Laicey FaceTiming me while she was on the bus ride home and making a silly face
We got up at 8:30. Bill was supposed to meet Jeremy to mentor him, but he cancelled. He drank his protein drink and I ate yogurt with granola and cut up strawberries in it.
We both read out Bibles after that and did our prayer/devotion books. I put some worship music on and spent time with the Lord.
I got ready and went and picked up 3 subs at Subway for Lisa, her mom and me. I realized when I got there that they didn’t tell me what kind of cheese they wanted or if they wanted dressing on them. I texted Lisa. Both girls that helped make them, were so kind. The one changed the cheese that was on them to what they wanted and just was so kind as she was doing it. Then after it came out of the oven, the second girl put the toppings on and was just as nice.I went to their house and we all ate and visited. Her mom is going to be 87 and is the sweetest person. That’s where Lisa gets it. Her mom brought out some cupcakes and teased that she made them even though they were in a package. I am so happy to have such kind caring friends. Her mom had eye problems and can’t drive far distances. Lisa has been having seizures and wanted to learn how to drive before that, but now she can’t. I told them to call me if they don’t have a ride somewhere and I will take them if I can. They have a neighbor who is great about taking them to Walmart and other places. Her mom told me about uncrustables, which she had to hunt for in the store for Lisa. They are in the freezer and are little round peanut butter and jelly sandwiches that have the crust off of them. I have a little cutter that does that. They sent me home with one so I could try it after it thawed. I did later and it sure was good. I sure thanked God for surrounding me with such kind people today. Such a gift from the Lord.
I came home and we had about a half hour before we had to leave for the movie. Lainey FaceTimed me on her way home from school. She is a new friend I met at Seasons. She lost her mom recently and is having a hard time. She has close family helping her, but asked if I would be her friend. She is a really sweet person and if I can pray for her and help her I sure want to. We left for the movie and got there, got our popcorn and pops and then went in to the theater. It wasn’t long and the movie started. It was such a touching movie. I needed a box of tissues. At one point I had to keep my self from crying out loud. I was so glad it had a good ending. It is one I will be buying.
Just an amazing ending. I called Vikki back and she said I sounded like I was still crying and I told her I could still cry. She is coming over and bringing some surprise she made but wants to give me when Kimmy is there. Now she has me in suspense.
We came home and I made fried potatoes and eggs. We weren’t very hungry after the popcorn and drinks. I made an angel food cake and got cool whip out of the freezer. Tomorrow morning I will mash up the strawberries for on top. I put batteries in my candles and set the timers so they come on automatically. I also wrapped Gayla’s birthday gift. They are stopping over to get our money for the Hockey for the Homeless game on Saturday. Our church is doing the worship for it.
I worked on my blog and got it done.
