Tues., 5/13/25, Bill took the garbage out, I had a 10 am doctor appt., washed bird baths and filled them with water, filled jelly feeders and sunflower feeder, Sat on the deck and read Bible, picked the rhubarb, walked around and checked pants

I made this yummy grilled egg, bacon and cheese sandwich with the Amish cheese bread I bought.  It was sure delicious!
FaceTimed with Kenzie and Revhyn for a long time this morning.  My heart melted when he waved to me
They went outside and sat on the glider on their porch.  Rehvyn loves it outside and was just so cute.  I sure enjoyed our time together through FaceTime.
Kit Kat joined me again when I was reading my Bible on the deck
Hailey took these pictures on their bike ride.  Abby sure loves riding in the cart.
It was a rainy morning.  I took this picture of the hummingbird feeder in the window and the beautiful cherry tree in blossom outside
Dark clouds in the sky
This tree has gotten so big, I can hardly see the swing set any more.  It sure is green!

We woke up to a wet deck because it was raining out.  Just a light rain.  It was already 55 degrees when I got up.  My day sure started out a little scary.  I was leaving to go to my 10 am doctor appt.  Got in the car at 9:40.  I looked and saw that I only had 4 miles left to go on this tank of gas.  I forgot that before we went camping I was trying to wait to go get gas with Bill for $1 off per gallon.  Well, this morning I about panicked.  We have a gas station 2 miles away, but it is in the wrong direction, so I wouldn’t have made it to my appointment on time.  I backed out of the driveway and bumped into the big garbage can.  I stopped and put it back in its place.  Whoops, I hope Bill wasn’t seeing me on the Blink lol.  I got to the speedway gas station which was four miles away.  Kenzie was calling, but I didn’t have time to answer.  It took a minute to figure out how to work these new pumps.  I did, then put $4 in and left right away.  I had 8 minutes to make it to my appt.  I got out on the road quickly, then made all but one stoplight.  I ended up getting there with a minute to spare.  I got in about three minutes after I got there.  It was a good appt.  The doctor thinks I am having bad leg pain because of the statin I am taking.  She is having me quit it for 2 weeks to see if that’s the cause.  She answered all of my questions and we had a good talk besides.  I left there and thought I would stop somewhere and get a breakfast sandwich.  Then I thought about having all of the stuff I need at home to make one, so went home and did that instead.  It was extra delicious and I sure saved some money.

I went outside and saw the butterfly I put in the garden had fallen.  I got some ties and hung it up properly.  Then I washed out the bird baths and filled all four of them.  I filled the jelly containers too.  I sat on the deck and read my Bible after that and prayed the prayers in my books for my grandchildren and for Bill.  I have been doing that for 5 years already.  They are such great prayers and scriptures that go with them.  I add some more kids too that I know don’t have grandparents to pray for them.  Kit Kat stayed by me the whole time and didn’t really want to move when I tried putting the cushions away.  She did thought when I pulled the final cushion away.  I put my new Smart Cart away because I didn’t want it blowing if a thunderstorm came suddenly.  The sky looked really dark.  I quickly picked the rhubarb and cut the leaves off.  It started sprinkling lightly.  I put Acid mix around the blueberry plants.  Then I headed inside.  I got in the house and it started down pouring.  We sure needed a good rain.  My plants are really happy now.  I walked around and looked afterwards and the ferns are multiplying again this year.  I love how ferns are so pretty and more keep coming.

We ate sirloin burgers, corn and fried potatoes for dinner.  I called Sue to catch up and I also called Marie to catch up.  Had some real good conversations.  I called Barb to get her prices on the hearts she makes so Sue could let her sister in law know.  Then I worked on my blog.

5/12/2025, Ate breakfast and read my Bible on the deck, Unpacked camper, when it was 82 degrees out I came in and caught up on my 3 blogs, went to Melissa’s to pick up Brooks shoes, used my new cart for garden work and loved it!

Jack, silly Evan, and Hailey...Evan has new shoes on, Hailey has new shoes on and I stopped to pick my new shoes up.  Hailey and Melissa found us all great deals.  My Brooks they found were only $5.  They are like new and are so comfy.  In the store they are around $165.
Evan posing nicely
I love spring time when everything is coming back...and everything is so green out
My new Brooks Shoes
The deck looks beautiful today

I loved using my new smart cart.  It makes the job so much easier.  I got all but the far little section done today.  My new tool I got at the garage sale worked great loosening the dirt.  My handy dandy shovel from the kids always works great and is so easy to use.

Beautiful sunset tonight

It was warm early in the morning, so I drank my coffee, ate my breakfast and then read my Bible out on the deck.  Kit Kat joined me and was a good kitty and a very happy kitty to have company outside.  I unpacked the camper after that.  I took all of my clothes baskets out with me and loaded them all up.  I put them in my car and drove up to the house which is so much easier than trying to carry everything out there.  Bill started mowing the grass.  He got all of his stuff out of the camper yesterday.

