11/16/16.....Celebrated Gayla's Birthday at Teppanyaki's and then went to Melissa's to celebrate Max's Birthday...the big 10 yr old.

Celebrated Gayla's Birthday at our Faith Rider's Dinner Run

Bill was a big stinker!  He ate my cake while I was talking to Marsha next to me.  She fixed him though.  She gathered about 6 fortune cookies and when he moved to the table ahead of ours, she fired away.  She was a pretty good aim and got him right in the back of the head.  Don't think he'll eat my cake when she's around anymore.  We were all laughing so hard.

Many deer in the field across from us.  You need to zoom in to see them though

Went to Max's 10th Birthday Party at Melissa's.  He didn't want to celebrate until Papa could be there.  Papa had his surgery on Max's birthday.  Then things got busy with the Boar's Head Festival which Max was in and then lots of school work so finally today we could celebrate and give him his gift.  We gave him a bird that talks and repeats what you say.  I was thinking where he had friends over, they might think it was a silly gift, but it was a real hit.  They had so much fun with it and so did Melissa and I.  We laughed so hard.  It can drive a cart, swing itself on it's swing, eat it's pretend food, look at itself in the mirror, sit on it's hand held perch and the more you pet it the more it activates it different movements and sayings.  I will post pics when I get Melissa's as I forgot my phone so couldn't take pictures!

Hailey came home from Max's party with us to watch the movie Love's Enduring Promise.  We had popcorn and enjoyed having our sweet granddaughter spend time with us and stay the night.

I moved the chair for her so she could watch tv and be comfy.   Papa was pretty comfy too as you can see....he is laying on top of the warm heated throw from Kimmy and family which he loves. You can see it is on...see that little light on the couch by his feet ha ha.

11/15/16 Debbie's funeral

Thought this was such a cute picture of Kenzie and Katniss

We got up and got ready and went to Hopevale Church for the funeral.  Bill was doing the Eulogy and the sermon and Pastor Ken from Hopevale was doing the rest.  Bill did an amazing job talking about Debbie and had an outstanding salvation message.  I am so proud of him.  Afterwards we went to the cemetery and Pastor Ken did the committal.  He said perfect people don't go to heaven, people who do works to make up for the bad things they do don't go to heaven, only forgiven people go to heaven and Jesus is the one who forgives.  You only have to believe in him.
We sat with him at the dinner at the church afterwards and he was the nicest person.  We got to share about what God did for Melissa with him and the other couple at our table.
Came home and we decided we were too full to eat so just went to Culver's for a concrete mixer.  I had a coupon for buy one get one free.  After that we came home and watched the movie, War Room.  Such a great movie...life changing!!!

11/14/16 Went to funeral home today

I really like this that Cole posted on his Facebook page.  I am also loving the book Kenzie got me that I memorize and meditate on a verse for a week.  It has so much scripture that explains the one I am meditating on and the ones I have had to memorize I already knew.

Went to the funeral home for Debbie Shafer's family today as she passed away.  Only 61 yrs. old.
Bill married her and her hubby, her sister and her hubby and her brother and his wife.  Bill worked with Debbie's husband, Barry.  Came home an knitted on my bag.  It's coming much better.   We went to our CMA meeting at Sullivan's.  There was a great turn out.  Always love seeing Jackie (Craigie's mom) there.  She is always so sweet to us.

11/13/16...Peyton and Isaac came over and I watched them while Vikki waited for the furnace guy to get there and start working. He never came so she did what she needed to get done and then came to pick them up.

Isaac and Peyton loved playing with Kenzie's dog that eats and poops.  They played for a couple of hours with it and had so much fun.  Then they played cootie.  They were really good about keeping the game away from the dog stuff.  They also were amazing the way they picked up the toys and even took them upstairs and put them away. We had fun playing cootie together too. Peyton won, Isaac came in second and then me.  I was amazed at how good Isaac is doing.  I made homemade mac and cheese for our potluck before Kids care group and youth group.  Chris, Tina, Stacie and Brian, Gabe, Sarah, Pat, Rich and I all ate together.  We were so full after eating all the good food and dessert.
My kiddos in my class wearing the tie dyed socks they made to earn their awards.  Kyra was in Arizona so didn't get to make them.

1/11/16 Isaac had his surgery in Ann Arbor today. We sure were praying

I went upstairs around 8:30 to take a picture of Peyton sleeping and she was snuggled under the covers, but sat up as soon as I started to take a pic.  She came downstairs and ate Lucky Charms.  Then she wanted to play Cootie again.  Vikki kept me posted on their trip down to Ann Arbor, and let me know when they got there.  They couldn't find a parking place when they got there, so I started praying of course.  The surgery wasn't long and Isaac did great.  They came to get Peyton and he was doing amazing.  I was one happy Nana.  Vikki and Rody were going to use their Olive Garden Card so we decided go with them and use our cards.  We had Chicken Alfredo and it was delicious.  We all took some home.  Bill had spaghetti and ate all of his.  Peyton and Isaac split a large plate of spaghetti.  Isaac ate all his and lots of salad and bread sticks.  He was so hungry.  Peyton didn't eat much so took her's home.

1/10/16...Taught Sunday School today...Peyton spent the night

Peyton loved playing the cutie game and then just playing with them afterwards

She put all of them together!

She made them look so cute

Vikki finished her bag.  I am still working on mine.

It was really snowy when I headed to church early.  Bill went to the Army Reserve to Minister early, but since I had to teach, I didn't go with him.  They had yummy Spatz donuts after church.  Peyton was supposed to come home with me from church but didn't make it to church so Vikki brought her later.  She loved the cutie game.  She like just putting them to gather and played with them for so long.  I told her she could sleep on a sleeping bag in my room and she said she would do that.  A little later, she told me she wanted to sleep in the bed upstairs. When I took her upstairs she said she wanted to sleep on the sleeping bag on the floor instead of in the bed.  I made it up for her and then got all the night lights on and she decided she wanted to sleep in the warm bed.  She went to bed so good and slept the whole night.

1/8/16 Kimmy, Vikki and Peyton came over today again as Kimmy's sheep will be lambing next week and she won't be able to come over for a while.

Peyton was a good girl playing by herself.  Isaac stayed with his daddy.   We did more knitting on our bags.  Really hard for me....not getting very far as I have to rip rows out so much.  Continuing to try though.
