Only picture taken today. It was 85 here today and very muggy. Good day to get in the pool and get some exercise
Got up at 8. Made my coffee, then grabbed my Bible and highlighter and went in the family room to read so I wouldn’t wake Bill up in the living room. After I finished reading, I went outside and used the 3 prong tool to loosen the dirt and get the weeds out on both of the ends of the garden and some of the side. Bill ordered a Mantis that comes tomorrow, so that will get the weeds in the garden and probably around the outside of the fence. It was so hot out that when I went in I told Bill I was going to go swimming. Then he wanted to know if I wanted to drive around Freeland and look at the tornado damage. I told him we could do that now, so we got ready and left. We saw some damage, but not what we had pictures of. I tried to find Meadow St. because that was the road he thought it was on. I searched and there was no Meadow st. We ended up close to Saginaw, so we stopped at Scoops and he had a hot fudge sundae and I had a single scoop waffle cone. It was freezing in the ice cream shop, so I was glad when Bill finished and I could eat the rest of mine in the Jeep. He wanted to go back to Freeland, so I looked at pictures from yesterday on Facebook and found where it was. We headed there and it lead us to S. Meadow St. on the way to where we were going. Wow! There was lots of damage in that neighborhood. So sad for those people, but I’m thankful no one was injured in the storm.
When we got home, I relaxed for a few minutes, then got ready and went swimming. I worked on skimming stuff off the bottom until it was clean then ran the filter, while skimming the top. It looked nice and clean, so I spent the next hour swimming and floating. So nice to get good exercise. The water temperature was so nice too. Vikki texted me that she was going to come swim, but then fell asleep. I told her I missed her.
I baked salmon for a half hour, then broiled it for 7 minutes. It was Charlie’s recipe and it is so good. Made corn on the cob from Marie and also baked potatoes. It was all yummy.
After we ate, it started sprinkling right as I was getting my swim suit and towel off the line. I came in and before long there were severe thunderstorm warnings, then other places got tornado warnings. I let Kimmy, Melissa and Vikki know. Melissa was the only one who didn’t get the alert. It sure got windy here. I decided to take some pictures.