It was getting hot and I looked and saw it was 82 degrees.  I decided to come in have, lunch, then I worked on catching up on my three blogs.  Melissa called me and said Hailey told her she had to let me know about the great shoes they found in my size.  They are Brooks and are like new and only $5.  I was so thankful Hailey thought of me.  She knows her Nana well.  I told her to let me know when they were home.  I finished my blogs, yay.  Melissa called and said they were home.  I told her I would bring the watermelon Hailey brought yesterday to their house.  Bill hurried and got a bowl when he heard that.  She had one big container of cut up watermelon and another of watermelon slices.  She always brings something good when we have family gatherings.  Kimmy called me and told me about a house for sale near them.  She sent me a link so I could look at it.  I sent it to Bill.  I would love to live by Kimmy, but I also love living by Melissa and Vikki.  Plus our church is only a few miles away, the VA is only a little ways away, we are in an amazing location where everything is handy.  It sure is a cute house though.  I teased Jack and Evan and showed them the house we were moving into.  They looked sad while looking at the pictures.  I could see relief in their eyes when I told them we weren’t moving.  They are pretty used to Nana and Papa’s house and having us close.  I love my shoes.  They are so cute and so comfy.

I came home and the temperature was just right for me to work outside.  I weeded and loosened the soil in my flower garden.  I planted Zinnia seeds I got from Kimmy’s Zinnias she gave me last year.  Hope they come up and look as beautiful as they did last year.   Just have a tiny area in the garden on one end to do tomorrow.
I pulled weeds around the deck by the shed and around the house too.  When I came in I was ready to rest.  I decided to take my shower first and then I rested.  Got lots done today.

Butterfly in my garden

We packed up everything and left the campground for home to celebrate Mother’s Day together.  How proud I am of the mothers the girls have become and the love they have for their kids and husbands.  They are our good success from the Lord as we follow him, and it passes down to every generation.  God is faithful!

Abi was the first one to wish me a happy Mother’s Day.  I texted her bask right away and thanked her and she texted me back.  Such a sweet girl!  I talked to Kenzie and she said they were coming and she said not to tell anyone because she wanted to surprise them.  Then she texted me back and said Travis had to pick up his brother from his sisters house, so she wouldn’t be able to come.  Then she texted that she might come in the truck.  It isn’t working real well and not to reliable for her and Rehvyn so she didn’t make it.  We ate a sandwich on our way for breakfast.  I tried to listen to our church message, but the volume wouldn’t work too well.  We could listen to worship which was awesome even though we couldn’t hear it real well.  We decided to wait to listen to Pastor’s message because it was very hard to hear.  We stopped when we got to Freeland and picked up the pizzas we had ordered, then we headed to our house.  I fed the fish and made sure there was jelly in the feeders.  I wiped off all the outside tables which were pretty dirty, and then got the cushions out and put them on the swings and chairs.  Bill brought some of our stuff in from the camper.  I put our pizza in the oven.  Kimmy, Jared and the kids got here and Jared put their pizzas in the oven too.  Vikki got here next, then Rody and Isaac came a while later.  Hailey, Evan and Jack were next, then Melissa, Bruce and Max got here.  We ate our pizza’s, breadsticks, cheese bread, and cookies.  We all had a wonderful time hanging out together.  We stayed outside most of the day because it was beautiful out and warmer outside than in, because we had been gone for 4 days and had the heat off.  Vikki, Kimmy and families gave me a black two wheel cart to use for my gardening, weeding and whatever.  It is so easy to pull.  Kimmy just got one and loves it and I have seen pictures of Jared’s mom’s.  I can’t wait to use it.  Melissa and her family got me my beautiful hanging plant for in front of the house which has been a tradition for many years.  I certainly was blessed.  I got my bag and showed Bill what he got me...all of the stuff I got at the gift shop while we were in Falmouth lol.  A cute salt and pepper set, a cross necklace and a beautiful metal butterfly for my garden.  It was regularly $42 and was on sale for $15.  Thank you everyone! We sat by the fire pit on the deck when it was cooler and had it going.  The kids had fun playing basketball, knife throwing and having walking races around our house.  They are such fun kids.  Then Kimmy, Melissa, Vikki and I walked around and looked at our fish, all of my plants and the ferns coming up in the woods.  Kimmy looked at Bill’s shed deck which Bill power washed last year, but didn’t have time to get stained.  She said it was a nice cool day and we should stain it right now while we had everyone here to help. I said no, but Vikki was all in and was saying yes we should.  I told them to check with dad and he was saying yes too.  It was pretty amazing when Jared and I went down to the basement and there was the big pail of stain, and we found enough brushes for everyone and enough cool whip containers for our stain.  (I had saved the ones we used last time). We took them upstairs and we all went out to the deck.  Kimmy had it swept off and ready.  We lined up and each took our number of boards all across the deck.  Then we just kept moving back after the small area had its second coat.  45 minutes later, the deck was finished.  Jacob and Adam did the steps when we got to that part.  What a wonderful helpful, hardworking family and what a great Mother’s day gift.  Oh I almost forgot.  Earlier in the day, Bill came up to me and said he had a gift for me.  I looked and he had my hug ring that he had got for me and also one for all of the girls.  I had lost mine when we were camping and had told him about it and asked him to let me know if he found it.  I thought it might be in the motorcycle, but we traveled all over so it could have been anywhere.  Well yesterday, he was out in the yard and told the boys he had something in his shoe.  He had felt it before but didn’t check it out.  It was my ring!  What another great Mother’s Day gift.
