Tues., 5/2/23, Maddy and Alec's 2nd Anniversary, another cold, rainy, very windy day, took our absentee ballots in, made rhubarb pie and sauce, went to prayer at church

Lots of woodpeckers were at the suet feeder today

Cut up the rhubarb from the garden
Made a rhubarb pie and yummy sauce below

Kimmy sent me these pictures tonight.  She was going through pictures for Jacob's graduation.  My mom held my hand in it.  It is such a wonderful memory.  I had the best mom and dad ever!  I sure do miss them everyday!

It was another cold, rainy, very windy 40 degree day.  Brrr...I tried to stay inside as much as I could.  Bill took the garbage out in our new bins.  It was so windy, the recycling one blue over a couple of times.  We had to go drop off our absentee ballots in the morning.  I had a nice talk with Kimmy on the phone.  We think alike on a lot of things. After we hung up, I put on worship music, read my Bible and spent time with the Lord.  Bill was at the VA getting a blood test. I had a good day.  Not much itching from the eczema.  It's getting better! Thank you Lord!

I washed and cut up the rhubarb, then made a pie and cooked some to make rhubarb sauce.  Made personal Little Caesars pizza's for dinner; 2 for Bill and 1 for me.  Last time I made him one and he said he wish he had another.  He didn't want me to make him another one though.  This time I remembered!

After dinner, I went to church for prayer.  There were 11 of us there.  We had an awesome prayer time, lifting up the congregation, needs of people there, prayer points from Pastor's sermon, and our nation.  We have seen the Holy Spirit move in amazing ways through prayer.

When I got home, we had a piece of rhubarb pie.  Bill said it was good.  I was happy he liked it.  After that we relaxed in the love seat.

Isaac, me, Kenzie and Peyton

Bill went to have coffee with Charlie.  I met Maddy at Biggby at 9 and we drank our coffee, visited, went through our lesson.  I went to Hobby Lobby after that and walked through.  They had Wall displays on sale for 50% off.  I found a heart with the Love Chapter Scripture in it for 10.50, so got it.  It's one of my favorite verses, and it looks so nice on the wall and is a great reminder.

I walked outside, then decided to pick the rhubarb when I saw it was ready.  I got a bag full.  I also tied one of my blueberry bushes up to make it grow straight.  I gave Kit Kat some attention when I was outside.  I also filled the bird feeders and put suet out.  It was a cold, windy day.  I can't wait for warmer weather to arrive, so I can be outside more.

Kenzie called and said she might stop over later.  She was waiting for her mom to get out of work.  I called her back and told her I could just come to her mom's if that was easier for her.  She has a long way to go to get home, so thought I would save her time.  She got a heartbeat monitor, so we tried to find baby's heartbeat, but couldn't.  Vikki thought she might have heard it.  We sure could hear Kenzie's.  Vikki made me a yummy coffee.  Isaac played some beautiful songs on the piano.  I could listen to him all day.  It was nice getting a picture with the three grandkids.  So thankful for them and love them so much.  I left for home after that.  Bill and I were supposed to go to a softball game that a junior league team the Marine Corp League sponsors was supposed to play.  It started raining and the game got cancelled.  Maddy and Alec sent us each a text and asked if we wanted to meet for dinner.  Neither of us saw it, but were thinking the same thing and I called Maddy to see if they wanted to meet us.  We met at Coco Loco.  We didn't see their texts till we got there.  We celebrated their 2 year wedding anniversary that will be tomorrow.  Vikki FaceTimed me and got to see Brielle.  Brielle loves phones and seemed happy to see Vikki.

We came home and filled out our absentee ballots for the school mileage and then watched the movie, A Matter of Faith.  It was a great movie with a great ending.  I talked to Melissa a few times.

Ha ha, Peyton told Vikki she made a soap dispenser!  We thought of Jared and his dream where he was a soap dispenser and had another good laugh about it

I called Evan before we left for church to wish him Happy Birthday but didn't get an answer.  Melissa called me back a little while later and I got to sing to Evan and wish him a happy birthday.  He was very cute on the phone!

We went to prayer, then to church.  Peyton and Isaac sat with us, because Rody was doing sound and Vikki was having bad pains in her sides, so didn't come today.  Worship was awesome today!  Isaac went up front by the altar to worship during the last song.  He loves worship!  Pastor preached another great message today too.  We prayed for people after the service, then I had another elder, Chris and his wife and Bill pray for me for healing of this eczema. Following what the Bible says to do.  The youth were putting on a pancake and sausage breakfast after church to raise money.  Peyton and Isaac both worked at it and did a great job serving people.

We went to fill our cars with gas at Kroger and got our $1 off a gallon up to 35 gallons.  Sure saved a lot on our gas.  Got it for $2.59.  Bill headed to Kroger to collect money for the Marine Corp. League.  I headed home, but stopped at Aldi to get Almond milk.

I walked around the yard when I got home because the sun was out and it warmed up a little.  Things are sure growing nicely.  I talked to Vikki for a long time when I got in the house.  Texted lots with Stacie too.  She has Eczema and was very helpful with things to avoid and things to do.  Love that sweet girl!  She is always caring and such a blessing.

Bill and I took a nap.  When we woke up, we ate a bowl of soup and had a chicken salad sandwich with it.  Melissa called and invited us over for ice cream and brownies for Evan's birthday.  He didn't want cake this year.  Everything tasted delicious and we had lots of fun.
I gave Evan a pinch to shrink an inch, which he didn't like at all.  He opened his present from Melissa and Bruce and card from us.  He is having a party with friends, so will get the rest of his gifts from Bruce and Melissa then.  Hailey FaceTimed while we were there so I got to see and talk to her.  Melissa sent her phone out to the trampoline where he was and she wished Evan a happy birthday.

Bill played Jack in ping pong and Jack beat him.  Bill won the other 4 games.  He was amazed at how much Jack has improved since the last time they played.  Evan played him too and he has also improved lots.  This is their 50th day they have played since getting their ping pong table.  Evan showed us how he does flips on the trampoline.  Jack went out too and did flips.  We girls watched through the window and Papa went outside.  Brrr to cold for us.

We came home and did our Bible reading.  Then relaxed.

I love this picture of Kimmy and Jacob!  Such a special mom/son picture!

We got ready and then went to meet up with Faith Riders at Meijer to ride to the Maple Syrup
Festival.  It was 50 degrees out and had just stopped raining.  It warmed up and got in the 60's.
We ate yummy pancakes and delicious sausage, then walked around to all of the vendors and did some shopping.  I bought a crocheted bag holder which is really nice.  I talked to the lady selling it and she may come to our Street Party at BayShore this year to be a vendor there.  We also went to the car show which was really nice.  We all got very warm walking around.  We talked to some people about CMA and what the ministry does when we had opportunities.  Some headed home earlier than us, but we did a stop at the Country Creamery which is one of our favorite ice cream places.  We just had room for it to fill in the spaces.  It was in the 60's by then, so we sat outside.  I loved our great surprise of getting to see Jacob on his prom night.  It certainly made our day.  Thanks Kimmy and Vikki for bringing him.  We love seeing you too!  We came home and read our Bibles and relaxed in our recliners.  All that fresh air made us tired.
