5/27/16 Having fun at Outdoor Adventures

I

It was a very fun day.  We swam, walked, and rode bikes.  Vikki and I went to town and Bill watched Peyton and Isaac.  He took the to ride on the hay ride and then to get ice cream.  Kimmy and Jared met us and we picked up the three boys to spend the night.  We took them to the inside pool and we all had fun swimming.  Then we took Them to the pavilion to get ice cream.  They remodeled and now serve hard ice cream too!  We played dice and Peyton, Isaac and Eli slept on the hide a bed.  They fell asleep right away.  Jacob won the dice game.  Adam slept on the top bunk and Jacob on the bottom.  Bill, Vikki and I played 3-13.

We had fun today.  Dad had to be up by 6:15 and then off to home.  He had a couple of spots at the VA.  I had set the coffee pot for him but it turned off so he had to leave without his coffee.  We slept in and then ate, went to the store to get candy bars for bingo, and headed to play bingo.  Isaac was the only one of us to win.  He was so happy.  A man at the end of our table won 4 times so he gave Zpeyton hiscandybar.  That made her happy.  We went to the playground for a while  and then went to craft Time.  They made a picture and note for a serviceman.  Came home and ate lunch and went for a bike ride.  Then went on the hayride.  Got back and Papa was back. Yay!  We went and swam and then I came home and got the hobo dinners ready.  Bill cooked them perfectly.  They were delicious.  We played golf.  Dad beat me by 8.  Went for a walk around the camp ground and came back and made smores.  Such a fun day!

It was such a nice sunny morning.  Got up at 7:30 and did my hair.  Then got my cereal and a banana and went outside to eat breakfast.  I had to eat before 9 because after that I couldn't have solids as I am starting to prepare for my colonoscopy.  Read my Bible while I was outside too. Then I went in and saw Isaac was peeking from the top bunk at me.  I asked him if he wanted to come outside with me and he said yes.  Then Peyton wanted to come out too, so I had her come.  We weren't outside too long when I heard Vikki stirring around in the camper.  I went in to help her with the hide a bed and the kids ate their breakfast.  We walked to the store then and the kids picked out something to buy with the money they brought.  They were so happy.  We saw the water truck there filling the outside pool.  YAY it will be ready for the weekend.  Melissa texted me and let me know to pray for Hailey as she was throwing up and not feeling well.  Called Melissa to see how she was and prayed for her and that no one else would get it.  We went back to the camper and got ready to go to the camper store.  I got another rug for in front of the camper because the spot is so dirty.  I would rather pay to have them come empty us than have such a dirty spot.  We both got tear aid at the store too and the kids bought water squirters with their money.  We got back and the kids played with their squirters and Vikki moved all the stuff out of the way so we could put the rug down.  Can't believe she did all that and even moved the heavy picnic table.  I was going t the bathroom and remembered I needed to put chemicals in it.  Didn't know she was doing all of that.  We put the rugs down, turned them a few time so stakes could go in and then ate.  The kids were terrified of bugs at the table.  I finally got the bug candle bucket and lit it.  That helped a little.  Isaac was doing pretty good by then, but Peyton was crying hard.  She finally calmed down.  Yikes, poor Vikki, I hope they get over this fast.  We had Peyton wear sunglasses and told her it would help the bugs be good.  Ha Ha.  After that we went swimming in the inside pool.  It was very nice and not a lot of chlorine smell.  Yay.  We all had fun swimming and then went in the hot tub.  Nice to get good exercise in.  We walked back to the camper and got ready to go on the hayride.  We rode our bikes and were just a minute too late.  It had already taken off.  We will have to go tomorrow instead.  Vikki's new bike is so nice.  It's just like mine and it rides great.

After that I packed up to go home.  Vikki and the kids went to the beach.  It was 87 degrees today.  Real warm but nice not humid.  I left and got home at 5:30.  I washed the bird poop off my windshield that the wipers couldn't reach.  Watered some flowers too.  Came in and ate a jello and then at 6 started drinking the stuff for my colonoscopy.  Wasn't too bad drinking it but awful when I started having to run to the bathroom.  It's 11:56 and I'm still going but not as often at least.  Can't wait till I can go to bed.  Have to get up and drink 2 more liters in the morning from 8 to 10.  Then I will be running to the bathroom again.  Sure hope I can make the ride there without having to go.

