Went to dad's this morning and took him to Meijers. Got back to his house and started running of some of his pictures and we heard a knock at the door. It was Bruce, Melissa, Hailey and Max. Nice surprise. Hailey asked me if she could come stay overnight at my house. She came over and was such a good little girl. She is so much fun to have around. We played dolls, went to pick up Kenzie from school, then picked up grandpa and took him to Bob Evans for dinner. Since it was his birthday (Wed) they gave him a free desert. He picked blackberry cobbler with ice cream. We left there very full. Mykenzie are playing beautician next to me right now and they are having so much fun. It's Max's turn next to spend the night. Someday Adam will be worked in the schedule when he gets a little older
Today we had a get to know you party for all the new children coming into my Sunday School class. We had a fun time just getting to know each other. We have such a nice group of children who are excited about coming to Sunday School. It should be a terrific year.
I was so happy to have Kenzie come over after church. She is always such a sweetie and so much fun. She got right busy making her Grandmother Vikki a special card. She decorated it so beautifully. Went back to church for another class and had a moving time of prayer. God is great!!!
Our hearts were sad today when we got the news that Rody's dad had passed away. He was such a nice godly man and he will be missed very much. He fought the good fight of faith though til the end and now is in the presence of the Lord. Please keep his family in your prayers. We attended the elder's class at church. Left there and went to dad's for a while. Then we took the motorcycle and we were off to the first wedding Bill was doing. It was an absolutely beautiful day and a beautiful setting. It was at the cabin of the bride's parents. The cabin was beautiful, with a pond, gazebo, small cabin with bunks for visitors. The people were very nice, and the food was great. We ate with a couple Bill had married 2 years ago. We sat in the Gazebo right by the water. Nice anniversary dinner, and great atmosphere. It is our 34th today. We are blessed by God. Went to the motorcycle shop where Bill did the second wedding. He did a great job on both the weddings. He has a great heart for serving the Lord. The kids all called to wish us happy anniversary. Hailey got on the phone and had to tell me and papa each about her dance class and how she listens to her teacher. She was so cute. When Kimmy called I could hear Jacob saying hi nana, but when she tried to get him to talk to me, he didn't want to. He wanted mommy to hold, hold him. Such a cutie. Well Bill and I are watching another movie some friends lent us. Hope it's as good as last nights.
Didn't have time to blog yesterday. Off again on the motorcycle for a wonderful ride. Today I made sloppy joes, then went to visit dad. Left there and went to meet best friend, Vikki, for lunch. Had a great visit as usual. She always knows the right things to say and do and she is such a blessing to my life. Stopped back at dad's and ran some of his pictures off for him and put them in a book. Came home pulled weeds I have been going to pull for a month now and then went in to eat. After supper it was time to head off to church for an elder's seminar. Came home and watched a Christian movie Wes and Gayla lent us. Enjoyed it immensly. Tomorrow morning we are off to the elder's seminar again and then we will head over to one of the two weddings Bill is doing. What a way to celebrate our 34th anniversary. Is Bill getting cheap? We are eating out at the weddings. He did have a surprise for me today though. Beautiful red roses awaited me as I walked into our bedroom to get something. He had the bouquet laying on my pillow. What a sweetie!
Kimmy and I took Kenzie to school and then headed over to the Riverside for breakfast. Had good fellowship and the boys were well behaved and adorable. Then Bill and I took a love offering over to a couple we know who's 3 yr. old son got his eye gouged with a dandelion puller. Poor little guy. Our CMA took an offering for them last night so we delivered it. Tomorrow we are sending pizza over to the 5 children while their brother has his surgery. Please keep them in prayer. Took dad's doggie to the vet again for his eye. Have to go back again next week for a recheck. I enjoyed all the comments regarding the newborn pj's I put on Jacob. I had to laugh myself. Thanks for all the input and humor. We took our pool down today. Kenzie swam while the water was going out. The neighbor girls came over for a while and watched too. Always sad to put it away, but don't want tons of leaves falling in it. We met Vik and Kenzie at Culvers for ice cream tonight. Thanks for the call and invite Kenzie.

Jacob made a noise this morning so papa got him up and put him in bed with us. Then I heard them laughing and playing. I thought he was going to have Jacob so wide awake he wouldn't be able to get back to sleep, but by the time I had to get up, he was sound asleep again. He slept good through the night and I only had to get up once to pat his back and tell him I was there for him. That only took about a minute. I took my dad to the dr. and when I got home, Papa had Jacob fed and dressed and was playing with him. They have so much fun together. Papa chases him and he laughs so hard. I forgot to mention, that when I got Jacob's pj's on, I pulled them out of a bag with his bedtime bears, etc. in it. I put them on, and they were very snug. I found a different pair in Jacob's suitcase, but he didn't want to take the ones he had on off. I found out the next day the pj's I put on him were size newborn. Kimmy and Jared got a good laugh and I know they are putting pictures on their blog. Jacob had fun in the sandbox and on the slide. I think he would have stayed out there all day, except we had to go pick up Kenzie from school. He was happy to see his mommy when she came in the afternoon. He ran and gave her the biggest hug ever.
Dad, the girls and families, and Bill and I all gathered together on Labor Day for a cookout. It was a relaxing, fun day with good food, family videos, and beautiful grandchildren. Jacob spent the night and was such a good boy, even though he didn't have a nap all day.
