.  Bill and I went to prayer before the evening service.  He did a great job again giving announcements during the service and introducing speakers.  Cheryl gave her testimony and Dennis gave his. Hearts were touched, tears shed and God was glorified!  Our God is alive and awesome!  He answers prayers and and is still doing miracles! There is none like Him!  After the service we went to the Red barn for ice cream.  They stay open this weekend just for CMA always!  Kids showed me their face painting pictures and were so happy about them.  I told them my granddaughter was the one who did it and they thought that was so great.  I talked to Matt and he got a surf board on his face because he’s going surfing soon he said.  He’s such a sweet kid.

Friday, 9/3/21, Beautiful weather for rally, rode around on golf cart and visited friends, Bill did a great job organizing rally, good evening service, great time around campfire with Ziggy playing his guitar and leading us in worship songs

Bev and Ron relaxing
Julie holding Max while he sleeps
Ziggy leading worship by the campfire
Katelynn, holding the baby and her twin boys by the campfire
Another beautiful day. We read our Bibles and prayed, then went to help set tracks, mugs, and other CMA stuff on the two tables they wanted them on in goodies.  We came back and had BLT’s for lunch.  Elaine came over so I told her I would make her a sandwich.  I took it outside to her and we visited while she ate.  The bees are really buzzing here at BayShore.  Makes it miserable sometimes to sit outside and eat.  We sat in the shade and that helped.
Poor Wes and Gayla were in the sun ant it was crazy with bees.  Not as bad when we don’t have food out there, but we like eating outside.  We looked around in goodies and did some more visits on the cart.  Bill was driving around on the cart getting picnic tables for people and just helping where he could.  The evening service was so good.  The worship was great!  Our National Evangelist talked about the block party tomorrow and how we need to show the love of Jesus and share the Good News.  Bill had to organize this whole event and he had to introduce speakers and give announcements about what’s happening at the block party and for the rest of the days we are here. He did great!  After the service there was a campfire and Ziggy played amazing worship songs we sang to, Bill and Dave Lisch told jokes (it was Christian joke night), and they told everyone who wanted s’mores to bring their stuff.  Bill, Sabrina, Katelynn, the new Baby, Zane, and the twins came after we were there a while. Bill and I made s’mores for them.  We sat around the campfire for two hours. Perfect temperature and no mosquitoes.  It was just wonderful!

Thursday, 9/2/21, left for BayShore, camped by Wes and Gayla, played 3-13

Deer by camp director’s house
Camper all ready
Barb’s TP
Barb by her TP
 Barb by her new Teepee

We listened to worship music.  Packed the last minute things in the camper.  Gave inside and outside plants some water.  Left at 9 for the CMA State Rally at BayShore.  Set up so Wes and Gayla’s and our camper faces each other.  The camp gave Bill a golf cart to use, so we drove around and welcomed people and asked if they needed anything.  Barb got here so I helped her set up her new teepee.  There are only two inside poles and one outside window pole.  You would think that would be simple enough.  Well we couldn’t get it to quite look the shape it should be.  Bill came to help.  It said to extend the poles, then in the next step it said to extend the poles.  We thought we had already done that.  Then I got down inside the tent and could see the bottom of the poles pulled out and snapped into place.  Bill lifted and I got the poles where they needed to be.  It sure is nice and it is simple once you know what they mean.  We did have lots of laughs!  I warmed up chili for dinner and we shared some with Barb.  It was a beautiful day so we were able to enjoy eating outside.  We played 3-13 in the evening. Bill was the winner.

Got up early so I could get my reading done.  Took a shower, then I was off to Jacks to get burger so I could make chili to take camping with us.  It's getting to be chili sort of weather! I made two batches of brownies while the chili was simmering.....more goodies to go in the bake sale.  I did some more packing while things were cooking/baking.  Bill loaded all the shirts/jackets we are going to sell into his truck.  The camper is pretty much packed now except for the last minute stuff in the morning.  Vikki and the kids came over after they got out of school.  I was sure happy to see them.  I am missing all my kiddos since they are back in school now.  I forgot to take their picture because I was busy ordering pizza kits from them.  Bummer!  After they left, I dropped off Bruce's Birthday card to Melissa's.  His birthday is Sunday, and we will still be at BayShore.  Bill picked up some protein drinks that were $5 off of two at Sam's Club.  He also got some RV toilet paper from Walmart.  When I got home I packed the freezer/refrig. stuff in the camper.  I'm going to bed early, so I can get up early, and get everything I need to do done.
