4/24/17...Walked, met Louise, Becky, Dave, Wes and Gayla at Levi's for lunch, did some yard work, Bill presented award to manager of McDonalds

Bill presenting an award to the Manager of McDonalds on Bay Road for providing coffee for the Veterans at the vet center.

Got up early and walked 3 miles at the Sports Zone.  At 11:30, Bill and I met Wes, Gayla, Becky, and Dave at Levi's.  Bill and I  had yummy 1/2 turkey grilled sandwich and noodle soup.  Delicious.
Louise, Dave and Becky just got home from Florida last night.  Happy that Louise will be at our Tuesday breakfast again.  Becky and Dave went on a trip to Israel a couple of weeks ago and shared about it and showed us pictures.  We had a very nice visit.  I went to Aldi's after that and got a few things.  Came home and hoed flower beds and dug out thorn plants by the ditch.  It was beautiful out again today.  Bill went to McDonald's on Bay Rd. and presented and award on behalf of the Marine Corp. league to the manager for providing coffee for the veterans at the vet center.  Bill had an Elder's meeting.  I finished cleaning the house while he was gone.  Watched the movie Blank Check.

4/23/17....Went to church, Kenzie came over, read Vikki and Kimmy's journals from school at age 11 while relaxing on the swing on the front porch, watched a movie called A Street Cat named Bob

Got up early. Got ready for church and then sat on the swing on the back porch and read my Bible.  When Bill was ready, we headed for church.  Good worship and message today!  Nice sitting with the girls and their families.  When I got home, Kenzie called and wanted to come over and set up her GED.  I quickly made goulash as I know she loves it and I had the stuff for it.  She was pretty happy to have some and asked to take some home for later.  We set up her testing times.   So happy she wants to do this now and isn't putting it off.  She showed me her throat.  She has strep throat pretty bad and is on an antibiotic.  I didn't get too close!!!  It looks terrible. After she drove home, she called me to tell me she loved me.  Love that girl!   I sat outside on the swing and enjoyed the nice weather.  Loved reading Kimmy and Vikki's journals Mrs. Bilby had them write when they were in school.  I had some good laughs and some proud moments while reading them.  Sure love my girls.  (All three of them)  In the evening we watched a movie called "Bob the Street Cat" which was a true story.

4/21/17 Went to Turkey Roost for Perch! It was delicious

Talk about silly geese...These ones did a dance for us

We went out to eat and had perch at the Turkey Roost. We asked them where they got their perch from and they told us, so we drove to Pinconning and picked some fish up.  The guy was really nice.  Bill got us lost and we went about 20 miles out of our way because he took us to the West side of the road instead of East.  The place was right on the water.  We had fun and lots of laughs traveling and teasing Bill.  These geese came really close to us (we were in the car)

We came back home and played Euchre.  This is Charlie and Bill in the Easter Candy jar!

The girls came over and we decorated lunch bags for Aunt Vikki.  There are lots to do!  We got quite a few done and had so much fun working together on them.  I will add a picture later.  Met with some friends from Faith Rider's and helped with Bingo at Community Village.  The residents love playing and we love helping them.  Went to Wes and Gayla's afterward and played 5 Crowns.  It's like 3-13 only no A's and 5 suits (Stars is the 5th one)  We had fun and had yummy homemade Molasses and also Peanut Butter with a chocolate kiss in the middle cookies.

Small smiles

Went to Sportszone and walked 3 miles. They were putting new LED lighting in so got extra steps because we had to go through the turf room since they had the track roped off in one section.
Pastor Bob was there so talked to him for a while.  Came home and it was nice out so read my Bible outside.  Bill sold Vikki's car.  I went to help Vikki with her lawn trim.  She was working hard and had it mostly done.  We went and got breakfast sandwiches at McDonalds.  I had a coupon for them.  We sat on the swing and ate.  Rody got home at noon and gave me the title to the car to take to Bill.  Bill went to the Marien Corp. League.  I went to the cemetery and put a cross up on my mom and dad's grave.  On my way home, I was going to go look at the newest Eagle's next we saw, when I got a call from Kenzie.  She was in Saginaw and wanted know if I was going to be home and if Papa was home.  I told her I could be home in 5 minutes, so skipped going to see the Eagles and headed home.  She and Trevor stopped over.  They helped decorate bags for kid's snack dinner sacks that will be handed out in schools in West Michigan.  They had fun and so did I.

Me and Vikki at Logans

Vikki wrapped my present and it was beautiful.  Everything was wrapped beautiful but I loved the pretty birdcage on this one so took a picture

We went to breakfast. After that, I went to McDonald Nursery to get a birthday gift for Vikki.  Found a cute owl lawn spinner.  Went to Menard's, but didn't see anything I liked better there.
Then I went home and changed and then met Vikki E. at Logan's for lunch.  After almost 40 some years of meeting for birthday lunches, this is the first time we both had a gift for each other that was too big to take in.  We opened them outside and put them in our car.  We went in and ate Grilled Salmon, Asparagus and potatoes and then opened our gifts.  I got a beautiful camper floor mat, camper bag, Fix it and Forget it Crockpot cookbook, Lucy scrubber, post it notes,  travel bag, picture frame, and cute camper clip.  I got her a cute owl lawn spinner and a decorative red wheel barrow decoration for her porch.  We had such a nice visit and shared what God has been doing.  We have had so many answered prayers and miracles throughout the years.  We went to the Christian Book Store that is closing after lunch.  Got a few deals.  Vikki and Bill picked up a swing for for $40 that Vikki saw on Facebook while I was with Vikki E.  They put it on the back deck and put my other one on the front porch.  So nice to be able to sit on it and watch the sunset.  Bill and I watched a movie.