Got up and got ready to go get my hair cut at Catherine's.  She did a good job as usual. Baby Catherine was so cute and wanted to come see me.  She just started walking all over.  Called to see if Vikki and Kimmy were at Vikki's but they weren't so I headed home instead of stopping there.  When I got home, dad pulled in and we both started packing the camper up and he hooked the truck up.  We headed out and I asked him if he had the mirrors extended.  He said he forgot to put the extenders on so I sure did pray for his trip up there.   Bill asked me to pass him but then he went so fast I didn't want to. (60 mph) on country roads.  Finally he slowed down for a tractor so I went ahead as he asked me to go ahead of him and find a spot.  Well I stopped at McDonald's and it took the girl forever as she had to go get ones.  All I got was one cheeseburger.  I was almost to the campground when Bill called and was a little upset wondering where I was.  I got there right after him and he had just headed into the campground.  The guy at the gate told me to just go in and then he said Bill was upset because I was supposed to already be there. I said yes I was suppose to be and he said I feel sorry for you; You have to deal with him and he's hot.  I found him and we pulled into the big spot with all the room and all the grass.  He wanted full hook up so he sent me to look by the store.  I saw two really dirty spots and passed them up on the way out and then I saw one that was better.  It still was very dirty though but Bill was happy to have the hook up.  He parked it good and was really nice.  He set all the outside stuff up and did it with a very good attitude. I told him what the guy had said to me.  He left at 4:30 as he had an elder's meeting and Vikki got there at around 6.  I cooked chicken, corn on the cob and potatoes for dinner.  We got Vikki, Peyton and Isaac settled in and then went to the beach so the kids could play.  After the kids went to bed we played 3-13 and dice and Vikki won both games.  Sure was fun!  Praying the kids get over their fear of bugs though.

5/22/12 Bill volunteered to collect money for the Marine Corps League at Walmart

My hibiscus Bruce and Melissa got me many years ago is getting ready to bloom again.  Love this plant!

Went to church than came home and packed more stuff in the camper.  Washed Mocha's eyes out and also brushed her. Went grocery shopping to pick up the rest of the stuff for camping. Vikki, Peyton and Isaac came over to spend some time.  The kids jumped on the trampoline and rode the cart around for a while.  Excited to be going camping.  Praise God I didn't get poison ivy when Kimmy and I were in the woods the other day.  We came in and washed up really good.  I even broke a vine that was winding up a tree and then found out it was poison ivy later.  Sure hope Kimmy didn't get it either.  Haven't heard from her so don't think so.

5/21/16..Celebrated Evan's Birthday! Faith Rider's went to free breakfast and bike blessing at Nativity Lutheran Church...afterwards went to Hailey and Max's track meet

Isaac, Peyton (and Cassie) and Evan at Evan's Birthday.  He was cute.  Instead of wanting to have a friend over from school he wanted Peyton and Isaac for his birthday friends.  Thought that was so sweet.  They always play so good and get along great.

It was cute....Peyton and Isaac asked me if they could open one of Evan's presents and I told them they would get to open all of their presents on their birthday.  Peyton said, "I will let Evan open one of my presents."  Sweet girl!

I got up at 5:30 and got ready to go to breakfast in St. Charles.  The church put it on and it was DELICIOUS.  Eggs, Potatoes, Bacon, Sausage, Pancakes, fresh fruit cut up, plus cinnamon rolls.

Coffee and orange juice too.  There was a bike blessing after the breakfast and then we rode to Millington to a restaurant known for their huge yummy cinnamon rolls.  We got there and they were out.  I was happy because I was full from breakfast and I wanted to leave to go to Hailey and Max's track meet.  I called and it was still going on.  We got there about 12:30 and got to see Hailey run once, Max run once and then Hailey do a relay race with her team.  So much fun and the kids did great.  Hailey and her team are going to State.  They got 4th place.  I had to go in the bathroom and take my long johns off.  It was getting warm.  I sure did appreciate them on the motorcycle in the morning though as it was cool when we started out.  We came home and I worked on taking the plastic up on the side of the house.  Got another section done.  Will be glad to get it all done. Doing a little at a time.  Went to Bruce and Melissa's for Evan's birthday party.  Loved seeing Peyton and Isaac there too.  Nice to see Dan and Brenda too.  We had a nice visit and a really nice time.  Evan love his cake and his presents.  He was so cute when he opened them and so excited.  The kids all loved playing with the marble run.  Fun to watch them all together.  Bruce made burgers on the grill, tuna salad, and a vinegar salad.  Everything was yummy.    Loaded the camper some more and started the refrigerator.
