Monday, August 8, 2022, Happy 24th Anniversary Melissa and Bruce, Adam had soccer tryouts,

Yay, Maddy came home today.  She was sad that Brielle had to stay, but was able to go up and hold her and give her lots of love!

Took Adam to soccer tryouts in the morning. Kimmy met us there with Adam’s big water jug.  Yay, they had a road closed sign up at the corner.  They are fixing the awful dip that was in our road at the other end.  Finally after all our calls, they are getting at it.   Maddy messaged me and sent me some beautiful pictures of the baby.  Maddy got to leave the cardiac unit and go home today.  Baby Brielle has to stay until she can get off the c pap in the NICU.  I went to Sam’s Club and picked up some Nesquik chocolate milk for Bruce and Melissa.  Dropped it off at their house and then headed to pick Adam up at noon.  We stopped and Adam got a frappe’ and burger from McDonald’s.  When we got home, he went with Papa to run some errands.  I made chicken and potatoes on the grill, and we each had a ear of corn from the garden.  I went to Sam’s again to get protein drinks for Bill and Adam. I also remembered to check to see if they had frozen pretzels for Melissa.  I forgot this morning.  They had them, so I picked some up for them.  I got home, then left to take Adam to soccer tryouts from 7-9 p.m. Jared met me there and put Adam's bike on my bike rack.  Adam is going to ride the rail trail tomorrow. Came home and hung out til it was time to pick him up.  It only takes about 15 minutes to get to where he goes.  I went back to pick him up, and timed it just right.  The kids were all just coming out of the gate and there was Adam.  He hopped in the car and off we went.  We played 3-13 when we got home.  Papa won, Adam came in second and I was the big loser.  We are waiting for Adam to get out of the shower now to play Skip Bo.  He loves our new shower and stays in for like a half hour.  He's so cute when he tells us how much he likes it.  Will have to post our our Skip Bo game went tomorrow.

We went to Wes and Gayla's church for a Faith Rider's church visit.  Bill, Wes and Elaine shared.  It was so moving when Elaine shared her testimony of what God has done in her life.  It was nice seeing Joel after the service.  They had lemonade and some snacks in the fellowship hall.
Carl, Jim Flickinger, Jim Champagne, Bill and I rode to Waltrusville to go to a motorcycle event, but the sign said it would be rescheduled when we got there.  We ended up just going to eat, then heading home.

Vikki was over swimming with Adam, then Melissa, Max and Vader came over to visit them.  Bill and I got home and visited some, then Melissa and Max had to leave.  Vikki, Bill and I swam for a while, then Vikki had to leave too. I talked to Kimmy a couple of times. Adam walked on the treadmill.  His try outs for soccer start in the morning.  He has been working hard to get in shape so he can be on the soccer team.

We watched a movie and had ice cream before going to bed.

Sat., 8/6/22, Went to the Veterans car/bike show in the morning at Garber, Vikki had to have Lenny put down, Went to Outback, Played Skip Bo with Adam

Baby Brielle was born shortly after midnight.  She weighed5 lbs. 2 oz..  She was 5 weeks early so had to go to NICU and be on a c pap to help her breathe and also a feeding tube. We are so thankful for this miracle baby.  Please keep her and her mommy who has been fainting, in your prayers.  Her mom had to stay in the cardiac unit because of A fib and some other problems.

Sweet baby...I can't wait to hold her.  She is just precious.
Bill looking at his tickets.  He said he had the number before the one that was drawn for the 50/50, but when he flipped it over, there was the winning ticket on the other side.  He won $222
Bill with his winnings. He was pretty happy and we were all happy for him!
Isaac spotted an outside projector in a basket and said that's the one I want.  Papa gave him some money for 12 tickets and he filled his name out on them.  I joked with him and told him to put his tickets in the makeup basket for me.  He didn't lol.  Well, they drew his name and he won this big $120 value basket.
Papa and Adam
Me with my basket....I won the makeup basket because Bill had put his name in each drawing.  We sure had the winners today. Rody took pictures.  We all had to laugh because of winning so much.
Adam floating on our new mesh float.   He and I swam for a while when we got home.
Bill with his trophy for best bike.  Another win!

Very sad day.  Vikki had to put Lenny down. He was getting lots of hot spots and has been very anxious for a while now, to the point where he is destroying door frames, etc.  This isn't how our Lenny is.  Vikki said the vet thought he has cancer and it went to his brain.  He will be better off, but we will all be very sad and will miss him so much.  He was such a loving loyal dog.

Our very special Lenny!!!

Fri., 8/5/22, Jack and Evan tested positive for Covid, We all packed up and left BayShore, Tried new ice cream place

Peyton and Isaac at McDonalds on the way home
Vikki and Peyton eating ice cream at Brandt's Farm Market
Me, Peyton and Papa eating ice cream

Everyone got ready and went to their classes in the morning.  We had yummy cookies and coffee between classes, then Kimmy came for the last class.  We went to our camper afterward, and Bruce told us that Evan and Jack had just tested positive for Covid.  We decided to pack up right away and leave then.  We were going to leave in the evening.  Kimmy, Vikki, Adam, Bill, me and all our kids camping with us, pitched in and helped so it went fast.  Adam stayed at BayShore with Hailey.  Kimmy took Evan and Jack with her and Eli to keep them, so Melissa wouldn't catch Covid.  Kimmy and family had all just had it in Copper Harbor, so were unlikely to get it now. Papa emptied the camper, then drove the camper home. Vikki and the kids came with me, so we left before Bill was done. We stopped at McDonalds and got some food, and saw Bill go by with the camper.
When we got home we found out that Kit Kat had snuck in the garage before we left for BayShore and was locked in there without any food or water.  Poor Kit Kat.  I felt so bad.  She had used a garbage bag on the floor to go potty on, since she didn't have any litter.  I'm thankful we got so much rain, because she must have drank some that came under the garage door with the 4 inches we got.  She sure was happy to see me and very loving all the rest of the day.  She sure did eat too. Kim Reminder came for a swim.  She had asked me yesterday if it was ok if she came after work.  She swam and I helped unload some things.  Vikki unloaded her stuff, then left.  I sat and visited with Kim while she was in the pool.  Kit Kat caught a chipmunk while Kim was here.  She was sad about it, but I was happy.  They are sure destructive critters.  I went for a swim when Kim left.  It sure felt good.  Then Bill and I went to Adam Curry's graduation party.  We had a great time and sat with a young guy who was on fire for God.  I was talking to him, and he quoted at least 6 scriptures the evangelist at BayShore had taught on.  It was amazing and was such a confirmation.  I love God's Word and those who follow it.  I had a chance to pray over Adam before I left because he was having anxiety.  The evangelist had anointed Bill and I for prayer the night before, and God gave an opportunity right away.  Adam has always been a favorite of mine, so I was happy when he shared with me what was going on.  I'm trying harder to follow the Holy Spirit in me since hearing such great messages at BayShore.  Vikki called earlier and was swimming at our house.  I thought she still might be there, but when we got there, she had left already.  I called her and she and Peyton were at a little farm marked that just opened up a few miles from us.  We met them there and were happy to have ice cream together.
It sure was yummy.  When we got home, Bill helped me, and we got the camper unloaded before Hailey brought Adam here.  I wanted to have it done before he got here, because I know he planned on helping me.  I know he was really tired from all that was going on at BayShore, so was happy he could just get home and rest.  He's staying with us so he doesn't get Covid before his soccer tryouts.  He has worked hard to make the team.
